Hi mzlizzi :-) I have contributed countless comments across Substack without doing so but understand it may appear that way if you only see a portion of my responses. I include links when they are pertinent to the subject at hand, as in this case, and thousands of readers have expressed appreciation for my alerting them to the relevant pieces.
If I have an existing resource with hundreds of pertinent references for those who wish to delve further into the topic, why wouldn’t I share it? Substack is about cross-pollination of ideas, and I am grateful to other writers who share their work in kind. I learned about many of my favorite writers from them posting links to their articles (e.g., Igor Chudov, Mark Oshinskie) in the comments, and I am grateful that they made the effort to both create and share their work so I and others can be aware of it.
I understand if you’re not interested yourself, but many other people are, so you can skip over whatever you (dis)like while others can pluck whichever flowers they find intriguing as they peruse.
Well said Margaret. It is lovely to see differing opinions and rebuttals that are free of inflammatory statements. Such a breathe of fresh air to read level-headed differing opinions.
Margaret's comment is spot on. She has done monumental research and monumental writing in this space. Virtually none of us discover other substacks except by clicking through on comments we find germane/worth a look. How else would you suggest finding them?
I have not clicked on many advertised substacks and, conversely, have become a founding subscriber on others to which I clicked through. The ability to see more of what someone interesting has said is part of the power of the platform.
If it bothers you, I suggest you just do not click on the links. But you will be harming only yourself and losing much of the power of the platform.
Sometimes the comment section is as much of an interest as the article itself. So by giving an additional article you allow additional comments which continues to expand the horizon of one’s learning. Thank you Margaret Anna and Tessa.
You and Tessa were amazing additions to C & C this week. Thank you. Wish I weren’t unemployed currently or I’d pay for all these blog subscriptions. So ironic to see someone scold you for hitch-hiking off C & C to promote additional information from an article you researched and blogged, only to see you as the guest contributor on C & C the following day. Little crow in their diet this week, as a result.
Thank you for your kind words, Greg, and please don’t feel badly about being unable to subscribe. Your moral support is infinitely more valuable and meaningful to me 🤗
Kudos to you MAA for responding to mzlizzi. When people criticize others - and she seems to zero in on you for some odd reason, they lack credibility of their own so feel the need to minimize yours to inflate themselves.
It didn’t seem like an observation to me. Perhaps I read it incorrectly. It seemed like a criticism. A criticism that each of us has control over. So I’m a bit confused.
I just don’t understand why you felt the need to be so critical ...unity is important in these times and we are all different and so we think differently...some are the passing on of information as promotion and others as resource...some see commenting about the same topic all the time as passion while others see it as annoying...the left puts up with each other and is far more unified...I stand for unity and when something bothers me I just let I go unless it is directed at me personally or is vile or otherwise morally wrong.
I've noticed too, find it distasteful (like spamming), and was shocked that Jeff gave MAA -of all people- the spotlight (and probably advertising cred she can use) of first guest blogger.
I’m a real person, Gigi, not just a name on a screen. I understand that it’s easy to say things about people you don’t know based on certain assumptions or impressions, but I’m guessing you’ve never spent time reading my writing or getting to know the person behind the comments you find so irritating.
If you had, you would realize I am sharing these because thousands of people have found them valuable in helping to deepen their understanding, awaken the sleeping, fight tyranny, and end democide. These are my overriding, all-consuming passions, and I am devoting every possible second to doing that.
Part of that mission involves sharing that information with like-minded people who appreciate the opportunity to learn, find hundreds of vetted references packaged in an accessible format, and take action on items like #StopTheWHO and #StopTheShots. The majority of the C&C army shares my desire to reverse totalitarianism and end mass murder and thus appreciates these opportunities and tools.
I am sorry you and a few others have the impression that this is about self-promotion or advertising. If I wanted more attention, I wouldn’t keep turning down interview requests so I could remain focused on writing more essays.
If you ever create content you feel has the potential to contribute to our shared goals of defeating tyranny and saving lives, I hope you will not hesitate to share it with the C&C army and anywhere else where kindred spirits are joining together to restore our liberties, defend truth, and protect humanity.
Are you attempting to preach to the choir or persuade the skeptical?
Clearly you have a giant fan club among the CC choir. Part of the reason your comments are so prominent here and hard to avoid is that I sort comments by "top" and you get many likes.
But the spamming is a turn-off to me. If your essays are so good and so powerful then people like me will be attracted by the profundity of your comments to click on your name and read your blog. I must have seen you advertise your essay about Covid shots for children at least 10 times and I find the advertising distasteful. It does not attract me to read it. Also, the fact that Jeff chose you to be his first substitute blogger brings him down a bunch of notches in my estimation.
If that hurts your feelings, I'm sorry, but since you replied to me personally, I am taking the opportunity to be brutally honest. There is just something about the constant advertising (spamming) that I find distasteful and I am not inclined to provide positive reinforcement for that behavior.
You have now increased the size of your fan club with Jeff's help. Congratulations!
I am attempting to reach out to you human being to human being, Gigi.
What you regard as “spamming,” I view as sharing valuable information that can be used by others as desired to help fight totalitarianism and save lives—goals you presumably share.
The specific article you referenced, for example, resonated with so many because they felt it packaged compelling, irrefutable resources in such a way that it *may* be able to penetrate the programming of indoctrinated parents and thus save the lives of children and perhaps even the parents.
I don’t mind brutal honesty—I practice it myself, particularly with Covidians. What I mind is when someone projects fallacious assumptions about a person’s motives and character based on their interpretation of a behavior they dislike, particularly when we are both fighting for the same ends.
In any case, I appreciate your reply and wish you well, one tyranny-resister to another.
Jeff's a lawyer in FL with lots of cachet- I anticipated Christina Pushaw, Kyle Lamb, or Dr Ladapo
OR one of the numerous public figures CC has "multiplied": Christopher Rufo would have been AWESOME and also deserved to clarify to those skeptics of his "multiplication" why he is a good pick.

Tried to "like," the tech failed, so I'm doing it in person: LIKE!! 😁
So I learned that you just have to refresh the page and your "like" will show. It happens to me a lot.
I needed that whole-body laugh this afternoon- TY! Blessings to you

I appreciate your gracious words, Tucson Tanya 🤲

I am grateful to and for you, Dr. K 🙏
Many, many of us subscribe to both C&C and Margaret Anna Alice - I highly recommend both (as well as bad cattitude for high-level snark)
Same
It is an honor to have you as part of the beautiful communities we are creating together, Rick & Wanda 🙌

I totally agree. I'm always looking for extra info in the comment section that I otherwise wouldn't have found.

Yes, and it was an honor I did not take lightly and am profoundly grateful for.
I agree—Dr. Lapado would be a great choice should the opportunity arise in future.
Peace out.
