Though the fig tree should not blossom

And there be no produce on the vines,

Though the yield of the olive should fail

And the fields yield no food,

Though the flock should be cut off from the fold

And there be no cattle in the stalls,

Yet I will exult in Yahweh;

I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.

Yahweh, the Lord, is my strength,

And He has set my feet like hinds’ feet

And makes me tread on my high places.

— Habakkuk 3:17-19 LSB

To be grateful in the midst of EXTREME SCARCITY is indeed challenging - but we who name the name of the Lord Jesus Christ can be THANKFUL for salvation and the comfort of knowing this world is NOT our home. Our REAL HOME has been prepared for us for THOUSANDS OF YEARS by the Creator of EVERYTHING.

Remember these words as they are being given to me to share with my fellow C & C'ers by the Holy Spirit (who never lies).

When the pandemic began…

I began to start every day by sitting on the edge of my bed and saying, “today I put my faith and trust in God”

And that will now be something I do for every day of my life here in this earthly place. It’s been a great spiritual awakening for me. And I think for many others too, even within my immediate family. And that is one blessing in this whole mess.

This sharing brought tears of joy to my heart (and eyes), Truthseeker!!! Indeed...the believers of "The Way" were persecuted beyond our comprehension - and that is how WE know the Gospel--they went "underground" and migrated to the "western countries" away from Israel and the persecution by the Romans in charge at that time.

FLEE TO THE ROCK WHO IS HIGHER THAN OURSELVES, FRIENDS--THE "ROCK" CHRIST JESUS!!

I believe the pandemic created more people turning to God, something they didn't expect. The churches failed us, but people are working around that.

I share that sentiment.

The churches did fail us- In a multitude of ways.

My church became a ‘reconciling’ church during that time…

If I wrote a book on THIS topic… it still wouldn’t be enough. So.

Certainly not my cup of tea. People can be whatever they want but when they start shoving it down my throat and doing all the marketing and indoctrination nonsense is when I get angry. I will not accept it.

And it’s my understanding from our church counsel that the churches PAY to join/support this… so they’re really funding geopolitical ideology. We had to get rid of our organist because of budget cuts and money is being spent here instead. It is upsetting.

I would be upset w/that. Crazy they are spending money on it, that they pay for it to join.

For me, it’s Ps.118:24 : ‘This is the day the Lord hath made; let us rejoice and be glad in it’. Even when it’s difficult...

It's faith borne out of 77 years lived on this sad, sin-stained world!! My ONLY HOPE is my salvation through FAITH in The Way--the Lord Jesus Christ, Creator of all things, past, present and future!

If I had my druthers:

“Then I will pay back to you in full for the years

That the swarming locust has consumed,

The creeping locust, the stripping locust, and the gnawing locust,

My great military force which I sent among you.

And you will have plenty to consume and be satisfied

And praise the name of Yahweh your God,

Who has dealt wondrously with you;

Then My people will never be put to shame.

Thus you will know that I am in the midst of Israel,

And that I am Yahweh your God,

And there is no other;

And My people will never be put to shame.

We earnestly desire each of you to demonstrate the same eagerness for the fulfillment of hope until the end, so that you may not become sluggish, but imitators of those who, through faith and patience, are inheriting the promises. Hebrew 6:11-12

One of the reading today in my Magnificat...I believe faith over fear is so important in our lives and it is especially necessary that we share it with those around us. A smile, a kind word, a show of faith can bring around even the hardest of hearts.

This reminds me of one of my favorite books "Hinds Feet on High Places". If anyone hasn't read this, I recommend it. It's a short feel-good book.

This has been on my heart lately, but I didn't have a Scripture readily in mind.

Thank you, Janice!

This has to be our posture going forward.

I wonder. When famine becomes real, will we bless His Name? Will we thank Him for the manna or whine for quail? When our mouths are dried from thirst, will we cry out for the Living Water or wished we were back in Egypt?

My thoughts and knowledge about myself scare me. Do I know me? Do I know Him? Does He know me?

I have a feeling we are soon going to find out who we are. And I have not a dab of faith in me.

I understand. I wonder if I only trust Him because life is pretty good and relatively easy compared to third world or second world (is that a thing?) standards. I don't really want to know the answer . . . or maybe I already do . . .

Sounds like the WEF world food control plan kicking in.....yet YHWH is to be extolled rather than blamed for the desolation, as MAN's WORLD SYSTEM is what is used opposing humanity, Nature, and Divine Order-Goodness. MAN is better at defining Good and Evil, Order and Chaos, and subduing the heavens and the earth, or so the rebellious, Anti-Theistic Apex-Elitists assert and endeavor to showcase to the Creator-Architect of All as they construct their Techno-Babel upon enslaved herd humanity and micro-managed planetary systems.
