Uh, for thoss upvoting this while ignoring the "bring free speech back to c&c" comment just below it, I think there may be a bigger picture at play here, with a lot more at stake... Just thinking out loud.

Jayson--is Childers permitting AI to 'rank' our Comments now? I just found out my Comment from today is being 'grayed out' and 'buried' so most people cannot see it.

What's UP with that, friend? You can PM me at grannasharon@gmail.com if you wish

Dear Sharon, good question, if you read this thread it should bring you up to speed:

Substack is changing in all the wrong ways, we cannot go along with it.

And this one isn’t yet! It’s up with the rest to see. The ai crawler hasn’t found it yet 🤣

about 3-4 days ago this weird feature appeared, not in other substacks I’ve seen though. WTH?

I know, kinda funny but I hope everyone will cursor down to Tri Torch's post on the Auto Censorship issue we are now facing on SS. Its a far more important issue than the cactus dick pic. Upvote Tri Torch's post now! Lets get the answer from Jeff Childers.

Also, Please consider removing (un-selecting) your upvote on McCarthy's comment so we can all push Tri's comment to the top.

There is this site for a Childers Law in Florida. Which is all I know about him.

Lol! Jeff was on Mike Rowe's Podcast, "The Way I Heard It", not too long ago, which is how I found my way to "C&C! He sounded like an interesting, informed and well equipped person to do the 'DEEP' DIVE into the minutia required to untangle the twisted web of Government decption!

A.'s avatar

This is what AI has to say (none of which is surprising if you look at his several newsletters to the large fundamentalist community in the US, as well as this Substack).

Jeff Childers, the attorney-turned-writer behind the popular Coffee & Covid newsletter on Substack, does not publicly disclose his specific income. However, industry metrics offer a look at his scale:

Audience Size: He has cultivated a substantial following, ranking among Substack's top influencers in the health politics and commentary space, with over 120,000 subscribers.

Earnings Potential: While Childers does not share exact dollar figures, top Substack writers with a following of this size often generate significant six-figure annual incomes primarily through paid premium subscriptions.

nik's avatar

yes ! I do know he is a lawyer lol ;)) …he is definitely the concrete finisher of the law though lol

A.'s avatar
25mEdited

His firm seems to have a couple of other lawyers, so maybe Jeff allows them to use his firm, to keep it operating and pay a cut, while Jeff himself concentrates on SS income (he has several SS sites/newsletters) - which is lucrative.

He never actually says, so this is my speculation.

I am always a bit amused by the Substack hosts who dig into and shred everyone else on a daily basis, but whose own goings-on are kept shrouded in mystery.

I liked the “Achilles’ groin” turn of phrase. Also prize-worthy!

All, Substack's new 'Auto-Moderation' censorship is still enabled on C&C so let's try to get Jeff's attention so he will disable it:

If you count yourself uninterested in some random "AI" algorithm first reading then capriciously concealing your and others' words here, upvote this post and reply to it with, "No Auto-Moderate", plus your reasons for why.

We have always had the option to choose for ourselves who we don’t want to be exposed to, and each of us has a different standard level for making those choices for ourselves. I don’t like anyone making it for me, ai or not. No one-size-fits-all solution exists. It needs to be each individual’s choice.

Susan Seas's avatar

The other day when I was scrolling through comments, I thought what happened to all the trolls? Did they move on? Oh yeah, I forgot I figured out how to block them! The start of my day has been much calmer. 😄

Yeah. Had to shut down a checking account and start anew recently. I have found it to be virtually impossible to speak with a human being at a business now. I gave up on one insurance company, ( I think an accident

policy that I’ve probably paid into for decades and can’t find the paperwork and don’t have a policy #), when I couldn’t get through the online gatekeeper or the phone # gatekeeper.

I actually wrote them a letter saying either a live human being fixes this, or the policy expires! I don’t care anymore.

Since every time I call a business #, I hear “We are experiencing an unusually high number of calls…” I have to assume I’m not the only one stymied by the merciless AI gatekeepers.

Also, the like button only works sporadically and the back arrows don’t always work. What’s going on here?

Juju's avatar

Yes that started a couple weeks before the hiding. Frustrating

Request an answer from you Jeff Childers. Certainly you do not approve of the new algorithmic auto censorship policy on SS and will "untoggle" it on C&C? Thank you.

Sharon Beautiful Evening's avatar

I believe J. C. is too busy now to bother - so he's allowing the AI to do the 'job' for him as far as the Comments section is concerned--very disconcerting and it smacks on censorship--which is why I UNsub'ed from Facepoop after 12 years in 2021.

Juju's avatar

I don’t think he chose to do that purposefully. We think he is unaware that it rolled out active automatically and needs manual intervention to turn it off. Many authors will be unaware.

I say no to auto-moderation.

But it is nice side effect to have the spiciest comments gathered into one spot. That said, I'd rather it didn't for free speech.

"Reply Rules automatically hide comments and note replies that break your community standards — without deleting them or notifying the commenter."

In case you haven’t noticed, Flock Safety has contracted with law agencies to install AI powered cameras across the entire US. They are in our county at every entry and exit point. They are supposedly to capture license plates, but have the ability to do more, including object, vehicle, and facial recognition, behavior and crowd analysis, detect audio, and even potentially integrate with other devices. You can view the cameras at maps.deflock.org. These cameras can track you across the US. How creepy is that? They have constructed a digital prison around us. Please contact every public official you know and demand they cancel their contract and get rid of the Flock cameras. As Edward Snowden said, “Arguing that you don't care about privacy because you have nothing to hide is like arguing that you don't care about free speech because you have nothing to say.”

A.'s avatar

They always tell you the reason for controlling you is "public safety". Remember the COVID-mania excuses?

It is the supposedly kind and jolly Pied Piper who must be leading you to good places. But actually, he is leading the naive children over a cliff.

A.'s avatar

England has these cameras everywhere too. Has for many years. Bad news.

SadieJay's avatar

That is how they charge you pounds for traveling in certain places as well. I always though 'meh, they are keeping the congestion down around London'. That was 15 years ago. Yeah...no. Welcome to The Matrix.

I was ‘grayed out’ because I criticized our Governor for making Ivermectin unavailable in KY by threatening pharmacists and doctors .

Yet, a substack that used the ‘N’ word in its title, was free to do so. Had I used that word in a comment it would have been ‘hidden’.

Sharon Beautiful Evening's avatar

It all has to do with the 'bent' of the engineers who construct the AI used on ANY platform - be it here or around the globe!

E. Grogan's avatar

Thanks for the like on my post re: ivermectin. And more importantly thanks for letting us know our comments are being hidden! That is absolutely horrifying! Maybe a class action lawsuit is in order?

TriTorch's avatar

Not really? You move away from your grandkids, friends and neighbors, and a business that employs 100 people, as well as a 93 year old mother who couldn't take the move. We live in a Republican district, with a sheriff that fought for us during COVID. It IS hard to pack up and leave from our home we've lived in since 1983, when Republican George Deukmejian was governor . . . not that I haven't thought long and hard of it!

It is not always possible for people to leave especially if they own a farm, a business, or have family obligations.

Susan Seas's avatar

That philosophy is a slippery slope. How much of America are you willing to give up?

Jacquijacq's avatar

SCOTUS will fold and give it the “no standing” BS!!!!

GregWA's avatar

I read that Councilwoman Whatshername, the one allegedly ahead of Pratt, got 24% of the first 64% of ballots, but then 40% of the next 25% or something like that. We're talking 100s of thousands of ballots in each tranche. "Late surge by Progressives" is the reason given...BS!

Statistically more likely to win the Powerball 489 times in a row or get a coherent statement from Joe Biden or Kamala Harris.

J. Lincoln's avatar

Those "late surges" by progressives are 100% predictable in all three Left Coast states elections. The uniparty (democrat) status of CA, OR, and WA are black holes that will continue to rot in their neo-marxist cauldrons of graft and ineptitude as long as they are the ones counting the votes.

Deb's avatar

As I have said many times before, Congress is broken! There are very few who will even stand up and try to do something about the fraud. The majority are spineless and self-seeking. All they care about is their pension and any kick backs that might come their way. I believe that we, the American people need to inundate our leaders until they are so tired of hearing from us that they will give an attempt to right this ship. In Luke 18:1-8, we are given a parable of an unrighteous judge and a widow. The widow kept going to the judge for legal protection. The judge finally relented he said that although he did not fear God nor respect man, he would give the widow protection so that she would not wear him out. I believe that is what the citizenry may need to do??????

TDawg's avatar

We were told in the drops that we needed to watch California for election fraud evidence. I think they’re tracking the fraud there, but mainly it’s a wake up call for the normies. Sometimes you can’t just tell the people, you have to show them.

Karmy's avatar

It’s all about the mail in ballots. That’s the issue. Not ID. That’s where the steal comes from. Same day in person elections are the only way the Dem’s can’t cheat.

Bard Joseph's avatar

All fraud by the uniparty if not using paper ballots.

VelvetStitching's avatar

California is a state in this United States Union! WHY should the Left Marxists be left to destroy this state and dump all the citizenry (that can escape) on the other 49?! STOP THE CHEATING! Have a ONE day election! NO online voting (there are people from Pakistan voting online! In a California election! Fact!) there is no accountability!

REQUIRED verified ID to vote!

And surely an algorithm can detect if a vote has been placed so it cannot be done twice!

With all the tech we have today? STOP THE CHEATING!

"Reckoning"? I'm not so sure.

Fauci is still walking free.

Cuomo was never prosecuted for his nursing home manslaughter.

Baric and Hotez, same. Others, same.

Yes, I get it, it takes time, but time is not something we have. If we lose the midterms, this all gets memory holed. Trump will have higher priorities, like defending against new impeachments. Would the four RINOs who just voted against SAVE vote for Trump's conviction? I would not put it past them.

If five lawyers take 3 years to put together a case, can 50 lawyers do it in 3 months? I appreciate that math may not work quite that way, but it's been 6 years now since the reveal of this crime against humanity.

I do not have your patience, Jeff, or your optimism, confidence that a "Reckoning" is underway.

One thing I’ve been thinking is how some criticism makes losing the midterms the end-all be-all … and I do get it - they will make changes that converts our system to match CA and we would never be able to vote our way out of it. But they DO have to have the executive branch too and they won’t after midterms.

However, there is still a possibility that they get control and we take it back two years later regardless of their corrupt efforts. Maybe we need the circus to become that much more obnoxious, obvious, and painful to wake the rest of the people up and then 2028 goes to the Republicans again.

All I’m trying to say is we need to vote midterms like it is the end of it all, but not lose our head or hope if we lose.

Having worked most of my 4 careers where I was the only woman in the room on the level I was, I can tell you that "men who can't keep their pants zipped" is a huge problem. (Yes, there are also women with it, but if you go to a Domestic violence case, odds are the woman is the victim)

The race is not necessarily won by the swift nor the fight to the strong, but that's the way to bet.

A guy in our neighborhood tried to break up with his predator (seriously) girlfriend in January. Nice guy. Seriously wounded vet. Older, lonely...she found him and I'm guessing brought a viagra dispenser to dispense the things like Tick tacs. He wanted to break up. She staged a DV (domestic violence) - even the police knew it was phony, but the laws favored her. She stayed living in his house for 6 months. Just got evicted by the Sheriff Dept. They had 4 guys there because they wanted a ton of witnesses. WHAT did this cost him in money and grief? His son in law a PO told him to keep his pants zipped. I will remind him of that when he gets back into his home. (She is a full blown mental case).

If our officials could "keep their pants zipped," then the opposition wouldn't have anything on them and they could do their jobs.

Those who live honorably don't have to worry about such things. Those who are not honorable are generally easy targets once someone who is in the "I don't care" club goes after them.

Lesson for people around me....don't do anything around me that you don't want known. I'm the president of the "I don't care" club. I vowed and taught in the police academy that I was not going to jail for what anyone else did. So, don't do stuff like that in front of me.

Street justice is beautiful. Hotez? How much money do you have? Send it to Dr. Lee.

Remember- street justice is true justice. Just ask Hilary. She can't get invited to a dog catcher's convention. Obama is finding that out. Takes longer than we like.

Always also remember there is "God's time and Our time." One has a longer time frame than the other. One is more permanent.

It would seem that Ms Lee must have been concerned enough about Dr Hotez that she kept his most damning texts rather than deleting them. Instructively most all the trophy bucks are killed while in rut or being driven from cover. Clinton, Cuomo, Epstein, Lord Monteblanc, Prince Andrew, Delorean, Woods, Spitzer, Hart and even Mark Antony- the list of trophies who got their lust ahead of their survival instincts is legendary. It also seems all of them made it worse by their responses to the exposure.

Lori's avatar

Difference is, trophy bucks deserve to live while the ones you named do not.

King Cavalier II's avatar

That’s an interesting take. It’s unclear if you’re suggesting we murder them and turn cannibals to consume their human flesh as we are legally required to make use of the elk and deer we kill. Or, perhaps to you humans are less deserving of life than deer having turned thoughtless due to a raging hard-on.

In either case, I do enjoy game meat. It is uniquely the perfect combination of Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids:

Wild deer, elk, antelope, bison, and other free-ranging herbivores often have ratios near 2:1 to 4:1.

Modern grain-fed beef may range from 7:1 to 20:1 or higher.

Grain-fed poultry and pork can be even more omega-6 dominant.

I credit a lifetime of great health to the consumption of what I kill. You simply can’t get it anywhere else nor will your supplements make up for your plastic/ chemical derived nutrients.

Thanks for the reminder as I am now celebrating the passing of the midpoint of the 3rd anniversary of my 29th birthday and making ready for another great year in the woods.
