At sea level the engines are incapable of producing the trust required for such speed. Additionally 500 mph at sea level is well beyond the VMO of any commercial airliner.
In November 2001 we saw what happens to an airplane traveling beyond VMO at sea level but still slower than 300 mph when the UAL flight crashed in Queens. The pilot ripped the tail off the airplane trying to evade turbulence and both engines were ripped off as it fell from the sky. All while under 300 mph.

A lot of people think the planes were diverted, and the passengers and crew murdered.
Those towers had vertical steel box beams every 3 feet all the way around, and the floors were made of reinforced concrete. At the very least, the edges of the wings would have broken off.
People thought they saw planes hit the towers, but those were likely holograms. The holograms probably were being transmitted by missiles contained within the apparent plane outline.
The images of the planes were never all that good. There were no reflections of the sun, no airline designation visible, no windows, etc. At one point part of a wing appeared to disappear (probably due to smoke causing the hologram projection to fail). The nose of one plane appeared to extend beyond the building at one point.
Obviously that means a LOT of work had to be done to give the appearance of airplane cartoon cutouts in the building sides.
Good questions, as a friend of mine lived in Manhattan during that time period. He describes seeing planes hitting buildings as he was walking to work, and of course the debris such that it was hard to breathe. He ended up leaving the area for a short time.

First couple of times I flew after 9/11, I got pulled out at the gate for extra search (remember when they were doing that?). I finally asked why I got pulled out of line. Me! Back when i was working, i would get the order to be at an assembly plant "tomorrow" first shift, went home, packed a minibag, drove to the airport, picked up tickets at the desk, walked to the gate and onto the plane, sometimes the last one on. Life was simple then, at least the travel part!

I need to get from Charleston to Los Angeles for an upcoming trip. There was 1 flight that is non-stop. And only for the journey out. None for the returning leg of my journey. There were a bunch of planes making up to 4 switches from one plane to another though. Layover times in between flights were as low as 40 minutes to up to 5 and 1/2 hours. Costs were over the moon. Some of which Iām sure is tied to the current insanity going on at the airports. And the final coup de grĆ¢ce is that if I want MY money returned DIRECTLY to me if things go sideways and cancellations occur, I must pay them additional hundreds of dollars for that to happen.
Travel used to be much more pleasant and simpler. It didnāt have to be this way.
Or if you missed your flight on say American you could walk over to United and get on one of their planes. Then monthly the two airlines would true up the exchanges. Good times. Well, except for the smoking sections in the back of the planes.

Meanwhile, you WON'T use the tools that actually work:
Rule XIX limits each senator to two speeches per legislative day. Keep the Senate in continuous session, file cloture daily, and the filibuster exhausts in ~12-20 days. You dismissed it as "complicated." Because if you tried and succeeded, you'd have to actually pass the bill.
I hope DataRepublican is wrong; but I have never known her to be. Thune may be a snake; but he may also see the wisdom of acceding to mounting pressure. Supposedly Sen. Kennedy is drafting a new bill (ten days' work, supposedly) to frame voting non-citizens as a budgetary matter, inasmuch as they receive benefits to which only citizens are entitled.

The problem is how the FBI does interviews. Apparently they are not videotaped or recorded at all. The FBI takes notes and then transfers the info to a report called a 302. The person that was interviewed does not get to see a copy to ensure veracity.

500 mph is not beyond the capability of an airliner. Placarded maneuvering speed is of no concern to a kamikaze.
At sea level the engines are incapable of producing the trust required for such speed. Additionally 500 mph at sea level is well beyond the VMO of any commercial airliner.
In November 2001 we saw what happens to an airplane traveling beyond VMO at sea level but still slower than 300 mph when the UAL flight crashed in Queens. The pilot ripped the tail off the airplane trying to evade turbulence and both engines were ripped off as it fell from the sky. All while under 300 mph.

AFAIK, many eyewitnesses saw planes hit buildings? AFAIK, there were people in those planes, who died? There were people in the buildings who died. And the buildings did collapse.

A lot of people think the planes were diverted, and the passengers and crew murdered.
Those towers had vertical steel box beams every 3 feet all the way around, and the floors were made of reinforced concrete. At the very least, the edges of the wings would have broken off.
People thought they saw planes hit the towers, but those were likely holograms. The holograms probably were being transmitted by missiles contained within the apparent plane outline.
The images of the planes were never all that good. There were no reflections of the sun, no airline designation visible, no windows, etc. At one point part of a wing appeared to disappear (probably due to smoke causing the hologram projection to fail). The nose of one plane appeared to extend beyond the building at one point.
Obviously that means a LOT of work had to be done to give the appearance of airplane cartoon cutouts in the building sides.
Good questions, as a friend of mine lived in Manhattan during that time period. He describes seeing planes hitting buildings as he was walking to work, and of course the debris such that it was hard to breathe. He ended up leaving the area for a short time.

Me! Back when i was working, i would get the order to be at an assembly plant "tomorrow" first shift, went home, packed a minibag, drove to the airport, picked up tickets at the desk, walked to the gate and onto the plane, sometimes the last one on. Life was simple then, at least the travel part!
Even purchasing a ticket nowadays is way more difficult than it ought to be.

I need to get from Charleston to Los Angeles for an upcoming trip. There was 1 flight that is non-stop. And only for the journey out. None for the returning leg of my journey. There were a bunch of planes making up to 4 switches from one plane to another though. Layover times in between flights were as low as 40 minutes to up to 5 and 1/2 hours. Costs were over the moon. Some of which Iām sure is tied to the current insanity going on at the airports. And the final coup de grĆ¢ce is that if I want MY money returned DIRECTLY to me if things go sideways and cancellations occur, I must pay them additional hundreds of dollars for that to happen.
Travel used to be much more pleasant and simpler. It didnāt have to be this way.
Or if you missed your flight on say American you could walk over to United and get on one of their planes. Then monthly the two airlines would true up the exchanges. Good times. Well, except for the smoking sections in the back of the planes.
Yes! This was the best thing we lost.

Along with grandmothers in wheelchairs getting enhanced TSA attention while Muslims praying to Allah in the waiting area before boarding were studiously ignored.

Kennedy is drafting a new bill (ten days' work, supposedly) to frame voting non-citizens as a budgetary matter, inasmuch as they receive benefits to which only citizens are entitled.
