It can be an autoimmune disease in case of autoimmune thrombocytopenia ( ITP) when the immune system mistakenly attacks platelets. “Many vaccines such as influenza, varicella, measles, mumps, and rubella are known to induce ITP [2]. More recently, cases of thrombocytopenia following COVID-19 vaccination have been reported since the initiation of mass vaccinations. “ Safe and effective. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9252767/

True. I’d forgotten about that one. They didn’t mention which disease or how long she’d had it so it’s hard to know.

Yes, I got thrombocytopenia from the rubella jab when I was 13.

Thanks. I never felt ill but it meant six months of steroids and years of blood tests to check the platelet count . I think people who have never knowingly had problems after vaccines are extremely unaware that complications can occur. I refused the MMR for my twins and luckily we were living in Germany and the GP ordered in MM for them. In the UK you had to pay privately to get individual doses. I'm proud to say neither twin allowed the COVID jab to come anywhere near them. They are 31 and thoughtful people. My son said it wasn't safe and my daughter said the coercion was appalling and she wouldn't submit.
