I am always so encouraged by these posts and the support of coffee and Covid army!

Some may remember about 2 years ago I was in a battle with the board of nursing regarding attacks on me for not giving remdisivir. Thankfully that is now behind me and my functional practice has been up and running for the last year and is going really well. If anyone is looking for a functional/integrative practice feel free to reach out. https://www.liveoakintegrativehealth.com/

God bless you, Texas nurse. From the husband of an Oklahoma RN with 27 years of experience in our totally corrupted medical industry.

The COVID tyranny exposed the thoroughly ROTTEN underbelly of Big pHarma, Big Government collusion.

It was very lonely out there for the nurses with ethical objections. Mine was summarily fired for refusing to trans a patient - even though she cited "do no harm" and personal religious objections.

Very well done!

Oh, we're out here...I had a belly full of the BS years ago, left nursing and started a janitorial service. No 90 IQ bosses giving contradictory orders, no office politics, no stress, no freshly polished white shoes required and made literally twice my nursing hourly rate.

I thoroughly enjoyed placing anti-vaxx stickers in places such as inside cabinet doors in break rooms and circuit breaker boxes-places that the janitor would normally never touch hence was not suspected. The Forest Service office was hands down the most woke one. Biggest bunch of Karen's ever, both genders. Could tell just by looking at the employee's desks and trash. Bet just the hand sanitizer bill there ran into hundreds monthly during the Scamdemic, not to mention the plexiglass germ shields.

Some of the most entertaining reading there while taking a break from vacuuming included things like the specs for sandwiches provided by FS contractors. The thickness of the slices of bread in millimeters and the minimum allowable weight of the meat in grams was all spelled out. The contract price per gallon of the coffee provided to firefighters was $12.xx as I recall.

Always wondered if any of that anti-vaxx messaging occasionally stuck inside some of the freebie literature they offered in the foyer (maps, plant identification guides, etc) ever reached a functioning inquisitive brain cell...

My wife was a clinic RN for the largest gastrointestinal practice in Seattle when the scamdemic hit.

Her RN office mgr was very proud of herself for installing plexiglass shields at every RN's desk who directly communicated with patients.

The mgr - beaming with pride at her "effort to slow the spread" - asked my wife, "So whattya think?"

My wife replied "I think it's unscientific bullshit."

We lived the Seattle nightmare until '18. Moved close to Wenatchee and our son (19) had kidney surgery in '21. Meeting the Stanford Medical School graduate and urologist in Wenatchee for the first time, masks in place, I told him I could not understand him indicating the mask and how they don't stop airborne viruses. He promptly removed his mask and said something like, I hate wearing this and you can take yours off too if you want. We all relaxed more and prepared for a bigger discussion regarding the CT scan and immediate stint that needed to relieve our son's pain. We would have had empty medical offices and hospitals if most defied the mandate, so I'm very thankful for those who said, BS, and others who stuck it out although offering themselves as guinea pigs to the experimental (BS) injection now known to cause heart inflammation, death, irreversible autoimmune disease, heart conditions, death in pregnancy, birth defects, etc. Stand firm for medical freedom not happening at all in WA.

I love it!! Since 2015 (after pHarma went full-bore into eliminating exemptions for childhood vaccines) I have been carrying vaccine info pamphlets in my purse and handing them out in restaurants, airports, meetings, to home repairmen, and others and to solicitors who came to my door for real estate, politics, etc. In 2018, I spent 45 minutes on my front porch talking about vaccines to a Democrat who was running for Congress in my district. He later sent me an email, telling me that he told his partner that he'd become an anti-vaxxer. His partner replied, "Welcome to the group, but don't bring it up in your campaign!" I also put post-its from "Learn the Risk" in restaurant bathrooms and the baby sections of drugstores and supermarkets.

So the FS paid food contractors (for firefighters, etc) $12 per gallon? That's $0.75 an 8 oz serving, unless my very poor math skills betray me here. Also, the contract specs are spelled out in order to make sure every meal has enough calories to sustain the people out on the incident or fire line. If you get an unscrupulous contractor that tries to cut corners and skimp on the bread, meat & cheese that make up the sandwiches that go into thousands of sack lunches put out every day on a going campaign fire...they are cheating you, the taxpayer and the firefighters too. Everything is in the food vendor contracts for a reason. The Forest Service has a Food Unit Leader assigned to every fire camp to make sure the vendors are delivering safe, nutritious food to our hard-working FFs. Food Unit Leaders (FULs, ha ha, I know) work closely with Contracting Officer Representatives to make sure the contract terms are being met on a daily basis. Feeding the "troops" is big business. But the contractors also have lots of money tied up in their kitchen trailers, food prep trailers, and paying employees to crank out three meals a day for thousands of people.

This was around 20 years ago as I recall. Our local coffee shop, Sykes, was selling it for 0.10 a cup with free refills-a loss leader no doubt but it worked for them. Have no doubt that today's FS coffee contract price would be double to quadruple that $12.xx\gal figure from 2 decades ago.

Do you know how much money was given to hospitals! Curious if there are any private hospitals (who aren’t owned by a corporation) that didn’t make it a priority…

Expand full comment
Carrie's avatar

I don’t know the answer to that… but as far as hospitals go, not sure if there are any that are independent of government influence. Any hospital that does emergency care would have to take care of all patients, including no pay, Medicare and Medicaid recipients. Those being government programs (and those patients make up huge portions of hospital revenue), the hospitals are beholden to government (CDC) policies.

I don’t know where I read it but there are lawyers who are going thru all the autopsies of ‘covid’ people deaths to see if they died of covid or tested positive. Thank you, Texas nurse, my husband was given remdesivir and he later received a double lung transplant. The transplant team continues to use remdesivir and we had to fight it when he again had Covid. Fortunately, at the time, DeSantis still had monoclonal antibodies as options and that resolved the viral load on his body. As an MD, my husband wrote his own script for Ivermectin but the hospital where he served refused to give him Ivermectin.

Is Remdesivir routinely used in transplants? My 4 yo grandson will be getting a liver transplant after it was damaged by a rare childhood cancer. Hope we can avoid that.

Expand full comment
Lindsay's avatar

No, just some transplant teams will still use it to treat Covid because Paxlovid has a significant interaction with the most used anti-rejection med (tacrolimus). It should be easily refused. I think it’s nuts because it’s so hard on kidneys which are already under stress from anti-rejection meds. Transplant kids don’t actually have worse outcomes from Covid. Pediatric Transplant WILL aggressively push any and all vaccines though. My daughter nearly died waiting for a liver transplant because the hospital wouldn’t list her until after she caught up on childhood vaccines, even ones clearly contraindicated by cdc. They only let us out of Covid, flu, and hpv and they changed that policy soon after. They also continued to treat us horribly even after we jumped through all their hoops, to the point we had to change hospitals for lack of care. There are also generally zero resources and support for transplant kids compared to oncology kids, so that may be a big adjustment.

Jeannie Harshbarger's avatar

Thanks so much for your reply. We have experienced the same push for vaccines and have continued to reject. They say that they'll still push them at every opportunity, but they had no hospital policy so they couldn't force them. His parents also feel the hostility that you experienced. It’s like she’s the most incompetent corrupt person ever, it’s a comedy watching her trying to defend her corruption. It’s so obvious she knows and is trying to act innocent.

Also, her Doppelgänger is Izma from “The Emperor’s New Groove” which makes it even more hilarious….

It is so sad that our country has devolved into a morass of corruption and evil. This was not what our founding fathers had in mind. In fact, it was evil like this that our founders were trying to protect us from.

Looking at Trump’s track record, I’d have to agree with Jeff’s assessment of the DC takeover.

The metro police are vastly outnumbered, outranked and clueless.

They aren’t in the loop of future arrests or busts.

They can’t stop what is coming and there are no leaks from within the Trump administration so they are totally in the dark.

I’m guessing they’ve been watching that PD since the election and already know who to get rid of first.

If the takeover lasts long enough, there’ll be enough time to see which FBI agents are loyal to Obama by their actions in the next 30 days.

Rats always out themselves in spectacular fashion.

Euphemistically. I hate writing the word. According to the police who reported this in the news back in California, schifty was wearing a dress while he pummeled that kid to death.

He was also involved in The standard hotel shenanigans. Look that up. He is an evil evil man and he knows his time is up. That's why he always looks like somebody's goosing him. Oh watermelon head needs to be in Gitmo for the rest of his life, or the first guillotine.

Trump's federal takeover of DC law enforcement is just the latest example of bold leadership that has been absent from the presidency for decades. Most prominently exemplified by the lack of leadership from Obama and (the presidency known as) Biden, and the Congress, leaders have attempted to condition the citizenry to accept less (while they take more).

The Obama/Biden cabal introduced the profoundly bad effects of legislation like the fascist takeover of healthcare, also known as Obamacare, illegal immigration, and the inflationary spending and money printing policies endorsed by the DC/Wall Street conspiracy. Otherwise, elite leadership has given the average American nothing except declining prospects. The average American needs to be left alone, given liberty to thrive without government interference. Trump supports that more than any president we’ve seen in decades, if not centuries.

Trump has turned the established model on its head, without much help from Congress. Other than a handful of congressmen, and Trump, our leaders would have been content to maintain the status quo. While the first seven months of Trump have been fun, if these gains are not “locked in,” we’ll be trying to catch up to the EU again soon.

One (presumably) white man, blue collar, age 45, said that crime wasn’t bad enough “yet” to warrant a take over (yet?? How bad does it have to get??). Another woman, white, in her 70s, said it was political posturing and was protesting outside of the Capitol. Two young black men were thrilled: “It ain’t whites killing whites. It ain’t Spanish killing Spanish. It’s blacks killing blacks!” Another family, white, visiting from FL, was also thrilled. Their son works in DC and they want him safe. I’d say that’s a fair representation. And the majority of DC residents ARE black or are government employees, all who want to be safe.

So good on the President for taking over…and if there is also a massive arrest scheme of high level current and former officials (I’m looking at you, Hillary and Barack!) playing in the background, we’ll butter my biscuit and color me happy!

I find it Orwellian that people are openly cheering the government sending military into the streets. I don't care who the leader is, this is not something we should be happy about. You can use this a pretext (crime) to go into pretty much any major city and do the same thing. And wait until the next cabbage brain is back in the driver seat ready to do the same thing after it is normalized. Caution, people.

Government was already tasked with law enforcement in DC. It has long been illegal to murder and steal. Orwell's concern was a government monopoly on crime, not crime prevention. Trump is helping because local law enforcement in DC hasn't displayed either the will or ability to do it themselves.

From what I've read about DC, it was created as the only "federal enclave or territory" in the US and has always been the only real US federal jurisdiction.

So technically, it has always been "federalized" since its creation.

It was never, and still is not one of the States.

Some claim it is the only place that federal income taxes actually apply.

The local DC government is just for window dressing and management.

My town is riddled with homelessness and crime has been increasing for years. Not nearly as bad as DC, but not the idyllic town I moved to a decade ago. Our local police are hamstrung by idiotic state laws enacted by an idiotic state legislature. Parents cannot send their kids to play in our parks because they’ve been overrun by the homeless and there are needles everywhere. If the Feds took over for 30 days and cleaned up this mess, the people would cheer. One of our senators went to the Sheriff because the homeless in her area were defecting on her lawn and she wanted him to DO something. He explained to her that, because of the laws SHE and her colleagues had passed, there was nothing he could do without violating the rights of the homeless…

This is a problem unparalleled in the history of our country and needs a remedy that is unparalleled as well. To think that the police, defunded as they are in these ‘dilapidated cities’, are capable of handling this emergency on top of all of the crime that they couldn’t handle before these people came in here, is to defy common sense.

I agree with your statement, CC, that “People need to be responsible for their own safety”, and I believe that it should be a law in this country that every American citizen, be armed wherever they go

The illegal aliens of military age also will need to be dealt with and removed back to their countries of origin. This operation will take massive amounts of manpower (and womanpower) to do so. It is highly likely that the military will be needed to remove so many aliens.

Trump would not allow Israel to continue to do their evil "work", unless they had him controlled/compromised.

He could easily stop the slaughter, simply by halting all support of ANY kind to Israel. And refusing to block the condemnation and perhaps action of the UN... Without our arms shipments, military tech support including our involvement in the unprovoked attacks on Iran... and billions of our taxpayer dollars, Israel would be in deep shit, and their government would collapse.

I went to university for 2 1/2 years, working in construction to pay my way during that time. On one project me and another man were pushing wheelbarrels full of dirt, and that man was a college graduate, who couldn’t find a job other than laboring in construction. I liked the fellowship with the construction workers who were just honest, hard-working men that you could talk to with no problem. The students in university though (generally speaking, I ain’t talking about you) seemed to have this ‘better than thou’ attitude. I mean, they didn’t look down their noses at me. They thought I was one of them, but I wasn’t, and I didn’t wanna be one of them. And I sure didn’t want to work in an office with people like them, so I quit college and went to work outside in construction, which turned out to be an excellent and profitable decision.

… and I don’t want to spend one of my hard earned pennies on someone else’s college experience

Expand full comment
RunningLogic's avatar

Also I couldn’t agree more that the people who want to go to college should fund it themselves. I would like to see things go back to the way they used to be when even someone who was poor could work through the summer and have enough to pay for college. It’s gotten so out of hand with the cost. Completely ridiculous. It shouldn’t be up to the taxpayers to pay for all that.

Expand full comment
RunningLogic's avatar

Far too many people who go to university seem to think it makes them superior to others 😕 I can’t stand that kind of attitude. I have known plenty of intelligent and well informed people without a college degree and most are far more down to earth than the snobs with a diploma. I needed college for what I wanted to do, and was suited for it because of my personality but having a degree certainly doesn’t make me better than anyone else. I think that whole mindset has gotten us in trouble as a culture with too much reliance on “experts” and “credentials” but it looks like that’s changing now, which is a good thing imo.

Construction is an enjoyable and satisfying vocation, and the people are generally smart. However, it is physically taxing and may eventually wear out the body, and this may come even as the Federal Government is raising the retirement age for Social Security. You may be wise to have a plan for this.

Expand full comment
Jeremiah Davidson's avatar

Have you ever worked in construction Michael?

It can be physically taxing that’s true, kinda like working out at the gym. But maybe you already know that from experience. Heck, I know some carpenters and iron workers that were wore out by their late 70’s or mid 80’s, but they were still working and not complaining about their health.

Sitting in an office chair is an unhealthy way to make a living, and is very taxing on the body in ways you’re probably aware of as well.

You mentioned the federal government again, taking our money, saying that they’ll hold it for us until we retire and now making it harder for us to get it back. Even though it’s still our money. Sounds like a con game to me, run by conmen, and conmen are considered to be thieves.

…so I agree, it would be wise to have a plan for retirement

Good for you. AMF = Adios, Mother Effer, a strong cocktail made with four types of liquor, blue curaçao, sweet and sour mix, and topped with Sprite or 7UP. It's vibrant blue in color and is popular among college students. They drink them all the time in this university town. One night at the Basement here, my friend Natalie surprised me with a glass of said poison. I sipped it, then gave it back to her...when I was finished. Never again! Er, until tonight. Hahaha.

You’re right, Carrie. Loans need to be out of government and into the private sector. More freedom, less feds.

Expand full comment
Michael Srite's avatar

How would those private sector college loans work? It seems unlikely any bank or other private sector financial institution would be willing to loan thousands of dollars to youngsters just out of high school, with no collateral on offer. Wouldn't the Federal Government still need to be involved to guarantee the repayment?

Expand full comment
LamedVav disavows all vaxes.'s avatar

No, I don’t want my tax money/government to be given to kids just out of high school who will be taken advantage of by the colleges who raise the tuition because they know it came from the government. In a normal free market, Tuition will be much lower, and banks will stop putting loans on everyone who applies.

Before the student loans came into effect, tuition was drastically cheaper. Poor students who wanted college would usually work part time plus there were also lots of individual scholarships offered by various organizations and charities.

It was very much better before student loans.

Expand full comment
Michael Srite's avatar

Yes, I remember cheap tuition, but that was because state colleges were subsidized by state governments. As student loans came about the states cut back on support for public colleges and universities. In particular, California had free tuition until Ronald Reagan became governor and state funding was reduced. Scholarships are still available and many students have part-time jobs.

Like you, I also don't like the government school loans system. Now we have millions of people strapped with heavy repayments and many simply are unable to pay, but they are forbidden to declare bankruptcy as a way to discharge the debts, even as our own President Trump famously went bankrupt several times to escape his creditors. It doesn't seem fair.

Expand full comment
Jeremiah Davidson's avatar

Actually, Michael, you have presented the logical reason why getting the federal government out of the student loan business would be an excellent idea. Financial institutions would not be willing to loan the money to youngsters just out of high school. And with good reason. When I started university, I had no idea what career I wanted to pursue, or what classes I should take in this phantom pursuit.

When I started university, it was possible to pay for tuition by working during the summer as a laborer in construction, that is not possible today. The reason for that is the federal government’s involvement in backing loans has allowed the universities to jack up the tuition rate so high that the only way that you can afford to go there now is if you borrow money that you cannot afford to pay back. Crazy huh?

As to your question about the federal government needing to guarantee the repayment, I have to say

… it’s not the federal government’s money, it’s mine

You are correct, Jeremiah. Everything is always worse when government gets involved. Always.

Jeremiah, the way I look at it is it was or will have been your money. Once it's in the Treasury it's the Government's money, no longer yours. We don't own the roads our tax money paid for.

I completely agree the government school loan system is crazy. By the latest numbers I can find there are 9.7 million borrowers who are delinquent and the total of delinquent debt is around $250 Billion. This is despite wage garnishments and other collection actions. How bad must it get before some corrective action is taken?

Getting the federal government out of the student loan business, or out of the student anything business is an excellent idea, and it would force tuition rates to go down. I’m afraid that’s just too much common sense for university folks to grab ahold of Carrie. I’m just generally speaking here folks so don’t get all upset, you college grads, I’m probably not talking about you personally. I have to say, though, in my experience most college grads were booksmart, but streetstupid!

I mean, totally lacking in common sense and, sadly, that’s not an elective course in any university

… nor is it a required one

I absolutely agree with Shayne. Any research or developments that occur with governments funds, tax money, should not be patented! The results should be available for everyone to see and use! Think of what that would do for business and our economy. Perhaps, better yet, no federal funds should be used and colleges can self fund by selling the rights to use the patented information. How do you think Harvard accumulated those billions of dollars? They patented information developed via our taxes, then sold that information everywhere including our adversaries like China!

Why not SELL or Lease the patents that should be government property to those that can use them?

You may have noticed our massive and unpayable DEBT MONSTER, and out ongoing $2 TRILLION annual deficits? The tariff revenues are nice, but peanuts. And they may sound great... but also may cause a LOT of problems...

It is not like the US can't use the money! Homeless Vets? More ICE agents? Etc?

The “government” does not own these patents, we the taxpayers do! They should be open sourced to benefit us so they can’t be hidden away by any one.

Expand full comment
Abiding Dude's avatar

Actually, the government DOES own the patents that were developed under government funded efforts.

Open-sourcing them may be OK, but should not the taxpayers be repaid for their tax dollars that funded the programs that resulted in the patents? Open-sourcing would not repay the taxpayers... leasing out/licensing the patents would.

David Records's avatar

My point is that there should not be patents issued for taxpayer funded research, but the data released to all. That way multiple companies will use it and competition will ensue which will keep the cost reasonable and encourage improvement in the product. R&D is a major cost and if that can be reduced the product cost can be reduced. Do you trust the government to reduce our taxes because they are making income from patents?

If these universities violated the Bayh-Dole Act, then their patent rights should be taken away. It appears that Trump has given the universities a huge concession just for DEI data. I'd rather hit the universities where it hurts and free those patents for commercial or military applications outside of university profit/control instead of get DEI data. Bad negotiation move IMHO--definitely not "winning."
