Again, be careful judging a nation's entire population. I can assure you the true history of Germany, and WWII, is something as different as what they tried to tell us about the jabs and the Plandemic. The Good War it wasn't, and collectively evil , neither were the Germans. Never ever forget the victors write history.

Germans today do not talk of this war and the subject is verbotten in families of once prominent Nazi leaders. (I have friends who live it) We, as human beings, can learn a big lesson from that story of singing louder...And I understand your point.

I have long wished I could read a history of the Gallic wars written by Gauls. Not only is history written by the victors, the victors have to be literate.

Although your point as to histories is well-taken, particularly as to the post-WWII nonsense 'official histories' as represented by such a Shirer and Bullock ... surely you understand that there are differences between America today and Germany of the Third Reich. Differences in factors of control, reach of control ... especially given the Internet which still has a free sector of expression in spite of the rigour which was exerted to knock the whole thing down. Differences in international character, disposition of things, again as to communications and connectivity. The BRICS break-away, walk-away, for example, could not have happened in the 20th century context. And BRICS Plus is a game changer in and of itself.

And I don't think that we are necessarily making blanket judgments as to entires population en mass, but rather considering differences on balance which effect the movement of history.

I so agree. We are in a different age and unfortunately the last 100 years has led up to this moment where we have quite the dysfunctional and illiterate population. I could go on and on about how chasms exist between then and now. Music, art, books, spirituality etc. have all gone by the wayside. The quest to better ourselves and have an intellectual conversation around the dinner table with family is replaced by screens and a Big Mac in the car, while screaming at the kids to shut up. (*not me personally!)

Well Miss SadieJay! We are all in the same boat now, but our sails are bright and the sky is getting bluer. And the good thing, thanks to C19 Terrorism is that folks are believing The Narrative of fake manufacture anymore ... and not even getting plastered by the old now worn out and failing control labeling.

I study some Russian these days ... and I watch some Russian made films, some movies and some TV series. Well, the aren't perfect and nothing ever is. But when I go back to Tubi, for example, most of what there is Satanic crap. And some of it really pornographic.

So, just stay on the Bright Side of the Street! And thanks for writing.

Thank you daverkb. I always appreciate your words. Love that you are studying Russian. Hubs and I were thinking of learning Afrikaans. Yes, so much Satanic crap that is infused behind the scenes, especially in the shows. I do not have cable, just buy what I want to watch or find something random. I find myself now, looking in the scene backgrounds for Satanic symbols. And I find them. If I didn't know, it would go right over my head. I chose Life and tell fear to take a hike! Best to you!

Thanks! Coming from you that's like sparkling sequins, diamonds and rubies showering from the sky. Wait! I'll grab my hat and run outside real quick and see if I can catch some!

Oh! Afrikaans! My! That's a high choice! My father's side of the family used to have businesses in South Africa. Three coke bottling plants, export of cape hides for the tanneries in states, and once upon a time long ago we distributed Kimberly Clark products in South Africa.

My dad was actually born just outside of Cape Town and my grandmother had her wedding reception in the Mount Nelson, also in Cape Town.

Now seeing how my dad was born in South Africa I should have figured something out long ago excepting that I am a little retarded. Ya know! SLOW !!! Eventually I did ... and I eventually figured out at age 56 what having a dad born in Cape Town meant. Yes, it took a long time. But I finally figured out that being born in Cape Town meant that my dad was an African and that little fact meant I was. Guess what ??? AN AFRICAN AMERICAN !!! TA DA !!! And with lightening flashes and sun bursts coruscating in my room at this sudden discovery, I waltz myself downstairs. And with a little preambling fanfare I made the grand announcement to DeWife, to wit ... I was an African American and that we were an African American family! Imagine being married for all those years, and no realizing such a fact of significance!

That was the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me on here! Look for the battlements of rubies. Oooohhhh....I am so excited for you...my brother. Haha. My uncle had our DNA tested and we are 3% African American, but you are the real deal. We have friends in SA and Namibia and are going to learn a little language before we go back. We took a trip to Capetown in 2016 and it was the best trip we have ever taken. Absolutely loved it there. And we went to tea at the Mt. Nelson. So gorgeous and the trip was like a gift from God. Before we left we both had copies of The Covenant by James Michener and read it together so we would not be idiots when we got there. We have been to Kenya, Tanzania and Morocco before, but reading that book was a great thing to do. Because when we got there, it was nothing like we pictured and more beautiful than anything we could have imagined. I got to cross off a bucket list item of standing in 2 oceans at once, the Indian and Atlantic. Well, not literally standing, but getting sprayed by both at Cape Agulhas. Then onto Namibia where our friends live. And making new friends and seeing cave paintings that were 100 meters from their house in the middle of nowhere. It was as if God had laid out His masterpiece for us to appreciate. ALL of it. And we were there in August-September of 2016 and got to change some African minds about Trump, because all they saw was CNN. Our friends are all from German descent and are tri-lingual at the least, but their ancestors settled there 150 years ago. Fascinating. Best to you and DeWife.♥

Well ... Africa is so Boss Over the Top Boss. And nothing like the bush and sitting around a camp fire at night and looking up into the primordial black expanse of the heavens. And the stars do shine brighter in Africa ... and catchy enough a phrase to be a tune!

My mom and I took a trip to the south of Africa around 1981/1982. We stayed in the Mount Nelson for a few nights. My claim to fame is that I a ran a bath and the bath ran out the bathroom door much to my mom's total chagrin. The bathrooms at the Mount Nelson are colonial era huge and there was a quarter inch of water there which I got up with towels and a lot of towel wringing. Fortunately, the bathrooms are all tiled and no water damage was done. Never forgot that one! The food and service at the Mount Nelson was fantastic ... and the dinners were seven course. Oink! Oink!

Thanks for your accounts which were very interesting. And yes, foreigners were once upon a time heavily influenced by US/Western media. That is changed and changing.

I watched the below yesterday because I wanted to get more of an idea on how attitudes in the EU have been influenced by media. Also, the remarks expressed in the video regarding the US 'presence' and influence in the EU is interesting. And I remember that in the Trump presidency that I began to think how much in vassalage to the EU countries are to the United States. I think the mirror here is eventually going to shatter. My own opinion is that anyone getting tight with the Americans are utter fools.

I agree. And now? The resident rushes to the WH because Iran finally did it? So embarrassing on the world stage. I will have to check that link out tomorrow.

I was actually looking at British sites today thru an EU search engine. Saw food prices at a Tesco, which is a UK grocery store, and our prices are double theirs. Of course, the exchange rate is awesome for us. But their ingredient lists and prices are much better than here.

There are times when I just want to be ABH. Anywhere But Here. But I know that of all places, I am where I should be. And doing what I should be doing. Appreciate you and your wisdom and knowing what the Mt. Nelson is.✈🌊

Mount Nelson, one of my all time favorites and it was a lot the food. Also the Metropole in Moscow and the spaced needle in Vienna. The French Bistros and German restaurants and so on. But for me, it's all now images of a world gone past. I have had a good life as seem from the very top and from scraping along the Bottom Lands. Now I am in little Roanoke, Virginia. I have no idea as to why. But there is a reason somewhere. Looking back, it's all to seamless to have been a mere accident.

If you are a miner of information, there is a good bit of gold flakes to be panned from the video, but also some nuggets to be had for the plucking.

Sadie Jay! Your are the Lady! And you husband the Double Triple Lucky Man! And with my best to you all!

I feel that nostalgia for the times of crossing arms to enter another country and having to change out money. Metropole in Moscow? Now you are just trying to impress me. We have lived all over and been to many countries. But the internet has taken away the adventure of finding that hidden spot nobody knows about. Yes, tea at the Nelson was epic. Next time I will go hungrier than I did before. If there is a next time. It's all changed. Stolen. And I don't feel like traveling in a Mad Max world. We are part time in Florida but Idaho is home. I will tell Hubs how muy suerte he is. I don't think he appreciates me enough. Thank you!
