Like fascism, recession is always threatening the United States, but seems to land on Europe. The Tariff Connection. Wars, drugs, and definitions. And lots more.
Jeff I wanted to give you kudos for taking the time to make us all aware, keep us in the loop and building this sub stack. I’m not sure but you probably never thought you would be a writer/author.
I remember when I was a little kid being afraid that something was under my bed, a monster. I thought if I hung my leg over the side it may be attacked by the shark like creature that lived there at times.
My father every night would come up to check on the four of us, probably to make sure we weren’t horsing around. I’d ask him to check and make sure nothing was under there. After he looked and said everything was good my mind was at ease, I could sleep.
Years and years later I’ve come to realize there are monsters all around us. When I go to bed at night I toss and turn, I can’t seem to get my mind at ease so I can sleep, my father’s been gone now for 40 years. I’ll often pick up my phone and read. I’ll read and realize there are people out there fighting against these tyrannies, they’re doing their best to protect us.
I read great posts by authors fighting these hazards. I read comments great subscribers have written and realize there are so many fighting these threats. People are brilliant, they see these threats and write posts to bring them into the light. Many of us share our fears. Some write solutions, or ways to fight. Others write about threats we haven’t heard yet, warning us what’s out there. Some of us write uplifting posts trying to give each other hope. The written word has amazing power. Before you know it my mind is put at ease and I can sleep. It’s incredible when you realize writers can be hero’s too. J.Goodrich
Once, as a child, I yelled to my father, who was in the living room on the sofa, that a monster was in the closet. He yelled back "Tell it to kiss my ass."
Every night before dinner when we say our prayer of gratitude, I finish by asking God to look after all of the Light Warriors fighting the good fight, and to save as many as he can of the children and young men and women being tortured and murdered by satan's minions.
I usually only pray at dinner during a holiday meal, but need to make it a daily ritual. There is actual science behind praying over your water changes the structure. As for the light warriors, read Professor David Clements recent substack. Light warriors have been traveling the country praying at statehouse and other locations. Thank you for keeping them and the children and adults being attacked and those rescuing them in your prayers.
Thanks for the suggestion to see David Clements’ recent Substack post. Very evocative to compare the mafia to satans earthly realm, and yet direct our eyes and thoughts heavenward, from whence our help comes. We wait expectantly, hopeful and not impatient, for the King of Kings to return.
Still miss my Dad too, gone now 25 years. As with most men, the passing of the father is another moment in life where you realize, "it's mine now, time to step up."
JamesG, I appreciate your wonderful words (another good writer in Jeff's constellation!). I hope you know that you are one of those stepping up!
My father just passed a month ago. I am now, especially over the last few years, the one to step up and do the man’s job as my brother can’t, due to his wife’s horrible illness. I never realized to what extent the hell he put up with dealing with my mother. Well, yes I did, but he handled it pretty well. She’s 91, lives at home, is five hours away and fights me about everything any anything and is negative beyond the pale.
This stepping up stuff is hard, I never once thought I’d have to take up the reins, especially at my age. Ignorance is bliss I guess.
I went through something similar. Try your best to either make amends with your mother or at least see if you can find some common ground that will allow the two of you some relief. To my regret, I did not do that and now must face an irreparable regret on my way to 91. At ninety-one your mother hasn't much longer to learn how to repair fences, but you still do. Easy for me to say, but I do know what the consequences are for not trying hard enough...
I lost my mother four months ago. Whether you get along or not, it’s going to leave a hole in your heart. Make amends the best you can and tell her that you love her.
I can’t bring myself to like your post. That is so very tough….. May God hold you in His loving arms and give you the peace and comfort you need to get through this deep valley. He loves you. Prayers.
Every mountain is surrounded by valleys. Every valley is surrounded by a mountain. When you are in the valley, be patient and climb your way out. For those now at the peak of the mountain, be cautious! A valley awaits.
An ancient philosopher once said “This too shall pass.” It always does. Hang in there and know that many are praying for you.
I’m so sorry for your losses, JBell. May their memories sustain you. I lost my Mom in April and I miss her daily. I try to do things she loved/treasured to remember her.
in his 90's with my Mom in the nursing home in a mid-Illinois hometown and 8 hrs away from us . . . my Dad got into the same really negative attitude, refused to allow a lady to come in and provide one on one assistance to my Mom-- a total PITA.
I was elected as the brother to "handle" him though 2 brothers were closer. I did not do the best job and had to hand it off to the brother FARTHEST away-- Colorado.
Anyway, I have always regretted doing so and that I should have stuck with it even though in the middle of building a new home. I should have made some trips down there and been MUCH more patient but my anger at him preventing my Mom from getting daily care forced placing her in the damn nursing home-- a place she always said she hated and did not want to be.
Maybe my story of angst can inspire you to be patient and better than I did. So, Good luck Karen.
I'm sorry that happened pretty-red. We decided that we're going for Christmas, like it or not, and actually she was nice on the phone today. I think some of her problems are advancing dementia, they get anxious and defensive, and her nightly alcohol use. I am vowing to do the best I can and to never berate myself later. A tough call, I know. I hope you can give yourself grace for doing what you felt was the best move. There's no way you could have known if it was the right thing to do, or not. When I have regrets I try to remember the Snickers tattoo commercial... No Regerts. It makes me laugh.
Karen, I've observed that the majority of people age gracefully and find joy in the simple things in life. But some become bitter, angry and destructive to their loved ones. Why is this so? I don't know, but I send you affection and understanding during your hardship.
If you take a 50,000 foot view, you realize all of the gravest dangers in our world are not from the natural world. It’s not bears, wolves, or killer bees - it’s dangerous people. Often bureaucrats. These are the monsters under our beds…
And then, you say a prayer and realize that God can handle them too…
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
I hate to tell you this, but there was and is always something all around you! If you were raised in a church going environment, satan wants/wanted your soul and he’ll do whatever it takes to make a fearful child succumb to those fears! Lay your rest in the name of Jesus! I learned this very early in life. Just His name casts out all fears!
I hope the real reason for this Christmas season rings true for you, brother!
JG, really appreciate your well formed thoughts today and in previous posts. You are/were blessed with a wonderful father doing the Dad thing to give you comfort, rest and confidence by example. Surely goodness and mercy shall be with you and yours for eternity. My parents have been waiting for me to join them in heaven for 41 years. I am looking forward to the great celebration we will have when we are all together again.
JG thank you for such an honest, heartfelt post. You’re in good company here. It’s not fun to acknowledge that we’ve been born into a world at war, both physical and more so, spiritual… the perpetual battle between good and evil we see manifested in hatred, demonic influence and periodic atrocities. It unsettles us because that’s not what we were created for. But we take comfort in knowing there will be an end to it one day, and a restoration of all things.
A quick Bible search for “Be not afraid” yields dozens of verses in the New Testament alone; clearly Jesus is trying to tell us something. The Psalms too, especially 23 and 91. When I have middle-of-the-night anxiousness, I’ll pray and then recite Psalm 23 over and over until I drift off again. It’s such a comfort to know the Good Shepherd is keeping watch over His flock by night.
I remembered a time when I thought monkeys were under the back seat of the VW Beetle we had and was so afraid they would grab my dangling feet. I consoled myself that there actually wasn't any room for them under that seat.
I remember when my brother and I both fit in the space behind the back seat in our VW Beetle. That didn’t last long, as we grew to 6’5” and 6’0”, respectively. The Beetle was also my college car and I created a system to pack all my stuff for college dorm life, including stereo receiver, tape deck, turntable and speakers, into every square inch of that car.
In 1966, we got a washing machine into ours, to take home over 400 miles away to replace the wringer washer that came with the house we bought in upstate NY but the front seats wouldn't straighten up and we had to pass up the free gift!
I hated how loud those early Beetles were, luckily never thought about monkeys under the seat. (We didn’t own one, but a family friend had one and we’d go for joy rides… not so joyous! 🤣).
@JGoodrich -Thanks for helping me shake the funk I’ve been in lately about the stupidity and corruption of the human race. There are noteworthy heroes to focus on.
I love this J. I am not a worrier by nature but many times I can’t turn my mind off at night. I listen to sermons and usually in 10 minutes I’m out!! 👍🏻
I'm not so sure if preachers would be appreciative of your insomnia strategy, Lisa ;-)
Occasionally when a late nap or pressing topic keeps me awake when I'm in bed I converse with Jesus, much to the same effect as you experience. I trust He understands!
James, several months after the passing of our mother (Dad died in 1983 -I was 18), I horrified my older brother, when I mentioned to him that WE were now the "family elders". LOL!! He was struck dumb by the thought and the terror that passed over his face when he realized he was supposed to come up with the kind of profound and thoughtful things our parents and grandparents said. I 'hope' he is compiling his wisdom and comments, but he has always been more than a little sarcastic, so I have my doubts - and video button ready on the phone.
The terrors are the monsters of child mortality for me now. I take solace in the fact that my own deceased parents lived this life without that and saw us all start families and create progeny.
Do not give into the terror that is brought to you by media. It is their pro-forma to instigate purchases through the human need for control. You are in control and the context brought to you by the Lord and the window of everlasting life is what they fear most.
unless you have a dead animal in your walls that cant be found. You are not in control of that. FUDGE!
Big Pharma and the drug cartels are both international gangsters, deeply tied to many global governments, engaged in all manner of business and corruption. Trump is right.
As to Germany and their business costs. It is curious that they blame Trump, when their own policy, which all sane people warned them about, is the number one reason they cannot compete. That policy is nut zero and renewable energy skyrocketing the cost of energy, the life-blood of every economy.
I read the article. I think it is true. We are invited to do our own personal emotional hygiene so we can think and see what is true and what is not. Divisiveness is our enemy. Thank you for sharing. It is thought provoking.
I just heard someone else mention Pentatonix (sp?) recently … wow! I had goosebumps listening to them! I’ll have to look up more of their work. I’m very judgy/selective about Christmas music, but that was beautiful. I bet the do a great Oh Holy Night.
If you like Little Drummer Boy this one is my favorite version. Incredible cinematography. A pair of brothers and their band out of Australia. Five minutes you won’t regret. They also do an amazing “O Come, O Come Emanuel “.
OMG, a little background about me. I cannot hear a patriotic song or a Christmas song without crying. I can’t control it, it just happens. Little Drummer Boy is my second favorite Christmas song. I loved this! Warned my husband I was going to cry and bit my lip to keep the tears on low flow and thoroughly enjoyed the video. Thank you for sharing.
I do as well. I guess that’s why I have the five album set of Readers Digest classic Christmas music in Vinyl, cassettes and CDs along with downloaded onto my phone 🤷🏻♀️.
“But cursed be the deceiver, which hath in his flock a male, and voweth, and sacrificeth unto the Lord a corrupt thing: for I am a great King, saith the LORD of hosts, and my name is dreadful among the heathen.”
Until and unless Congress gets off their lazy butts to actually HELP the President, we're mired in neutral, the EOs notwithstanding. President cannot do all of this by himself. What's the point of owning both houses, then sitting around twiddling thumbs?
We are in the situation because Congress & Senate have betrayed their oaths for fifty years. I view the current administration as more third party than "Republican".
DJT has been left with a tough situation and he wants to turn it around and many are against this.
I agree, but how does that happen? The whole 2017 Republican scenario is being played out again. Talk nice, say nothing, do nothing, deflect, and continue the status quo.
Isn't that the truth?!! As I have said before, the majority of them are as useless as teets on a boar hog! And to think, we are paying their salaries and allowing them to be useless!!!!
Unfortunately I've got a feeling the Dems will get control of congress and look out. They'll be going after the president and every one of his polices. Even if the polices are good for the USA. Hope I'm wrong.
The dirtbag Dems all vote in lockstep. The GOP does not.
Several fine GOP members like MTG and Massie follow their conscience, and vote it. They and others also despise the massive, corrupt influence that Israel has obtained, via a huge AIPAC bribery campaign, over congress and especially, over Trump.
Many do not like the support of the MIC war-for-profit machine or the tariff/sanction wars.
Sometimes, obstruction and push-back are necessary.
This NYT article is meant to turn all struggling countries against Trump. Germany has cut it's own throat by stupidly shutting down it's own nuke plants, moving towards green energy, becoming a slave to Russian natural gas (which was bombed, and it's now relying on French nuclear power and US natural gas).
By making energy the most expensive on the planet, it's shuttered it's own industrial base (fertilizer, processing ore, making metal and industrial processes like stamping car parts, etc) all take HUGE amounts of electricity.
The tariffs were to equalize trade with the US and to incentivize companies that went overseas in the past for lower manufacturing costs to come back to the US.
Yes, I would LIKE to know why congress isn't getting off their butts to help Trump's reforms go further. But look, both sides hate trump because he's turned off their money supply via kickbacks from war, lobbyist money, pharmaceutical money, etc. They WANT him out of there, because they DO NOT have America's interests at heart. They have their own.
Perhaps a cleansing is needed in Congress to bring in GOOD people who have this country first (behind God).
I like this portion from Seth Keshel's recent substack:
One of my favorite quips, whenever we get stabbed in the back by Republicans from places like Utah or Indiana, is to say, “When I die, I want six professional Republicans to carry my casket; that way, they can let me down one last time.”
And of course the old and oft-used quote seen on hats and shirts, "When I die, don't let me vote democrat."
That was exactly my thought when I heard about the killing of Ella Cook. The left does not have truth so they can never win a real debate so violence is always their de facto.
Surprised they did not call in social workers instead of cops and FBI as afterall, that is what libs want since they despise law enforcement and Trumps FBI. Brown is uber liberal and I have no doubt they are elated the guy has not been caught. They put on a great show of false caring don't they. If he is caught, he will get a slap on the wrist, especially if an illegal. They support criminality and all illegals and do not care about any crimes commited as proven by how they do not hold them accountable, cashless bail, ridiculously mild sentences. More like this will happen but hopefully will be confined to liberal states since they created this mess.
He claims the pandemic was stopped by them and they are being used to cure cancer. He also claims they were made in months compared to the years it would have taken biden.
since the program started under him and had the first shots available in late 2020, yes.
This substack is written by a guy who believes every word out of Trump's mouth. When it comes to this he can't be trusted?
He's the one making the bold claim and I beleive him partially. No, I don't think the shots are stopping cancer but I do believe Trump was responsible for their creation under operation warp speed. It was funded with 10b from the CARES act which was signed by Trump. On may 15th, 2020, Trump announced Operation warp speed at the white house.
If you think the program started under him, and not in some biolab likely years or decades before the plandemic was unleashed (definitely before Event 201), then I have nothing more to say to you about this topic.
Trump has a knack for not giving his adversaries, and ours, what they want in the way of narrative ammunition. Forcing them to just make stuff up.
Enemies of this country, and Trump specifically, listen to every word said, therefore not everything should be telegraphed in a press conference or on Truth Social. That would be stupidity.
Nobody who has paid any attention at all to President Trump believes every word that comes out of his mouth, including the guy who writes this substack.
But that's just me saying this, and unlike you, I could be wrong.
John was almost five years old that Christmas. Wasn’t it only natural that he was filled with awe and curiosity on that special night?
He did not have an important part in the school Christmas pageant, as he was just one of many in the kindergarten class. While the children gathered at school for the program, the teachers were busy with preparations and the costumes of those chosen to be Mary and Joseph and the angels, shepherds, and wisemen. No one noticed a little boy go out the door into the hall.
But John had heard the baby! And there was to be a baby—he knew that.
By the sound, he knew down the dimlit hall was the way he had to go, but he wondered why God didn’t send the star, and then he remembered: The star wasn’t for him. It was really for the shepherds and the wisemen, and he wasn’t anybody important like that. He’d have to be very brave and go alone to find the baby. He turned the corner cautiously.
At the far end of the hall, he saw a light from a doorway. Then he heard the baby’s cry more clearly. He knew where to go.
Meanwhile inside the door, Mary Meadowcroft knelt beside the chair her husband Joe, a teacher, had brought to school for his sixth-grade reading corner. On it, she put their child Jeffrey down to rest.
He was normally a contented and easy going baby. Had she known he would cry like this, she would have stayed at home with him rather than coming with her husband to see the pageant.
She thought that the sudden presence of so many excited children must have frightened Jeffrey, for be began crying almost immediately upon arrival, and would not be stilled. At least the show would not be long, so Mary decided to wait here in Joe’s classroom with her son, so his crying would not disturb anyone.
Suddenly, she was startled to hear a little voice questioning, “Are you Mary?”
“Why, yes, I am,” she answered with amazement. “Do I know you?”
“I came to see your Baby,” said John. “I didn’t know He ever cried like that,” he added softly.
“Jeffrey is just frightened to be in a strange place.”
“Hi,” John said softly as he knelt down beside the baby. “I’m John. I’m not a wiseman or anything, but they’re busy couldn’t come.”
The baby stopped crying to turn and look at John. Mary remained perfectly still, her mouth drawn into an astonished “Oh!”
“I forgot to bring something, little Jeffrey Jesus.”
The baby was smiling now. John put out a tentative finger to touch him and said in whispered adoration, “I really do love you, Jeffrey Jesus.”
Suddenly John smiled. “I know what I can give you! I’ll sing you a song that we’ve been practicing! I know all the words!”
By now John’s parents had come searching for him. They were stopped in the doorway by the sight of Mary and the baby listening to John’s gift of song.
"Bless all the dear children ● In your tender care ● And take us to heaven ● To live with you there."
The baby beamed at the singing child while the three adults, their hearts full of wonder, saw a glimpse of an angel that night.
as far as Germany refusing to admit a recession, we just dealt with 4 years of the Weekend at Brandon's Autopen regime also refusing to admit recession, going so far as to redefine the term the same way they redefined "vaccine" to remove the word immunity and include their gene therapy mod mRNA shots
I never owned a VW but one of my Aunts had a brightly colored VW Beetle which she loved and I liked the novelty of it when I was a kid. My Dad got a new Studebaker one year, which we traveled in that summer to visit another Aunt and Uncle and cousins in Oregon. I'd love to be able to buy a new car here right now, but could only do that if silver went to 2K an ounce, lol.
Green energy has more to do with the plant closure than tariffs as that has resulted in a wholesale de industrializing of Germany tanking their economy. The WSJ reports that electricity is now considered to be a luxury in Germany and not affordable by many Germans who now burn firewood for heat and cooking
Yes, and to throw more shade on this US tariff theory: it’s been widely reported that it’s the Chinese cars that are undermining Europe’s cheap car industry. VW sales into the United States have been declining for 40 years!
yep, but really, VW does not have a great car design in general.
I believe they own Porsche, which is great but not one of the less expensive cars for Joe Blo to own. . .
Also, just 4 or 5 yrs ago VW got hit by the US EPA because they lied on their CAFE standards and got a big fine. . . Likely, lots of Americans saw that and considered buying US made instead? Who knows.
Had an ’88 red 911 convertible Porsche with flared fenders & whale tail and previous owner had put a red phone in it. Hubby bought it for me used in ’89 as my pay (no salary) for working in our startup business. Just reminded me…. I absolutely loved driving that car. Drove it 3 miles back & forth to work every day. My high heels tore the carpet, put all my Christmas packages in the back seat poking into the back window, replaced the rag top and clutch once in ten years I drove it and a rocker bar after I drove over a parking berm. (Not very respectful, I know.) Parked it everywhere in crowded parking lots and never ever had a scratch. Cried when hubby decided it was time to sell it because he was a big guy and didn’t like squeezing into it. 30,000 miles on it when I sold it. No car I’ve owned since was as much fun to drive.
-- 280ZX, used $2800, blue then white: fixed up and repainted it, sold it and bought a
-- 300ZX, used $12,000 red, only 240HP, added sports equipment, headers, etc. LOTS of fun, sold it to a teenager who had no experience driving a manual and in 15 min around my neighborhood taught him to drive a stick; he drove it away.
-- 300ZX twin turbo red with significant aftermarket HP upgrades, 450 HP and leaking steering fluid when I flew down and bought in NC for $10K, drove it home. On the drive home I raced a big block Camaro from a standing stop in middle of cornfields in Illinois-- won.
Now that's the truth... Green energy and the Ukraine war. Trump's tariffs are unimportant compared to the effects of the EU policies that are literally destroying Western Europe.
My dad bought a new VW van (Kombi) in '71. I learned to drive in that van. I took it to weekend rock concerts, packed with my friends. I bought one in California when I first arrived here in '82 with my best friend. That van took us all around the US. Best vehicle I've ever driven.
During the Jimmy Carter era, (55 MPH Interstate speed limit) I got pulled over by FHP trooper outside Tallahassee for doing 62 in my 73’ VW van. I explained that I needed to let it get all the momentum it could going downhill in order to make the next climb. He didn’t give appearance of accepting that rationale, but he didn’t ticket me either.
I had a couple of friends who had those things in the late 60's -early 70's. As long as they were operated in places where the weather was warm most of the time, they were pretty reliable. But in areas with severe winter weather they had a tendency to be very UNreliable. You might get where you were going, but you generally had to find a different mode of transport to return home.
My dad has an old bug (can’t remember the year, but he’ll probably see this and respond 😉) that he has restored over the years. I wonder what this development will do for the value of collectors VWs.
You bring up an interesting point-car/suv affordability. I haven't looked into recent sales data but I have been reading about rising car loan amounts and defaults. From YouTube, it sounds like automotive armageddon out there. I asked Grok 3 times to give me specific data on new and used cars in the US from 2023 to present and it refused. Per our conversation about statistics yesterday, it might be worth looking a little deeper on those auto numbers Jeff has. Inquiring minds...
part of Oregon did your family live? I am a native Oregon transplanted in northern Alabama…loving life in the Southland but still pine away (see what I did there?) for Central Oregon.
The line in your last paragraph "twelve Democrat lawsuits, three injunctions, two trips to the Supreme Court, and a spree of late-night comedians making Iraq jokes." could be set to music with the Twelve Days of Christmas. ;)
The coming revolution in cancer treatment using antiparasitics like fenbendazole and ivermectin will occur under Trump’s watch. For all intents and purposes cancer will be considered “cured” in most instances. Expect the Left to take the position “But what about the people and infrastructure that depends on cancer treatment revenue?” This absurd position will be taken, again as clear evidence of an organic brain condition presently referred to as Trump Derangement Syndrome.
Over a half million people die With cancer every year in the US. More people than that work in the cancer industry than that, so it is not just Big Pharma reaping many billions of dollars in the cancer treatment scam.
Cancer was considered CURED in 1934 after Dr. Milbank Johnson's clinical trial at UC Cali. They took 16 terminal Cancer victims and CURED ALL of them. Anyone, other than medical doctors, can purchase their own equipment and do the same thing. harmonicresearch.org
Most people with Cancer will die because they don't know what's available at 1/10 the cost of chemo, radiation and surgery.
I was reading through your article on Germany waiting to hear the real cause of their decline . They have shut down all their nuclear reactors and are trying to depend on solar and wind electricity! The cost of power there has soared so high that industry cannot operate . The current government in Germany is hell bent on deindustrialization ! This is the real cause which I did not find in your article .
I notice Jeff didn't mention the tariff the EU has imposed on Germany. The very high cost of energy is a bigger tariff on German/European industries than all of Trump's tariffs; these cost are directly related to EU sanctions. To live by the sanction is to die by the sanction.
The myth of the intelligent Europeans has been exposed, it is a false myth!
The EU globalist bureaucrats destroying all of their member countries know exactly what they are doing. Just like Starmer imposing a 20 % tax on all farmland, They are replaying their favorite playbook. Destroy the value of an asset, force the owners to sell, then have Blackrock and other cabal members buy up the assets for a small fraction of their worth.
So was the bombing of NORDSTREAM by the cabbage administration a random act, or the first step of a multipronged attack on the EU which was followed by Trump's actual and "net" tariffs - due to the higher cost of imported energy from the USA - and the easily forecast Power of Siberia 2 pipline deal that may preclude European access to abundant and "cheap" Russian natural gas in the future?
I was interested in the real reasons for Germany’s decline. I asked GROk and this is what I received as an answer. Never trust AI , but it is a start . Key Reasons for the Decline
Several interconnected factors explain this weakness:
1. High Energy Costs: The 2022 energy crisis, triggered by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the cutoff of cheap Russian gas, hit Germany’s energy-intensive industries (e.g., chemicals, metals) hardest. Prices remain elevated compared to competitors like the US, reducing competitiveness even as the initial spike eased.
2. Weak Global Demand and Falling Exports: New orders have dropped sharply, with exports declining steeply in 2025 due to slower demand from key markets like China, Asia, Europe, and North America. Trade fragmentation and a post-COVID shift away from goods have compounded this.
3. Intensified Competition from China: Chinese subsidies and export-focused growth in sectors like electric vehicles, machinery, and clean tech directly undercut German producers. Germany, heavily reliant on exports in these areas (especially automotive), has lost market share.
4. Automotive Sector Struggles: The shift to electric vehicles, competition from Chinese EV makers, and temporary factors like frontloaded demand drying up ahead of potential US tariffs have led to production slumps (e.g., an 18.5% drop in auto output in some months).
5. Structural Challenges: High labor costs, bureaucracy, skilled labor shortages due to an aging population, slow digital adoption, and political uncertainty (e.g., government changes) have deterred investment. Employment in manufacturing continues to decline through redundancies and non-renewals.
it mentioned obliquely the government dysregulation of the energy industry but no details on how they destroyed existing functional infrastructure as promotion for the New Green Energy Scams they're shoving down everyone's throats.
it also failed to mention the despotic control of the government entirely banning a party based on fraudulent hate speech and terrorism claims by their partisan "intelligence" branch, clearly the name is an oxymoron like the US or EU "intelligence" agencies.
didn't mention the government taking out a Rothschild-bank loan for half a trillion without the resources to pay it back.
It's pretty hilarious that they're actually telling us that tariffs are the reason for VW's troubles, even though they've been struggling with costs and revenues for a lot longer than this year.
But they've got to find someone/thing to blame it on. To do otherwise might drive some self-reflection or to actually question Germany's abysmal government.
The blame cult is very destructive. Blame your parents, blame your spouse , blame your boss, blame someone because it can’t be your fault. So goes personal responsibility out the window and follows that our institutions must blame and avoid responsibility as well.
Great list, Loretta Thomas. And I agree with other commenters here about all the other things German elites have done to fire machine guns into their feet.
I asked ChatGPT something similar. I'll skip the details (I had it list total costs to Germany's economy due to all their bad energy decisions, for every year since 2000)...
bottom line: the cost since 2000 of no nuclear, and "investing" in renewables is estimated to be between $1.2 trillion (Trillion!) to $2 trillion. Germany's GDP is about $4 trillion.
The extra energy costs over the last 5 years (for those in Portland, that means since 2020), is about $400B. The total spending by the German Federal Government is $500B per year. So another way to look at the approximately $80B a year that these foolish decisions have cost is as a percent of total Fed Govt spending, which is 16%.
The "cutoff" of Russian gas Grok says. Who ''cut off'' that gas? That would be Germany, first, and then the US blowing up the pipelines to make sure Germany didn't get cold feet about the sanctions.
IMO, Scumbag globalist Merkel, an East German commie... had a lot to do with Germany's collapse.
Further, Germany will never be great again until they start to celebrate their greatest leader, and throw off the yoke of the BIG Zionist LIES of the "holocaust"... expel all the mud people immigrants and knock off the demonization of Russia.
I read only two sentences and laughing my head off. Sorry, so t mean to laugh at the illness your kids are suffering but how you write about it is too funny! 😂
Well, please feel free to cough your lungs up onto your table and get no significant relief. Chronic cough is very bad for your lungs and vessels but hey, you know best! Cheers:}
I had this before Thanksgiving. When the wheezing got bad and my ribs hurt all the way around, I figured it was a form of Covid and I had gone into pneumonia as so many did with that. Doxycycline is available from many places on line and a good antibiotic for the lungs. That’s what started my recovery. (But the cough was the worst I had ever experienced…. )
It's not funny when you're sick. I've mentioned several times that NO ONE HAS TO BE SICK for more than 10 minutes when you use Energy Density Frequency Medicine. Don't bother to ask GOOGLE to search for it because it's not advertised because big phHARMA won't allow the competition.
J.Goodrich
Hope your kids get better, have a productive day.
Once, as a child, I yelled to my father, who was in the living room on the sofa, that a monster was in the closet. He yelled back "Tell it to kiss my ass."
Let me guess… was this the 70s? Because that’s peak 70s parenting energy.
😄 Totally!
🤣
Hahaha.
😂😂😂
That sounds like something my father would have said! 😂
LOL!
😂😂😂
I will second that one.
I lost my Dad in May, and in almost exactly 6 months, I lost my Mom (December). My grief is still building, and has not yet hit it's crescendo.
I’m so sorry. Grief is tough to get thru. And I don’t think you ever get over the loss.
I’m so sorry for your losses, JBell. May their memories sustain you. I lost my Mom in April and I miss her daily. I try to do things she loved/treasured to remember her.
Condolences JBell🙏
I don't know if you ever get used to the loss or the grief.
But you do get used to having a hole in your heart.
Lost my Dad 20 years ago, lost my mom 14 years ago.
I hesitated to “like” your very sad comment, but pressed the button in genuine sympathy for your heartbreaking losses.
Im so sorry. I liked your post as a measure of comfort, not because I like the sadness you have been through. Hugs
Oh JBell, I am so sorry. I can't imagine your pain. 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
Thank you Noflo ❤️
I am trying, rearranging schedules as we speak so my husband and I can go for Christmas. My husband is still working so it’s tough, but we’ll make it!
Now, pray that the passes and Western Washington survives these coming storms. We live on the dry side of Oregon
Yes, and thank you, I’m listening to your advice. ❤️ I hope you find peace, I’m sure you did what you could even if you don’t think so.
We live in Oregon as well
I'm fed up too, but no plans to leave yet!
yep, me too J.
Good advice.
Sorry about your father!! Mine died when I was just 20. I still think I was the luckiest kid in the neighborhood!
Now that’s gratitude ❤️🙏🏻
in his 90's with my Mom in the nursing home in a mid-Illinois hometown and 8 hrs away from us . . . my Dad got into the same really negative attitude, refused to allow a lady to come in and provide one on one assistance to my Mom-- a total PITA.
I do promise to be more patient. Thank you. Karen
Karen, I've observed that the majority of people age gracefully and find joy in the simple things in life. But some become bitter, angry and destructive to their loved ones. Why is this so? I don't know, but I send you affection and understanding during your hardship.
Thank you for your affection and understanding. ❤️ The C&C family is amazing.
I will second that one.
I also find Jeff's posts not only newsworthy and informational, but the great writing and humor always starts my day off to a positive start.
If you take a 50,000 foot view, you realize all of the gravest dangers in our world are not from the natural world. It’s not bears, wolves, or killer bees - it’s dangerous people. Often bureaucrats. These are the monsters under our beds…
And then, you say a prayer and realize that God can handle them too…
Florida, you’re right, that’s why the Siberian tiger is an endangered species, but the human is NOT!
Thank you, James. Now I know what I've been feeling. I'm sorry about your dad.
Thoughtful words.
Thanks for this story of love.
I remembered a time when I thought monkeys were under the back seat of the VW Beetle we had and was so afraid they would grab my dangling feet. I consoled myself that there actually wasn't any room for them under that seat.
Thanks for the memories.
Do you still have the tape deck?!
I do, but it no longer works. . . Ha!
An excellent example of a child's triumph of reason over superstition.
Well, there is of course "Trunk Monkey".
Best automotive upgrade ever!
What are the chances that it was a Dad that thought that one up!? :)
Very classic advertisement campaign, GregWA!
For those not from the PNW or have never heard of 'Trunk Monkey' here you go.
Merry Christmas! https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLoxADsZ9YforxtjWODy3Kz_8JjLH-Nxp7
Love this post, James.
I love this J. I am not a worrier by nature but many times I can’t turn my mind off at night. I listen to sermons and usually in 10 minutes I’m out!! 👍🏻
Same here. Charles Stanley has a 24/7 podcast of sermons. It’s wonderful.
FUDGE!
✝️✝️✝️
I shall remember the deeds of the LORD;
Surely I will remember Your wonders of old.
I will meditate on all Your work
And muse on Your deeds.
Your way, O God, is holy;
What god is great like our God?
— Psalm 77:11-13 NAS95
✝️✝️✝️
Keep a laser focus on those deeds, because:
"All the cunning of the devil is exercised in trying to tear us away from the Word." –Martin Luther
Yes, to remember His deeds, we have to know what they are.
3 percent GDP from Pharma profits. Real terrorism.
Seems that other countries are moving in on our drug trade.
Cognitive Warfare is Manipulating Your Thoughts and Destroying our Democracy https://share.google/pYTlSA4KmJTAxuxuX
There are many Transnational gangsters these days.
How much $$$ is enough?
I read the article. I think it is true. We are invited to do our own personal emotional hygiene so we can think and see what is true and what is not. Divisiveness is our enemy. Thank you for sharing. It is thought provoking.
While divisiveness is our enemy, at the same time...so as iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.

Beautiful Christmas music for your day......
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJ_MGWio-vc
I see your Pentatonix LDB and raise you Kenny Rogers:
https://youtu.be/UchE1DLVeKc?list=RDUchE1DLVeKc
🥳
I just heard someone else mention Pentatonix (sp?) recently … wow! I had goosebumps listening to them! I’ll have to look up more of their work. I’m very judgy/selective about Christmas music, but that was beautiful. I bet the do a great Oh Holy Night.
If this is your first introduction to Pentatonix you are in for a treat. They’re fabulous.
I also highly recommend "Straight No Chaser"!
Wasn’t it yesterday here in the comments, or in Jenna’s comment section?
yep. . . I watched it then, too.
I love the song ‘That’s Christmas to me’ I have two of their Christmas albums and that’s by far one of the best songs they do
If you like Little Drummer Boy this one is my favorite version. Incredible cinematography. A pair of brothers and their band out of Australia. Five minutes you won’t regret. They also do an amazing “O Come, O Come Emanuel “.
https://youtu.be/NzEX3QMuVPM?si=FcR6VvGAKSsJWOiU
OMG, a little background about me. I cannot hear a patriotic song or a Christmas song without crying. I can’t control it, it just happens. Little Drummer Boy is my second favorite Christmas song. I loved this! Warned my husband I was going to cry and bit my lip to keep the tears on low flow and thoroughly enjoyed the video. Thank you for sharing.
King and Country does the most powerful version of Drummer Boy.
I went to their concert in Nashville last night🌟
I saw them twice in Atlanta! So powerful!
I like this version, by Whiteheart.
https://pie.yt/?v=https://youtu.be/LTV0MArm32w?si=GyW7oW_pe6JkcaJm&pieshare=1
Thanks Debbie … definitely in my top five
Like most popular singers these days they sound kinda mechanical due to them using pitch correction technology, as this guy proves in this video.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSP_4mJXWi4
I prefer the old school classic Christmas music sung with the natural voice.
I do as well. I guess that’s why I have the five album set of Readers Digest classic Christmas music in Vinyl, cassettes and CDs along with downloaded onto my phone 🤷🏻♀️.
Awww! Wings Of Pegasus! 🥰
and I'll add The Maga Christmas song, Christmas Feels Like Home Again!
https://youtu.be/8C_eQ9xlgn8?si=z09TfEkMBzwPwCM8
Saw them several years back at the Lyric Opera House in Chicago . Fantastic show!
🥲That was beautiful. Thank you!
Where are you from John of Oregon Fame? Besides the obvious, Oregon.
“But cursed be the deceiver, which hath in his flock a male, and voweth, and sacrificeth unto the Lord a corrupt thing: for I am a great King, saith the LORD of hosts, and my name is dreadful among the heathen.”

Great. did you like today's title?
This fine man understood it far more than YOU, Tammy Faye!

Until and unless Congress gets off their lazy butts to actually HELP the President, we're mired in neutral, the EOs notwithstanding. President cannot do all of this by himself. What's the point of owning both houses, then sitting around twiddling thumbs?
The swamp runs deep…
Very deep.
The swamp looks to eliminate the middle class by sinking the auto industry. It's an old plan.
Indeed.
VERY old. Since the 70s, old.
on both sides...unfortunately
We are in the situation because Congress & Senate have betrayed their oaths for fifty years. I view the current administration as more third party than "Republican".
DJT has been left with a tough situation and he wants to turn it around and many are against this.
What is the definition of treason?
Which is why the military is the only way. WWGOWGA
both corrupt wings of the Party still win, most of the Rs play pata-a-cake with the Ds in the smoky backroom meetings anyway.
only the citizenry loses
Always, yep.
The filibuster needs to go - a permanent veto was never envisioned by the Constitution
I agree, but how does that happen? The whole 2017 Republican scenario is being played out again. Talk nice, say nothing, do nothing, deflect, and continue the status quo.
I believe the Senate can vote at any time to alter the filibuster rules
They need to hear from massive numbers of people. They’re all have offices with phone numbers.
Amen
Sounds like a short, sweet script we all can use to call our Senators and Representatives.
let's hope something happens so we can at least see who the RINOs are before the primaries
It’s a very sad state of affairs imo. And how dare they keep asking me for money. 🤬
🙌
It is Trump vs the Uniparty.
Well said.
Often, Trump and Israel vs America.
Isn't that the truth?!! As I have said before, the majority of them are as useless as teets on a boar hog! And to think, we are paying their salaries and allowing them to be useless!!!!
I have to think the minds behind Project 2025 would have seen this coming and prepared a way through it? Maybe not
Hopefully Paul Danz, one of the architects of project 2025, can win his primary against Lindsey Graham.
I agree, they're so prepared for this term, it's astounding.
AMEN
Please help hold Brown President Christina Paxson accountable for the death of Ella Cook. She is covering up the suspect’s identity. Paxson must resign: https://yuribezmenov.substack.com/p/chris-paxson-brown-open-letter-ella-cook
This is feeling like another Kirk assassination.
That was exactly my thought when I heard about the killing of Ella Cook. The left does not have truth so they can never win a real debate so violence is always their de facto.
Great letter, Yuri. Well done!
Cognitive Warfare is Manipulating Your Thoughts and Destroying our Democracy https://share.google/pYTlSA4KmJTAxuxuX
Covid Vaccines should be designated a WMD. Far worse than Fentanyl.
Worse in that it has been used to kill and maim way more people. But per dose Fentanyl is equally as devastating.
Some epidemiologists say 17 million+ killed globally.
AMEN to that!
No. We must focus on “narcoterrorists”. (Every time I see or hear this word, I get pissed off!)
Trump made them and says they’re the best ever so that probably won’t happen
Yes, he cooked them up in his garage in a day.
He claims the pandemic was stopped by them and they are being used to cure cancer. He also claims they were made in months compared to the years it would have taken biden.
That's from Trump's own mouth (Truth social).
And you believe him? That that's really what HE believes?
since the program started under him and had the first shots available in late 2020, yes.
Yes, it's Trump's baby.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Warp_Speed
You May See an Angel, By Pat Leonard
So touching. Thanks, Tri!! Merry Christmas!
Beautiful! We need stories like these!
You will have it. Check back here on tomorrow's article.
Thank you!
We are so lucky to have TriTorch stories this Christmas!
I will second that one.
as far as Germany refusing to admit a recession, we just dealt with 4 years of the Weekend at Brandon's Autopen regime also refusing to admit recession, going so far as to redefine the term the same way they redefined "vaccine" to remove the word immunity and include their gene therapy mod mRNA shots
That's horrifying. How the mighty have fallen in the EU, and it was by their own choices. And yet they still can't see the error of their ways.
The World Order looks to eliminate the dangerous middle class.
Perhaps the demons from 'The Synagog of Satan' have succeeded in their mission
to destroy Germany?
True and they were also hasty in closing their
nuclear plants, exasperating the problem.
Add their 'open boarders' and anti Russia
saber rattling and you have cocktail of self defeating agendas. Sad.
Exacerbating. To make worse.
Exasperating. To be peeved with.
Thx Bandit -
I'm exasperated with my error.
I ought to have know better!
Auto spell?
Nope - just dozy. ;-)
Think of all that extra air pollution. And they will run out of wood at some point.
That once great country is going back to the stone age. Good bye Germany.
OOOOh boy your post brings back memories for me!
I got on a binge of buying Nissan / Datsun Z cars
I could never drive one of those cars slow. . .
None would have beaten your 911 though!
yep meant to include that little fact
Well, no but you are female. . . so.
Any guy would have gotten the ticket!
I think my daughter told me once she had been let off NINE times in a row over the years. . . heck, she was COUNTING them!
NOT fair.
Yeah, and I wasn’t bad looking back then 😂🤣😂
OK, so blond too!
definitely NOT fair.
Climbing the next hill w/o having to drop into 3rd gear was always the game in underpowered Veedubs.
lol
I had a couple of friends who had those things in the late 60's -early 70's. As long as they were operated in places where the weather was warm most of the time, they were pretty reliable. But in areas with severe winter weather they had a tendency to be very UNreliable. You might get where you were going, but you generally had to find a different mode of transport to return home.
shayne - thanks for that story, makes me long for the "good ole days", lol.
They were the good ole days, Dave. I long for them too 😉
My dad has an old bug (can’t remember the year, but he’ll probably see this and respond 😉) that he has restored over the years. I wonder what this development will do for the value of collectors VWs.
Those old Bugs are all over the place in Mexico.
It's on it's way. Only problem is that by the time it gets there the cars will be more expensive as well
What
part of Oregon did your family live? I am a native Oregon transplanted in northern Alabama…loving life in the Southland but still pine away (see what I did there?) for Central Oregon.
The line in your last paragraph "twelve Democrat lawsuits, three injunctions, two trips to the Supreme Court, and a spree of late-night comedians making Iraq jokes." could be set to music with the Twelve Days of Christmas. ;)
🤣😆 Someone needs to do this 😁
Omg SOMEONE please make this song 😆🤣
And make it as good as Jeff Foxworthy's Redneck 12 Days of Christmas!
send it to Foxworthy and I bet he will use it!
Surely Jeff, had that song in mind while writing this tome. . .
thanks only to YOU Charles I NOW "get it."
Took me a bit. . . geeez.
I once read that four times as many people make their living from cancer compared to the number of people that have it.
Thankfully, these people weren't too influential when refrigerators replaced ice boxes and ice delivery.
Bring on the revolution in cancer care. You might find this glioblastoma treatment intriguing.

I pray it does. Don't forget Fenbenzadole's expensive sister "human drug" patented by John's Hopkins for use against brain tumors:

Spot on
Also dumping of Chinese electric cars
Prayers for fast healing and health protection for parents 🙏🏻 Now back to the news.
Yes!!!
"UK military chief warns “sons and daughters” must be ready to fight Russia…"
France says the same.
Europeans are NOT keen to sacrifice their children for Ukraine.
But their leaders are, like Macron, Merz and Starmer.
And let's not forget the destruction of the gas pipeline that cut off gas to Germany. Remind me, who blew up the pipeline????
And then there’s the electric car imports from China
Employment in manufacturing continues to decline through redundancies and non-renewals.
it mentioned obliquely the government dysregulation of the energy industry but no details on how they destroyed existing functional infrastructure as promotion for the New Green Energy Scams they're shoving down everyone's throats.
it also failed to mention the despotic control of the government entirely banning a party based on fraudulent hate speech and terrorism claims by their partisan "intelligence" branch, clearly the name is an oxymoron like the US or EU "intelligence" agencies.
didn't mention the government taking out a Rothschild-bank loan for half a trillion without the resources to pay it back.
etc
Exactly! GROK is telling the "truth", but omitting that crucial detail. Eugypius, on SS has been covering this for years.
Yes!
"...didn't mention the government taking out a Rothschild-bank loan for half a trillion without the resources to pay it back."
And right there is the "man behind the curtain."
Well done.
Just don't blame me. It's not my fault.
I choose to blame it on the rain
"I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain?
I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain
Comin' down on a sunny day?" -CCR
CCR! Best R&R band ever!
The blamers would do well to listen to the Eagles’ song “Get Over It.”
And don't forget to blame Trump.
I blame him. Twice.
👍
That's YUGE!
Wait…what? No tariffs? Someone should alert the Times…
The middle class is being throttled in all Christian white countries.
The "cutoff" of Russian gas Grok says. Who ''cut off'' that gas? That would be Germany, first, and then the US blowing up the pipelines to make sure Germany didn't get cold feet about the sanctions.
They cut off the gas and then blame Russia.
Our leaders are toddlers.
Mrs. RW
Migration has also turned Germany into another Los Angeles
IMO, Scumbag globalist Merkel, an East German commie... had a lot to do with Germany's collapse.
Further, Germany will never be great again until they start to celebrate their greatest leader, and throw off the yoke of the BIG Zionist LIES of the "holocaust"... expel all the mud people immigrants and knock off the demonization of Russia.
I read only two sentences and laughing my head off. Sorry, so t mean to laugh at the illness your kids are suffering but how you write about it is too funny! 😂
Our household has the same cold and the cough is violent and lingering… so much coughing 🤧 ahhhhhh
Ask your doc for Tessalon. Works like a charm.
Is that a cough medicine? I was just going to comment that the only kind that really works for me has codeine in it.
Yes it is, no codeine in it though.
Highlight "Tessalon" and look it up. The potential side effects will stop you from coughing alone.
I don’t think it’s OK for pediatric patient
Generic name: “benzonatate” !!!
Never had an issue.
And isn’t that what so many say about the shots…..
Well, please feel free to cough your lungs up onto your table and get no significant relief. Chronic cough is very bad for your lungs and vessels but hey, you know best! Cheers:}
"We love our courageous and long-suffering cousins in Europe and wish to preserve their traditions and national identities, but the EU must go." Amen!
They have to want to preserve their own traditions and identities as much as or more than we do in order for this to be feasible 😕
