ERRATA

— Alert readers reminded me to capitalize "Marines" and that TECHNICALLY they don't "rappel" at sea, so I tweaked that too. Fixed

Fran Tabor's avatar

Sure looks like rappelling to us landlubbers.

Margot Wooster's avatar

I assume he was talking about “climb up the side of the ship on ropes”? I didn’t watch any video, but I would like to know what that’s called.

Dan (100% All in MAGA)'s avatar

They might have rapelled - if they were inserted by helicopter(s) and not boats. They might have boarded by both methods.

What I thought was pretty sweet was the USS Spruance employing naval gunfire with their 5 inch gun while on the move against a moving target in moving seas! Here, here Spruance! That's some good shooting!

Fiat Lux's avatar

I want to know what was on this ship that it desperately tried to run the blockade. Perhaps it was Chinese take out.

Dan (100% All in MAGA)'s avatar

I'm thinking that is a good possibility, if Chinese "take out" includes the shoulder launched air defense missile which got the shot on the unsuspecting F15 crew. Being that it was an IRGC controlled asset you can bet it wasn't rice, chop sticks and apricots.

John of Oregon Fame's avatar

Fiat, I see what you did there. Chinese "take out".

Adele Virtue's avatar

possibly the fact that if it did not get to port their families would be 'cared for' by the IRGC.

Juju's avatar

Climbing up the side of a ship using ropes is primarily referred to as abseiling (or rappelling in the U.S.)

So Jeff was technically correct from a U.S. perspective. Lol

MayBella82's avatar

Actually they were going from the helicopter to the ship and it is called Fast roping. As a Navy pilot, I’ve done it with Navy SEALS and EOD as few times during deployment.

BeadleBlog's avatar

Hello MayBella82! EOD air-ops memories!

MayBella82's avatar

Loved the EOD guys… they made the flying fun!

Jamison's avatar

Thank you for serving!

Margot Wooster's avatar

Thanks, Juju! Inquiring minds want to know these things 🤓

Juju's avatar

So much so I felt compelled to rappel over to Ai to find out. 🤣 (a little alliteration inspired by too much coffee…)

Bohica's avatar

I know that I rappelled in the Navy from a helicopter. Marines do it too. This keeps a naval vessel away from an enemy ship.

Dan (100% All in MAGA)'s avatar

Yep, rapelling is the correct term although depending on the method of rapelling employed, they could also be "fast roping" which is quite a bit quicker, but you need good gloves!!! Basically just sliding down the rope with your hands, not leg attachment to the rope.

MayBella82's avatar

Which helicopter did you repelled from? I flew H-46s and we only did fast rope. Granted that was years ago and the H-46 has been retired for about 15 years now. Marines also did the fast rope from their H-46s.

Skeptical Actuary's avatar

Are there any safety measures with that, or if someone loses their grip, do they fall?

MayBella82's avatar

If you are going to be exact, I correct one other military thing… if you want to shorten the Coast Guard, call them Coastie. When you shorten to the Guard, it is the National Guard that is being talked about. Just saying:-).

MayBella82's avatar

It is called fast roping to the deck of a ship.

BeadleBlog's avatar

That would be fast-roping, which is sliding down a very thick rope secured and deployed from a helicopter.

MayBella82's avatar

Did you notice how high the helo was? Ouch if that rope was not long enough.

Kathy Sincere's avatar

Here is another ERRATA - do not cheer for Erica Schwartz. Call it like it is, another failure for the medical freedom movement. Let's tell the Truth about Trump's allegiance to pHARMa. Susie Wiles as his chief of staff says it all.

James Goodrich's avatar

Iran is like the Black Knight in the movie Monte Python and the Holy Grail. He won’t let King Arthur cross the bridge. Despite Arthur cutting off all four of his limbs one by one the Black knight insists that his injuries are merely “a flesh wound” and wants to continue to fight claiming “none shall pass”, and “I’m invincible”. You’ve got to watch this, it’s the perfect analogy and a good Monday morning laugh.

@jeffchilders you / C&C got a nice shout out by Susan from Promethean Action about an hour in on this fascinating podcast (she reads you every day!) https://youtu.be/iUz0wwZgqFQ

Joanie Higgs's avatar

Here's a time-stamped link, directly to her comments: https://youtu.be/iUz0wwZgqFQ?si=JUmSACA9P7dOTlw5

Juju's avatar

So I clicked your link thinking it would go directly to the part of the video where she talks about Jeff. It didn’t. It actually took me to the start of the video and pulled me into a lonnnng rabbit hole. 🤣 Pulled me away from comments because it’s an interesting discussion and I just found myself listening.

For others the time stamp where she begins to talk about Jeff’s C&C analysis starts at: 1:11:40. I just got to it. 😆😆 Thought I’d come here to share the timestamp.

It WILL pull you in because it’s soooo interesting listening to all the valid arguments both against and for this war - and I love Susan and can never turn her off. Everrrr

Thanks - loved their mention of getting to abolishing the British system of property tax!

A.'s avatar

I have watched and supported Promethean Action podcasts too. I do not agree with 100% of the PA views, but perhaps 90%.

I hope Barbara and Susan are not evangelicals. Even if they are here at C&C. I know they have Christian beliefs of some sort. They can think as individuals, for one thing, so that is a good sign. Perhaps they are balanced Christians.

Margot Wooster's avatar

A, curious: what’s your definition of “evangelicals”?

A.'s avatar
3hEdited

Coming from a traditional Catholic background, Margo, evangelicalism has shocked me on more than one occasion. There is a lot of coercive persuasion going on there. And extremism. Many people claiming that they and only they can interpret the Bible and tell you how you must live and behave. There is a high degree of control and judgment going on. A great deal of groupthink.

I saw the film "Marjoe" years ago, about the evangelical Bible-belt in the U.S. and how it could be milked through a combination of con-artistry and the very gullible believers. It was most illustrative. Not that it was my first exposure to these groups.

Moderate Protestantism is entirely different.

Margot Wooster's avatar

A, out of curiosity, I looked up “evangelical” in the dictionary, and I like this “ Of, relating to, or being a Christian church believing in the Bible as the sole source of religious authority, in salvation only through conversion and spiritual regeneration, and in the necessity of public witness to faith.”. Too bad the term has been so misused and abused!

A.'s avatar

But looking something up in a dictionary never proves anything, Margot. Though I see people who think it does. Ahem....

Academic proof in Western society comes from formal peer-reviewed academic literature...NOT from a dictionary entry.

A dictionary entry tells you only what that for-profit publishing company picked as their definition (for any reason at all). It is evidence of nothing else. I have had to explain this mistake countless times to people who think they have won the argument by giving me a dictionary entry.

Sue Thompson's avatar

Oh good Lord. "Marjoe" was your education on evangelicalism? The bare-bones definition of evangelicalism is that, within Protestant Christianity, it holds to the Bible, to the atonement of Christ, to the belief that one must have a personal conversion, and most importantly, that the "good news" (which is what "evangel" means) is to be spread by those who are . . . evangelical. You have perhaps not noticed that Jeff Childers is an evangelical, as are many who comment here.

There are wackos and nutcases and many disturbing, unworthy types within the evangelical frame, just as there are within Catholicism. My husband, a former Catholic, comments frequently on what he considers the insanity of many Catholics who hold to doctrines he finds "shocking." Groupthink is what you're concerned about? And you're Catholic?

Let's just acknowledge we can find a whole lot of things under rocks. Doesn't make the rock complicit. Wouldn't surprise me if Susan and Barbara at Promethean are evangelical. We don't all look and sound alike.

A.'s avatar

Sue, you begin here with very un-Christian-like disdain. Which rather proves my point about evangelical issues.

Want to try again? And rather than being simply tribal and out to get "the other"....attempt to act according to the Gospels.

OK?

And no...this is not my only exposure to evangelicalism. Did I tell you that? But I do not intend to write a book here on this Substack. Stop being so silly!

Truth Seeker's avatar

Coming from same "background" have always wondered how it

possible to retain allegiance since the widespread reveals of the

padres grooming countless young boys in every city studied.

Then being "reassigned" to another parish. The entire bushel is rotten, not a few bad apples...

Very doubtful you or anyone else will attempt a justification...

A.'s avatar

Well, I hold to pre-Vatican II Catholicism, TS. Different from the post-1965 version, which became tainted by Globalist Marxism.

Although you are correct about pedophilia appearing in the Catholic Church....and across society. One thing I must point out is that the infiltration could have been deliberate in order to pull down the Church. Easy to get into the seminary programs. Marxism excels in infiltration of their own into Western institutions. Are you certain this was not the cause?

You can find pedophilia in many places today, most unfortunately. I do think the priesthood needs to be tweaked to become more human for those in that role. So what -- you give up Christianity altogether, and you think that will be better? Don't throw out the baby with the bathwater. There are many heinous behaviours out there from the secular types and atheists too. You might want to look at that while you're at it.

It is very fashionable to diss Catholicism. Move on to really thinking about that.

A.'s avatar

And then we have groups such as the Jehovah's Witnesses and the Mormons. Who do not consider themselves strictly evangelicals, but who do fall under the three traits I have listed. As well as those two groups, there are an untold number of religious extremist cults.

Cheryl Caraglior's avatar

Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons and other cults do not rely solely on the Bible for faith and practice. They rely on other writings. That's what makes them a cult and not Christian at all.

Truth Seeker's avatar

Would make the strong case that the Catholics are by a large margin the largest "cult" Derives from the word culture:

The Knights Who Say "Ni!", also called the Knights of Ni, are a band of knights encountered by King Arthur and his followers in the 1975 film Monty Python and the Holy Grail and the play Spamalot. They demonstrate their power by shouting "Ni!" (pronounced /niː/ ⓘ NEE), terrifying the party, whom they refuse to allow passage through their forest unless appeased through the gift of a shrubbery.

Eli's avatar

RJ Just to add a layer -- I believe the knights who say Ni was a play on the original word for knight, which was cniht in the original Old English, a joke for Brits who got it, with the nuance totally lost on Americans. If you listen to a clip from the movie, when they first say the word it definitely sounds like cniht.

As for the story about Tulsi and the criminal referrals to the DOJ, Brian Cates believes this is a signal to all the deep state players that more indictments are coming, and this is far bigger than it may seem. He thinks that this year we will see the military arrest members of Congress, Governors, Mayors, those who participated in the treasonous coup, or hold office because of rigged elections involving foreign actor interference. The civil court system cannot be used for this, because of so many conflicts of interest.

I will check Randy out and am truly most obliged and humbled by your thoughtfulness.

Speaking of animals, the only protest of late that I was rooting for was saving those poor beagles from the horrors they are subjected to in medical research. Remember the photos of those poor pups that had their vocal cords cut to save the researchers from hearing their cries of distress, as Fauci’s crew subjected them to being eaten alive by sand flies? 😭

Lori's avatar

Yes, I would do the same to fauci without hesitation. Beagles are used in vet schools and medical research. I saw this weekend that people stormed a lab in Wisconsin to free the lab beagles but were shot at with rubber bullets and tear gas. It hurts my heart to its core to see animals in research when there are alternatives. There are so many we need to punish besides politicians.

The military arresting members of Congress and other politicians is a non-starter - Posse Comitatus and all that - but indictments will likely be filed. Lori's avatar

You must have meant Pusse Comitatus.

Johnny-O's avatar

Don't worry, Trump may have real legal reasons to be impeached after the Iran disaster.

No one is worried but those driven by TDS, mania, weird sexual perversions to protect, lack of knowledge, understanding, as well as, those who don't have the discernment of a cockroach.

Johnny-O's avatar

You mean like protecting the Epstein class like the Trump DOJ has been doing?

Lisa's avatar

I stand with my characterization of you, 'less discernment than a cockroach'.

LOL...you mean like the so-called "protecting of Trump" by the DOJ of Bush, Obama, Clinton and Biden, who are ALL, by the way, members of "the system" meant to destroy and replace humanity.

Johnny-O's avatar

So the guy who backed operation warp speed and called it one of the greatest accomplishments ever isn't part of the system meant to destroy humanity? What kind of mental gymnastics do you have to do in order to believe otherwise? Or the current conflict taking offline a massive percentage of global fertilizer? Yeah, he's definitely on team humanity smh

Thanks for the kind words Lisa. You are a true Christian.

Mento's avatar

Oh Johnny….

Inisfad's avatar

What Iran ‘disaster’??

Johnny-O's avatar

The one that was supposed be done weeks ago, that has spiked energy costs, restricted global fertilizer supplies during spring planting, cost us hundreds of billions, destroyed US bases, etc. That one.

Neil Kellen's avatar

I think you mean cost hundreds of trillions and killed 700,000,000,000 people.

Inisfad's avatar

I guess you’ve never heard of Brent Crude Oil and how it’s actually Brent that determines the cost of petroleum futures, which is what your current cost is based on. And just what ‘US base’ has been destroyed in the past 2 months/. You’re spewing nonsense.

Johnny-O's avatar

You mean the WTI charts I watch daily? No, no idea what you are talking about. But apparently the 10D chess wizard doesn't know - because he tells his true believers not to worry because we have so much oil. Utter lies to try to calm people down - we don't keep our oil - it goes on the global market. Furthermore, we don't have refining capacities to replace what goes through the strait.

You believe the US hasn't suffered massive damage in the Gulf? What are you smoking bruh? We had to pull our navy out and have left our stronghold in Iraq. Plenty of analysts have reported severe damage, but you won't hear that from your lying government, of course.

Susan Seas's avatar

We sure are praying that arrests and convictions are coming! These people who instigated these terrible acts have committed treason and should be dealt with accordingly! If not, it will continue and only get worse, and our Republic will suffer and/or crash and burn! Too many people have given their lives to keep our precious country free, and this must not be allowed continue!

CHop's avatar

Maybe they have. Bush sr., Cheney, McCain, Mueller, etc all deceased. More than half of congress died, resigned or stated they won't run for re-election. Numerous pedophiles arrested. Many CEOs stepped down. It's slowly happening.

Lisa's avatar

If you know any of them that can get through the "red tape" than get their "Oaths of Office" as most don't have one. Obama taught them to refrain from having a signed, witnessed, sealed, binding contract, so they couldn't be charged with treason. They just held and attended "live performances" and that was enough "proof" for most Americans to abandon concern.

We need new laws, if we continue in any similar way, that involve the implications/punishments for knowingly running for or holding office under a "promise" and "Oath of Office", knowing that alternative promises made to other "entities" supersede ANY "promise" or "Oath of Office", subsequently. Failure to maintain these superseding promises to the superseding entity is on "pain of death" and it's an ugly death at that.

One of the first oaths members of "the system" take is to "be their brothers' keeper"...all brothers, anytime, under any circumstances, including murder. The protective "umbrella" over a vast number of "entities" with sworn/oathed/promised members is VAST, but the wax is wearing off.

Obama also taught Macron that a tiny "tear" in the service envelope or the physical, original copy of a legal vote, rendered it inadmissible and on it's way to the trash heap or the furnace. Macron beat his female counterpart twice and beat forced extraction with that little gem.

In Arizona when parents couldn't get anywhere with the school boards for holding their children in strange "educational hostage situations" they went after the surety bonds of the school boards and administrators and it worked, beautifully.

Juju's avatar

“We need new laws,…” indeed, but to get them we need a new Congress. 3/4 of them are presently corrupt.

Skeptical Actuary's avatar

I don't think it works that way. I hate to admit it, but I worked briefly for the IRS as a very low level clerk. They have you stand up and take an oath that they said is the same oath as every federal officer up to the vice president. There was nothing signed.

Now, I am sure the inspector general's office employees have to pass some level of security clearance, and there might be additional things to sign.

" I refuse to speculate that this is more of that 5D chess—Trump attempting to expose the agenda by putting one of their proponents in the director’s chair. (I’m onto you, Lucy.) I can no longer rule out the possibility that Bobby has been compromised, or threatened, or blackmailed, or simply told “you can have your red dye ban, or you can have literally nothing at all” and the man grudgingly embraced the slightly-less-awful option. I’ll leave it to Optimist-in-Chief Jeff Childers—the only guy I know who can routinely out-Pollyanna me—to sprinkle a metric ton of rose-colored glitter all over this mess for us later this morning."

RFK Jr. sat before a US House committee on Thursday and alternately was praised by Republicans and thrashed by Democrats for four hours. He held up pretty well. Some of the Democrats were reasonably reserved and asked focused questions, and some started by praising the service of his family. Having been on both sides of the fence could have caused her to staunchly and firmly hold the same perspectives as RFKJr. So I pray she is a “born again” anti-vaxxer. They DO exist. Many of us fall into that bucket. Somehow having advocated for the other side of an issue then converting makes you the best advocate for the other side.

Of course - it most likely is as simple as Jeff is thinking: she is respectful and obedient to following the chain of command regardless her own personal beliefs. That would make her a wise pick too.

Cabogirl's avatar

Yep. Exactly. I always agree with you Juju

KateT's avatar

I think that is what happened to Fetterman. I think his stroke was a vaccine injury and he knows it. Now he is the only sane Democrat in Congress.

Roger Kimber, MD's avatar

I resemble that person.

Yours is a good point. My first reaction was to wince. Trump has made some terrible picks, particularly in term 1, but in term 2 not so much. So, if Kennedy was on board for this, that's an independent positive data point. There must be something we can't see from the cheap seats. Maybe it's just me but sure looks like the high profile ICE resistance evaporated when the tribal card holding Indian was appointed as head. I can imagine some ironically humorous optics with the Dems attacking the new CDC head over controversial decisions. Imagine the WOKE left trying to call her stupid, unqualified, magic thinking, witch craft believing and anti science (or any other favorite pejorative) - Just sayin. I don't believe in DIE, but if you have several equally best qualified candidates, and one can also serve this double duty, how strategically delicious.

MayBella82's avatar

Hopefully, President Trump listen to the seasoned military around him…on paper is one thing but her reputation isn’t something that can be hidden. As you get more senior, your reputation among other senior military is everything.

Cabogirl's avatar

Yes. Exactly. I agree totally.

Abiding Dude's avatar

Why then, are the Covid death-jabs still being offered and promoted?

Ditto glycophosphate? Ditto Remdesivir?

kittynana's avatar

@Dude- people still clamor for them.

Cabogirl's avatar

Erica might be a peace offering, a filler, and hopefully will build a bridge between all these vax addicts and the what they left believes to be anti-vaxxers…..which aren’t that, they just want safe vaxxes.. not toxic, population reducing and long term payers into the corrupt medical and pharmaceutical complexes. Maybe she can do that. I don’t know but I guess we will see.

With all this talk of pirates, this post should be rated arrrrr

Reggie Greenleaf's avatar

Atty Childers it is your level-headedness (and sense of humor) that not only keeps me coming back but keeps me sane during all of the switchbacks that we continually run into. Thank you for being that "voice of reason" for all of us who are continually confused about what is going on. Please keep up the good work! God bless you and your family!

Jan Hollerbach's avatar

With all the good Trump has been and is doing, the idea that you should give up on him because of one nominee is bizarre. This perfectionistic cancel culture is insane. When did we get the idea that if something isn't 100% perfect, it needs to be thrown out? It sets up a totally untenable view of life. Thank God that God is more forgiving than the internet!

westbound's avatar

However, you failed to notice the false dichotomy which is 1) ditching Trump 2) embracing democrats. His ONLY two choices apparently. Adults notice this type of wording.

RunningLogic's avatar

Agree. It’s the same mentality that leads some people to break up with a boyfriend or girlfriend or divorce because their partner isn’t perfect. Holding anyone to a standard of even quasi perfection is completely unrealistic. And hypocritical too because none of us are that either.

Margot Wooster's avatar

Amen, Jan. That also holds true with Christians picking each other to pieces over the slightest disagreement on theology or Scripture interpretation.

Conservative Contrarian's avatar

All the good? Can you provide a list for those of us who must be too dense to see it?

Patti's avatar

Crime reduction.

The border is closed

MAHA is moving in the right direction. It’s a big ship and it doesn’t turn on a dime.

Lisa's avatar

Don't bother, Patti. CC isn't prepared to see any "good" in anything that doesn't protect the the sociopath, the weird, the profane or the destruction of our country.

Patti's avatar

Thanks Lisa! This was just a quick scroll of a couple things not even an entire list. Always negative. It can’t all happen with a snap of a finger. We did not get here over night or in 4 years. It will take some time and I am constantly reminding myself. Cheers C&C friend ☕️

Lisa's avatar

I would say that the power of swift result is miraculous given this treachery has been going on for centuries and has had the benefit of "super-natural" "organization" in this Luciferian stronghold over a dazed, trusting humanity.

"AT LAST....I found a dream that I could speak to

A dream that I can call my own

I found a thrill to press my cheek to

A thrill that I've never known, oh, yeah, yeah".

It's SO GREAT!

Richard Whitney's avatar

I don't think the border is closed. I have a FB friend who is a ESL teacher in California, working with immigrant kids. She is very pro-immigration.

Anyway, there was a well-publicized bust in her town last year. She was quite upset because one of her student's father was arrested.

They are all back now. I don't know how. She says the coyotes and some corrupt Border Patrol members are making bank.

But the millions of other men from around the world who the Biden regime paid to go to Mexico and cross the border? That apparently has stopped. At least, I haven't seen any photos of masses of foreign men massed at the border.

Mrs. RW

MayBella82's avatar

Well… you did say California. Newsom loves his illegals and is doing everything he can to keep them and bring in more.

Fred's avatar

I know that’s a rhetorical question. However, in addition to the border, economic growth, bringing back manufacturing and tax reforms, my top two are keeping China away from control of the Panama Canal and (hopefully) returning Venezuela to its former glory. Like many, I’m concerned about the current conflict(s), but IF they work, the effects on world order and safety would be enormous.

Conservative Contrarian's avatar

I agree, we are being told Trump is accomplishing things I think need to be accomplished; I hope we are being told the truth. However elected politicians and unelected bureaucrats lie so frequently it's hard to know what, if anything is factual. I know I can't prove your list is accurate but I hope it is. But to say "All the good things ..." implies more than I think is true.

MayBella82's avatar

I love when Trump lives rent free in people’s minds!!!

Conservative Contrarian's avatar

I assume you mean me. I can't say he lives in my head any more than any other egotistical, lying elected politician does. I may be more vocal in my criticisms of Trump than I was Biden, primarily because I knew what Biden was. On the other hand I supported Trump for specific reasons and now it has becoming obvious he lied; quite a bit. Since I have standards I believe in, when someone lies to me I take note.

Since I don't worship Trump, or any other person, I suspect he lives in the heads of his cult members much more than in the heads of those of us who think he has become a pathetic joke.

Barbara Lekowicz's avatar

Too dense? Hmmm. Not quite the word I would use!!

MayBella82's avatar

lol… I agree with you. I can think of a couple of better words instead of dense.

Conservative Contrarian's avatar

Take your pick, it's worth what you paid for it. An insult only works when the insultee [sic] cares what the insulter thinks. Otherwise only the insulter & their ilk get a rush off of it.

Enjoy! 🤠

Conservative Contrarian's avatar

When I was a youngster my brother's mother's daughter, not they, said I was like a forest & a jungle; dense. It still applies!

Cabogirl's avatar

Yes. So when you throw Trump out then what are you going to replace him with? Do they have some good options for that? I would like to hear what the options are, please. If you are going to make a negative statement then please give us at least a hint of some solution.

Abiding Dude's avatar

Doing good... like supporting and funding Israel's genocide in Gaza?

Launching an unprovoked and grossly illegal war against Iran?

Throwing $200 Billion+ of OUR taxpayer cash down the Ukraine toilet?

Running $2.5 TRILLION annual deficits?

MIGA?

Jan Hollerbach's avatar

🤣😂🤣 Seriously? Talk to Biden and Burisma Hunter about Ukraine. October 7 was the genocide. Your Jew hatred is showing along with your ignorance of historicity. The deficit grew like an uncontrolled prostate cancer under your buddy Joe. And Iran won’t budge on giving back its uranium. So stopping a bunch of radical Islamic mullahs (who have no compunction about killing women because a strand of hair shows) from nuking us is unprovoked? Go back and inhale some more of whatever you’re smoking, Dude.

I concur with your evaluation on Trump and the new CDC director. Those of us who support Trump aren’t Panikins who run around screaming “Run away! Run away!” as if we are in the Monty Python movie In Search of the Holy Grail. “Stay the course, steady as she goes”.

Judith's avatar

Yes, my first thought was that she is military, she follows orders.

Dr Linda's avatar

As a Veteran, orders are orders. Unless unlawful. That is a tricky one; usually only determined after the order is carried out.

MayBella82's avatar

My first thought because if her credentials is she is rule follower. She wants to make flag so she will not do anything that would effect her reputation within the her military community. Selection boards are brutal the more senior you go and reputations are talked about in the tank.

I would have left in 2021 if responsible for enforcing mandates too... so maybe she's just the kind of 'No, I will not cross that Red Line' person needed... hopefully there's some sort of hearings and she says so for the record.... like so much - willing to wait and see.

(But tired of waiting for the DNI referrals to be acted upon and arrests to take place. Also do not think Treason should be a pardonable crime. Hunter's formation of Bohai Harvest with CHINA and Billionaire Step-Son of John Kerry Chris Heinz; to get their hands on Ukrainian Energy - [While BuyDem was VP and making his own threats against Ukrainian prosecutors to treasonously protect his family's own interests] - should have them tarred and feathered in a pillory on the National Mall in D.C. for July 4th!!!!!

I don’t think anyone should be pardoned who wan’t convicted first, because we’re supposed to all be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. I know, what a quaint idea!

"In the meantime, I’ll assume the President knows what he is doing and I’ll let the man work."

YES. So far, despite all the screaming when it starts, things are going in the right direction. How many times does he have to get it right before you assume he has a plan and wait to see it? Personally, I'm watching the world flip into something more sane WAY WAY WAY faster than anyone could have predicted, and I'm LOVING IT.

Let him work, there probably IS something up his sleeve, there has been very consistently.

Delightful Designs's avatar

On X, a link to an excellent article about why the Let Parents Decide Act is VERY bad, and will put us on the march to a fully politicized internet. If you think this is good because the R's are in charge, they quite probably will NOT always be. Don't hand power to your friends you do not want your enemies to have. Highly recommended reading.

Proof of age (ID) to use the internet, but not to vote.

rolandttg's avatar

I am 73 and still have to show ID at certain grocery stores to buy beer

Richard Whitney's avatar

That is an exercise in forced obedience. That is how they get people compliant with an ever increasing police state.

Papers, please!

Mrs. RW

rolandttg's avatar

I don't think so. It is lazy management and poor training of employees. Forced obedience was masks , social distancing, and stay at home.

RunningLogic's avatar

It’s so asinine. When you’re clearly beyond the age where it might be questionable, it’s just performative bureaucratic nonsense. Honestly I would like the laws to go back to age 18 for alcohol purchase and take away all the ridiculous efforts to “get” people for underage drinking. I think education and severe consequences for things like drunk driving or committing any crime while under the influence is more effective.

rolandttg's avatar

Yeah. I left out it's OK to change your sex under 18 and not tell your parents. It is all about control, votes, and power.

Delightful Designs's avatar

It's worse than that. As written, it's to even just use a phone. Doesn't matter if you never go on the net. Doesn't matter if it's your grandma who can't even text, all she does is make calls, before the phone will work at all, she has to be ID'd.

It's a mess. VERY bad mess, and the whole history of Russia in that article sounds WAY too easy to happen here too.

RunningLogic's avatar

It’s very instructive to go back and read C&C roundups from 2022 or 2023 and be reminded of what we were dealing with then and how far we’ve come.

Abiding Dude's avatar

Only the grossly ignorant think "things are going in the right direction".

"This kind of second-hand testimony was prohibited right on the face of the form. So Atkinson just … changed the form. He simply deleted the prohibition against hearsay. Kind of like changing the definition of “vaccine” on the CDC website."

That action, IMHO, shows he knew the evidence was was weak. He apparently also back dated the new form. It also reveals him as willing to support a coup.

RunningLogic's avatar

There should be consequences for him doing that too. Why does he get to change that because he feels like it??

162.550's avatar

I know in Florida there are numerous exceptions for hearsay evidence and I'm sure that's the way it is in other states. It's not always inadmissible. If it was legit hearsay why "tamper" with the original form? Not an Attorney but it appears he tampered with material evidence then failed to disclose any of that during the impeachment.

kittynana's avatar

@Bard- we're not stealing. We're confiscating.

Abiding Dude's avatar

Bullcrap... what legal justification is there for it?

Unilateral sanctions by lunatics do not become international law.

The blockade and piracy in international waters are grossly illegal... like the war on Iran itself.

The "preventing nukes" horseshit has been spewed by scum like Bibi since 1996.

https://meaninginhistory.substack.com/p/things-to-think-about-war-politics?

Lisa's avatar

Why would a Luciferian quote the Bible. It's weird. The rest of the Lucierians/Satanists in Iran even know better. "The Persians" don't have much to do with what's in those containers. It's an act of bravery and humanity to interfere with the complex trafficking of the Obamanian IRDC.

Bard Joseph's avatar

Obama?

You still talking about Obama?

This is Epstein Fury.

Lisa's avatar

You should go speak to the DOJ from Bush, Clinton, Obama and Biden who were unable to find a thing in the so-called "Epstein Fury". Those records are nothing new. I'll give it to the "pee pee" liar, he really set the bar for "pay to play" and using women to lie for strategic effect.

Even "horse face" was a trick for "YOU guys" and she's on her ranch, free and amused at the brilliance of our President.

Abiding Dude's avatar

War crimes, mass murder and piracy in international waters is not an act of bravery and humanity, you sad moron.

Skeptical Actuary's avatar

I'm sure the US will <eventually> give back the ship and any non military cargo.

We will also be helping pay for rebuilding if Iran ever gets a government that's halfway acceptable.

Cabogirl's avatar

I agree that for all nominees & generally in all cases (including ourselves), actions speak louder than words. It’s still head-scratching that with so many people without “vaccine baggage”, she’s the choice. And my son was in the military at the time the “vaccines” were mandated & I will ever resent the 2 he was forced to take. My husband & I were also banned from his graduation from boot camp for being unvaxed. Will never forget or forgive that, either.

Maureen's avatar

Right there w you. My son was in the Marines and took the vax rather than dishonorable discharge. I hated it at the time and still do. But I also pray every day to the God who is Sovereign to protect my son’s health and cause the vax to do no damage.

Cindi's avatar

So far no sequelae of which i am aware & like you, I remain hopeful that will stay the case. That said, he is in the near area of the 7.7 quake in Japan & I have not been able to reach him….
