I listened to a great Victor Davis Hanson segment yesterday in which he discussed how the left and particularly the radical left are motivated and characterized by a truly irrational sense of hatred. He saw that as a distinguishing factor between them and those on the right. He pointed out how deeply unhappy they always look, miserable and angry about everything.

I read his/her research. As much of it as I can. I donāt spend time on the X posts. The research is how they should be judged. If the X posts simply summarize what the research says, and people donāt go to read it before making judgements and conclusions, then I imagine it would sound sensationalized, because they never read the logic and reasoning behind what was said. You could say that about a LOT of people, practically all of us, if you take snippets of what we say out of context.

Does anyone even know what that means? Every person has four grandparents - all of their grandchildren would be first cousins to each other. You probably know your aunts/uncles & first cousins. Everyone also has 8 great-grandparents; where their greater issue would all be your second cousins.
How many of YOU met or knew your great-grandparents, all their children (your great-aunt/uncle) and all their children's children (your 2nd cousin)? I never knew my great-grandparents, met 3 of my grands (only 1 to my adulthood) and while I know my maternal family out to second cousins, I barely know more than a name for some first cousins on my father's side, much less second cousins. Geneology is a fascinating subject.

I have found great relief in returning to the Bible (horrible shit happened to people who overcame worse) and aligning myself with ONLY like minded (non vaccinated, awake) people who have a great sense of humor. We get together and watch clean comedians (Dry Bar on YouTube, āFluffyā, Jeff Allen) or old detective shows on Acorn and BritBox (No woke commercials!). We share healthy food and lifestyle tips and get outside every day. I did agree with posts critical of what was going on and posted comments agreeing, but I had stopped posting anything political or news related even before covid because I didn't really feel like having people I'd been friends with for years condescend to me as if I were a deluded child. I had friends who were not buying into the BS though, so I was always able to vent with them. I should have said more though, but I was constantly questioning my own feelings and views about the situation and the "what if I'm wrong?" question was always there. In any case, I wonder how many were like me? Based on the 2024 election, I suspect it was quite a lot. It has really only been since covid that I've accepted that I'm more conservative than liberal, even though I was heading that direction since 2001.

The Screwtape Letters! I saw a one man performance of this CS Lewis writing and it was RIVETING!!! I must admit I had not read the piece but knew of its theme. How to explainā¦.. imagine a large dance floor, then imagine one corner of the flat plane was lifted to cause the ādance floorā, to be at a diagonal angle, very much not level. The performance and the eloquence of the writing was such that I was literally on the edge of my seat, hanging on every word just to process the whole thing. On X, my research has found Midwestern Dr and Vigilant Fox (a directly related account) to be the opposite side of the same commercial medicine coin when it comes to sensational medical claims so be cautious.
What I like about her is that she has plenty of footnotes and study references at the bottom of each post. I imagine not every person has results from her recommendations, but at least she cites the percentages of good results. Cautious is always good advice, thank you!

I read his/her research. As much of it as I can. I donāt spend time on the X posts. The research is how they should be judged. If the X posts simply summarize what the research says, and people donāt go to read it before making judgements and conclusions, then I imagine it would sound sensationalized, because they never read the logic and reasoning behind what was said. You could say that about a LOT of people, practically all of us, if you take snippets of what we say out of context.
Iād rather point people to actually read AMDās research than try to make them uncomfortable to do so for such shallow reasons.
