You’re out of power? Ours has flickered a dozen times but so far has come back. I’m glad, I still have PTSD from the 4 days without power in May (joking about the PTSD of course). We are WINDY, though. We don’t usually get winds this strong this far inland (about 80 miles north of Galveston).

Been out since about 7:20. I was sure to beat my coffee before we lost power! 😂 Glad to hear you have power. I know what you mean about the PTSD! My daughter and I are remembering that crazy derecho experience. My husband is immune to these kind of things. When that storm blew through and my daughter and I were not home, he was cooking dinner on the gas stove.

That's why they want to ban gas stoves...especially those crazies in NY.

My natural gas bill was actually pretty low all winter.

My electric bill has gone through the roof.

It's very expensive to run windmills and solar panels that have to be hauled to a dump after a hail storm.

I can pick who my electric supplier is to reduce costs.

Never pick the one that promotes "green energy."

Just ship them factory direct to the landfill.

Problem solved.

And a Honda generator. I bought a Honda EU 2200 watt end of 2020 after 2 back to back hurricanes in Mobile. It's small enough where I can pick it up. I've only used it once but it was perfect keeping my fridge and freezer goods safe.

I would buy from a local dealer who also can service them if needed.
