Giving the benefit of the doubt is a credit to your character. I do like JD, and I’m only a little wary of Vivek. They both seem smart, sincere, and decent. I figure most people do the best they can between lapses of human nature. On the other hand, career politicians are mostly shameless and incapable of humility. I like a thoughtful, passably qualified citizen jumping into politics with an attitude like, “Somebody has to do something!” JD and MTG might fit that profile. Behind the msm ridicule, she can make sense. I can imagine Obama’s ridicule triggering Trump into running. He’s obviously driven to win, and he thrives on a challenge. I hope the beating he’s endured stokes his fire and humbles him a little bit.
