The Uniform Commercial Code is now the law of the land and the Constitution exists only for appearances. We are now a Corporate State governed by evolving corporate/commercial law. I totally understand you Clara. I also live in WA. My family is here. Our jobs and life are here. It feels like we are being overrun by crazies. Yesterday I was at the Dollar Store. The cashier was a young man dressed as a woman. Right behind me in line were two men with long pink and purple hair wearing dresses. I have lived in this area of WA for over 20 years. It used to be a red area. Not so much anymore. I feel a great need to escape.

This actually hits on so many points but I’ll be brief. You’ve hit the nail on the head, a lot of things have happened in politics, but our individual lives aren’t getting better. The cold truth is, I think this is the case and I don’t think Washington per se will help us a lot to get things better.
But I do think that this is just the life we live. I don’t think we need to hunker down and wait for Judgement Day, but we should live each and everyday within what is within our control to change. I’ve found that once I stopped paying or relying on trump or policies to change, I was able to learn about different tax codes to lower my taxes or different ways that I can take care of my health, etc.
Long story short, is that it’s easy to get hopeless in our day and age, but there are so many blessings around us that if we take matter into our hands, we can change things for ourselves.
I think that’s the beauty of life. Especially where we are now. How do we make the best of what we have — knowing no one is going to save us, but ourselves.
I think when we do this, combined with prayer and action, God begins to move in miraculous ways.
Easier said than done I know, but that’s how I see us living in this day and age.

The better news the Bible give us
Nowhere in Scripture will you find the idea that God helps those who help themselves. It’s not there. Instead, you find the opposite. For example, when Paul wrote about trials, he said that he and his team were “so utterly burdened beyond our strength that we despaired of life itself” (2 Cor. 1:9). Their burden was so great they felt they’d received a death sentence (10). That’s a big deal—like entirely contradict the platitude big. Jesus also described our redemption and the forgiveness of our sins as something reserved for those who can help themselves. Instead, he described us as sheep, needing a shepherd to come and rescue us (Luke 15:4-6).
God does not help those who can help themselves because, from this perspective, we cannot help ourselves. We cannot save ourselves from our bondage to sin, nor from the wrath of God, so He does. Our own power fails us when we rely on it, rather than God. To believe that God helps those who help themselves, is not only foolish, but it’s proud. Pride motivates the belief that we can do everything by our own gusto and go-to attitude. That we can pick ourselves up by our spiritual & moral bootstraps. But, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble” (James 4:6, 1 Pet. 5:5).
Thanks for bringing light in all this. We also must remember there is much propaganda meant to make us feel this despondency. When we don’t balance all the listening/reading with taking time to look for good and sharing it, we sink lower and can’t see clearly.
People forget that a lot requires an act of Congress (our senate) to impact our lives. They have dropped the ball here. EOs can only take us so far. Trump has properly passed the ball repeatedly as his position required, and they failed to catch it, on purpose. Everyone blamed the president while ignoring one of the three branches that is actually responsible. When enough new blood are elected it is harder for the swamp to circle the newly elected and capture them into their fold, using social intimidation tactics, because a large amount of new blood would have strength in numbers.

given that voter/ballot fraud is still rampant, I worry that the midterm results will not reflect the actual votes that were cast. They will spin it to mean America is unhappy with Trump, which couldn’t be further from the truth. Transitive verb: think of a kid throwing a ball. The power from that kid is going directly into the ball. Visualize: an arrow drawn between the kid, and his ball in the air. Force goes from kid to ball. Directly.
trans = across (as in, from kid, across to the ball)
it = it goes
trans-it = it goes across.
The ball receives that force. The kid is the thing doing the action (the subject). The ball is the thing receiving /getting the action (the object). Receiving the action directly. Nothing in the way between thrower and ball. So, we call the ball a direct object.
Now, imagine some other kids doing stuff:
he walks
he jumps
he runs
he stands
he departs
(also—he graduates)
In each of these the kid is doing something--but that "something" stops with the kid itself. There is motion here, but that motion stays with the kid. The motion/action doesn't go out onto anything. So, we say that the action/motion is intransitive.

Is anyone else having a hard time reading about the corruption? As it comes to light, to say I’m not surprised at all is an understatement. I totally understand you Clara. I also live in WA. My family is here. Our jobs and life are here. It feels like we are being overrun by crazies. Yesterday I was at the Dollar Store. The cashier was a young man dressed as a woman. Right behind me in line were two men with long pink and purple hair wearing dresses. I have lived in this area of WA for over 20 years. It used to be a red area. Not so much anymore. I feel a great need to escape.
I hope you can find a group of like minded folks to share the load, Clara. It’s a tough burden to shoulder when you feel you’re the only one with your eyes open.
I would love to move, but can’t. My husband points out that often the red states are headed in the same direction, just taking a little longer to get there.

This actually hits on so many points but I’ll be brief. You’ve hit the nail on the head, a lot of things have happened in politics, but our individual lives aren’t getting better. The cold truth is, I think this is the case and I don’t think Washington per se will help us a lot to get things better.
But I do think that this is just the life we live. I don’t think we need to hunker down and wait for Judgement Day, but we should live each and everyday within what is within our control to change. I’ve found that once I stopped paying or relying on trump or policies to change, I was able to learn about different tax codes to lower my taxes or different ways that I can take care of my health, etc.
Long story short, is that it’s easy to get hopeless in our day and age, but there are so many blessings around us that if we take matter into our hands, we can change things for ourselves.
I think that’s the beauty of life. Especially where we are now. How do we make the best of what we have — knowing no one is going to save us, but ourselves.
I think when we do this, combined with prayer and action, God begins to move in miraculous ways.
Easier said than done I know, but that’s how I see us living in this day and age.

For example, when Paul wrote about trials, he said that he and his team were “so utterly burdened beyond our strength that we despaired of life itself” (2 Cor. 1:9). Their burden was so great they felt they’d received a death sentence (10). That’s a big deal—like entirely contradict the platitude big. Jesus also described our redemption and the forgiveness of our sins as something reserved for those who can help themselves. Instead, he described us as sheep, needing a shepherd to come and rescue us (Luke 15:4-6).
God does not help those who can help themselves because, from this perspective, we cannot help ourselves. We cannot save ourselves from our bondage to sin, nor from the wrath of God, so He does. Our own power fails us when we rely on it, rather than God. To believe that God helps those who help themselves, is not only foolish, but it’s proud. Pride motivates the belief that we can do everything by our own gusto and go-to attitude. That we can pick ourselves up by our spiritual & moral bootstraps. People forget that a lot requires an act of Congress (our senate) to impact our lives. They have dropped the ball here. EOs can only take us so far. Trump has properly passed the ball repeatedly as his position required, and they failed to catch it, on purpose. Everyone blamed the president while ignoring one of the three branches that is actually responsible. When they work in tandem everything heals, but we haven’t had proper cooperation between the three branches in decades, except when a corrupt administration is controlling all three, as under Biden.
If only that cooperation could work for good and not evil …

If we had election integrity and voter ID, I would absolutely believe we’d get a Congress that actually works for the people. When enough new blood are elected it is harder for the swamp to circle the newly elected and capture them into their fold, using social intimidation tactics, because a large amount of new blood would have strength in numbers.
However …
given that voter/ballot fraud is still rampant, I worry that the midterm results will not reflect the actual votes that were cast. They will spin it to mean America is unhappy with Trump, which couldn’t be further from the truth. We are unhappy with our Senate, period, and with the overly corrupted legislative and judicial branches. We are delighted with the administrative branch.
I’m praying that the administration finds ways to intimidate fraudsters from trying, and expose the ones that do.
