I made it through about 20 minutes of the Super Bowl and quit. The bright day-glow magenta, cyan and yellow logo that screamed "bad print job" was annoying and distracting. (Look at a cereal box or almost any commercial product and look for the small colored squares near or on the seam. They are used by the 4 color press to make sure colors are right and are overlapping correctly.) Also, the game was boring. College football is so much more fun. I didn't know a single one of the music performers and have never heard of the halftime person. I am officially old.

Oh, and as of today, I am officially retired... a day I was positive I would never see. :)

And multiplied to my fellow Ohioan. :)

KatLee's avatar

While clicking through TV channels that ugly colored childish logo caught my eye. Yuck. Who would have picked those awful colors for a stadium? It was like looking at a poorly designed nursery. It’s coming up on our 250 - why not red, white and blue? The NFL is such a disaster.

That's what happens when the Marxist/Communist ideology creeps/infiltrates into the front office. Hopefully, it all implodes upon them soon and REAL FREEDOM & LIBERTY rings and shines forth once again. God Bless America!!!

Rightly so — you’re rightly so! The Super Bowl was completely different than decades past. I had a watch party with my subscribers and we talked about how the ads focused on nostalgia. Here’s some other thoughts from the event — but overall, the theme is the same; especially the halftime show: it doesn’t reflect the country we live in: https://unorthodoxy.substack.com/p/my-thoughts-on-the-super-bowl-from

Truth Seeker's avatar

that is what is isn't

The entertainment is overtly Satatic, in your face Satanic

What % is debatable

Truth Seeker's avatar

North of 20 million American tuned into the "alternative" Kid Rock headlined half time show.

the numbers are astronomical mostly from alt media. B B deserves no mention whatsoever

So why exactly , is anyone still watching it, or the NFL period? Stopped watching or following entirely after Colin took a knee, and then it became a thing. Lifelong Yankee fan, and haven't watched a game in years. When Juan Sotos' contract came up for renewal a few years ago (saw this on a TV at the gym) , my reaction was "Resign him? When did they sign him? " Have not missed any of it, and good golly, does it free up time to more meaningful things.

pretty-red, old guy's avatar

yep, mostly same here.

This morning we both realized we did not even turn the TV to "on air" channels-- streamed content, then wondered this morning . . .

hey, WHO won?!

I found out when I opened C & C!

About 20 years ago it became TOO obvious that purely ONE ethnic group completely dominates the pro-teams(ALL sports), being paid HUNDREDS of millions of $$, THEIR NFL handlers in this for one reason-- money and,

every time I watch I am privileged to stock up THEIR coffers, hear THEIR denigrating commentary against whites, and watch THEIR version of family entertainment at half time.

yeah, like this BB moron and his gang. . . pfffft.

Naw, not fer me.

Truth Seeker's avatar

Have been asking that exact question... for decades. Now it is so in your face that

fans are declaring idiocy. The NFL has been totally outed for game rigging.

The half time "show" has been overtly Demonic for many years.

Why are people so _tupid??

Garden Lover's avatar

Apparently, Jay-Z has a contract with the NFL to supply the “talent” for the half-time show.

MaryAnn's avatar

I stopped watching the reg season nfl when Peyton Manning retired. The SB half-time shows brought the scene of golden calf idol worship from the movie The Ten Commandments to mind so I tuned that out too. I am glad I can choose which commercials, if any, to watch at my leisure.

KatLee's avatar

I can tell you that the last time I was interested in watching the NFL was when Dan Fouts was QB of the Chargers 😂

Garden Lover's avatar

My husband went to a friend’s house to watch it. Even though I was invited, I stayed home. Why? I was tired, I didn’t want to give them anymore eyes than they already had, and I don’t care about football. Instead, I took a much needed three-hour nap. Time better spent. 😁

A puppet of many - J Z’s company evidently chooses the half time entertainment. Also it was weird to celebrate America’s 250th in the opening, yet pick a Spanish speaking unAmerican for entertainment. I know he’s Puerto Rican but that doesn’t make him American. Congratulations on your retirement FourWinds! I hope it brings with it blessings, relaxation, and contentment, like a lengthy sigh crashing into a comfy couch after a difficult but productive lifetime of struggle. =)

Found this for you:

Teacher Time Check by Julie Kirk

It's a time check like no other,

When you teach for many years.

To see your past students

Sporting mustaches and beards.

It's hard to believe your students

Have now grown.

And have moved on to careers

And families of their own.

When did this happen?

There's just no way.

It seems like it was

Just flippin' yesterday.

But the final bell has rung and

The pencils are down.

You will miss each of your students,

Even the class clown.

You'll retire happy with a few

Grey hairs atop your head.

But they are there to remind you

Of all the students you led.

All those years of teaching,

It's hard to believe.

The fun and frustration,

That's so hard to leave.

But it's the last day of school and

You're exhausted and weary.

It's time to move on

Before you get teary.

It's been a long road

And at times certifiably crazy.

Now it's off to the beach

To relax, unwind and be lazy.

FourWinds's avatar

I like it! Believe it or not, I used to teach environmental education at a camp. It was the best 5 years of my life. Now all those kids grew up and who knows if they remember anything… but I get it! Thanks ❤❤

TWO things they never told ME about retirement... first, TIME SPEEDS UP, by like a Factor of 2, and second, you still manage to WASTE HALF of it LOOKING FOR STUFF YOU JUST HAD IN YOUR HAND!!! And then it's Bedtime. Again!!!

Willing Spirit's avatar

pretty-red, old guy's avatar

. . . "Hey Siri Where are you?!"

and

"Please call my phone!"

I'm going to rig a blue tooth alarm to my wife's iPhone so it can be found like those TV Remote locators. But, it must have its OWN batteries. Half the time she let's the batteries die and it won't even answer. Last time we found it in a card board box in the garage. . .

Truth Seeker's avatar

There is no good reason to have a cell phone if one cannot remember to charge it every night. Iphone already have a find it feature built in.

I found one in the road on the way home. The owner called and knew exactly my location within a foot.

SHug's avatar

Actually, on an iphone you can use the "Find My" app to share your&wife's phone locations. Or just add an Air Tag into her phone case. LOL!

Truth Seeker's avatar

have always valued organization that definitely helps

Recently organized my rolling tool box. Wasn't too bad

however still an improvement.

David Nelson's avatar

That's actually the THIRD thing I learned they didn't tell me: when you retire, you are so old, so so is all the stuff you COLLECTED in your pile, and like you, it's already on the edge of breaking into a million pieces, which they proceed to do, 3 or 6 at a time. No problem, you just go to fix them, like you've always done--but at a higher frequency now--and THEN you discover--MAR-A-LAGO!!--that EVEN YOUR TOOLS ARE OLD--AND THEY BREAK TOO! while you're trying to FIX BROKEN stuff already, adding to the BROKEN pile, and to the To-Do List! No. If you have the CHOICE: save your sanity: don't retire.

Willing Spirit's avatar

It is a blessing! And my retirement life is so full,I find myself wondering how I managed to fit in work all those years.

TriTorch's avatar

You mentioned that at one point somewhere, so I went with a teacher retirement theme. Even if they don’t remember anything about the lesson, I am sure they remember you.

At the time I did this, the extreme climate hype was not a thing. We taught actual science and tried to engage the kids into getting interested in the natural world. Luckily, I got to write a lot of my own materials. I had a whole class on poison ivy in which I brought a live plant in and showed the kids. We talked about how to identify it along with some other look-alikes. We then went out in the woods to look for real plants and the kids were yelling “ that is “ and “ that isn’t” poison ivy. It was great. I still miss those days. I also taught astronomy and would bring a telescope out under the field. Most of these kids had never seen another planet with their own eyes. I just love that time in my life, it was so happy.

Truth Seeker's avatar

Brilliant, was thinking of college level or beyond.

Now to the super bowl for that is what it was(small) and half time show. This being 250 years of our great Country what a wasted opportunity not to celebrate this and give us all cause to reflect on our history and the journey that has brought us to this point. The lives that have been sacrificed, the wonderful contributions of our Armed Forces and the millions who were immigrants and more who were born here keeping the bright light of our Constitution and Bill of Rights a shining beacon for all to see. Instead we had to be content to be exposed to more negativity and pure unadulterated tripe. What a wonderful positive feeling such a show would be.

AND.. this is not the first rodeo of the nfl treating us to this garbage/entertainment. Maybe it is ourselves who continue to watch and support the nfl

I wonder.

And Kid Rock’s last song🥲✝️

Rightly So's avatar

It made me, "stern 'ol dad," actually shed a tear down my cheek which I quietly tried to sweep away - before getting "busted" by my family. And then we ALL laughed at the beauty of the moment. Thank you, Jesus! MAGA! And Rock on, Kid Rock!

Dan (100% All in MAGA)'s avatar

I did not watch 1 second of the NFL's racist super bowl nor reprobate "bad bunny's" indecent "show" - what a loser. I didn't know who won until this morning and just by chance in a headline.

I did watch TP's All American Show. It was fabulous, and had over 5 Million viewers at the peak, on their Youtube channel alone. If Nard's number of 25 Million is correct, that is phenomenal - well done America!

And you are right, Kid's last song was outstanding, "Until you Can't" (originally performed, wonderfully, by Cody Johnson) and especially the last verse he added to the already great song.

I did hear from a friend who said they (nfl) started with pandering for USA's 250th Birthday coming up and then went full on woke thereafter - not surprised.

UPDATE: Multiplier for Warner done! (Jeff, do you know if Warner was forced to take the poison vax?)

Cousin Clem's avatar

I didn't watch one second of the Super Bowl at all and haven't ever. I can't think of a bigger waste of time than watching two corporation's purchases give each other brain damage.

Dan (100% All in MAGA)'s avatar

It totally freed up my Sunday's, and Mondays, and Thursdays! I can honestly say I have not missed the nfl one little bit.

Donna in MO's avatar

It's kind of bittersweet for me. KC Chiefs were my team and we were even season ticket holders for a time and suffered through some really bad years. I do like the sport, although it was turning into death by a thousand cuts, and the take a knee was the last straw. But do miss the parties, the tailgating, the esprit de corps of gathering with friends from all walks of life and political leanings to unite over something. That all ended with Kaepernick. Part of the long march through the institutions that has taken a lot away from the things that used to bring us all together.

Donna in MO's avatar

Same! I do have friends send me clips from various shows that I sometimes take time to watch but I just see sitting in front of a TV for hours on end as a waste of time. Oh my hubby still watches some, and I will catch bits here and there, and occasionally a big story will have me tune in. And do watch the debates.

Dan (100% All in MAGA)'s avatar

I used to be a huge Cowboys fan. I stopped cold turkey - like many Americans - after 2017's disgrace and have never watched the NFL again. I put a new "F" in NFL...

Dan (100% All in MAGA)'s avatar

I hope TP makes the All American Show an annual happening and it just gets bigger and bigger and eventually the nfl just starts playing it instead! ;-)

RJ Rambler's avatar

Maybe just do a show and scratch the NFL entirely

I honestly miss it as it is one of my best memories of my Dad. Never thought we'd give up football but 2017 ☠️

Andrew Jones's avatar

Donald Trump was the owner of a USFL team in the eighties; the USFL sued the NFL under antitrust law, and won a $3 (sic) judgement. I wouldn’t be surprised if there is still some bad blood between the NFL and President Trump.

Hey Cousin Clem…. You just gave homage to an amazing scientist, Bennet Omalu American physician, forensic pathologist, and neuropathologist who was the first to discover and publish findings on football concussions defined as chronic traumatic encephalopathy in American football players… the first doctor who not only noticed football franchises completely ignored repetitive concussion caused irreversible brain damage … but did something about it….

Cousin Clem's avatar

I recall the film with Will Smith about him. It seemed for a while that the NFL was actually addressing this but now, all appears very quiet. I think they gave the players "new and improved" helmets but other than that, they are still smashing their heads into each other and, I'm sure, still incurring brain damage. It's as short career to play football before your body and mind are destroyed.

When my now three grown sons were still at home, we were avid Seahawks fans and cheered them on to their first magnificent Super Bowl win against the Broncos and Peyton Manning. Then their was the following years fall. What a turn of events. What really turned me off was Communist Comrade Kapernick and the take a knee movement! That ended my NFL viewing. Since that event, the NFL has only grown more political (BLM, LGBT etc. ad nauseum). So many of my family lament together the same theme: why can't we just watch good ole football like it used to be played.? They continue to change so many rules for playing the game, and too many of the players look like hoodlums!

One thing evident in this year's Super Bowl: the NFL has no regard for America, the fan base, or our American family values. Their target is now the world, they are going after the international market.

I could care less about the Seahawks or football now. I did watch the TPUSA event and was so thankful for the wonderful presentation (although i must honestly say I might be too "old" for some of it's style). The last song by Kid Rock brought the house down though!. Tears.

Dan (100% All in MAGA)'s avatar

Excellent. You are spot on, the NFL does not give a damn about it's American audience because they know they really blew it and a good lot of us have said to hell with them with their liberal racism and hate of the country which provided them with their opportunity.

So now they suck up to others in South America and Central America to try and keep their audience numbers up. But they will never supplant their football (we call it soccer). Their pandering with the "bad bunny" abomination and spanish language half time was deeply disgusting.

The NFL is full of global "elite" who are part of the dying NWO. Good riddance to all of them.

Here's Kid Rock's song again, its awesome, I hope it gets to #1:

When YouTube broadcasts Live Shows that will draws many millions of viewers it funnels around 5-6 million viewers per server to the bank of servers dedicated to that particular Live Show. One server(s) cannot handle 10s of millions of viewers at a time. So, to mitigate continuity of service for the millions who tune in and continue to tune in over time, this is the process.

FreeBird07's avatar

Jeannie Harshbarger's avatar

Dan, I don't know him personally, but from hearing him talk in different interviews here in OH by fellow freedom fighters, I highly doubt that he had any jabs. Surely sad to hear. Praying for him.

Dan (100% All in MAGA)'s avatar

Jeannie,

It's likely he did not get these particular poisonous jabs. But what about others? If you read RFK, Jrs book, "The Real Anthony Fauci", you will find that big pharma and our "public health agencies" have been in bed with each other since at least 1985, doing harm to world. Gates and Fauci have done grave damage over the time from then until now. There must be accountability, but I'm worried there wont be. President Trump is our only hope, him and his team. If we dont get accountability during his term, we never will.

Anyhow, I do hope Warner is able to beat this disease, I have no knowledge of him but I do believe Jeff and I'm so proud to be part of the C&C team which stepped up, again.

Excellent, beautiful, and glorious TPUSA production of their halftime show! Let's hope it, too, becomes a tradition.

LuAnne's avatar

We watched the TPUSA show. It was good considering they only had 2-3 months to plan it. They said this morning they're going to put on another super bowl show in 2027. That gives them a full year to plan it and with some experience under their belts now, it should be really great.

Susan Seas's avatar

I thought it was good and I also did not know any of those performers. I’m not much of a country music fan. And I think I only know one song of Kid Rock‘s but that said I would’ve rather watched paint dry than the SB halftime show! So I was impressed by it.

LuAnne's avatar

Except for Kid Rock, we didn't know the other performers, either. The blonde woman was really good. The first band played music that was part country western, part rap, part Christian, and part rock & roll. Haha. My husband & I realized how far behind we are in current music. We're still listening to music from the 70s thru early 2000's.

Susan Seas's avatar

Yes, I am quite happy to stick to the 70s and 80s music and completely ignore the cultural trend.Haha

Skeptical Actuary's avatar

I've actively tried to find newer rock music and not had much luck. For example, try a youtube search "rock mix 2010s" - nothing comes up that's any good.

I need to branch out to country and contemporary Christian, I guess.

Susan Seas's avatar

I love contemporary Christian. Lots of good stuff, current favorite is Lauren Daigle.

🌱Nard🙏's avatar

The best music…

SHug's avatar

The 70's had THE BEST music - and it was before auto-tune!

Skeptical Actuary's avatar

The 60s and 80s had a lot of good stuff too.

I recently found myself listening to a mix of "groovy" 60s music on youtube and started smiling a lot, even though it was before my time (I was born in 1964). I got there by looking for Manfred Mann's "Quinn the Eskimo".

Music definitely started drying up by the 90s. Collective Soul, Coldplay, and Imagine Dragons are about the only bands that I like that have started since then.

Camille Swanson's avatar

I thought it was awesome and in addition to Kid Rock’s (Robert Ritchie) last song I loved the addition of Antonio & Allison on the Cello and Violin…absolutely beautiful!

Jeff S's avatar

Top 'o the morn, Nard. I watched the game on a stream from Britain. All Brit commercials. Different.

Free in Florida's avatar

Nard - My husband also checked in on his iPad occasionally to get the score but we didn’t watch the game. We did tune in to TPUSA’s half time show. It was terrific - good music, staging and uplifting, just the way it should be.

The NFL lost my husband when they started kneeling and he has never gone back. And they continue to “do stupid.”

Skenny's avatar

Because I like football, the super bowl is difficult to watch, in part due to the extended halftime. I saw a post that said that a superbowl halftime show is equivalent to inserting a short football game into the middle of a concert.

I also saw a Bo Jackson interview where he said players should celebrate at the end of the game, if they win, not after every play. Classy.

But the primary reason for this post is to note that Kenneth Walker III is the first running back to win the super bowl MVP in 28 years! I had to Google him to see that he played two years at Wake Forest, transferred to Michigan State for his third year, then declared early before his senior year, and was taken 41st overall by the Seahawks in the 2022 draft.

Kenneth rushed for 135 yards in the game and added 26 receiving yards. No taunting. No showboating. As Bo would say, just doing his job. Very well. Classy.

🌱Nard🙏's avatar

He was incredible (I watched the fourth quarter.) that meme was hilarious!

Guy White's avatar

The pregame flyover by the joint formation of Air Warriors was probably the best part. How often do you see a B-1 “Bone” in full afterburner? The noise was spectacular, truly “the Sound of Freedom.” The game itself, meh. I watched the first half with detached bemusement, tuned into TPUSA’s wonderful performances, and then switched over to Puppy Bowl XXII. It was far more interesting, entertaining and enjoyable. 🐶

Please research Dr. William Makis, currently in Canada (where they have taken his medical license away) but soon to be living in Florida, where he recently received a medical license and will be opening a cancer clinic. He has been curing thousands of people worldwide with Ivermmectin, Fenbendazole and a few other things. It appears almost all cancers are curable with these meds, including many in stage 4.

Dave aka Geezermann's avatar

I followed Dr Makis on his Substack. I knew he was persecuted in Canada. I'm glad to know he will have a practice in FL.

Aegeandreams's avatar

Wow, fantastic news. Dr. Makis is so loved and respected! Thank you for this update Lindy.

News I just found out. Hochul has approved MAID service in NY.

AJF's avatar

Just found out it's approved in my State (Vermont)!!! Going to look into WHO decided this was a good idea?!!

Aegeandreams's avatar

We already know its a libtard but which one.

AJF's avatar

Approved by Democrat Peter Schumlin in 2016 IF one has a terminal illness and less than 6 months to live and had to be a resident of Vermont. Our Republican governor Phil Scott changed the residency requirement in 2023 I believe, so anyone with a terminal illness can come here to get MAiD. I think you do not have to have a terminal illness in Canada. Big surprise 🙄

Susan Seas's avatar

Please tell us what MAID is.

JB's avatar

Medical Assistance in Dying - MAiD. "Legalized" human euthanasia. Otherwise known as, evil incarnate, the other end of abortion, murder, etc.. In Can where it has been federally approved for a while now, they keep widening the reasons and qualifications for why you might be offered this "option" by your "medical provider".

Juju's avatar

I thought I read something recently, maybe it was up in Canada? I can’t remember now. Where a husband was able to dispose of his wife this way but she didn’t want to do it. It’s so evil

Karen Bandy's avatar

Yes, I read that too. So evil. The doctor agreed with the husband who admitted he was basically tired of taking care of her.

AJF's avatar

Yes, they tell you the names of the drugs online!

Marsha Madigan MD MPH's avatar

Death with Dignity is another term for it. MI, WA, OR, CA, I believe all have those laws, and probably other states also. As a former physician who dealt with death and dying, I am in favor of the option being available to any terminally ill patient of sound mind, with corroboration by two physicians, with advance planning. I personally have two friends who opted to use the Death with Dignity option, due to intractable pain and certain decline. The families in both cases were grateful that this option was available and that they could say goodbye gracefully.

However, what they are apparently advocating for and using in Canada, directing mentally disturbed teens and others who are not terminally ill to use this process, is unconscionable.

Susan Seas's avatar

Murder with a cherry on top. I understand thinking about it when you are terminally ill (my Dad died on hospice so I’ve been there) but I believe death is Gods timing and no one else’s.

Karen Bandy's avatar

I have a friend’s husband here in Oregon who’s looked into it. It’s a long process and not like MAID. Incurable cancer, so far hanging on for 10 years, now in his liver, and prostate, but that may be a different kind of cancer in his prostate. He’s 70.

Marsha Madigan MD MPH's avatar

Karen, that's the story of the two friends of mine that used it. It was a lengthy process to get approval, which gives time for second thoughts, and they both had incurable cancer and were near the end, intractable pain and organ failure, with no further options. We can give the gift of euthanasia to our dear pets, why do we insist humans have to suffer til the end? I haven't studied MAID but it sounds more like the Canadian law, where people may be pushed into it against common sense. I'm not in favor of that at all.

Karen Bandy's avatar

I guess he looked into it, and has met with a palliative care doctor but hasn’t mentioned it lately. His mind is still good, but his body is failing. It must be hell for him.

I know it’s hard on his wife, my best friend.

RunningLogic's avatar

Assisted suicide if I’m not mistaken.

Aegeandreams's avatar

Canada has it already. Medical Assistance in Dying.

Sherry 1's avatar

Medical Assistance In Dying. MAID. In Canada, meant for end of life, terminally ill, very little time left and great pain. They (sick gov/docs) turned it into a way to not have to keep spending SOCIAL Medicine dollars on Palliative Care and others made it profitable by letting the mentally ill, depressed, just wanna go people have access to it. They are making money off the ORGANS. Worse than China.

Cabogirl's avatar

Good luck friends.

PS: I got my fenben powder from Happy Healing in NC. It made it through Canada customs.

India Mart manufacturers sell ivermectin and Fenbendazole at a FRACTION of the cost tho.

Also: the "human" form of Fenbendazole is mebendazole. Clinical studies "show promise" as a repurposed drug for CANCER. (FDA approved since 1987. Fenbendazole since 1970's.

By the way: MOST drugs approved for "human use" are first tested on animals. Most veterinarians know that... Many humans want the drug approved for "human use", not understanding that there's one molecule of difference between Fenbendazole (Pancur C etc) and mebendazole.

Research "mebendazole clinical studies cancer".

I believe Florida's Governor has approved over 60 million for new studies of ivermectin & Fenbendazole, "repurposed" for cancer.

Un me, just wanted to share: a few years ago I was part of a team attempting to educate our congressmen and senators in our state about homeopathic remedies. Hundreds of people across the country were doing the same in the their states, and we could all communicate with each other on large zoom type meetings. Hundreds of personal stories about being cured of things allopathic docs had given up on. So, we prepared our speeches to (mostly) interns of our elected officials. Guess what 2 things we weren't ALLOWED to talk about? Cancer and vaccines! Hmmm wonder why? Could it be these 2 bring in the highest profits for pharma? The reason we were given is that alternatives could prevent people from getting "life saving care!" What a crock of you know what. At this point I'm just hoping that more people are actually waking up. I have 2 twelve to dogs that are incredibly healthy and active due to fenben, homeopathic remedies and tinctures. Also I make them good food. Oh and I'm old and healthy, thank the Lord🙏🏻

@Deb that happened to a family member also. Something about needing an agent to get the medications from Canada to the US. Then the “agent” kept calling and wanting increasing amounts of money to make that happen. There have been many scam sites that have nothing to do with him. I have been in contact with his office and have paid the fees, which my husband and I found to be very reasonable. They have been back in contact with me with intake forms and timing to be expected for my husband’s protocol. Additionally, I am sent and review about 15 case histories and updates every week on various forms of cancer and success stories. Often these cases involve both traditional treatments and Dr. Makis’ protocol and sometimes only his protocol.

You are entitled to your opinion, certainly, but our experience has been very different and based on direct communication with his office.

An Uplifting and Inspiring Story By Mr.Wayne

I once drove Uber on the night shift. You meet all kinds. Drunks, lovers, tired nurses. At 2 AM, I picked up a guy from a hospital.

He got in the back, looking shell-shocked. Didn't say a word. We drove in silence for ten minutes. Then I heard a sniffle. I glanced in the rearview.

He was staring out the window, tears streaming down his face. "Rough night?" I asked quietly. "My wife," he choked out. "She just... the cancer. She's gone."

My heart stopped. I turned off the meter. "I'm not taking you home yet," I said. He looked up, confused. "What?" "You can't go to an empty house right now. Not yet."

I pulled into an all-night diner. "Come on. Coffee and pie. On me." He hesitated, then nodded. We sat in that booth for three hours. He told me about her laugh. How they met. How she hated peas. I just listened.

When I finally dropped him off at 6 AM, the sun was coming up. He shook my hand. "Thank you," he said. "For not making me be alone in the dark."

I didn't make a dime that night. But it was the most important drive of my life.

Delightful Designs's avatar

My mom, who I lived with, had a bad stroke in January 2025 (she died of it a few months ago) and was in a hospital 50 miles away through a rural area. Driving back at night (leaving one of my siblings there overnight) was hell. WAY too much dark, WAY too much time to think and fear, and freak out. At the deepest, darkest part of the run, in the middle of nowhere, there was a business that kept their really extensive Christmas lights up for the whole month of January. They saved me from the dark. When it was the worst in my head... there they were, lit up like an airport, and it gave me a touch point to tell myself it's not too far now, I'm past the halfway point, I can hold out longer. I sent them a thank you card for their lights, told them they had NO IDEA how much it helped me to not be alone in the dark in the darkest hours of my life.

Aegeandreams's avatar

I am sorry your Mom is not with you here on Earth anymore. There is a void left in so many hearts when Moms leave us. We are never the same again. Knowing she is with our Lord also gives you Light in the darkness of death. Prayers to you and your family and may all your memories give you the comfort you need.

Delightful Designs's avatar

I learned things from it.... I had heard of people seeing purple spots when they are driving too exhausted... They are real. They were in the center of my vision, so I had to watch through the sides of my view. Scary as hell. It was a VERY cold night, below zero, I couldn't stop for a break, even if there had been someplace to stop (which there is not) as I was so tired I feared falling asleep in the car and freezing. That was an incredibly bad night.

Got to the house, discovered that for reasons, one of my sisters had taken the house key off my key ring. I have a stash key, but it is far away from the door, and the snow was deep. I called the neighbor who had a key, asked her to come let me in, and stood on the step and cried and tried to stay standing up until she got there. When I got in, I heard a water leak under the house spraying, I said some obscenities at it and ignored it, it had been spraying for who knows how long, aint gonna get a whole lot worse before morning. Went straight to bed. That was the ending of the worst day of my life so far. It just got worse and worse and worse.... Purple spots were just gravy on top of it all.

OK and now because we need something lighthearted. My son was driving our car for Uber for a while. My dad had been in the hospital and when it was time to take him home. The nurse told me to go get my car and meet them at the front so I pulled up and of course it was a different young nurse who had had pushed him in wheelchair and my Dad said “oh my Uber‘s here!”The look on the Nurse‘s face was pure panick because she cannot send him home in a Uber. I looked at her and said he’s joking. I’m his daughter! She said oh my gosh. 😂

The fact that your stories pull so many tears from me is a testament to our times. In an appropriate and healthy society a story like this should feel normal, and invoke maybe a smile and an affirming nod. “Yes, that’s how it’s done.”But these days people are so wrecked, that just a story about a simple act of kindness brings us to gushing tears, it’s so rare, so foreign, so unusual, so … needed.

Love the C&C multiplier but as I'm running an alternative cancer clinic in Scottsdale AZ, I have to ask what is the treatment plan? The NIH.gov has published that chemotherapy in a stage 4 cancer has a greater than 90% chance of failure. Greater than 90% chance of failure! A recent patient just sent us a video of his experience of being sent home from a major cancer hospital as there was nothing that they could do for him. He came to us at Dayspring Cancer Clinic and last December was declared NED (No Evidence of Disease) through a PET scan. Quite remarkable. Going to a hospital for cancer care is like going to public school expecting to get educated.

I'll offer him a consultation if he wants. Please have him call 480-699-7400

Check out these nuggets from EKO on Bad Bunny.

https://ekolovesyou.com/p/who-paid-for-bad-bunny

In particular:

“Bad Bunny canceled his 2025 US tour. Said ICE might target his fans at concerts. At the Grammys he told America “ICE out.” The man whose career was funded by a Chávez regime insider, whose classmates trafficked cocaine with terrorists, armed militants, and carry combined federal bounties north of $50 million, wants you to believe immigration enforcement is the danger.

The NFL vetted this.”

EKO got his info here:

https://scrivorium.substack.com/p/bad-bunny-bad-business-the-nfls-monumental

On another note - I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Warner Mendenhall a few times. Hubs and I ran into him near downtown Akron a couple of years ago. Had a lovely chat. More than happy to donate.

Aegeandreams's avatar

Yes, BB is a lowlife. I did not watch the Super Bowl as I refused to watch something that supported a POS and the NFL that chose and promoted that POS.

Abiding Dude's avatar

I think BB must have given Roger Goodell a "Dirty Sanchez".

Susan Seas's avatar

I also saw that he has deleted his entire Instagram posts.

RunningLogic's avatar

Yup, a perfect example of people protesting ICE who are benefiting from illegal immigration. Wonder what else he’s getting out of it??

I read that last night. VERY informative.

Abiding Dude's avatar

Says LOT about the vile and corrupt POS Commish of the NFL... Cockroach Goodell.

I read that the afro-turd WR Stefon Diggs turned his back on the national Anthem... supporting the idea that many blacks are the most racist and anti-American scum on earth... "END RACISM", Goodell's favorite... is such BS!

I've got a suggestion for "Democratic Governors Everywhere": hold your own damned dinner in DC!

And SIGNAL YOUR HIGH-MINDED BI-PARTISAN VIRTUE, by inviting Trump, who spurned you, and ALL Republican governors, who laughed at you, and ABOVE ALL by PAYING FOR IT out your own well-greased, not your taxpayers', pockets.

THAT would get our attention...

Melissa S's avatar

During the early months of the Covid era, some of the western governors had meetings about how to orchestrate their response. Newsom, Newsom wannabe governor Sisolak from Nevada, and governors from Washington, Oregon, and Colorado joined together. All democrats and purposefully rejected and excluded Republican governors participation. I'm sure they didn't talk at all about mail-in ballots and anything having to do with the November election....

Aegeandreams's avatar

Glad he spurned them. Who wants to hear their inane BS.

The number watching dumbass bunny is inflated by the people, like me, who put the halftime show on their phone, muted, so that when bunny finished and the game started again, we would know. I watched TPUSA’s show on the tv. So, people were tuned in to bunny, but watching the other show.

Susan Seas's avatar

I agree with you! Most of those people left the TV on and went in the kitchen for more snacks! 😂 we had TPUSA’s on three devices 🤣🤣🤣

FLGenX's avatar

I thought about that and literally turned it off. I know that’s silly because it’s just one TV among millions, but I didn’t want any part of supporting it.

LogicFirst's avatar

Same for us. We were recording the game for a relative and it will seem like we watched. But we switched over as soon as halftime started.

David Shaffer's avatar

Same for our house.

Donna in MO's avatar

I saw a post (after it was too late) that was recommending turning off the TV and then turning it back on for the TPUSA show so that the smart TVs would not record the halftime show as a 'view'. In our case we have a dumb TV so we changed the channel to OAN (hubby still insists on paying for Dish) and watched it there. No idea if we got counted or not??

Abiding Dude's avatar

So sad that TPUSA, which could have been a remarkable benefit... has been taken over by zionists, including the craven "grieving" C-list actress Diva Erika Kirk and the Zio-pig turd Ben Shapiro.

Charlie, who was just beginning to come out against the Israeli mass-slaughter in Gaza and the Mossad involvement in the Epstein Extortion Operation... and had just refused many millions in zionist bribes... had to go.

Sue Kelley's avatar

Same. Had the bowl on 2 tvs, everyone left for the tpusa show in the other room. I saw he wasn't in a dress( chickened out?) but left after that.

Phillip Zinni III DO FAOASM's avatar

We turned off the stupor bowl (so as not to be counted) and tuned into TPUSA AAHTS. When it finished, turned back on the toilet bowl. Sadly, the ads weren't even redeeming, accept Tyson, Pro-ICE, Kurt Russel and Bud.

Essay33's avatar

We actually turned off Peacock so that we wouldn't be considered viewers during halftime. We also watched the TPUSA show via DailyWire+ and I don't know that their viewership gets counted with the rest. There were a lot more people than I've ever seen on DW's stream.

Robert Neumuller Jr's avatar

I was afraid to do that because of the mistiming beteen the game and the alternative show.

I have lived in Japan for three decades. My Western friends and relatives have been here longer. The Muslimification of my neighborhood alongside a national university has vastly increased the last 15 years. I do not appreciate the call to prayer speakers nor the relative importations of people ill-adapted, and resistant to, Western civilization.

Aegeandreams's avatar

Borders have to be up. Muslims need to stay in their own countries where they are more comfortable. Most are not built to accept our culture.

Susan Seas's avatar

If we didn’t have borders, there would be no Olympics 🤔

Muslims won’t ever stay in their own countries because their faith teaches them to spread throughout the earth, invade foreign lands, and subjugate every soul to Islam. The difference between them and Christianity is they don’t leave the choice up to you

Aegeandreams's avatar

We don't let any in. simple.

RunningLogic's avatar

The call to prayer thing really really ticks me off!!! It’s loud and obnoxious and forces people to listen to a religion they don’t adhere to! And the stupid argument that it is just like church bells ringing makes me even angrier! 😡 It’s not the same AT ALL!!

Jeff, hope you see this: Regarding your friend, Warner Mendenhall, it could be in his best interest to search out "Thomas Seyfried PhD". He is brilliant and unfortunately sequestered, in the "green room".

Having walked the stage IV walk, with an abysmal prognosis, I'm still here talking about it, 14 years later. I had to take measures into my own hands, knowing the "standard of care" would certainly bury me. I discovered Seyfried's thesis, before I ever heard of him. Now there are 1000s of published papers on his theories. I'm a believer.. (sung in The Monkee's version)

Pat Wetzel's avatar

I also walked away from the "standard of care". And I'm still here. But I sure could use thrat $200,000 back! People have zero comprehension of the costs of cancer (not just the financial ones either)

Mykool's avatar

It's big business, which (nearly) always favors the business model over the human condition.

Pat Wetzel's avatar

I often wonder : What if search had been written by women? stay with me on this. Men are naturally hierarchical and so is search. They are inclined to rank everything, often at the expense of the intangibles that make life so rich. They're more transactional. It's all neither here nor there, but the online world IMO fails to reflect a pretty big piece of society. What's new though!

Mykool's avatar

True. Maybe also that many people, including research hounds, are neurally mono-hemispheric, as to forming hypotheses i.e. Pragmatism over potential intangibles. Engage the hemisphere, opposite of pragmatic and the world becomes less monochromatic.

My customers don't spend over $5000 on their Cancer. $2000 for my seminar to find out what causes it and $1000 to $3000 on supplements & miscellaneous. Once you understand the 5 causes, Cancer is a "no brainer". It's VERY simple. No one has to pay a doctor $300,000 unless they are just stupid.

Abiding Dude's avatar

What protocol did you follow, of you don't mind...??

Seyfried's stuff is interesting, but seems to exclude the growing evidence that Ivermectin, Fenbendazole, Artemisinin and Chlorine Dioxide Solution (CDS) are very effective against most cancers...

Has to be more to his stuff than a Ketogenic diet... yes?

Pat Wetzel's avatar

This was 2017. After SIX YEARS (stop and try to imagine that) of treatment, bill, lost friends and social isolation, I just walked away. I went traveling. I decided to just go enjoy life and see what happens.

Today, I eat well (low glycemic real food), drink seldom and meditate daily. After all of this, I'm done with medicine. Add to that an ex-surgeon husband, and the stories I can tell! In summary: The "worst" that can happen may be inevitable anyway. (Ultimately it is!) And I personally absolutely believe in an existence beyond this life. I don't just believe; I KNOW. Probably not what people want to hear, but making peace with death really opens up your life.

I experimented with several, i.e. Budwig, Gerson, Warburg, etc. I started to read Otto Warburg's work, from WW2. I believe he was about an inch (the length of Tony Fauci's spine) from a complete cancer therapy model. He was missing the the amino acid, "glutamine", in the model. Cancer does not utilize oxidative phosphorylation. It ferments its "food". There are only 2 fermentable fuel sources that humans encounter: Glucose and glutamine...that's it. Control those, cancer dies. Cancer is a disease of the mitochondria, according to Thomas Seyfried.

Regarding the drugs you mentioned, I believe they have a place, but I always search cause before cure.

Laura Barrett's avatar

I believe all disease that results in the disregulation of the immune system whether it’s cancer or multiple sclerosis is a disease of the mitochondria. I healed my diseased mitochondria, and my multiple sclerosis went away. I’m currently strengthening the energetic nerve connections to finish regaining function that I’ve lost over two decades of being “sick”.

Mykool's avatar

Hi Laura, I believe the same. I'm very happy to hear that you are journeying to health. Cancer is tricky, as to why it gains "turf" in the body. Some speculate that T cells and NK cells decline and cannot "see" the tumors (maybe due to to suppressor cells)

Anyway sounds like you found your path..

Abiding Dude's avatar

I wonder if Seyfried give any credence to the parasite theory of cancer...??

If not, why would anti-parasite supps like Ivermectin, fenbendazole and artemisinin has such success in treatment?

Would the two approaches not potentially work REALLY well together??

https://www.bitchute.com/video/YKpbNPPBBThH

Mykool's avatar

That's a good probability. I can't speak for Seyfried, but believe he approaches from a point of view, which seeks to starve the cancer cells. Glucose is fairly simple to control, Glutamine is complex. There is a compound called, "6-Diazo-5-oxo-L-norleucine", which can be used to temporarily "pulse" down glutamine levels

Getting news stories and giving a profound twist on them takes talent. Writing in a way that draws people in and gives them a different perspective takes talent. Sharing that talent with us Jeff is generosity.

There is wisdom in learning that how we spend our time is one of the most important aspects in our lives. When you come to the reality that our days are numbered, that we only have so many, and that sharing our talents and our time with others is about the best thing in life we can do, it’s a true symbol of generosity to others.

Wisdom is realizing that wasting our days and being lazy will one day come back to us and we will be looked down on.

I’ve come to a point in my life where I will go out of my way to help someone. I look at it as an opportunity that benefits me. That may sound off but it truly isn’t. Each week in our life, when we have the opportunity to help or teach someone, we should act on it.

No matter our God given talents big or small we should all be expected to be diligent and generous according to our abilities to help others. Our talents should be displayed and used to not only benefit you but benefit others as well. Good stewardship of our talents God has given us, is sharing them with the people around us. We should realize the talents and the time given to us as a gift that is meant to build much more than just our own life. When we are generous with our time we will be blessed with much more than what we get from this life. We should understand we are helping to build our world, yes, but we are also building a Kingdom. J.Goodrich

Thank you JG for another generous dose of wisdom. Reading your post, all these different Bible verses (primarily from the NT) came to mind that affirm and encourage what you suggest, too many to list here at the moment. And of course Jesus Himself spoke of our responsibility to be good stewards of whatever we’ve been given in the Parable of the Talents.

“And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.” (‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭14‬ ‭NIV‬‬). P.S. if you need a good ear worm for the day, listen to Glen Campbell singing “Try A Little Kindness.” I remember that song from my childhood and can remember every word to this day.
