Pretty sure they're both our enemies. But at least we can get a coherent response from the foreign one...

I would be more worried about China than Russia.

Of on a tangent, but I'm more worried about our Senate, than China or Russia. Once you start down that road, its endless.

Putin opposes globalism. So that's one point in his favor.

Kathleen, Russia made overtures to the West after the collapse of the Soviet Union. They even wanted to join NATO. They were laughed at by the neocons who saw big opportunities for exploitation as like Ukraine. But now they realize that the jokers running our foreign policy are not to be trusted. We’ve broken every agreement with them for the past 30 years so they’re done with us. They’ve pivoted to the East and now yes they see the US as their enemy. But it didn’t have to be this way. So sad.

I'm worried about China, too. Also, I worry about the people running the country. I'm just saying, don't discount Russia as our enemy.

All the things we've been doing all over the world has given us many enemies. And the way our "leaders" have acted here at home has exacerbated the issue. We're ruled by despots and the world hates us (I would say, "With good reason," but maybe that's a bridge too far?)

The world hates us because the US has been the bully in the schoolyard.

Nothing like putting economic sanctions on countries because the US doesn't like how they "behave."

When countries saw Russia kicked out of the Swift banking system, Russian assets seized, the smaller countries thought, "Gee, if that can happen to a country like Russia that has nuclear weapons, what will the US do to us?"

Russia has never been our enemy since the collapse of the ussr. Except inthe brains of the fucking idiots in the letter agencies, and politicians wanting the vote. But 70 years of indoctrination is a difficult thing to dispel.

I don't know... I'm suspicious of any world leader that locks up his political opponents or has them poisoned or shoots their plane out of the sky. Russia (I've been, btw, and it was kind of a sad place, even 20 years ago) may not be after us, but they're allied with China and Iran and those two certainly don't want good for the US. So I observe and tuck away the information I obtain. I don't trust them.

Honestly, I think we should revamp our foreign policy and get out of the world's business. Everyone will say that's not feasible, but I think it is. We have an unbelievable array of natural and economic resources at our fingertips; we're the most innovative people in the world. I'd really like to see everyone come home, shut the door, and work on cleaning up our own house. Let the rest of the world sort itself out.
