Yesterday I saw this Xcellent post on X:

"So let me get this straight…

A bartender can go to prison for serving drinks to a drunk person if they drive and murder someone—

…but judges aren’t accountable after letting a 14 TIME REPEAT OFFENDER murder a young woman?"

Jacquijacq's avatar

I read on line that the judge who continually released him owns the halfway house that he goes to before he goes back on the street! So she’s making $ off his continual releases!!

P Flournoy's avatar

Seems like that would be a conflict of interest considering her position

Lynne Morris's avatar

It is but it works until scrutinized. A few years back there were a couple of juvenile judges who owned (or profited from) private juvenile detention facility they sent kids to; turned out they were sending kids to be institutionalized there for very minor infractions.

Nicki's avatar

….and one of the kids died in the institution. Heartbreaking for his family, especially because he didn’t do anything to warrant the lockup.

Lynne Morris's avatar

I forgot about that. But you are right I think his death is what finally brought the judges' misconduct to light.

Billy Bob's avatar

Certainly our paid representatives didn't bring that criminality to light until forced to!!!

And Biden commuted or pardoned one of the judges (or a very similar crime).

Anne Emerson Hall's avatar

yes, it was those same miscreant judges.

Janet's avatar

Yes. I remember that news. Well, Biden was walking through the wrong doors when President auto pen did it.

Lynne Morris's avatar

Yes. I had to look it up to be sure. It became known as the kids for cash scheme. And Biden did pardon one of them.

Patty's avatar

The most offensive one

Lucerne County, PA. The whole judicial system there was under the federal microscope for many years, weeding out the miscreants within.

Lydia Lozano's avatar

Biden pardoned them.

Skeptical Actuary's avatar

One of those”cash for kids” judges got pardoned in Biden autopen mass pardon.

Willing Spirit's avatar

These judges need some thorough investigation.

The phrase, conflict of interest, doesn't seem to be in the Democrats dictionary or moral code.

Back in '93 or so the Commandant of the Coast Guard came to the air station I was stationed at and told us we were held to the standard of "The appearance of impropriety". If it doesn't look right, don't do it, "we don't want to see something looking bad on 60 Minutes".

Looking around I realize our leaders had/have a different standard to follow..

"Abstain from all appearance of evil."

We learned at a young age that we were not to do anything that could be construed as evil - violating any of God's commandments or instructions for daily living - we were to "avoid even the appearance of evil". I would posit that any conflict of interest, or the appearance thereof, is to be avoided completely.

Mrs. "the Knife"

Angus McPherson's avatar

Some folks seem to see it as "conflict in favor of my interest" Yikes.

Accountability has to be a priority. It must be done under the law, and not under lawfare. That takes time. But it must be done. I for one want to encourage those responsible to keep going.

Billy Bob's avatar

Of course not. They have no code because they are Godless people.

Fred Richmond's avatar

Democrats don't recognize conflict of interest when it pertains to them. Nothing to see here, move along

Austin the Pug-puppy's avatar

I guess if you can own several houses and claim you live in all of them.....all of the time.....anything is possible.....and if you're a Democrat, you can sit "on public transportation, [next to] a murderous maniac with multiple priors who’d recently been released without bail" without a care in the world.

Seems like such a conflict would be well worth investigating. Let the games begin!

shayne's avatar

Huge conflict of interest...

Paul Weiss's avatar

I heard the exact same thing. So, she apparently has had a financial interest in releasing him. This woman needs to be investigated, not just with regard to this particular perpetrator, but every single case in which she released a prisoner needs to be investigated to see if she received some kind of financial benefit. If this is true, and that has yet to be proven, then she not only needs to be removed from her job and disbarred, she needs to be put in prison.

Seeing that photo, just before that evil lunatic murdered that innocent woman sitting on that train is a stark reminder why I EDC everywhere I go - you don't need to advertise by wearing it out in the open, you just need it available at an instant's notice to dispatch - with prejudice - scumbag's like the one that took her life. I urge every one to get something like a Ruger LCP in .380 with good critical defense ammunition - which you can easily carry hidden on your person, train on how to maintain it, how to deploy it- which means to empty your magazine on the SOB and reload, and how to properly respond after. Dont be a victim. Be strong and stand and defend those, like that woman, who did nothing and yet paid with her life.

Dave aka Geezermann's avatar

And sadly, she was completely unaware of her surroundings, wearing earbuds, not paying attention. She was too trusting, and had fallen for the Black Lives Matter psyop it has been shown.

Patti's avatar

I’m not sure this is taught?!! I remember when I was learning to drive my mom said park under a light. Keep your doors locked (back before doors automatically locked) have your keys out and ready before leaving a building to walk to your car. Especially at night but make it a practice. Be mindful. Aware. All these simple safety measures have come in handy. Do parents not teach these things?

AngelaK's avatar

Sit as far front near the driver and exits as possible. If that's racist F/U!

Peace's avatar

Sitting back to the wall would only be an option if the outside seat were available. However, the speed this guy got up and on top of her wouldn't have given but a second or two to react. Maybe enough to scream and get people's attention.

Lynne Morris's avatar

She had no qualms about sitting by him. She was concerned neither over his race nor toxic masculinity. IOW she was neither racist nor misandrist. What a beautiful soul.

Janet's avatar

Thought I read he got on and sat behind her. But people get on public transport and retreat into their little worlds oblivious to surroundings. I’ve probably done that myself.

Lynne Morris's avatar

He was seated when she got on and sat in the row in front of him. I think the lesson to be learned from this is that vigilance is required everywhere and at all times. She was so trusting.

Janet's avatar

Ok. You hear so many versions of this horrifying murder.

Dan (100% All in MAGA)'s avatar

Yeah, that MFer should have been bleeding out, instead of her.

Juju's avatar

Yes they showed in her apartment she had a BLM poster.

But in her defense she did everything a woman who looked like her should do in that present environment: she had her blonde hair tied back and not hanging out. She wore a cap, kept her head down and did not make eye contact. Still it wasn’t enough.

A.M.'s avatar

On the contrary, making eye contact is important. It's a challenge. Keeping your eyes down is submission. Clocking someone with your eyes is often enough to cause them to back down.

Astragale's avatar

Female here.

I disagree.

We need to be aware of everyone around us but making eye contact isn’t a good idea. It can draw the attention of a lunatic or aggressive guy who might otherwise not engage.

God Bless America's avatar

Female here also… It depends on the situation. I like to keep my eyes up and always looking around. It lets them know that I’m watching them! I call it putting on my Referee face…

My brother-in-law got attacked a couple of months ago on a Marta train in Atlanta… He had his headphones on, and was totally unaware until they hit him repeatedly… We will never know if it was a race thing or a gang related thing or some nut job. 😡 The police were no help even though they have the video. That is the second time he’s been attacked in downtown Atlanta. 😡😡😡

Y’all please be careful out there… 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

A.M.'s avatar

Female also. Survived NYC in the 80s, by myself as a bartender at night traveling home through some of the scariest circumstances imaginable. It's pretty simple. Looking down equals submission, Criminals read fear easily. I've traveled Europe and Mexico by myself without trouble--and I'm telling you you have to hold your head high, be aware at all times. You don't want to aggressively confront, no, but you do need to stand your ground.

Mike's avatar

Please, understand that this animal would have killed whoever sat there. He was methodical and waiting for a victim.

Reb's avatar

Yes, she did many wise things except avoiding sketchy-looking people which, sadly, we've been indoctrinated to believe is racist. Would have been better to sit among a group of people that looked connected to normal social behavior.

Patty's avatar

I don’t think it’s fair to victim blame here. She has a right to safely get across town. We spend a great deal of money on security so she can. Sure no one can rely upon the police 100% of the time so we should all have situational awareness but situational awareness doesn’t always work. If he was hell bent on killing her -unless she was armed and trained her outcome wouldn’t have changed.

The judge and prosecutors failed her and his victims and should be held accountable.

Reb's avatar

It's not my intention to victim blame...quite the contrary. Of course everyone has the right to travel and not be killed but that's not reality. My comment and others listed in this thread are an attempt to raise awareness of all things we need to think about to reduce our chances of getting murdered like this poor young woman.

I question that account reporting that too because they use weak-sauce logic that it’s obvious the account is operated by a team because it “consistently remained inactive for exactly six hours each day, from 11 PM to 4 AM. This pattern suggests that an entire team is operating behind the account.” Uh no …. that pattern suggests a single person who sleeps each night operates thar account. 🤣 If that’s one of the primary tells then my account is operated by an entire team. Lmao. I go inactive every night about 11pm until 7am! When I see this kind of convoluted logic it’s a red flag that the accuser is also a targeting account/team. I don’t trust either.

Ok, again I’m going off on a tangent!!!!! I’m currently on a cruise in Norway. Beautiful, awesome and majestic…the ‘French’ tour guy today mentioned that Norway is very safe! One can leave their purse and phone on the bar/table and leave for sometime and come back and it’s still there…then talking to a sales person …and he too from France….he said he fled France because of how unsafe it is, he even mentioned ‘no one’ locks their door! Wake up America!!!!!!

Dave aka Geezermann's avatar

Nancy - Interesting. I have a second cousin who married and moved to Norway, she likes it there. I watch a cooking show called NewScanCook that is based in Norway, and they have shown so many of the various geographic regions, the cruise ships, the fishing, the farms, seems like a beautiful country and good people. France, the UK, Germany and Sweden on the other hand have suffered greatly at the hands of the invading migrants, of a different religion, who do not assimilate and whose allegiance is to a false deity. The natives in those countries are just now realizing that they must rise up en masse and say no to the globalist agenda. In France Macron is on the way out.

Sadly, because she was so unaware of her surroundings no firearm would have saved her.

I think it likely that Ukraine, in spite of the war, does not have the daily personal threats from a feral underclass that she unknowingly faced in North Carolina.

Dan (100% All in MAGA)'s avatar

I dont know, maybe, depends on how quickly one (not her) might react to the situation, meaning trained and ready.

And the other thing to consider is if enough people carry and stop this kind of crap, the criminals will be less willing to do something stupid. "Gun free zones" created by the anti-gun loons are a big part of the problem.

Mike's avatar

OK this is hard to say. I Legally carry in my state and I'm trained. Even if I couldn't line up on this POS prior to the stabbing, he would NEVER have left the bus alive. And nobody would have to deal with his issues, his trial and incarceration etc. ever again. Just the coroner.

Peace's avatar

I haven't seen evidence of anyone even noticing the stabbing incident on the transportation line. Just one guy who ran away - did she yell? Looks like the commotion would've caught someone's attention even out of the corner of their eye.

Willing Spirit's avatar

I wondered too. No one seemed to notice, even with blood dripping off the monster.

SHug's avatar

I believe any area marked "gun free zone" should be accepting liability for anyone's safety in that area and anything which happens in that area.

Jeremiah Davidson's avatar

I agree with Dan, we need people riding the buses and the trains and the subways that are willing and capable to defend people from the violent ones that walk among us. People that are there and aware of what’s going on around them that would’ve stopped that man’s life as soon as he pulled that knife.

Astragale's avatar

Or….zero tolerance policies which jail thugs for a first crime & jail them longer for a 2nd, would create a society where the % who are violent are either IN jail or fear harsh sentencing.

rolandttg's avatar

Of this I am certain. The death penalty, when used, has a zero repeat offender occurrence.

Jeremiah Davidson's avatar

Very good idea Astragale, and then life in prison with no parole for the third serious criminal offense, or perhaps, we should seriously consider that 50 cent solution, since someone like that seems to be irredeemable

… I know that may seem to be harsh on some of these criminals, but we’ve got to put them out of our misery

Double Mc's avatar

The death penalty isn't about us, or the criminal. It's about God. He is so offended by the murder of one of His special creations, that He demands the life of the murderer. In the Old testament, even animals who kill a human must forfeit their life. That's how much we mean to Him.

AZGal55's avatar

Another thing i noticed about this victim is she's sitting there seemingly oblivious to her surroundings. She appears to have on headphones and is looking at her cell phone. You should be able to relax and simply sit in a train minding you own business but sadly we need to be aware of our surroundings and potential danger. Maybe it would have helped. Mayne not. The murder of this young woman simply going about her day until this savage takes her life is heartbreaking and infuriating at the same time.

Dan (100% All in MAGA)'s avatar

Hi Lori,

I suppose it is an option, but at that point, Im not really just interested in maybe incapacitating the SOB, maybe not, depending on how drug influenced he is. I also see byrna as an attack on our 2nd Amendment since it is not a real gun - think that through. But to each his own... and you will probably end up meeting the SOB in a court room too.

Lori's avatar

For those that can't stomach have a murder (albeit justified) on the life and Soul resume, at least it is something to have on hand.

Dan (100% All in MAGA)'s avatar

Its not murder, it is self defense and the defense of others. I will take that in front of the Good Lord and I do not think He will condemn for defending someone else's life. I mean, He's the one that gave us the 2A, not the freakin gov...

Dena's avatar

Big difference between murder & self defense. Bible says do not murder. Though I understand some individuals cannot stomach using our 2A right. Byrna is a good choice.

Mike's avatar

Thank you for correcting that incorrect thought. It's not murder to defend your self or others. SELF DEFENSE IS NOT MURDER!!

Lori's avatar

Some would not want self defense on their resume either but I understand your position and agree completely.

Christopher Burrell's avatar

Where did the Lord impart the 2nd Amendment? What book and verse, please. Also, the 2nd Amendment is codified by the government. I believe your statement to be factually incorrect. Finally, self defense can become murder in excess. As you judge, so shall you also be judged. Sure, it sounds good to gun someone down in self defense or defense of others, but be prepared to be tied up legally for a while.

Karmy's avatar

Dan not all states allow CC. Byrna is a legal option unless you carry illegally and that opens you up to be prosecuted.

Dan (100% All in MAGA)'s avatar

Hi Karmy,

That's not true. From a web search, "No States outright ban the concealed carry of firearms; concealed carry is legal in all 50 states, although regulations vary significantly by state. While some states have more restrictive concealed carry laws than others, and you cannot lawfully carry in all 50 states without encountering some restrictions, a complete ban does not exist."

Some make you get a CC Permit. It pays to know what the rules are in your state for sure. Here in Arizona we have constitutional carry, meaning we can carry without a permit. Most states are "Shall-issue" states meaning they will issue a permit to carry a concealed weapon if the applicant meets the states requirements. Some states have discretionary issue where issuing a permit is up to the discretion of a law enforcement official.

Its probably not surprising that the gun grabbing lunatics in NY, NJ, MA, and HI have the most restrictive laws. I would not live in any of them, ever.

For more info, please see: hjttps://www.NRAILA.ORG/get-the-facts/right-to-carry-and-concealed-carry/

I just personally see more problems with the "Byrna" option and I sure dont like the threat it creates to have lethal firearms, which I am guaranteed because of the 2A. But that's me.

You may also want to read SCOTUS' Heller decision.

Karmy's avatar

Forgive me for not saying all states don’t allow CC easily. I did not say a ban but blue states are restrictive.

Mike's avatar

He's already had what I call the "Byrna Effect"., which is les than lethal. 14 trips to the court 14 easy outs. Thats the Bryna effect in action, almost doing enough to stop the madness.

Lori's avatar

An option for self protection. It is up to the courts now to sentence him to death.

Mike's avatar

I AGREE WITH YOUR PREMISE AND I DO THE VERY SAME!! The issue is in that city., if you are a white "person" and you killed a "black" man in the commission of a murder, you would be held for charges to be developed down the line.RE: Daniel Penny. Stay strapped!

P Flournoy's avatar

I have a Smith & Wesson 38 special but it kills my hands to practice. I need a gun that I don’t have to soak my hand and ice for two days after I go to a practice shoot.

Dan (100% All in MAGA)'s avatar

Try the .380 LCP or something like it, the kick is minimal, meaning easier to keep on target too, while avoiding shock to your hands. And again, with good critical defense ammo, like Fed HST, you will stop the SOB and you wont meet him in a courtroom either. Both good outcomes from my view.

I also carry an SA XCP in .45 ACP. Slightly bigger, still imminently concealable. And with critical defense +p ammo, it will stop anyone, but it comes with much more kick too. So technique is critical.

Karen Bandy's avatar

Thanks for the tip about the .380 LPC. My hands are very arthritic now.

Not sure I’ll be able to get a permit here in Oregon, but I think it’s still possible.

You are 💯 right, if more people carried we wouldn’t have a lot of these problems.

C. Wilson's avatar

Take a look at byrna.com No permit needed. It is a big deal to discharge a firearm. Injuring or killing a human is more than life changing. What you want is to defend yourself.

I'm a former LEO- female. I'll guarantee you that if you pull a gun on me you will hesitate and I'll snatch it from you. A bad guy will use it on you. Many police are shot with their own guns. I have a couple of these, but like the CL in ORANGE for most. Orange tells the police it is non- lethal. Non-lethal does not mean "no injury."

Dan (100% All in MAGA)'s avatar

The key is to not pull a gun ever, unless you are trained and ready to immediately and accurately deploy it to save your life or someone else's life. If you pull it out and aim it and don't fire it, you have a great chance someone else will shoot you or take it from you.

Horizons's avatar

You can go to a range and rent their pistols, see what works for you. It’s not just how hard it is to pull the trigger and control the recoil, but can you rack it? With my arthritic hands, the S&W M&P EZ .380 is a good fit but then you still have to find a way to carry concealed which can be a challenge especially if petite/slim. Layered, patterned tops help.

Karen Bandy's avatar

Good idea, actually, great idea. There’s a women run shooting place that I could go to as well as some outdoor ranges.

Why not open carry? That is more obvious to the bad guys. I suppose that is a discussion for another day. Depends on the state too.

I would probably get one of those crossbody bags for some uses.

Fred Jewett's avatar

It is important to remind people that a bullet can travel some distance and go through several layers of drywall so be aware of what is behind the target before shooting.

162.550's avatar

I have the LCP 2 among other semi auto pistols. Size wise it's is the easiest to carry. Small little gun but for some reason I'm really accurate with it.

Dan (100% All in MAGA)'s avatar

Absolutely. Good, accurate weapon.

Karmy's avatar

I disagree. .380 has more of a kick than a larger pistol. I have a .380 and chose to go with a larger caliber because the smaller hurt my hand more. I am a female.

rolandttg's avatar

Sorry , but every time I keep seeing .380 referenced, I think of my daughter. She used my Sig Sauer .380 auto concealed on the roof of a counter top level bread cabinet. I must have told her it was there when she dog sat for us for a trip to the Caribbean , because the only way you could see it was to kneel on the floor. And yeah, it is deadly loaded with hollow points.

Dan (100% All in MAGA)'s avatar

Roland, Im not understanding your point.

Did she have to use it in self defense or did something bad happen to her because she didn't know how to use it?

rolandttg's avatar

She blew her brains out. That's an image you cannot unsee. Our only child. Rockefeller Frankenstein proven by the autopsy to have given her Effexor, Clonazapam, Vibryd, Gabapenton, and Lomotragen, all "anti' depressants " with depression and suicide as side effects. "Callers don't jump. Jumpers don't call". I'm here to tell you "horseshit".

C. Wilson's avatar

I never advise non- combat trained people to "get a gun." I can promise you that if the average person pulls a gun on me, I can snatch it from them and use it on them.

Dan (100% All in MAGA)'s avatar

I don’t disagree, but my advise is get a gun, learn how to use it and train in tactical situations, and if you deploy it, use it. Everyone needs to make the decision to be a victim or be able to protect yourself in a life and death situation. The police ALWAYS arrive way too late.

You might snatch it from an untrained person but you wouldn’t be able to snatch it from me. We’d definitely be in a gun fight. But then I don’t think you and I are the type of people who would do what that animal did to that innocent woman, either.

C. Wilson's avatar

I know about the police arriving afterwards. I was the police. It's just a lucky break to be in the right place.

Most civilians are just not capable of pulling that trigger. Their hesitation gets it taken away. Many police are shot with their own gun.

Everyone is at some point in a position to be caught off guard.

I covered thousands of cases of innocent people becoming victims of horrible crimes. HORRIBLE. This one wasn't even close to the worst. So, I'm a tad clinical about such things.

And, I'm not male. I still like a byrna launcher. It covers the grey area up to the "kill" decision. I carry both. It's a wonderful defensive tool.

Cookie Dee's avatar

Get a 22. If you unload it, it is lethal. No reason to save ammo in this situation. Much lighter and easier to shoot.

Fred Jewett's avatar

When Jason Seaman took down a kid in his class firing a 22 he took three rounds but was still able to disarm the kid. The black thug who killed Iryna

looks hefty so a 22 might not have slowed him down. Might have diverted his attention perhaps.

C. Wilson's avatar

22 rounds often bounce around inside the body and tear it up pretty good. I've seen enough of them to know.

Reading this thread sounds like a bunch of cowboys who have never been shot at. I have.

As a famous fighter says...everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.

Dan (100% All in MAGA)'s avatar

Yeah, and my plan is to carry and be ready, and not be a victim, and not get punched in the mouth either. And to not take a knife to a gun fight! I was in the Army for 34 years and used firearms of many types.

Chevrus's avatar

I refer you to the wild and wooly internets where the “22LR is not enough” is thoroughly debunked.

I tell everyone who isn't combat oriented to get a Byrna.com CL. It's their new model and is ideal as a defensive weapon. Take a look at their videos. I have 2 of them only because the CL was not out when I bought my first one.

Watch the Tucker Carlson interview with Dr. Moore and how the FBI and judges made his life absolute hell for not injecting his patients with the Covid jab. What they did to Dr. Michael Kirk Moore was beyond foul. Here are some of the names of disgust that caused him to be jailed twice in solitary confinement and wanted to punish him for not following what he was told. They sought to ruin Dr. Moore in every way possible. They wanted to put him away for 35 years. You will not believe this happened in the US.

How many have heard of Dr Scott Jensen, who was vilified in Minnesota simply for questioning deaths being put out by the hospitals during the early stages of the covid lockdowns. I am reading a book titled, "The American Story, The Beginnings" by David Barton and Tim Barton. It is an excellent resource if you really want to know the truth about how our country was founded... on Christian principles. And on page 205 of this book it states this, "As a matter of civil policy, it matters not whether my neighbor is an atheist or unbeliever. If he governs his behavior by basic Biblical values such as those found in the Ten Commandments - that is, if he refrains from killing me, stealing my property, or taking my spouse - he can make a good neighbor and, for that matter, a good citizen even if he is an atheist."

"The same is true with other Biblical standards and teachings such as the Golden Rule and the parable of the Good Samaritan. Living by such teachings uplifts and civilized a people and their society."

FlatEarthFlyer's avatar

The first English colonists were indeed Christians, but I defy anyone to find a statue of Jesus in any public area of Washington D.C. Instead, D.C. is decorated with every false god and Freemason symbol one can think of (Isis, Mars, Poseidon-Neptune, Minerva-Athena-Columbia, Mercury, Vulcan, Ceres, et al). So, while the true settlers of America were people of faith, most of our political leaders have been occultists of one type or another. This is why the tallest obelisk (phallic symbol) in the world stands in Washington, D.C., the George Washington Monument. A giant middle finger, flipping off YHWH.

I was similar, though had largely stopped the flu shots after seeing so much data about it being a "best guess" and not really working all that well (or negatively).

For the mRNA shots, I was in the "wait and see" camp. If they'd worked as advertised, I'd likely have gotten one. Then the insanely heavy push to get a shot in every arm started, we saw that those who had the shots still got sick or sicker, they still transmitted the virus, and ... why are we giving these shots for a virus with a 99%+ survival rate? (But don't you dare _say_ any of those things....)

HOW does one respond to this????????

I will not get the shots, but the family/community is pushing….

And here is, a “friend” who put this on Facebook. Another guilt pusher.

Here is what she wrote:

“The flu shot isn’t about you. And Read that again.

I said this last night and I’ll say it louder today: the flu shot is bigger than you.

Influenza isn’t “just a bad cold.” It’s a severe respiratory illness. I’ve had it — it’s brutal. High fevers. Every bone aching. Gasping for breath like you’ll never catch it. And yes, it can kill.

You don’t just get the shot for yourself. You get it for:

👵 The grandparents whose bodies can’t fight like they used to.

🌸 The mom of 3 going through chemo with zero immune system.

👶 The newborn too fragile to fight infections.

💉 The nurses + doctors who need to stay healthy so they can take care of you.

💊 The 50-year-old on meds that weaken his immunity.

🤰 The pregnant mama finally carrying her miracle baby.

👨‍👦 The single dad who can’t afford another sick day.

🎈 The 7-year-old boy who just wants to play but is high-risk.

❤️ The 30-year-old with HIV whose immune system is already fighting battles.

The flu shot is NOT always about you.

It’s about the people around you — the ones who can’t protect themselves.

I’ve sat in the room as someone took their last breath from influenza.

I’ve seen patients struggling for air.

I’ve done everything I could — warm blankets, Tylenol, nebulizers — just to keep them comfortable as this virus ravaged their body.

Herd immunity is real. Influenza kills. Getting the flu shot should be non-negotiable.

Protect yourself. Protect others.

Jeanne Schwass's avatar

This is a psyop. They're trying to manipulate through guilt. Don't buy in. We couldn't see our two grandkids for a year and a half because we wouldn't get the jab.

If they feel that strongly, nothing will change their mind. I caught the flu last September when our family went to visit family in Alaska. Six of the 8 of us got it. The youngest slept 24 hours and was fine. I had the worst case. Went to the ER when we returned home. There we learned that they had seen lots of the flu in the months of July and August. They asked when I was vaccinated. I told them I don't take vaccines. Apparently, all the patients they were seeing with the flu had been vaccinated. Hum ...

Notes from the Under Dog L.'s avatar

In 2022, I was accused of being a "racist" because I wouldn't exempt a student from my writing course. The work that the student submitted did not meet the objectives. Not even close.

I was subjected to a trial, told I had to "prove" I wasn't "racist." When I asked what evidence the student supplied that I was "racist," the HR Biddy responded: "SHE doesn't have to provide evidence. ALL THAT MATTERS IS THE WAY YOU MADE HER FEEL."

This BS can't end soon enough. It never should have happened in the first place.

Every white person who took responsibility for black criminality has blood on their hands. Every white person who proclaimed moral superiority by accusing other whites of being "racist" during this idiotic witch hunt should be tarred and feathered.

This Idiot Compassion has hurt more people -- not to mention the black people it has hurt. And the worst part of it is the tyrannical censorship -- just try mentioning black crime stats to these people -- they hiss and claw at the air -- WHY? When they're the next victim waiting in the wings?

Angus McPherson's avatar

The key part of this is in all caps: ALL THAT MATTERS IS THE WAY YOU MADE HER FEEL. I have been rereading Lewis's The Abolition of Man. The first chapter "Men without chests" addresses this issue in the first few paragraphs.

My mentor is continuously telling me "Feelings aren't facts." If we only use our feelings to know something we really know nothing.

They are the textbook definition of "useful idiots", gleefully carrying water for the evil in this world. They are beyond hope at this stage and should be relegated and shunned as such...

daverkb's avatar

What kind of 'allegations' you could have put out there based on 'ALL THAT MATTERS IS THE WAY YOU MADE HER FEEL' rule of fake 'logic'. It seems to me that reversing the tables might not be such a bad idea?

Notes from the Under Dog L.'s avatar

Never mind how I felt being branded a "racist" for doing my job according to objective standards. Not to mention the threat of losing that job.

Never mind the blatant discrimination inherent in that statement. SHE doesn't have to provide evidence. But I was being told to do so.

There was nothing "racist" in the content of the student's grievance whatsoever. It should have been vetted before wasting the time of FOUR PERSONS. The HR Biddy announced at the outset that 2022 had been thus far a "banner year" for complaints of racism.

Wonder why.

Idiot compassion. Been a long time since I have run across that phrase, and it’s a good one.

In my head, fleeing the scene indicates the perpetrator knows that a wrong was committed. Decarlos fled. He didn’t want to get caught He knew he had broken the law.

Magistrate Stokes allowed this death to occur. She and many others in her position should also be held responsible.

Chris (CSO)'s avatar

He didn't just flee. He also took off his bloody hoodie so that he would look "normal" when he left the train, as opposed to being covered in the blood of his victim. He isn't crazy. He knew exactly what he was doing.

LJ's avatar

Did any of you hear in one of the audios one of the other riders on the train say “Don’t get involved”. Was I mistaken in hearing that or was it added by AI or a faker? I seriously heard that on the video where it showed Decarlos walking away but was still inside the traincar and his knife was dripping blood. I do not think the blood was fake , it seemed to clearly drip like blood and stain the car floor. but the voice over could have been fake.

Lori's avatar

Well she just stoked a firestorm, thats for sure.

Beth's avatar

I’ve wondered that too. What about all the people who witnessed this??

Jeff S's avatar

No one stepped up to assist? Who else rides that train, brain dead zombies? It seems like it's past time for some frontier justice and vigilance, against the perpetrators and those who enable them: “elite” leftist dems.

Carrie's avatar

If you commit a violent crime, it’s your fault. Period. The end! You should be locked up, no bail. It doesn’t matter if you have a mental health issue. Studies have shown repeatedly that multiple violent crime acts eventually lead to murder when the perpetrator notices that he never faces consequences.

Lydia Lozano's avatar

He wasn't that crazy. He knew enough to flee.

Carrie's avatar

“Mental illness” definitions have been really dumbed down too to justify letting someone off easily from a crime, at the same time the mental illness of living your life as the gender you are not is considered normal by the psychological authorities. When things make so little sense, they are evil from the devil.

Jeremiah Davidson's avatar

Murder is a symptom of mental illness, and the idea that courts allow ‘temporary insanity’ to be considered a legal defense is absurd. anybody who does anything like what this man did is obviously insane and should be put to death in order to rid our neighborhoods of the trash.

… any sympathy for a man like this may end up with you shedding your blood for his sake

IF "God" was the ultimate power in the universe... why would there even be a fight?

I hear more excuses for "God's" lack of interventions to help or save those "he so loved" than I do for low IQ violent black animals.

Jeremiah Davidson's avatar

You have an excellent point there, dude, and it actually proves that God is not ruling this world right now, else there would be no fight. I’m not saying he’s not the ultimate power in the universe. I’m simply saying that he’s sitting back and watching the Christians, Jews, and Muslims, all claiming to believe in God and yet living their lives as though God did not exist.

… God’s just sitting back and watching evil rule this world (and sometimes I think he just laughs at how stupid some people are)

Abiding Dude's avatar

Thanks, JD... I have been reading "I Contain Multitudes" and "Fingerprints of the Gods" and am pretty well convinced that none of the current "religions" have the truth.

Jeremiah Davidson's avatar

Allow me to strengthen your conviction there dude. I’m acquainted with a book written by a brilliant man, Christopher Hitchens, a man that claimed to be an atheist, although I don’t know how those two terms go together. It seems to me that you can no more prove that God does not exist as you can prove that he does exist. But, the man was brilliant, I’ll give him that. He wrote a book that he mistakenly titled; ‘God is Not Great’, with this subtitle; “how religion poisons everything”. You see what I mean about his claim to be an atheist, here he’s talking about how God is not great as though God exists. I think agnostic was the correct term to describe him, but nonetheless, as far as his title goes and his subtitle, he’s wrong about God, but he’s absolutely correct about religion.

His mistake was in thinking that God has anything to do with any of man’s religions

… he doesn’t, but you couldn’t convince any of them of that

Abiding Dude's avatar

I agree, Hitchens was a great man. And that "agnostic" is probably a better descriptor.

IMO, none of us know anything about "God"... though MANY claim to know all about it/him/her.

Judging from the current state of the world, IMO Hitchens is correct, in that all of the man-made "Gods" in all religions, are not great... in fact, one might claim them to be sadistic, racist, craven, vicious, shallow and vengeful.

Even the pompous, bloviating "christians" here would have to admit they all live under the treat of eternal damnation and eternal agony, if they step far enough out of line or fail to say the magic words.

Imagine a "Creator" doing that to his own children, whom HE designed... all flaws included. Horrifying.

Shelle's avatar

I appreciate Jeff's breakdown about the killer.

If you frame every negative thing that happens to a black person as racism from childhood up, how is he or she to know the difference? I'm raising children who are black and I've thought carefully about how differently they might view ordinary wrongs of childhood coming from their peers if they were told it was racism rather than children being selfish as children will sometimes be. It's a pretty cruel thing to put a racism framework upon a child and not teach them the reality of what human sinfulness is, how it effects everyone. If I saw clear racism, of course I would address it, but there's been so little, and it's far better that my children recognize both their own and others selfishness as harmful forces in the world and that they have not been targeted for their skin color.

CeCe Brown's avatar

Early in my teaching career, I had a black girl who would say to me...."u r mixed Miss Lee, I know you are....you are mixed." She loved me and knew I loved her. That was back 30 years ago when we taught everyone is the same just shades of brown. There wouldn't be racism if they weren't creating it.

Skeptical Actuary's avatar

It’s gotten bad enough that otherwise smart people claim that differential poverty rates of blacks vs. whites is proof of racism. It’s pretty easy to just say that’s due to most kids growing up in a home with only a mother present. One earner - less income. It also brings in the illegitimacy angle. The other person probably thinks I’m a RACIST for saying this, but these are the same people that think every white person is a racist anyway.
