I'm there with you Phil in that I don't automatically trust any narrative and try to independently evaluate the evidence. I even gave the Flat Earthers a fair shake (IMO) but found that their "proof" all had plausible explanations that could be explained by natural phenomena.
The problem with the HARP stuff is there is no evidence, there is a plausible explanation, and people making the claims end up looking like lunatics to "normal" people. These Arctic blast weather patterns do happen routinely every so often, and there's nothing unusual about this one particularly in January. The fact that it coincides with the Iowa caucus is almost certainly a coincidence. If it were happening during a July caucus that would be a different story.
I did watch hurricane Ian in real time, tic by tic on the radar and it was without a doubt manipulated. Ian performed a long series of regular course changes, first 90 degrees east and then 90 degrees back to the north, like a clock ticking time. It was as if Ian was being repeatedly "bumped". This wound up changing the projected landfall from the sparsely populated Big Bend area, to it's eventual landfall south of Tampa into a highly populated area. These course changes were completely mechanical and could only be the result of manipulation. I’m this way now too. I suspect every thing. And I too saw what I believe to be a manipulation with Ian. I don’t have the proof or data… but in my gut it is strong. My concern (and perhaps I've overly sensitive to this) as we look like crazy people to those who are still bought into the narrative which causes us to lose credibility. In addition we had totalitarian mandates and pressure to pump this stuff in to everyone. We could point to all of this as unprecedented with credibility, and have the data to back it up.

Critical thinking works both ways. Yes we don't accept the manufactured narrative at face value, but we also don't accept every lunatic-fringe explanation at face value either. We use our God-given reason to evaluate the available evidence and judge it against our life experiences.

What is important is the truthfulness, the accuracy, and the validity first of presuppositions, whether stated or unstated in any give argument.
