I have never understood why I couldn't just say, "I'm not sick and I'm willing to take my chances on catching something, so I won't wear a mask."? Why was that never an option??

I used the “You can tell your boss you asked me to mask and that I refused. There, you are covered”. It worked usually.

Because "you don't wear a mask for yourself; you wear it to protect others..." 🙄

Some evil genius came up with that one, along with "asymptomatic spread."

Where the fetus that's also involved is ignored.

Exactly. Like somehow a fetus is part of the mother’s body?? Makes zero sense. I can’t count the number of times pregnant women have said it feels like they have an “alien” (jokingly) inside them. Clearly no one really feels like it is just a part of their body like one of their organs or something.

Agree. We pretty regularly said, 'We don't live by lies, thanks.'

This is what I still say a version of: “sorry. I cannot lie.” and occasionally “Sorry, but I don’t treat others like they are diseased.”

You not wearing a mask fails to "protect your neighbor/grandma"- says the $cience. So many Believers also fell for that fear mongering tactic & even added an extra umph to the $cience narrative push by adding the "WWJD?" Guilt trip= Wear A Mask For Your Neighbor. Even Beloved Woke Mega Faith Influencer, Jen Hatmaker pushed that nonsense, SO hard. 😓🤢 🤦🏼‍♀️

Never worked for me since I don't like my neighbors. 😄 and the WWJD crowd can quit judging. Pretty sure Jesus would tell them to put their faith in Our Heavenly Father and not the cdc. I was surrounded by these loons. I have no tolerance or sympathy for them. 🤗

And it was all really just to get worldly approval and to signal their virtue to others, which isn’t what Jesus would do, I don’t think.

Spin “religion” to fit the narrative of her family’s dynamic and lifestyle… much like that other crazy, Glennon Doyle whatever her name is now.

I have never heard of this woman. Religion and denominations are the greatest divider of God's children. In that I am a firm believer. I choose a relationship with my Creator. I do not choose one theology doctrine over another. I choose my Father and He chose me and made me in His image. Blessed beyond measure. I can't help but think of Noah when I see what is happening in this world.

That is too reasonable and thoughtful. And it doesn't serve the narrative of a lockdown.

The door guards would stand there with their stack of blue disposables and try to flag me down and I would always politely say “ no thank you” and keep walking.

I would say that or sometimes just wave my black cloth face diaper at them and say, “I have one; thanks.” Which was true. I just never put it on 😏
