You were lucky to escape. While my folks are alive I’m stuck here. It’s still a long drive, but better than driving to an airport, flying and renting a car, and then driving two hours. 🥲
Yep, I think Tina is worse. Not sure we’ll ever be out from under the emergency. Meanwhile she’ll spend us into oblivion. Will we ever get our kickers, you know, our own money back?

I understand. My parents are up there in age. My sister is in the same boat as you. I apologize to her often that she is now stuck there until our parents pass on thanks to us getting out.
We made that drive to Commifornia many times. I totally get it. Safe travels to you and I hope you have a nice time!!!
I do know we are fortunate. I thank God everyday for getting us out. I know not everyone can just pick up and leave. It’s not realistic. Our escape was a miracle in itself.
You’re lucky you have a sister near them. And so great you got to move.
My brother is near, about 1-2 hours away, but he’s, not worthless, but not that great. (They’re all in WA). He’s generous with gifts which they don’t need 🤣
Yes. I do realize how fortunate we are. I’m more the caregiver so if something happens I’ll have to get there and stay as needed. But at least my sister is there for emergencies. They are very healthy so that’s the only reason we were able to even consider moving away. If they had failing health issues I could’ve never left them. It still weighs on me though.

There is a bunch of us Oregonians in the C&C Army!! I would love to have a meet up next time I come visit. That would be so much fun I think!

Where did you live in Oregon? I’m in Bend, I think we’ve shared before. 😉
We are in the valley. Right In between Portland and Salem. You are a few hours from us. I think there’s a few of you at least over in bend.
I don’t know anyone else here in Bend. Would love to find someone.
