The C&C multiplier is a wonderfully generous idea. I went to donate and found the minimum donation to be $5, which makes the minimum “ending in 2” amount $12. My guess is we contributed even more than Jeff stated because some of us donated between $5 and $11. Some others may have been unable to give more than $2 though, so we may have missed many donations that would have really added up.

Wishing a good day to all.

My grandmother was from Poland, so I took a term of Polish in college. Most surprising thing was that Polak just means a Polish man. And Polka means a Polish woman.

It's mildly offensive that the Poles were stereotyped as stupid, but I think that was just a result of rural people showing up in America with a very different language and working manual labor jobs at first.

The Poles themselves have a strong intellectual tradition, lots of scientists, mathematicians, and writers. No one can seriously think they are stupid.

Emanating from what appears to be a local issue………The New York Hudson Valley, Treasure of American History “Sliced and Diced”. Who would have thought that after the Livingston era, the valley would once again be fertile ground for exploitation? The vision and the means has its roots, as it did then, in Europe, Hungary specifically, energized by the American Dream, rising from poverty, war and deprivation to become the noble force for good, justice and equality for all.

No headlines to alert the locals, no local militia to rally the defense, nothing but a few weak locals groups infested with a few sleeper spies creating a local fuss. From Westchester to Albany and all stops in between the players big and small are in position. The institutions have been adjusted, the honey is flowing, no lights, no curtain, no stars and no music, just a limited number of tickets and the show is slowly manifesting its presence. Almost biblical, a few small fish sliced and divided for the hungry locals. Does anybody dare guess what, who and how? Answer the who and you’ve got the how, the what should be easy.

In 2022 in Michigan, a Midland district elected a Democrat, a woman to the Michigan state Senate. In a highly conservative district, she somehow beat another woman, a conservative Republican, who had been in the Michigan House legislature previously. She used Roe v Wade being overturned as a cattle call for women’s choice, pro abortion as did every Democrat running in this state. Two years later, a U.S. Congressman, a Democrat, who only served 6 years decided to retire, unexpectedly. Unsurprisingly, the Dems ran this woman who had been in the Michigan senate two years as the candidate. She was billed this time around as a wife and mother of 5, and a good Catholic. She won the seat, though she was behind until the day after the election. In Michigan, the governor is tasked with calling a special election to replace her seat in the state senate. Today it is July, and our governor has still not called that special election. The 35th Michigan district has been without representation in our state Senate for almost 200 days. If Republicans were to flip the seat back, our Senate would be deadlocked at even numbers. Many bills could not be rammed through.

Meanwhile, the good Catholic mother of 5 has voted straight along with every other Democrat against Trump’s agenda, every time.

Yes, their paper of record, the patriot news has an article about just how awful it is for care homes that their immigrant employees are MIA. It does reveal that their average pay is 16.52/hour, while saying that Americans won't do that work. Yes, won't do that work for that kind of pay that you can't live on unless you live in a cockroach motel on top of the other "vital workers". They quote the care home owner who bemoans the fact that his "pipeline" of new workers he enjoyed previously is now a trickle. Hmmm, why do you need a pipeline? Why wouldn't have a stable employee group? Maybe, because you abuse them and then when they get uppity you ship them out and get more from the "pipeline". This system encourages abuse at both ends of the pipeline, foment chaos in their home countries to get them into the "pipeline", then ship them back when even the little you pay or awful conditions they have to work under become too bad.

One of the care partners (these are not CNA's - they do stuff like help with showers, dressing, laundry, etc) at my mom's place told my mom the other day that 'they don't pay enough' so mom asked what do you make? She said $22.50 an hour! Granted, not an easy job caring for sometimes cranky old folks, and she told mom she sometimes gets opportunities to pick up some OT and does like her job. Funny, mom is a D with TDS (although we almost never discuss politics) but she said, if she wants more money she needs to go back to school and get her CNA. I said, mom, this is why your rent went up $250 a month when your lease renewed July 1, they were paying $19.50/hr when you first moved in 2 years ago. She agreed with me, and said, this is what causes inflation! I kept my mouth shut but wanted to say, mom, you sound like a Republican.....

Most of the care partners who work at her place are either students who are going to school, or are older folks who stayed home raising kids who are now grown and realizing they need to accelerate retirement savings. But the crap place she went for rehab was staffed by a lot of temps, and pretty sure the agency they recruited from was hiring illegals. I will say there were a couple of regulars who said they were Jamaican who were really good, but they were the exception rather than the rule.

A good question to ask prospective places is what % of your staff is temps. Mom's place the answer was zero.

I had both knees replaced in 2017, three weeks apart, and spent a week in rehab for each. It was a real eye opener... I was astounded at all the immigrants who worked in 'care,' and I was in a fairly upscale facility. Some of them could barely speak English. My mother in California had an identical experience there, which wasn't surprising, but I am in Massachusetts... as I said, it was an eye opener to see just this small slice of the immigrant influx in one location. We subsequently became aware that a local motel had become a residential facility for them, without any notification to the town's citizens. We can only imagine how often that scenario is replicated around the Commonwealth, which has apparently become an immigrant magnet due to very "liberal" benefits. But if I hadn't been in that rehab, I'd have had no idea about what was going on relatively below the surface.

The constant Medicare cuts since 2013 (Obamacare started here ) have something to do with the quality of staff in nursing homes as well. The patients with basically no political voice have been getting whacked for years. If the focus was eliminating fraud instead of encouraging more fraud by not even coming close to paying adequately, we might be better off. These are just my observations as a healthcare worker for 42 years.

💯 I heard some stupid political anal-ysis on NPR this weekend saying poll results show Americans want “undocumented” immigrants who commit serious crimes deported (I guess being here illegally in the first place isn’t serious to their minds, and they want to wait until they do something they consider serious?), but they want to keep the ones who pick their fruits and vegetables, mow their lawns, clean their houses, and care for their elderly parents. This burns me up — the bleeding-heart libs never talk about the greed of *those* people, who aren’t willing to pay anything like a living wage for that essential, demanding work that directly impacts their own homes and families. They think they’re doing charity work when they round up people from a street corner on a Saturday morning to re-sod their lawn in the middle of a blistering Texas July.

I’ve wondered why a beautiful State like VT, with a small population of Americans who like living in their own space, unbothered, continue to vote for communists instead of conservatives?

Is it the hippies, too ignorant to realize the definition of Communism is NOT “live and let live”?

Is it a lack of Voter ID/all those invaders pouring across the border from Africa/Middle East?

Or, do Vermonters just not vote at all, so the Commies are electing themselves?

And they are CONSTANTLY hearing that every other opinion is "crazy right wing propaganda." It went into high gear with "covid" and anything to do with Trump. I just listened to an audio book by Megan Greenwell “Bad Company” about the ruinous effect on society of private equity. She is clearly liberal but her insight is important for conservatives. It’s incumbent on conservatives to join with reformers of both parties not fight them but to find common ground to help people deal with excesses of venture capitalists that have gotten far too much cover from politicians from both sides due to their undue influence of donations of multimillions. The time is now to side with newly acquired middle and even lower classes to understand their plight and fight for them. Liberal billionaires dominate the Democrats but exploit the little people while feigning benevolence. Conservatives have the opportunity to gain the trust of these people and help reform the system ( with the help of some liberals) that these billionaires have exploited. Starting with tax reforms that have been resisted primarily not by legitimate corporate interests but by leveraged financial investors.

A white special ed freshman in our local high school was raped in the hall (during class) by a black transfer student, who had problems in his previous schools. It was all caught on surveillance cameras. Rather than call the police immediately, the school SENT THE STUDENTS HOME. The school admin didn’t call the police for 24 hours because the principal said, “I don’t want it to scare our students.” 🙄 Because rape wouldn’t scare your female students. 🙄

The girl’s teacher said, “Oh, well, she’s known to lie.” 😡 I told another teacher (far left) about it. She said, “Girls lie all the time.”

WTH happened to Me, Too?

Anyway, the police were able to get the footage and charge the student.

That's a fact, Donna. In public schools nationwide, academic achievement has been steadily tanking since Bush Jr. strong-armed the adoption of national standards. The only people who don’t notice are the past 20 years of HS graduates. Local control is the best way to compare education cause/effect across classrooms, school districts, and states. Sad to say, the past 20 years of HS graduates weren’t taught much about cause/effect. Need proof? 1) Not building careers and can’t afford a home. 2) Mouthing off during traffic stops and getting arrested. 3) Protesting by blocking traffic and getting hit by cars (in Florida, anyway and so far).

BTW, in California if not nationally, HS students cannot distinguish between facts and opinions. How scary is that?

I’m seeing a silver lining here. Democrats are now feeling the same way Republicans did while Biden was in power. Their eyes are now opening to the global spiderweb of corruption strung together by blackmail, bribery, and debauchery. Pointing out a legitimate conspiracy is no longer off-limits—and people are more willing to consider alternative viewpoints and evidence.

They are beginning to realize it’s no longer about the artificial left versus right but rather about ordinary people versus the cruelites, philanthropaths, kapos, and colluders who have been conspiring to strip us of our liberties, rights, and even lives.

Now we can finally move beyond the partisan blinders toward unifying resistance, and together we can dismantle the technocratic prison bars being erected around us before the 2030 completion date.

For instance, an area that typically goes through a 3-4 year drought cycle now reverses in a year and in some cases goes from drought conditions to excess rains inside of a year. He did not posit a reason, just shared the data.

The frustrating part for me as an avid hobbyist gardener is the scattered nature of midwest summer precip that means an inch of rain 15 minutes north and not a drop here. I gave in on Sat as was had not had measurable rain in 10 days - spent hours weeding, and deep watering all of my beds. We got 1.3 inches of rain that night. Not in the forecast. Sigh.

If the National Weather Service tracked geo engineering activity, their forecasts would be much more accurate.

The national weather service is a captured agency. All climate change and no science. Hopefully they gutted that agency like the department of education as a large percentage of employees were woke.

I notice our local tv "climate enhancers" put a lot of time into freaking out over "feels like" temperatures, some times never actually telling the actual temp. And they get so nauseatingly emotional. I wish I could shoot rubber bands through my tv screen to hit the speaker.

We have the technology, I wish they’d have a dashboard with likes, dislikes and comments real time. That might be fun to watch 😆

They have also changed the weather map on screen to a fire orange color to emphasize the exaggerated temperature that is actually normal

Following the TX floods, D's right out of the gate blamed 'cuts at NWS' as a reason the flooding caught so many by surprise. Totally fake news as they were fully staffed AND noted they brought in some extra hands and had issued a flood warning at 1 AM.

I caught them out one time. They were forecasting sunny blue skies all day. But the chemtrails had been going from the start of the day. So Late morning, nws changed their forecast to hazy skies, as the skies started to haze over from the chemtrails.

What do you call an organization that has failed miserably in its mission and wants to keep its jobs and its billions : The Dept of Education. Has anyone at Doe ever explained why kids can't read or do math? Or is it in fact accomplishing its mission of indoctrination and making sure kids learn to hate their country?

My big thing now is asking people what exactly they’re supporting with that flag. Is it the LGB? Because I don’t have a problem with that. (I do but you know) But that right there is a pedo flag and everyone should have a problem with that unless they’re a pedo.
