I think it's been said before, but it occurred to me that Jeff is like an older age Charlie Kirk in many ways:
-He's a great communicator, able to tell complicated truths in a way that regular people can understand.
- His moral compass points true north, owing to his faith, which he promotes, but not In a way that turns away most nonbelievers.
-He's winsome and even entertaining, putting just enough honey on bitter facts to make them easier to digest.
-He's strategic and always looking at the big picture and the future, but still good with details.
-Due to all these things and his huge intelligence, he has an outsized influence beyond his basic job description. He punches above his weight class, as did Charlie.
I nominate Jeff to be part of the team that will be needed to replace Charlie. Thank you Jeff for all you do!
My husband and I just got back from a trip to Alaska where we were blessed to see a portion of Mount Denali. As a result, Jeff's reference to seeing the end game like "the snowy peaks of a distant mountain range rising on the horizon" is vividly real to me this morning.

So true. He was a huge help in keeping me sane during Covid. I think I discovered him in mid 2021. I only wish I had found him earlier. He started the blog on Facebook, then moved to substack sometime not too long before I started reading.
Coffee and Covid helped keep me sane during Covid. I discovered that I wasn't alone, and intelligent people outside of repressive Washington state were fighting back. I can't overstate how much that meant in 2020. It continues to mean so much today. I am (hopefully) receiving a raise in pay next week, and plan to finally become a paid subscriber to celebrate.
I found him huddled in our truck at a camping site. Our tiny camper just held a mattress and when I got up in the am I had to get out. It was cold the end of October. I had gotten thrown out of a few places for not vaxxing and some family abuse. My SIL had not vaxxed and at that moment that morning attempted murder was happening to her in a hospital. (She survived by pulling out the vent when she woke up briefly) the rage against us was stressful everywhere plus death wishes but I was closer to God by then and absolutely knew the evil of the left and the medical system. I don’t know how but a link to Jeff popped up from something I was reading. He kept me sane through the vax operation and still does. God bless Jeff and his family. God protect them.

Not sure what to make of Candace's threatening to 'release the text messages'. If you have something, just release it for crying out loud. At the urging of several friends, I did watch her tribute to Charlie video, it was sweet and a tear-jerker. She avoided the conflict stuff until the very end and focused on her memories and the positive. Made some remarks at the end about him being 'under pressure'. Didn't really talk about the split from TPUSA which frankly I have never cared enough to look into. Know she was kicked off Daily Wire due to her stance on Israel but in the last several years have gotten the sense Candace is out for Candace. But have some friends who follow and watch her religiously. The X post just popped onto my feed last night and it came across to me as a 'look at me' kind of post.

You kind of missed my point. The video I saw was where she was threatening people who would take the helm at TP USA. I don’t think this is her place. I’m sure Charlie had confided in his wife many times about who or what he felt about the individuals that might be in those positions. Candace needs to stay out of the spotlight on this issue. If she wants to give her opinions on who may have shot Charlie, that’s a different matter, but to think that she has some kind of power in TP USA is ridiculous. It made me feel like she thought she was the one that ought to step in. Two things (or more) can be true at once. There's a lot weird about Charlie's assassination. Yet God is still God. I watched a video earlier today of three boys addressing the school board regarding their teacher making bad comments regarding Charlie Kirk. Their thoughts and words were well researched and spoken. This is Charlies’s legacy to me… young men having the courage to speak out about wrongs and doing it well. I am hoping the teacher got fired but it did not say.

How to tell if something is off. Look for foot dragging in release of information. Is there any reason to not release information? Where’s the bullet, how about autopsy results and hospital records? How about this idea? Cash released lots of new info about the case today. There were many more people who were involved. It's looking very sinister and evil. Even moreso than it already does...
It's not just Candace, Matt Gaetz, Tucker Carlson, Mike Cernovich, and Megyn Kelly have all said there's a clear story here, and there is proof. Others like Aaron McIntyre have also more generally hinted proof will come out.
Here's the story:
First off, ignore people that are saying Mossad had a hand in this. There's no proof of that I know of and are just your usual ragebaiters and bad-faith actors.
But there does seem to be pretty clear evidence of the following:
- Charlie was originally a standard-issue GOP-talking points guy with regards to Israel
- With Israel's response to the Hamas invasion, and more general evidence of Israel's manipulation and interference in American politics, Charlie became more hostile to Israel. In particular he fought against the obvious attempts to drag the US into war with Iran.
- Charlie started saying this publicly and even lobbied President Trump against getting involved in Iran. (Supposedly PDJT chewed Charlie out about this but who knows if that's true.)
- This pissed off the TPUSA mega-donors (not all of them but the Israel shill variety) and they were putting tremendous pressure on him. They demanded TPUSA blackball Tucker Carlson and other people who were critical of Israel. Charlie refused.
- This has been escalating over the past several weeks and seemed to culminate at a recent meeting put together by hedge fund billionaire and Israel zealot Bill Ackman. At this meeting Charlie was told in no uncertain terms TPUSA needed to change its tune or else.
- There is supposedly a lot of evidence of this including videos, ominous messages to Charlie, and Charlie texting others about what was going on.
_ Right after Charlie was murdered, Netanyahu went on some show holding up a letter he supposedly received from Charlie professing his love for Israel. He did not release it. Candace claims that's not what the letter said at all and Netanyahu is lying (real shocker there).
- Now after Charlie's death these same Israel zealots are trying to seize control of TPUSA, determine who runs it, and make it decidedly pro-Israel going forward. People who know what was going on are telling the story above.
- The people saying this (those named at the top of this comment) are very clear the evidence will come out if needed but they are likely holding off out of respect for Charlie and to let things settle. But make no mistake, they won't let TPUSU be commandeered.
- A group of likely paid-off "influencers" have all started attacking Candace and the others. It's the usual "Israel can do no wrong" crowd and they are almost all Jewish or Christian Zionists.
- These influencers have been quoting Candace and the others out of context trying to make it look they are blaming Charlie's death on Mossad and other nutty conspiracies. It's being done intentionally and in a coordinated fashion to discredit them. But that's not what they are saying at all, they are talking about struggle for control of TPUSA.
I don't have any special insight into this but I do listen to what people actually say rather than what others say about them. The names above also all have records about being pretty straight shooters, and calling a spade a spade. Plus this explanation just makes sense based on everything we've seen regarding how the Israel shills operate. They are not America First as Charlie was.

IMO this is a deliberate disinformation campaign to cover their tracks. Ted Cruz just popped off with the same bad-faith characterization of Candace that Joel Berry and other Israel First people have been waging. None of this is organic IMO.
What really made Candace angry was the Netanyahu clip. He directly injected himself into this trying to make Charlie a martyr for Israel. Charlie was a martyr for Christ, and if anything else it was America. Both could not be more diametrically opposed to Netanyahu's agenda.

Charlie said on a recent podcast discussion that his criticism of Israel / Netanyahu doesn’t mean he doesn’t love Israel. He compared it to living through the Biden administration & detesting what they stood for, while continuing to love America at the same time. Can’t remember who he was speaking with. The problem is that some donors & others don’t allow this type of criticism against Israel. That’s not good.
Bottom line for me is the fight for control of TPUSA looks to be getting very ugly and that makes me both sad and angry. I have no idea how it is structured - who the legal 'owners' actually are. All indications seem that Charlie was very hands on but did have managers in place for the operations side of things and he was the 'voice'. So it seems the fight is over who will be the voice. But who calls the shots to that voice is key. And without donors, none of it matters. If donors pull out it implodes.

I came out of Dispensationalism after two decades myself as I had never actually challenged what I was being taught. Israel's behavior shook me out of that as I could not reconcile Christ's commands to be kind to others with the Israeli state's brutality. Christ didn't say be kind except this country 2000 years in the future can kill whoever it wants. The fact that Charlie was unabashedly pro-America and pro free speech was one of the many reasons i deeply admired him. Last night on Tucker’s live event he admitted that on a recent Charlie show appearance he told Charlie he would keep his criticisms of Israel’s gov’t to himself so as not to offend Charlie’s donor base. But Charlie instead encouraged him to go all in and speak freely, which he did. And then the shakeup with Ackman and the ‘Israel can do no wrong’ crowd went down, which you well described. In the end, Charlie didn’t cower and neither did Tucker. That’s integrity!
I guess only time will tell what comes out in the wash, but i do hope TPUSA stays true to its ideals. I hope it’s his wife who takes the reigns.

It looks like the FBI is lying about who shot Charlie and from where. It is all over X that he was shot from the right side. The bullet exited on the left. The exit wound is what we all saw. Entry wounds are much different. If I was his wife I would definitely want the truth. Tyler did not use his grandfathers rifle to make this shot from that roof. All those texts are staged. The shot came from someone else at a different location. The shot hit Charlie from the right, this is an impossible angle for it to be Tyler, who was perched there as part of the team, he planned to take the fall if necessary (how they recruit these guys IDK) . Don’t know who paid the real shooter, but he’s a professional with a different type of gun and Tyler’s silly texts are to simply make it look like, he was spreading hate, but really someone much bigger took him out for much bigger reasons.

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my eldest daughter at 32. Her little brother (9 years younger) adored her. It changed him forever and altered the trajectory of his life. Six years later he's just now able to talk about how much it affected (and still affects) him.

I'm a Christian conservative father of three children. Two of my kids have grown into wonderful Christian adults. Sadly, one has mental issues that caused her to be vulnerable to the demons who push transgenderism online. She "came out" as transgender to my family when she was in college. She lives in California now. Thankfully, she is still civil to us and loves us as best her mindset will allow her to.
But, oh my, how I relate to and grieve for that poor father who had to turn his son in.
I have a nephew in his late 20s who is spiritually and mentally ill with this madness. I think of him every time a crime is committed by one of the same. God forbid that he would snap like that.

This highlights the dangers of public schooling and internet use. Both are contrary to the will of our Creator, who continually exhorts His children to be holy and separate from the hostile world we live in, and to teach our own children rather than throwing them to the wolves on a daily basis. Seems like common sense to me. The Amish and Mennonites do a pretty good job of this, ensuring their children are educated in their own tightly-controlled schools, eschewing many modern conveniences, and apprenticing their young people into traditional trades where they usually make more money than their college-educated counterparts.

Based on the integrity and morals they displayed after the shooting, it's safe to assume they tried to help him with his obvious difficulties. It's certain we will learn more, but they likely did not see him engraving shell casings, read his Discord chats, or suspect that he intended to shoot someone.
We attended a CK memorial in a small red town in a red state. I was dismayed by how many parents said they lost their conservative, kind, loving, Christian children when those kids went off to college. They were speaking out to warn the parents and young people in attendance that, never in a million years would they have guessed that THEIR child could be so completely and quickly brain washed.
I also noticed that and have been praying for them along with Erika and the kids. I understand they are very private people but somehow I find myself wishing to send them a note of condolence and grateful thanks for their son whose life was so exemplary and meant so much to us as Americans and Christians! Amen. A special grief is the grief of a parent. Though I have experienced the loss of a husband at a fairly young age (in our 40’s) I have been spared the loss of one of my sons so far. But I have friends and relatives that have lost children and I cannot imagine that pain. My heart surely hurts for all of you that have suffered that loss.

As a community I appeal to you all to be careful with your anger to other members here and don’t be so quick to judge. Yes there are leftist trolls and haters on occasion that enter. I’m not talking about them, I’m talking about how we treat each other (who do share the same values and insights) when we post an alternative thought. In the past week I have been blocked by two people I thought were lovely, reasonable, and shared my values because I dared post an alternative thought. One threatened to block me if I replied again, after I had only made a single half sentence comment adding information I had heard reported, without commentary or anything. That’s it. And I was chastised to not argue with her. 🤨 I then replied not to the subject (respecting her wishes,) but to her trying to silence me. She then proceeded to tell me she warned me and blocked me. A second was yesterday when I shared an alternative thinking about free speech, making it clear that it was just where I “presently” was at with my thinking, and trying to have a conversation. She told me I knew that she didn’t mean it that way. I replied again trying to have a convo and she blocked me.
It saddens me. We are all on edge and fed up with dealing with two-faced patriots who are trying to sow discord. I get it. But in that apprehension we are accidentally treating each other as the enemy or as a “bad seed.” I’m trying to give the benefit of doubt that they are grieving, and probably thought I was one of those sh*t stirrers, and deserving of having my voice silenced. Charlie never silenced others, not even the sh*t stirrers actually.
I ask everyone to be careful, please. Be willing to have a conversation and don’t reflexively block someone and assume they’re unworthy of being heard. Don’t threaten others “I will not argue with you and if you continue to reply I will block you”. That threat alone is pure arrogance and closed mindedness. If you disagree and don’t want to talk about it, scroll by. Easy peasy. Convo over. Or - withhold your virtue signal and quietly block if you must.
I’ve never given any view here that was vile or hateful or meant to divide, so I am shocked I was on the receiving end of this. I just wanted the rest to know this was happening. We all love it here and each other. We aren’t always going to agree, and Charlie would not have wanted fellow C&Cers, fellow Christians, to be blocking each other so frivolously.

Agree, there’s been far more contentiousness in the disagreements lately 😕 I’ve disagreed with a lot of the hot takes here in the past week but have scrolled on by since I didn’t see the point in debating them. I think a lot of people are very suspicious because of past events and I don’t blame them. Even if I don’t agree with their takes they should certainly be able to express them here. Constructive dialog is good. I like the way Charlie remained civil no matter what a young person said. We could learn from that. I draw the line at ad hominem attacks. When that happens, I disengage.
I completely agree. If someone can’t be civil to me while we’re exchanging viewpoints, I see no point in trying to continue the discussion. Calling people names and insulting them isn’t necessary or productive.

I quickly refocused on what my true concerns were: that it’s happening at all and why. To how many others here? Do we need a warning to prevent further divide and allow voices to be heard that clearly aren’t filled with evil intent?
I myself on SEVERAL occasions have caught myself typing out a stinging reply that would chastise someone before I could accurately determine their true intent - and I saw I was being unfair and immediately backspaced and backed out of posting it. I REALLY do understand why it happens sometimes and have been guilty myself, and I want to do better. We are all on edge.
We literally could split our party into two or three other parties who all share the same, key, nonnegotiable values but have minor differences in approach or definitions. That’s a really good thing. I don’t want to split, I’m just saying it’s a healthy group because of the varied perspectives that are not allowed on the left. Let’s not destroy that among ourselves.

I learn so much here. And I am exposed to alternative trains of thought, which I love. I hope we can get back to agreeing to disagree and listening to others respectfully. I usually go to their profile when in doubt as to their intentions if I question their post’s validity. When and if I see their ugly comments on various accounts, it shows me a little of who they are. If truly disgusting, I block them cause I don’t want to see their hateful comments and consider some just like to stir up crap. On the other hand, if it’s just a difference of opinion, I welcome the feedback as long as they are polite.
I honestly think that some people are trying to build personal brands out of comments and liken it to those who show they are hungry when they fast, who jingle the coins the loudest when they give to the poor.
Anonymity for me is the key to know we are here to have a hashing out of ideas responses and NOT personalities. If no one knows who is who, then we cant questions motives.

I mainly use Facebook to keep in touch with people who live far away or even local friends I don’t get the chance to see often. I have taken to muting those people who frequently post political stuff. I am happy to discuss those things in person but if that’s all a person posts I am not interested in their page. I want to hear about their family, job, hobbies, travels etc. Not some bumper sticker style superficial comment on current events.
I do the same with Facebook, especially since I worked overseas for so long and have a lot of far flung friends and we can keep track of each other so easily through Facebook. I'm fortunate in that not a one of us ever mentions anything remotely political!
Yes I also have lots of friends overseas and it makes it far easier to stay in touch than trying to keep up with emails, phone numbers and addresses! I’ve lost touch with many people when they moved and was fortunately able to reconnect with some via Facebook.
I've been mostly MIA on the comments the last few days due to C & C hitting my inbox late/just a busy week. If I read at night it's mostly pointless to comment as most have moved on, so I haven't seen it. But things got borderline ugly between a good friend and I over the Israel issue that I have been trying to stay out of. Agree that a lot of people are angry and on edge.

The problem with blocking isn’t so much that the blocker won’t talk to you anymore, or see your posts, it’s that you can’t get to the original post anymore to add further insight to anyone else reading that thread, and so it actually DOES silence you and blast you completely out of the conversation, where there might be 10 others discussing it. You can no longer see their replies and no longer add to it. You are censored.
Blocking in my mind is only necessary when someone is threatening you, stalking and trolling you, or spreading serious lies and hate. It has to meet an extreme level for me to block. But I won’t block a leftist that disagrees with me because I don’t want to kick them out of the conversation that might be edifying to others taking part in that conversation - not because of what the leftist says, but because of witnessing the back and forth interchange.
Blocking is a way to control what others can see and keep a single voice from saying anything more to the participants of that comment. It’s just as bad as anything the left has done to censor us.
I agree with your philosophy on blocking, there are commenters I no longer engage with because they’ve been insulting, unnecessarily rude and vulgar with me or others over just a difference of opinion. I don’t block them though, just ignore them.

Awhile back, there would appear what most of us would consider an objectionable post. There is always the option to report a post, such as those annoying bot posts from Kim and her friends. Beyond that, I always marveled at how almost everyone here simply ignored the bad posts and didn't respond to any of them.

The whole point of the 1st Amendment is freedom to speak one’s mind. I don’t agree with some people but I will fight for their right to speak their mind even if I vehemently disagree with them. I ignore them and move on. I’m sorry that some don’t understand that right and being mean about it speaks volumes about them. I’m with you Juju in solidarity.
When CK was murdered, I had a liberal friend of mine call. I wasn't able to talk to her, simply because I wasn't sure what she'd say, and I didn't want to deal with it at the moment.
People may block others because THEY can't deal with the conflict right now. They can't engage, and it's easier to check out, aka block. It might not be about the person being blocked, but the person blocking.
But … then you just scroll by and don’t engage or read. Blocking doesn’t just block them from YOUR view, it blocks them from EVERYONE’s view who are involved in that particular convo - by keeping them from being able to get to that post again and stay in the conversation with the others replying. It censors their voice and blocks them from being able to say anything else. Now … if it’s a vile, hateful commenter I can understand, but not just because the person gave additional facts they heard reported by the DOJ that differ from what you shared. That alone is not protecting anyone from that person, it’s just punishing them.
It doesn’t block others from seeing your comments up to that point, it DOES block you from getting back into that convo to remain a part of it. I see replies to my posts from kindhearted members in my notifications, and can’t reply back to them because tapping on it goes to the top of the comment section as I no longer am allowed to see the original post. (If the original post you replied to was made by the person who blocked you.)
We just need to be more thoughtful in our use of it. Some people know it censors you and frivolously use it just to do that. Others are like you and unaware what it really does. I give these two the benefit of the doubt and am choosing to believe they didn’t realize how it works and they were just protecting their own “delicate sensibilities”. (That always reminds me of my father when I was a kid, coming out of the bathroom after shaving off his beard with two dots of shaving cream on each ear, saying “I hope I don’t disturb the delicate sensibilities of others with my clean shaven face”. I’d burst out laughing. 😂)
This is the internet! There’s a real world out there, where being blocked or shunned has real meaning. This is not a life or death forum here for anyone,I hope.
But I know many of us here have nowhere to congregate in real life to have these political conversations with anyone, and the C&C community has really filled a need, as it did during Covid, so for some people it means a lot. Yeah I’m a big girl and pulled up my big girl pants and got over it, but I felt it a good reminder for all of us to remember to try not to shut each other out or down and to listen rather than react.
I can understand your view point shibumi, especially with a phone call. Sometimes you’re just not ready to handle it effectively.
When it comes to phone calls, emails, and personal relationships i agree sometimes it’s just better to cut the cord so to speak. I’ve struggled with this as well… how do you continue to engage with others when so many topics are off the table and/or they are living in a world of delusions (such as denying biological reality)? And more importantly, why waste your time? Those types of people are truly lost.
Without a doubt!! It’s completely frightening the growing mental illness. On any given day i navigate the world with a skeptical eye on ALL the humans circling in my midst. Kinda like a zombie apocalypse, you never know which one is going to pop up and turn on you out of nowhere!
Not all, but some of those opposing you could be Bots. They are used to pump up accounts, shift narratives, and to elicit emotions. I can usually spot them when they reply immediately and/or at odd times. Don't waste your time or emotions on what is really just a computer.
Honestly, I think everyone is on edge. I have been sharing a lot about Charlie Kirk on my Facebook page, encouraging people to watch his videos rather than just the sound bites. I had numerous people attack me, share the cherry-picked snippets, call him a racist, call me names, suggest there are other people who should also be assassinated, etc.
At first, I was angry and not as kind as perhaps I could’ve been, but, then, I walked away for 8+ hours and came back with a different attitude.
One of my friends texted me screenshots of someone saying some pretty inflammatory stuff and saying I should report the guy. Instead, I asked him if that was what he really meant. He backpedaled pretty quickly.
Then I posted a screenshot of Charlie Kirk’s tweet about there being no such thing as hate speech. I called on people to have civil debate to keep talking.
This post has drawn some interesting conversations. One swim friend, who is lost to TDS, started ranting that Trump was causing division, that he was horrible, blah, blah, blah… I called her out on it. What she was doing was no different that what she was accusing Trump of doing. Of course, she had an excuse about how it was okay for her to do it, but not Trump.
Yeah… no.
Anyway, I’m happy to have a civil debate. I sit in Charlie’s camp about hate speech. However, I do believe that there needs to be repercussions for people who are encouraging others to kill people they disagree with. Should they lose their jobs? Well, if they are in the medical profession and think it’s okay to change the quality of care depending on whether they believe the person disagrees with them? Yes. If they are a teacher/professor that’s pushing their political beliefs or saying, “so and so needs to die?” Yes, and I don’t care whether they’re republican or democrat. If they are a public official encouraging others to commit violence? Yes.
But we already have laws that state inciting violence is not protected speech.
So, what is your stance. I will happily discuss it without blocking you because, once we lose civil debate, all that’s left is violence.
I’m well aware of this. They have been inciting violence against any who disagree for a decade or more now. And they aren’t really democrats. The party has been taken over by the Democratic Socialist of America (aka, the Communist Party).
Juju, I'm reminded of a dynamic within my own (large) "sibling-group" who tend to avoid each other except on "happy occasions for which no ready good excuse can be found." We tend to be prickly with each other, and I've finally decided that most of us are responding instead to our somewhat-critical father, may he rest in peace, with an attitude of "I may have had to TAKE it from HIM, but I certainly DON'T have to take it from YOU!" (For all I know, this may be universal in families with strict parents: I was only ever in the one...)
What I'm thinking is that we're all EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED, and now almost all the time, and some things we read here--at the watering hole--frustrate us MORE. You are correct… I am confusing the two. In this one. Zimmerman took it into his head to be judge and jury. The cops told him that they had it and not to pursue… but he did anyway. A good friend from high school lives in Sanford, people were very upset with how the whole case was handled. One thing is for sure, God knows what was in their hearts and will judge accordingly.
I think it was an effective strategy for the time. Crump got free rein to be utterly stupid, the prosecution case was absurd, and Zimmerman walked, while Florida didn’t burn.

Many years ago (early 1990's) I was in California with friends. Someone bought Ben and Jerry's. The morning I was flying out, there was still a pint left, frozen hard, so I took it with me. This was long before they complained if you brought food on a plane. It was early morning flight, people were looking in dismay at the stale pastries they were being offered. I am too frugal to spend that kind of money on a pint of ice cream. And I will note the competition in the premium pint space has been heating up - 2-3 doors of $5 pints of ice cream in my local stores when I can get a not-quite half gallon of locally made Belfonte for a buck or 2 less. Yeah they are all bad for you, but we all have our vices.
Tillamook is really good imo. I usually prefer to just go to the local ice cream shop though. They sell amazing premium ice cream! And I generally prefer sorbet so that’s saying something!
And I am too undisciplined to have it in my freezer at all. :) I have been fighting an addiction to icecream for my entire life and have yet to ‘meet’ any I have not enjoyed. I now just go with a scoop at a time from a local shop and savor every spoonful.

I was a college student in Burlington in the 70s when they sold their ice cream locally out of a refurbished gas station. Actually used to indulge myself, lol. I think it's been said before, but it occurred to me that Jeff is like an older age Charlie Kirk in many ways:
-He's a great communicator, able to tell complicated truths in a way that regular people can understand.
- His moral compass points true north, owing to his faith, which he promotes, but not In a way that turns away most nonbelievers.
-He's winsome and even entertaining, putting just enough honey on bitter facts to make them easier to digest.
-He's strategic and always looking at the big picture and the future, but still good with details.
-Due to all these things and his huge intelligence, he has an outsized influence beyond his basic job description. He punches above his weight class, as did Charlie.

So true. He was a huge help in keeping me sane during Covid. I think I discovered him in mid 2021. I only wish I had found him earlier. He started the blog on Facebook, then moved to substack sometime not too long before I started reading.
Coffee and Covid helped keep me sane during Covid. I discovered that I wasn't alone, and intelligent people outside of repressive Washington state were fighting back. I can't overstate how much that meant in 2020. It continues to mean so much today. I am (hopefully) receiving a raise in pay next week, and plan to finally become a paid subscriber to celebrate.
I found him huddled in our truck at a camping site. Our tiny camper just held a mattress and when I got up in the am I had to get out. It was cold the end of October. I had gotten thrown out of a few places for not vaxxing and some family abuse. My SIL had not vaxxed and at that moment that morning attempted murder was happening to her in a hospital. (She survived by pulling out the vent when she woke up briefly) the rage against us was stressful everywhere plus death wishes but I was closer to God by then and absolutely knew the evil of the left and the medical system. I don’t know how but a link to Jeff popped up from something I was reading. He kept me sane through the vax operation and still does. God bless Jeff and his family. God protect them.

If you knew her you’d understand. Tough nut ex military who takes no guff whatsoever. She has had some problems since then but good. Even after all that the State of Illinois (she worked in the prison system) was still going to fire her without a shot not long before full retirement. I am afraid the 'replace Charlie' (who was one of a kind - but someone has to run TPUSA) is already turning into a sh*t show. Not sure what to make of Candace's threatening to 'release the text messages'. If you have something, just release it for crying out loud. People arguing over whether the Robinson texts were real or not. Yeah some things don't add up - but can we just focus on how to best remember Charlie and honor his memory by our actions!? Are we going to Be Charlie Kirk, or are we going to fight a civil war over who killed him?
I saw the Candace Owen clip last night and thought, doesn’t she think his wife has an interest in who runs the organization with more insight than Candace? Candace Owen has become a sensationalist who thinks she has the corner on truth. I quit watching her quite some time ago.
At the urging of several friends, I did watch her tribute to Charlie video, it was sweet and a tear-jerker. She avoided the conflict stuff until the very end and focused on her memories and the positive. Made some remarks at the end about him being 'under pressure'. Didn't really talk about the split from TPUSA which frankly I have never cared enough to look into. Know she was kicked off Daily Wire due to her stance on Israel but in the last several years have gotten the sense Candace is out for Candace. But have some friends who follow and watch her religiously. The X post just popped onto my feed last night and it came across to me as a 'look at me' kind of post.

You kind of missed my point. The video I saw was where she was threatening people who would take the helm at TP USA. I don’t think this is her place. I’m sure Charlie had confided in his wife many times about who or what he felt about the individuals that might be in those positions. Candace needs to stay out of the spotlight on this issue. If she wants to give her opinions on who may have shot Charlie, that’s a different matter, but to think that she has some kind of power in TP USA is ridiculous. It made me feel like she thought she was the one that ought to step in. I think that was the issue she had when she was there before, but that is just speculation based upon how she acted at Daily Wire too.

Ron Paul has just written a piece entitled, "Who Killed Charlie Kirk?" In it he complains of inconsistencies and shifting narratives. And so, if any of you think there's 'something off' with all of this Charlie Kirk whatever it is, you are not alone.
Definitely something off. Just having a hard time deciding if it matters or not. He's gone. He's irreplaceable, but his movement must continue. Young people are our future and continuing to plant seeds is our best hope. IMHO. Yes, we can 'do both' - dig into who really was behind his death AND continue to try to live up to his ideals and support TPUSA but my concern is that the arguing and fighting which is already beginning waters down the momentum and creates distraction.
Two things (or more) can be true at once. There's a lot weird about Charlie's assassination. Yet God is still God. Charlie loved (still does love) Him, so does Erika, and while God's permissive will allowed Charlie's death, His perfect will continues to unfold; Charlie's death will not be wasted. We can seek justice and the truth for Charlie's death and also strive to live by his example.
Actually, and becoming more irrelevant all the time, I am greatly encouraged by a lot of the younger generations. Charlie to me is a younger generation. And I see smart younger people speaking out all the time. And although nobody is ever going to be 'perfect', there are shaft's of sunshine raining down from the clouded heavens. And the best of the young strive and struggle just as we did.
So Rome fell. And it was replaced by the Age of Faith. America is falling and the insanity will be replaced, displaced. And a tree is only as good as its roots.
I watched a video earlier today of three boys addressing the school board regarding their teacher making bad comments regarding Charlie Kirk. Their thoughts and words were well researched and spoken. This is Charlies’s legacy to me… young men having the courage to speak out about wrongs and doing it well. I am hoping the teacher got fired but it did not say.

There are many believers who draw conclusions from adding and subtracting various numbers, such as dates and Bible verses or other numbers. It seems gimmicky, but what do I know. I'm very bad at mathematics, yes, but it doesn't seem like a valid way of analyzing things.

How to tell if something is off. Look for foot dragging in release of information. Is there any reason to not release information? Where’s the bullet, how about autopsy results and hospital records? How about this idea? The deep state has just been exposed yet again conducting political activities on behalf of one side which is the most perverse thing a government can do so could it be that they would kill people they find troublesome when all else fails? This case could be the thing that blows the national security state into a thousand pieces and scatters it to the wind. Or it can go the way of a similar scandalous episode and end up with documents on desk’, then ‘we got the creep so move on’ as they take up the dropped reins of the malefactors.

It's not just Candace, Matt Gaetz, Tucker Carlson, Mike Cernovich, and Megyn Kelly have all said there's a clear story here, and there is proof. Others like Aaron McIntyre have also more generally hinted proof will come out.
Here's the story:
First off, ignore people that are saying Mossad had a hand in this. There's no proof of that I know of and are just your usual ragebaiters and bad-faith actors.
But there does seem to be pretty clear evidence of the following:
- Charlie was originally a standard-issue GOP-talking points guy with regards to Israel
- With Israel's response to the Hamas invasion, and more general evidence of Israel's manipulation and interference in American politics, Charlie became more hostile to Israel. In particular he fought against the obvious attempts to drag the US into war with Iran.
- Charlie started saying this publicly and even lobbied President Trump against getting involved in Iran. (Supposedly PDJT chewed Charlie out about this but who knows if that's true.)
- This pissed off the TPUSA mega-donors (not all of them but the Israel shill variety) and they were putting tremendous pressure on him. They demanded TPUSA blackball Tucker Carlson and other people who were critical of Israel. Charlie refused.
- This has been escalating over the past several weeks and seemed to culminate at a recent meeting put together by hedge fund billionaire and Israel zealot Bill Ackman. At this meeting Charlie was told in no uncertain terms TPUSA needed to change its tune or else.
- There is supposedly a lot of evidence of this including videos, ominous messages to Charlie, and Charlie texting others about what was going on.
_ Right after Charlie was murdered, Netanyahu went on some show holding up a letter he supposedly received from Charlie professing his love for Israel. He did not release it. Candace claims that's not what the letter said at all and Netanyahu is lying (real shocker there).
- Now after Charlie's death these same Israel zealots are trying to seize control of TPUSA, determine who runs it, and make it decidedly pro-Israel going forward. People who know what was going on are telling the story above.
- The people saying this (those named at the top of this comment) are very clear the evidence will come out if needed but they are likely holding off out of respect for Charlie and to let things settle. But make no mistake, they won't let TPUSU be commandeered.
- A group of likely paid-off "influencers" have all started attacking Candace and the others. It's the usual "Israel can do no wrong" crowd and they are almost all Jewish or Christian Zionists.
- These influencers have been quoting Candace and the others out of context trying to make it look they are blaming Charlie's death on Mossad and other nutty conspiracies. It's being done intentionally and in a coordinated fashion to discredit them. But that's not what they are saying at all, they are talking about struggle for control of TPUSA.
I don't have any special insight into this but I do listen to what people actually say rather than what others say about them. The names above also all have records about being pretty straight shooters, and calling a spade a spade. Plus this explanation just makes sense based on everything we've seen regarding how the Israel shills operate. They are not America First as Charlie was.

IMO this is a deliberate disinformation campaign to cover their tracks. Ted Cruz just popped off with the same bad-faith characterization of Candace that Joel Berry and other Israel First people have been waging. None of this is organic IMO.
What really made Candace angry was the Netanyahu clip. He directly injected himself into this trying to make Charlie a martyr for Israel. Charlie was a martyr for Christ, and if anything else it was America. Both could not be more diametrically opposed to Netanyahu's agenda.

Charlie said on a recent podcast discussion that his criticism of Israel / Netanyahu doesn’t mean he doesn’t love Israel. He compared it to living through the Biden administration & detesting what they stood for, while continuing to love America at the same time. Can’t remember who he was speaking with. The problem is that some donors & others don’t allow this type of criticism against Israel. That’s not good.
Bottom line for me is the fight for control of TPUSA looks to be getting very ugly and that makes me both sad and angry. I have no idea how it is structured - who the legal 'owners' actually are. All indications seem that Charlie was very hands on but did have managers in place for the operations side of things and he was the 'voice'. So it seems the fight is over who will be the voice. But who calls the shots to that voice is key. And without donors, none of it matters. If donors pull out it implodes.

I came out of Dispensationalism after two decades myself as I had never actually challenged what I was being taught. The fact that Charlie was unabashedly pro-America and pro free speech was one of the many reasons i deeply admired him. Last night on Tucker’s live event he admitted that on a recent Charlie show appearance he told Charlie he would keep his criticisms of Israel’s gov’t to himself so as not to offend Charlie’s donor base. But Charlie instead encouraged him to go all in and speak freely, which he did. And then the shakeup with Ackman and the ‘Israel can do no wrong’ crowd went down, which you well described. In the end, Charlie didn’t cower and neither did Tucker. That’s integrity!
I guess only time will tell what comes out in the wash, but i do hope TPUSA stays true to its ideals. I hope it’s his wife who takes the reigns.

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my eldest daughter at 32. Her little brother (9 years younger) adored her. It changed him forever and altered the trajectory of his life. Six years later he's just now able to talk about how much it affected (and still affects) him.

I'm a Christian conservative father of three children. Two of my kids have grown into wonderful Christian adults. Sadly, one has mental issues that caused her to be vulnerable to the demons who push transgenderism online. She "came out" as transgender to my family when she was in college. She lives in California now. Thankfully, she is still civil to us and loves us as best her mindset will allow her to.
But, oh my, how I relate to and grieve for that poor father who had to turn his son in.

We attended a CK memorial in a small red town in a red state. I was dismayed by how many parents said they lost their conservative, kind, loving, Christian children when those kids went off to college. They were speaking out to warn the parents and young people in attendance that, never in a million years would they have guessed that THEIR child could be so completely and quickly brain washed.

As a community I appeal to you all to be careful with your anger to other members here and don’t be so quick to judge. Yes there are leftist trolls and haters on occasion that enter. I’m not talking about them, I’m talking about how we treat each other (who do share the same values and insights) when we post an alternative thought. In the past week I have been blocked by two people I thought were lovely, reasonable, and shared my values because I dared post an alternative thought. One threatened to block me if I replied again, after I had only made a single half sentence comment adding information I had heard reported, without commentary or anything. That’s it. And I was chastised to not argue with her. 🤨 I then replied not to the subject (respecting her wishes,) but to her trying to silence me. She then proceeded to tell me she warned me and blocked me. A second was yesterday when I shared an alternative thinking about free speech, making it clear that it was just where I “presently” was at with my thinking, and trying to have a conversation. She told me I knew that she didn’t mean it that way. I replied again trying to have a convo and she blocked me.
It saddens me. We are all on edge and fed up with dealing with two-faced patriots who are trying to sow discord. I get it. But in that apprehension we are accidentally treating each other as the enemy or as a “bad seed.” I’m trying to give the benefit of doubt that they are grieving, and probably thought I was one of those sh*t stirrers, and deserving of having my voice silenced. Charlie never silenced others, not even the sh*t stirrers actually.
I ask everyone to be careful, please. Be willing to have a conversation and don’t reflexively block someone and assume they’re unworthy of being heard. Don’t threaten others “I will not argue with you and if you continue to reply I will block you”. That threat alone is pure arrogance and closed mindedness. If you disagree and don’t want to talk about it, scroll by. Easy peasy. Convo over. Or - withhold your virtue signal and quietly block if you must.
I’ve never given any view here that was vile or hateful or meant to divide, so I am shocked I was on the receiving end of this. I just wanted the rest to know this was happening. We literally could split our party into two or three other parties who all share the same, key, nonnegotiable values but have minor differences in approach or definitions. That’s a really good thing. People can become confused and have bad days. I try to give them the benefit of the doubt, before eventually ignoring them.
I usually go to their profile when in doubt as to their intentions if I question their post’s validity. When and if I see their ugly comments on various accounts, it shows me a little of who they are. If truly disgusting, I block them cause I don’t want to see their hateful comments and consider some just like to stir up crap. On the other hand, if it’s just a difference of opinion, I welcome the feedback as long as they are polite.

I mainly use Facebook to keep in touch with people who live far away or even local friends I don’t get the chance to see often. I have taken to muting those people who frequently post political stuff. I am happy to discuss those things in person but if that’s all a person posts I am not interested in their page. I want to hear about their family, job, hobbies, travels etc. Not some bumper sticker style superficial comment on current events.
I do the same with Facebook, especially since I worked overseas for so long and have a lot of far flung friends and we can keep track of each other so easily through Facebook. I'm fortunate in that not a one of us ever mentions anything remotely political!
Yes I also have lots of friends overseas and it makes it far easier to stay in touch than trying to keep up with emails, phone numbers and addresses! I’ve lost touch with many people when they moved and was fortunately able to reconnect with some via Facebook.

I've been mostly MIA on the comments the last few days due to C & C hitting my inbox late/just a busy week. If I read at night it's mostly pointless to comment as most have moved on, so I haven't seen it. But things got borderline ugly between a good friend and I over the Israel issue that I have been trying to stay out of. Agree that a lot of people are angry and on edge.

The problem with blocking isn’t so much that the blocker won’t talk to you anymore, or see your posts, it’s that you can’t get to the original post anymore to add further insight to anyone else reading that thread, and so it actually DOES silence you and blast you completely out of the conversation, where there might be 10 others discussing it. You can no longer see their replies and no longer add to it. You are censored.
Blocking in my mind is only necessary when someone is threatening you, stalking and trolling you, or spreading serious lies and hate. It has to meet an extreme level for me to block. But I won’t block a leftist that disagrees with me because I don’t want to kick them out of the conversation that might be edifying to others taking part in that conversation - not because of what the leftist says, but because of witnessing the back and forth interchange.
Blocking is a way to control what others can see and keep a single voice from saying anything more to the participants of that comment. It’s just as bad as anything the left has done to censor us.

I agree with your philosophy on blocking, there are commenters I no longer engage with because they’ve been insulting, unnecessarily rude and vulgar with me or others over just a difference of opinion. I don’t block them though, just ignore them.

Awhile back, there would appear what most of us would consider an objectionable post. There is always the option to report a post, such as those annoying bot posts from Kim and her friends. Beyond that, I always marveled at how almost everyone here simply ignored the bad posts and didn't respond to any of them.

On blocking.... I have a different viewpoint.
When CK was murdered, I had a liberal friend of mine call. I wasn't able to talk to her, simply because I wasn't sure what she'd say, and I didn't want to deal with it at the moment.
People may block others because THEY can't deal with the conflict right now. They can't engage, and it's easier to check out, aka block. It might not be about the person being blocked, but the person blocking.
But … then you just scroll by and don’t engage or read. Blocking doesn’t just block them from YOUR view, it blocks them from EVERYONE’s view who are involved in that particular convo - by keeping them from being able to get to that post again and stay in the conversation with the others replying. It censors their voice and blocks them from being able to say anything else. Now … if it’s a vile, hateful commenter I can understand, but not just because the person gave additional facts they heard reported by the DOJ that differ from what you shared. That alone is not protecting anyone from that person, it’s just punishing them.

It doesn’t block others from seeing your comments up to that point, it DOES block you from getting back into that convo to remain a part of it. I see replies to my posts from kindhearted members in my notifications, and can’t reply back to them because tapping on it goes to the top of the comment section as I no longer am allowed to see the original post. (If the original post you replied to was made by the person who blocked you.)
We just need to be more thoughtful in our use of it. Some people know it censors you and frivolously use it just to do that. Others are like you and unaware what it really does. I give these two the benefit of the doubt and am choosing to believe they didn’t realize how it works and they were just protecting their own “delicate sensibilities”. (That always reminds me of my father when I was a kid, coming out of the bathroom after shaving off his beard with two dots of shaving cream on each ear, saying “I hope I don’t disturb the delicate sensibilities of others with my clean shaven face”. I’d burst out laughing. 😂)
Unblocking can also occur if you just feel so bad about blocking someone.

When it comes to phone calls, emails, and personal relationships i agree sometimes it’s just better to cut the cord so to speak. I’ve struggled with this as well… how do you continue to engage with others when so many topics are off the table and/or they are living in a world of delusions (such as denying biological reality)? And more importantly, why waste your time? Those types of people are truly lost.

Not all, but some of those opposing you could be Bots. They are used to pump up accounts, shift narratives, and to elicit emotions. I can usually spot them when they reply immediately and/or at odd times. Don't waste your time or emotions on what is really just a computer.
Honestly, I think everyone is on edge. I have been sharing a lot about Charlie Kirk on my Facebook page, encouraging people to watch his videos rather than just the sound bites. I had numerous people attack me, share the cherry-picked snippets, call him a racist, call me names, suggest there are other people who should also be assassinated, etc.
At first, I was angry and not as kind as perhaps I could’ve been, but, then, I walked away for 8+ hours and came back with a different attitude.
One of my friends texted me screenshots of someone saying some pretty inflammatory stuff and saying I should report the guy. Instead, I asked him if that was what he really meant. He backpedaled pretty quickly.
Then I posted a screenshot of Charlie Kirk’s tweet about there being no such thing as hate speech. I called on people to have civil debate to keep talking.
This post has drawn some interesting conversations. One swim friend, who is lost to TDS, started ranting that Trump was causing division, that he was horrible, blah, blah, blah… I called her out on it. What she was doing was no different that what she was accusing Trump of doing. Of course, she had an excuse about how it was okay for her to do it, but not Trump.
Yeah… no.
Anyway, I’m happy to have a civil debate. I sit in Charlie’s camp about hate speech. However, I do believe that there needs to be repercussions for people who are encouraging others to kill people they disagree with. Should they lose their jobs? Well, if they are in the medical profession and think it’s okay to change the quality of care depending on whether they believe the person disagrees with them? Yes. If they are a teacher/professor that’s pushing their political beliefs or saying, “so and so needs to die?” Yes, and I don’t care whether they’re republican or democrat. If they are a public official encouraging others to commit violence? Yes.
But we already have laws that state inciting violence is not protected speech.
So, what is your stance. I will happily discuss it without blocking you because, once we lose civil debate, all that’s left is violence.

We tend to be prickly with each other, and I've finally decided that most of us are responding instead to our somewhat-critical father, may he rest in peace, with an attitude of "I may have had to TAKE it from HIM, but I certainly DON'T have to take it from YOU!" There's a documentary from Joel Gilbert called "The Trayvon Hoax". One of the things it shows is how Crump used Rachel Jenteel (not sure about the spelling) as the girlfriend who called him during that fateful night. You are correct… I am confusing the two. In this one. Zimmerman took it into his head to be judge and jury. The cops told him that they had it and not to pursue… but he did anyway. A good friend from high school lives in Sanford, people were very upset with how the whole case was handled. One thing is for sure, God knows what was in their hearts and will judge accordingly.
I think it was an effective strategy for the time. Crump got free rein to be utterly stupid, the prosecution case was absurd, and Zimmerman walked, while Florida didn’t burn.
It was the era of Obama.
The Arctic Frost thing could expose a lot of people who thought they were untouchable to frost bite,,,,what a shame!
Too bad these things take years to amble through the system, time is our biggest hurdle....but, if the states cooperate, Florida could tackle one crime while Missouri tackles another and so on. That would be sweet!!

IMO, if they want to get big time, they must add those poison ingredients. I noticed that as soon as any company gets big they sell out whether they want to or not, the ingredients change. Just recent example, pet food Stella and chewy my dog won't eat anymore and a friend's dog got terrible hives.

Bigelow Tea Company started adding soy lecithin to their teas a few years ago. They used to list it, but switched over to the "natural ingredients" camouflage.
Yes. The FDC has no standards for use of the word “natural.” None. I remember Obama’s FDC guy saying they were changing the standards for “organic.” A product could be 13% nonorganic but still be labeled organic. Reason given was “We don’t want to leave our non-organic friends completely out.”

WOW on S&C food. That's all my senior kitty would eat before she passed of old age. So sad all these wonderful small healthy brands (pet and human alike) end up selling out to the big guys.. and it all turns to garbage.

I'm not much of an ice cream eater anyway, but Cherry Garcia is the only flavor I ever liked, not that I tried many others. It is tragically addictive. But I no longer eat it.
I had to give up NY Super Fudge Chunk. Still miss it but that’s life.
We have a local brand at our local Detweiler’s but I’m still trying to find the Cherry ice cream comparable to Cherry Garcia.

Many years ago (early 1990's) I was in California with friends. Someone bought Ben and Jerry's. The morning I was flying out, there was still a pint left, frozen hard, so I took it with me. This was long before they complained if you brought food on a plane. It was early morning flight, people were looking in dismay at the stale pastries they were being offered. Someone across the aisle asked what I had, and looked REALLY SAD that I had Chunky Monkey for breakfast, and they had stale pastries :D
That was the only time I ate the stuff, it was over-hyped, over-rated, and over-priced. But tasty for breakfast on a dawn flight

I don’t know what happened, of course. But today when I read the transcript of the alleged messages between the assassin and his boyfriend, if these are real, came across as badly faked. They were flowery and full of ultra specific details, not the way of young people communicating in text messages, especially young men. There were so many little incriminating details added. And the guy addressing his partner as “my love” seems a little odd. Some bozo ABC News anchor described the messages as “moving “. I think we need to keep our minds open. It may not be simple as it would appear.

I am too frugal to spend that kind of money on a pint of ice cream. And I will note the competition in the premium pint space has been heating up - 2-3 doors of $5 pints of ice cream in my local stores when I can get a not-quite half gallon of locally made Belfonte for a buck or 2 less. Yeah they are all bad for you, but we all have our vices.
Tillamook is really good imo. I usually prefer to just go to the local ice cream shop though. They sell amazing premium ice cream! And I generally prefer sorbet so that’s saying something!
Gelato is good, too, especially in Florence.

And I am too undisciplined to have it in my freezer at all. :) I have been fighting an addiction to icecream for my entire life and have yet to ‘meet’ any I have not enjoyed. I now just go with a scoop at a time from a local shop and savor every spoonful.

Re: B&J. When I saw that news this morning my first thought was, “Good riddance!”. I was a college student in Burlington in the 70s when they sold their ice cream locally out of a refurbished gas station. Actually used to indulge myself, lol. Then I saw the hypocrisy of two communists cashing in on their brand to become millionaires. How rich (literally & figuratively)! For over 30 years now I have reFUSED to buy a pint of their ice cream and if it is being served to me somewhere I always (politely) decline. Again, good riddance, Jerry!!

I used to live near Burlington in the 80's in high school. B&J was kind of a fixture there. I used to go and buy the factory seconds they'd have in a separate cooler for about half price. It's pretty tasty, especially when it's cheap. After I left VT in college, I learned more about the company and have avoided them.
