Deportation Differences: Though it is at first difficult to see, the real difference is that most, if not nearly all, of the millions of deportations from previous presidents have been new illegals caught while crossing the border. These could be processed much faster because apparently habeas corpus applies more if a person successfully breaks the law for a while before being caught.

Now, DJT has put a veritable stop to border crossings allowing ICE to focus on finding the millions that the previous administration hid throughout the country as well as those that previous administrations missed because they were better funded.

To my way of thinking what is happening now is actual deportations while the previous administrations took deportation credit for what was essentially just a blocked passage.

The unelected Judiciary is eating its own tail. Perhaps this will end in proper audits of all judges. Even still, they are showing us who they are while the Congress that we actually did elect and are supposed to hold them to account does nothing.

Thanks for that. Their source is "Yearbook of Immigration Statistics 2022" (https://ohss.dhs.gov/sites/default/files/2024-03/2023_0818_plcy_yearbook_immigration_statistics_fy2022.pdf) which contains a boatload of tables and statistics. It does not report any data for "deportations" as such, but tallies "NONCITIZEN REMOVALS, RETURNS, AND EXPULSIONS:" in Table 39. Those figures total less than the ones you quote, but there may be some definitional issues. Maybe someone here with more knowledge of the subject will explain the details.

I work in Mexico, deal with CBP daily on return to the US. I remember some of the agent's amusement in the Obama years, as the definition of "deportation" changed. If a vehicle got turned around at Customs on the US side, it was counted as a "deportation". Past years I was told they didn't even track the turnarounds.

On a cheerier note, then again, maybe not, Venezuela holds one of the world's largest oil reserves (of which oil cartels have enjoyed thefting for over 70 years), but seemingly doesn't have a single $$ to show for it.

Lastly, there's likely much more under the surface, as CIA/FBI/Mossad/MI-5, MI-6/Empire are masters at playing the 'long game'. I knew Roberts was compromised when he ruled that the fine for not having health insurance was actually a tax, when the government (BHO regime) had sold it (and argued before the Supreme Court that it wasn't a tax), when it clearly is a fine designed to coerce citizens to do a behavior (in this case to have health insurance), which the federal government was not granted that authority to do. Easily seen as unconstitutional by anyone with an ounce of integrity or two functioning brain cells, and Roberts sided with the commies...

And if they don't like the case {even if they have original jurisdiction, like when TX and a number of other states brought the illegal changes to PA election law to them, they said that "they don't have standing", even though the constitution is clear that in disputes between the states (Article III. Section 2. clause 1) that they have the authority over such cases}, yet they failed to do take up the case in clear violation of their duty.

It is called "bad behavior" per the constitution; thus they should have been removed by Congress.

The Good Behavior Clause protects federal judges from removal for congressional disagreement with legal or political opinions. (“Bad behavior” is not the standard and the word “bad” is not used.)

The ruling you referenced doesn’t apply here since mere disagreement with a court ruling does not meet the constitutional standard.

You are right Mary regarding the word "bad"; the Constitution doesn't use that word in Article III, I used it. I should have probably just quoted the text as written, which is below).

The exact text is: "The Judges, both of the supreme and inferior Courts, shall hold their Offices during good Behaviour..."

Since Supreme Court Judges (Article III, Section 1., Clause 1 term) are not supposed to be political, and they completely and purposefully put their heads in the sand (or other places) with that suit brought by TX (and the other states), it is clearly not "good Behaviour" if they can't even read and have a simple understanding of the Constitution.

State supreme courts, secretaries of states, election boards, governors, etc. cannot simply change election law/procedures (because of "covid" or anything else) without the state legislature (Article I, Section 4, clause 1: Quote "The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof;...").

I fail to see how that can be understood any other way. The framers of the Constitution wanted it to be crystal clear that the state legislatures (the elected body closest to the people) held the authority. Same with the Federal Senators (they were chosen by the state legislatures as their representation at the federal level). "The people" were represented in the House, and the state legislatures, in the Senate. It was really quite brilliant separation of power. The 17th Amendment destroyed that part of our federalist system and look where that has us today... bought and paid for six year term "senators" that are loyal to their donors and not their states... more to it than that, but you get the gist.

In October 2019, the Pennsylvania legislature voted for mail in voting, the governor signed it into law, and after Republicans filed suit in the Pennsylvania Supreme the court sided with the legislature and the governor since courts often do not want to interfere in political matters. In other states, governors declared states of emergencies (a legitimate gubernatorial action)due to the pandemic. I personally disagreed that we were actually experiencing an emergency, but many governors, particularly in blue states understood that by declaring an emergency they could avoid the legislative process. I doubt that you can find a single state wherein a court acted preemptively to change voting laws. SCOTUS played no role in any of this since voting laws are a state function. I don’t understand what you’re saying here. SCOTUS did nothing to rise to the level of impeachment regarding state voting laws.

PA state supreme court extended the 'vote counting' beyond what was legislatively authorized; WI added 'drop boxes', not authorized by the legislature and later (after it was too late) the state supreme court ruled it unconstitutional; the RINO GA SecState engaged in 'consent decrees' to add drop boxes and accept $400 million Zuckerberg funds to 'help' counties with the (s)election. Many other examples and that was just issues that were contrary to Article I, Section 4, clause 1. That doesn't even get into the mechanics of the cheat system to include the electronic vote counting systems and the other irregularities that occurred. It was a perfect storm of rigged and willful negligence on the part of those that should be protecting the Republic. The rot is deep.

My main point is the TX (and the other states that joined them) suit, that the US Supreme Court did not act upon it by saying that a state (and in this case multiple states) did not have "standing". Unconstitutional actions by other states DID and DOES have an effect on other states so how can they possibly not have "standing"?? It makes no logical sense. The US Supreme Court is obligated and has original jurisdiction in issues between states. Their failure to act (their constitutional duty) when the fate of the country is at stake certainly is not "good behavior" and those that chose that route should be removed by Congress.

Also, and a side issue, but a state that "elects" their state supreme court ($100 million dollars plus spent by outside agencies (Soros, et al) in the case of the latest WI 'race', then anything that the supreme court decides IS by definition political. Doesn't PA 'elect' theirs as well? I wonder why they made the decisions they did in 2020???....

The primary question is: How does a state that is affected by the unconstitutional actions of other state(s) not have "standing"? That is what is baffling.

Every state has "standing", if their illegal (unconstitutional changes in election law/procedures) affects the outcome of the election of senators, representatives, and presidential electors in a national election. And clearly it did in at minimum 4 'swing' states (PA, WI, GA, AZ).

I would love to hear the transcript of that discussion between the Justices...

Only cases have standing, so if a case brought by a state is said not to have standing, it’s the case and not the state itself that is the problem. Furthermore, the Supreme Court has declined to hear cases that are political in nature, as opposed to being a case of constitutionality.

Violations of Article I, Section 4. Clause 1 are not political, unless one is a Demoncrat or RINO and want to continue to cheat.

Us constitutionalists want to the entire constitution followed not just when it is convenient. The Supreme Court failed the Republic and her citizens greatly in their cowardly actions in the aftermath of the 2020 (s)election. Everyone of us in this country and around the world paid the price of the illegitimate Biden regime and the death and destruction that ensued during his reign ("covid", the botched Afghanistan withdrawal, et al). Jeff’s analysis is brilliant yet again! By the by, I have an ex-husband who went literally psycho while heavily armed in 2000 after the Bush-Gore election chad-counting farce. He was arrested and placed in a locked psych facility, where he was diagnosed by the county psychiatrist as severely bipolar. He had a brilliant mind but literally couldn’t function on a daily basis. He took swings at psych ward staff, tried to break out of the facility numerous times, and had to be placed in 5-point restraints and shot up with lithium and thorazine. Yet all it took was him threatening to file a writ of habeas corpus, and immediately his case went before a judge who released him from the facility. He promptly went back to our home and literally destroyed the entire house and its contents, explaining to his mother that he thought the cops and the psychiatrist had wired the place with recording devices. Thanks judge!

It’s implied by the acknowledgment of an invasion: “The U.S. Constitution guarantees that the privilege “shall not be suspended, unless when in cases of rebellion OR INVASION the public safety may require it” (Article I, Section 9, paragraph 2).

Just because the invasion was instigated by our own past governments does not mean it’s not an invasion.

Also it’s a “suspension”. That word does not mean a permanent state, but a temporary one.

I also find it interesting that the other case is one of “rebellion” which implies by citizens.

Deporting someone ILLEGALLY in the country should not be seen as bearing any relation to HC.

If a person is in the country ILLEGALLY, the country must have the right to DEPORT him or her. That’s not keeping someone in detention without due process - it’s releasing them OUTSIDE America.

Agreed and point well made; Red or Blue can make those statements (use of language) and their respective crowd cheers as our sovereign rights dwindle. But the Constitution was being severely trampled on not only by Mr. Lincoln but how about the footprints from the 9-11 era? The face of the country changed in the onslaught of the surveillance state, which has continued to grow unchecked. Need an example: Flock Safety cameras. Think those are working in your favor?

Can you think of any other time, like maybe during a 'Public health Emergency' when habeas corpus (has been/could be) suspended? Think about the cruise ship debacle where the passengers were taken prisoner and shipped to military bases, even those who weren't sick. It could be that unscrupulous politicians use scary bad guys like those Venezuelans with man boobs and tatoos to plow the field for the crop they really want to sow, mass incarceration of imaginary infected people. How soon we forget. I get it, it sucks that we have to put up with all these people Biden brought in for this exact debacle to happen. The question is, does this set a precedent that will be used for the next faked pandemic (they are all fake by the way)? If so, is it worth it to set the precedent? You can say that Trump would never let that happen; oh like he didn't let it happen in 2020-and still extols op warp speed? So, yes round them up and deport them to Venezuela or where ever and let their native country deal with them, but don't send them to gitmo II if it triggers this legal absurdity.

I want to believe that SCOTUS is "saving up" for big rulings like Roe v. Wade, but I am becoming increasingly concerned that Roberts, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Barrett have significant pressures on them that we are unaware of and can no longer be relied on to rule soundly and with restraint, adhering to constitutional principles

Gorsuch is the one I find baffling, as he has almost always aligned himself with Alito and Thomas. I keep telling myself that there is more to this than I am privy to, but It seems the Supremes have more than overstepped their boundaries.

*Interesting side note. I read earlier on a reason there is such a push to rescue Garcia and return him to the U.S. Apparently there maybe a connection to the Seth Rich murder in 2016 and Garcia. That murder has never been solved…..

That's an interesting observation. I myself am essentially Calvinist in doctrine though in worship I have a deep appreciation for the reformed liturgy of the Anglican/Episcopal Church.

The whole focus of Scripture is the Incarnation, Life, Death, Resurrection and Ascension of the Messiah, the Second Person of the Trinity. As you pointed out, Calvinists (and others) give short shift to the Ascension which showcases the culmination and total victory of Jesus Christ. Why this is overlooked is beyond me. We tend to view these different aspects of His life as separate doctrines but, in reality, they together constitute the whole of the meaning of His life.

It's unfortunate that His Ascension gets short shift treatment by us as also does the Holy Spirit in reformed doctrine. My contention is that the Ascension brings into focus the full meaning of His entire life and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit into His body on earth fills His body on earth with the authority that is invested with Him who now sits on the throne as King of all kings and Lord of all lords.

The church militant, more than ever, has need to come to a deeper doctrinal understanding of what Christ has accomplished and our role in His kingdom.

Interesting that you use the term church militant, Phil. I thought that was solely a Catholic term. It's a role I take very seriously. The term helps remind us that earthly life is really a battle, and we are really fighting against the rulers and principalities of darkness.

Indeed. Christ's commission to His body on earth is to "go and make disciples of all the nations" because "all authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth." When Christ ascended to His throne at the right hand of the Father, Satan fell to earth from heaven having lost all the authority over the earth that the first Adam had ceded to him. Now Satan is only a squatter on earth and, being empowered by the indwelling Holy Spirit against which no evil spirit can prevail, it is the church militant's job to evict him and bring all things into subjection to Christ's Kingdom. This is our war for which we are well armed as described elsewhere. Satan is nothing more than a squatter with no authority.

400 years in Egypt, 40 years of wandering in the wilderness…It was only two years ago this month that I began to read the Bible as a whole, from the first words of Genesis, and not skipping over anything—not even the pedigrees—and so came to appreciate the repetition of the number. Among other interesting repetitions. Had always before, from 1958 when my church gave me my Bible (and boy is it falling apart!) read in piece-meal fashion.

Boston Marathon today. I heard on FOX Business this morning that a male identifying as a woman is running in the women’s race. What makes this so wrong, is that there is a 3rd race category for non binary runners. It would be great if the women would boycott but, unlikely. Luckily, I kept the bottle of BP meds made in communist China. The label showed the manufacturing companies' name and location.

I also contacted Sen. McCormick on his website complaining about a BP med made in communist China. When Sen. Casey (D-PA) was in office, I had contacted him and received a "we are looking into letter" and then no further correspondence or resolution. I even sent a polite reminder email and never received a response.

Now that I am back on X, I was able to connect with Rosemary Gibson who wrote a book about how the US pharmaceutical system depends on drugs or raw ingredients made in the CCP. In a recent interview with The Epoch Times, she stated that China has refused 150 inspections by the FDA. She also encouraged me to take a photo of the bottle the VA sent me and she posted the images on X.

Men competing in women’s sports is a bigger agenda to erase the sexes and make a free-for-all out of perverted sex, thus “normalizing” the abnormal. People train for months and run races to qualify for the Boston Marathon. This is bigger than one race. I would be disappointed, but I would make a public statement as why I wouldn’t compete with a male in the female category. I’ve run seven marathons and know how much time is devoted to train. Where are all the “women’s right” activists? Oh, that’s right, they didn’t believe it in the first place. It was only a means to upend the social order, and erase the God created differences of male and female.

I appreciate the take on the SCOTUS midnight craziness. It definitely does not have a good look for the SCOTUS, though it's hardly surprising with the tendency of a couple of the justices to side with the more insane takes a bit too often. (Yeah - still a little bitter over that "well, it's a tax" nonsense with the ACA.) But I can see this take in "the courts are out of control" and working their way towards being almost irrelevant. The corrupt judge in NM was a good lead-in to this.

I know in the DFW area, we have the tragic story of a killing involving two students - one whose life was tragically cut short, the other whose family is profiting from the killing in absolutely insane ways. Some have concerns about another "summer of love" for those rulings, though with USAID and other NGO funding seriously cut, I don't know that will happen. But I do have concerns for another crazy OK-esque trial where justice won't be served because of the fears of the judge and such.

They treat it like a human right. Our constitution says “all persons” not “citizens” for this part so they feel it includes everyone on the planet.

I think due process for immigration courts is a bit different than regular courts but they want it treated the same. As far as I can tell the only thing they have to prove is that you are here illegally. That can be done without an individual “hearing” so I see them using due process as a stonewalling tactic. It would take 125+ years to get through individual hearings for everyone here illegally.

I wonder if Jeff could weigh in on whether or not it’s legal to deport them to their home countries to wait for their due process hearing via the US Embassy?

Due Process: 14th Amendment Section 1: All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

First it talks about all persons as citizens. The part about any person is specific to depriving of life, liberty, or property without due process of law. Deportation doesn't seem to fit the description given. There is presumably no deprivation of life, liberty, or property unless the person is first convicted of the many crimes that illegals must commit on a daily basis in order to survive as an illegal alien.

It is darn close to impossible for a citizen to live in the U.S. without breaking some esoteric law or another. When they decide they want to get you, they get you. Consider what lawfare was used against DJT. Now they can claim he is a convicted felon while the obvious gang members have not been convicted of any other crime... blah, blah, blah. Sure, they haven't been convicted of another crime because it is easier and cheaper to deport than to treat them like a citizen and incarcerate them for years on the public dole.

The entire system is an obvious farce that gets rubbed in our faces.

“…nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.” Jurisdiction means under one’s authority and rule, and only citizens are under their rule. Technically there is no equal protection of laws to any person that is not under the authority of that state.

Plus, starting the whole amendment paragraph with clarity on what a citizen is makes it clear to me that the whole amendment was written for citizens only. English and writing always taught how you identify the subject of the entire paragraph in its first sentence.

I wonder if the founding fathers ever fathomed the immense splitting of language hairs going on. How could they know things would be taken out of context to such a degree, and writing norms would be so ignored.

I think Jeff mentioned that when it has been used, historically, it was not intended for the use of 30+ million illegals. So if an illegal was detained, say in New York, at the border trying to sell their wares they would be allowed to have their day in court. This is why the Administration is using the Enemy Aliens Act to be able to deport them quickly. 30+million says in court can't work. 😉
