An evildoer gives heed to lips of wickedness;

A liar gives ear to a destructive tongue.

. . .

A wicked man receives a bribe from the bosom

To thrust aside the paths of justice.

— Proverbs 17:4, 23

“But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and sexually immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

— Revelation 21:8

Do not fret because of those who are evil or be envious of those who do wrong; for like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die away.

Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.

Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him and He will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.

Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret—it leads only to evil. For those who are evil will be destroyed, but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land.

A little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found. But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy peace and prosperity.

The wicked plot against the righteous and gnash their teeth at them; but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for He knows their day is coming.

The wicked draw the sword and bend the bow to bring down the poor and needy, to slay those whose ways are upright. But their swords will pierce their own hearts, and their bows will be broken.

Better the little that the righteous have than the wealth of many wicked; for the power of the wicked will be broken, but the Lord upholds the righteous.

The blameless spend their days under the Lord’s care, and their inheritance will endure forever.

In times of disaster they will not wither; in days of famine they will enjoy plenty. But the wicked will perish: Though the Lord’s enemies are like the flowers of the field, they will be consumed, they will go up in smoke.

The wicked borrow and do not repay, but the righteous give generously; those the Lord blesses will inherit the land, but those He curses will be destroyed.

The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in Him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with His hand.

I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread. They are always generous and lend freely; their children will be a blessing.

Turn from evil and do good; then you will dwell in the land forever. For the Lord loves the just and will not forsake His faithful ones. Wrongdoers will be completely destroyed; the offspring of the wicked will perish. The righteous will inherit the land and dwell in it forever.

🤔 I don’t know what this means if anything….

but as I was reading my Bible (the book of John) in bed last night and fighting off sleep to read just a little more, the last sentence I read was: He who is without sin cast the first stone. Then I nodded off with my head still propped upright by my hand. At that moment I heard a clear voice repeat Donald Trump, Donald Trump, Donald Trump. After about the 5th repeating of his name I shook myself awake.

I was confused why this was said in my ear and if it had any meaning since I was not thinking about anything but the Scriptures.

Anyone have any idea what this could mean?

God bless you all, and God have mercy on our country.

And that, boys and girls, is what justice looks like in the land of the free, home of the brave. Without the brave.

This is going to take more than donating to a campaign and voting in November. Both send a message, but require no bravery and thus are hollow.

Bravery means staring down the system, involves taking risk, making sacrifices.

Remember how all of the largest corporations wrote massive checks and society came to a stop to protest systemic injustice towards a race, the Summer Canonization of St Floyd?

Every large entity you know participated. Businesses who's services and products you need and rely on in your day-to-day life, perhaps even your employer, your relative's employer. All wrote multi-million dollar checks to protest systemic injustice. Mostly to Marxist BLM.

Where are they now that no greater systemic injustice has been committed in our nation's history? Why are you/we still doing business with them, working for them when they remain silent, or even support this systemic injustice?

I'll tell you. Because it involves sacrifice. It involves risk. It requires bravery to stop doing business or quit a job with Marxist BLM-supporting corporations that only take a stand against systemic injustice when it serves the tyrant's interests and ignore systemic injustices against We, The People.

WE, The People, are not brave when we won't take risks and make sacrifices to stand against systemic injustice. This isn't just about Trump, it's about us. Our freedom. We cannot be the Land of the Free without the brave. The price for freedom is demanding payment today. Trump's campaign is one bill. The bigger bill is to be paid by declining the conveniences and comforts offered by our oppressors. The corporations that remain mute and/or support the injustices against We, The People, who Trump is a stand-in for. Either they are with us, or they are against us. Will you continue to do business as usual with our enemies? Or be brave? The cause of freedom itself is the stakes.

Exactly. Land of the free doesn't exist without the brave. Bravery isn't just about warfare. I've met Congressional Medal of Honor recipients. The highest honor given in the nation. To those in uniform who've exhibited uncommon bravery and valor under enemy fire. None of them - I've met many having worked on behalf of all of the Congressionally-chartered veteran service organizations (VSO's) in the nation, over sixty of them - none of the CMOH recipients thought what they did was especially brave as they were doing it. They just did what they thought needed to be done in the moment, putting personal considerations aside.

They had a higher duty that called them. And they answered. And know that those who were honored posthumously outnumber those who received them living. Real risk. Real sacrifice. No greater sacrifice a man can make. For the cause of liberty and freedom.

What is asked of us? For the cause of liberty and freedom? What are we willing to give? Are we willing to answer the call? The future depends on our individual and collective answering it, putting personal considerations aside.

the reasin the US is not mentiond is because that lis of coutries involved were all countries in existsnc then, and the things predicted about them were to happen to them "soon" (reread the opening paragraph os the Revelation.. what is this about? Plainly stated by John.. and all "shortly to come to pass".

ALL the things predicted in that book have happened in history already. READ Jesus' own words as He is alone with the Twelve up on the mountain.. Matt 23, 24, around there. He details a short list of things that WILL happen... mar of the beast, destruction ofJerusalem, persecution, tribulation, the abomination of desolation as the key CLUE to the happpening now of the temple destruction, AND what to DO when they see that happen...... then they all ask Lor, when will THESE THINGS be?" Go and read that now, and note well His answer. Now ask yourself one more question: Can, or has, Jesus ever lied? If no, rest assured ALL THESE THINGS have indeed come to pass within the time frame HE described, which easily explains why the United States is never mentioned.

For extra credit, and your own amusement and edification, find and read some of the secular history so well recorded from the time frame relevant. These records are extensive and considered accurate. Romans, and the Jews, kept excellent records, all well preserved, translated into readable english, and available at no cost online. None of them include a word about the United States, either. Same reason the Revelation of John does not.

Simple stuff.

Interesting! A lot of the endtimes prophecy is in the OT, the book of Daniel, & the US is not referred to there, either. I've always read Revelation as the prophecy of Christ's coming to set up His Kingdom on earth, that Heaven & earth will pass away & a new Heaven & a new earth/New Jerusalem will be created in it's place. Before this, believers will be raptured if they have not already passed to their eternal reward, & a time of tribulation will occur that unbelievers will suffer through without the help of the Holy Spirit. Yes, Revelation states it will occur shortly, or soon, but our concept of time is not as God's, our minds can't understand Him until we join Him. He does hold the entire universe (not just what is observable to us) in the palm of His hand. And the history of the Israelites, Abraham, Noah, Jacob, Isaac, Joseph, David, Jesus are being confirmed by new discoveries every day! Jesus is right now sitting at the right hand of God the Father & just waiting to get the signal to begin. All so very fascinating when you read the Bible as a complete book! Thanks for sharing.

Revelation is the proof that Jesus DID indeed come again (in judgement of Israel the Great Harlot) and set up His kingdom.. the Church. He declared that this Gospel will be preached into the whole world and then the"end" will come. read carefully Acts... the gospel was indeed preached to "the whole world" on just the one day of Pentecost, then shortly after that again,, and 8,000 were "added to the church" on just those two days alone. Read Acts. (note: that greekword we render as "into the whole world" is precisely the same greek word which describes Caesar Augustus taxing and censing "the whole world", which very handily brought Jesus' parents to Bethlehem for is birth, just s the scruptires predicted hundreds of years before.

Read the secular history, and writings of the early church leadership... the persecution began in tthe early days of Nero's wretched reign, and as that would down after his death by suicide in April of 68, the "lid" that had been keeping the crazy "zealots" (the ones wjo arranged for Jesus to be crucified) within tolerable bounds was removed,, and they went nuts. Josephus, the Jewish historian has written much in great detail of that time period... from about the death of Nero up until two divisions of the Roman army destroyed firs the Temple then the entire city and all the surrounding lands, leaving the whole area desolate, barran, vacant, destroyed. I have read of some of the heinous atrocities the "jewish" zealots inflicted upon the residents of Jerusalem in the period between the suicide of Nero (he well deserved it) and the complete destruction of ll Jerusalem and surrounds.. from April 68 through about the year 73. That is the tribulation Jesus, and Jhn, predicted.

Remember, Jesus when He described what was coming, gave a very specific time frame when pressed as to "when will these things be?".

Nero began his hard persecution of the christiains in about October of his first year, 66. He died in Paril of 68. Count the months..... now, count the months from his death (the beginning of the tribulation now the zealots were no longer held back by Nero) up until the destruction of the temple...... you should recognise the specific lengths of time, and where those specific time periods are foretold.

So yes, His kingdom IS NOW established in the earth, and will continue to grow until He returns to take us Home.... and to judge those who refuse to submit to Him.

There is a book a friend of mine recommended, and I found incredibly fascinating and helpful. Before Jerusalem Fell, by Ken Gentry. He is a known bible scholar, this book is a rewrite of this Doctor of Divinity dissertation. His goal, reached in Spades, was to document the details of all the things that happened in the run-up to the destruction of Jerusalem. This is not intended to be a "christian book, but instead an istprical account of all the things that happened in the time leading up to the fall of that harlot city in 708 and right after. Exhaustive research in the secular, and early church, records. His rewrite from his dissertation is very well done.. very approachable by a mature readership, yet not technical and tedious. The footnotes on almost every page are exhaustive, and he also gives loads of references to the work of other scholars. He did not set out to find evidence to support his preconceived ideas. He set out on a voyage of discovery to find out what really DID happen in the run-up to the total devastation of Jerusalem. It is a long piece... 700 pages, but it draws the reader in to the times and the story. He is not trying to prove or support any particular "school of eschatology", merely doing an "archaelogical dig" into the extant records. I found my copy in eBay, I think for about $25, which is lower than most I've seen. The book arrived and I had to go back and check whether the item description said new or used. It was used... but the book had not one mark or flaw in it, and I've read cover to cover and reviewed again. If you really want answers to the "which came first" and "which followed after" questions, get and read it. SO MUCH of modern "eschatology" is bunkum and worse. Particularly horrid are the teleprofits er, squeeze me, the teleprphets blathring on and on about so much fantasy, each one of them having their own 'correct" assessment of the details.. I was forced to wade through for separate videos presented by one of the local elders instead of teaching Wed nights. All four proclaimed what THEY say as absolutely the real "Mark of the Beast" that is "coming to get us" and prattle on they do, so conVINCingly. Hold their theory up to what Jesus said about that Mark when He was with his guys up on the Mount of Olives... NONE of them have a shred of truth in them. Gentry describes that "mark" and provides contemporary history of wha it was, how one got it, and what it allowed. Jesus' simple talk on that "detail" proves any of the current crop of "i know what the Mark is....let me explain it to you" I am convinced none of them have even read Jesus' words on the matter.

Ahhhh. I have prattled on overlong. I shall end this.

I know it's a tall order, and I'm only one man. It's a quixotic, perhaps even Sisyphean battle, but it's the only one worth waging. The sysops are the great Satan. Our brethren are his potential pawns. We have to set the example for them and remain resolute.

Are you not paying attention? Yes, the judge is above the law. Trump will not become president. There is 0 chance that they are actually stupid enough to do everything they are doing and then hand the presidency to Trump, or anyone else. The democracy in the USA disappeared a few years ago and people just aren't acknowledging it yet. They will do what was done in Ukraine, declare an emergency, then Martial law and the elections may not happen at all.

I think Trump will win the election but before inauguration they will start WW3 or some false flag with Trump supporters or maybe some of the illegals coming across the border will be called into action for an attack of some kind. Whatever way they decide, probably more than one way, it will happen. The USA republic is over but one president before they claimed it would be.

Thinking laws, courts, elections or any kind of civil 'check' or 'balance' will come along and save us is stupid. Donlad Trump will not be president no matter what additional laws have to be broken and it doesn't matter what you think. What are you going to do about it? Right, nothing. They won, we lost, its been over for a long time. The optimism and faith in SOMETHING has infected this Stack. Can we talk about reality yet?

In many respects, I wish I disagreed with you Gary; that I might consider what we are witnessing, not only in America but throughout the Western nations with historically Judeo-Christian cultures, a bad dream from which we would awake.

But I can’t, I don’t - and I haven’t for quite a long time.

In the eyes of many of those with whom I have shared such beliefs, that has made me a pariah, object of scorn/ridicule, ‘crazy conspiracy theorist’, etc… In my case, this has been going on since 2019, and it has often been quite an unpleasant experience. That said, the most ‘unpleasant’ reactions of all, have come from people who I regard as brothers and sisters in Christ; true, born-again Christians, to be more exact.

I understand the varied reasons for this, and I realize that I can’t change that - or any other - reality; only God can. And surely, at least in my mind, that is the essential REALITY that we who are Christ-followers must be focused on and talking about.

God has spoken to the world through His Word, all that is truly necessary for anyone to know about reality; most importantly, the reality and source of mankind’s doom, and the cure for that tragic condition. I won’t expound upon the subject further here, except to say this: Ultimate reality is God; the only readily-available source of ultimate Truth is the Word of God, and the only True source of Hope in this world, is to be found in the person and the personal sacrifice of the Son of God, Jesus Christ, through Whom God the Father offers salvation to all who have ‘(actually, as opposed to profess) ‘love for the Truth’ and, therefore, acknowledge and surrender themselves in obedience to it.

John 3:16-21

“16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”

18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.”

“21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”

2 Thessalonians 2:7-10

“7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.”

“9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.”

May God bless, guide, and keep us all, empowering us to live lives of true and lasting meaning, purpose, and value - for His glory, and the glory of His Kingdom…

It’s the “What are we going to do and how are we going to do it” questions that need to be asked and answered. America is waking up, and action is inevitable. Is that secession ? Is that a government coup? I don’t know…but I do know SOMETHING is happening. Something mighty. And I and many others are ready to take action.

It is possible to be right and wrong all at the same time. And it is so very easy to be right and wrong at the same in a world run largely by deception. And the control freaks running the country like this state of affairs because 'right and wrong' all at the same time is confusion, and confusion is a confused mind, and all the more easy to manipulate the masses (that is, up to now).

Inside the box there is a factional war going on ... but it's between the Uniparty and those at the very top of the ruling pyramid who are trying to save 'their franchise' from utter ruin by doing an end run roll back. The roll back in progress is a normalization reaction to a broken polity of lunatic broken everything. But there is also outside the box in which are the things most of us here at C & C desire with reference to the era of American founding and the Law upon which the American Constitutions are based.

I've said it a thousand times, nobody gets on the Presidential Debate State all by his little lonesome. And getting on that stage is somewhere 'an inside the box' game. We clearly need and want more, but that would be 'outside of the box' .... and a very long, long conversation.

And so, without proper delineation, it is possible to be right in one sense ... but also not see the forest for the trees. My whole experience in all of this is that it is very difficult to crack open the door in order to see the light of day stream in.

I just get annoyed when people are SOOOOO certain that Trump is fighting the good fight, and can't even acknowledge the possibility that this is all Kabuki theatre. They can't even acknowledge the reality that he did push the poison death shot and he did run the deficit up an unprecedented $8 trillion.....it makes me worried for our country if people can't see this - especially considering they seem to think they are awake and really see what is going on. I'm smart enough to know I may be very much in the wrong and like you said, it is virtually impossible to know what is actually going on behind the scenes.

Have you seen Susy Wiles (trump's campaign manager) ties to shady organizations? Just another glaring inconvenient fact that the die hard maga folk are unwilling to see.

Expand full comment
daverkb's avatar

It is very, very difficult to penetrate one's gaze beyond the mists and clouds obscuring what the deuce is really going on. It has taken me decades just to begin to get a fix on things. And even then, who is it really running the show? I presume it is what I call the Apex Money centered in central banking control ... the New York, Washington and City of London Crowd primarily. And even insiders high up have difficulty in precisely identifying who's who. Catherine Austin Fitts pretty much says the same thing. And her term for the ones really in charge is simply a nebulous ... Mr. Global. But nonetheless we can make some good guesses as to what constitutes reality operant with a little real education behind us, the kind of things one never reads or is taught about in the schools and universities.

What you say resonates within me as well. And it is cause to the tearing of my hair out, especially given that most people apparently are sightless to what is going on. I remind myself though, that there nothing novel here in this.

It is Kabuki Theater for the General Public. But also, and in varying degrees, Kabuki Theater for those who occupy positions of power. My guess, and it's purely a guess, it that most attendees at the WEF and such like-minded organizations are to varying degrees deluded. And the operand word is 'varying' ... and that's varying by emotional in investiture as well as intellectual acumen. People, even here at C & C, are always, and always repeated over many times ... all over the map.

Yes, Trump is problematic ... meaning full of problems and contradictions. And yet, he stands for something. Otherwise, he would not have risked everything just to find himself mired down in courtrooms across the country. And admittedly, one would have to have some degree of prolonged interface with the political establishment to begin to have insight into the problems Trump faced as a political insider-outsider. And having had some experience here, I have to regard the Trump first term a mere Beta Testing. And this would take yards of scribbling to get into.

The forces of Marxism, both parties led by NeoCons, have been supremely stupid every step of the way. American policy, international and domestic indeed has been stupid every step of the way. I could see this back in the 1960s when one of the leather mill owners in town opened up in the Philippines. This was not good for home town jobs. And for sure, it was an indication that the US was pricing itself out of international competition, really due to living too high off the hog qua official policies being put into place.

Here is the latest Grand Stupidity of all Stupidities. It is the Stupidity which broke the camel's back. The Geniuses on the Potomac actually thought that they could bring down Putin and Russia by collapsing the government with financial sanctioning, including denial of access to SWIFT. At the time, I could not believe that this was the whole reliance of their strategy. I mean, who could be that stupid? Well, Jeffery Saches who is an insider pretty much confirms this in the Tucker interview.

And guess what? I still find it hard to believe that 'these people' were and are this stupid. But they are.

I see a lot of headlines perusing the internet...' Alvin Bragg, we accomplished what we set out to do".

Let's not forget that Soros put him in.

He is also destroying NYC, where Trump's misdemeanor at best becomes a felony and the REAL FELONS don't need bail and are walking free, destroying more people's lives.

Yesterday a machete wielding criminal attacked someone in McDonald's at Times Square!

This is my point exactly.

This is how I counteract online those ignorant who are happy and don't even realize what the case was about!

(Apparently at one point neither did the jurors. I was listening to a breakdown on conservative radio in the car. They asked the judge for some clarifications. His response, as I recall the lawyer on air sharing it, was something to the effect of 'don't worry about it') Conclusion: He just wanted a conviction.

The judge withheld written 55 page instructions in order to keep them coming back to Merchan for him to guide them to guilty.

I hope NYers realize as they are assaulted and murdered that this is what they voted for. Prosecution money only goes to process non-crimes while violent felons roam free. Enjoy!

I went to bed mad last night. I woke up mad, a little earlier than usual. For these occasions, I keep a little kid-sized electric guitar next to my bed - when I'm stressed out, I play that to calm down and re-focus on something other than my distress. It's been working really well for me; a couple of years ago, I was waking up with panic attacks in the middle of the night. Now I grab the guitar and play till I feel sleepy. The other benefit is improved playing, at least on my back ; ) .

This morning, I took my anger and frustration out on the guitar, and was playing with both ferocity AND precision. I think I may be to the point where I can use this as a force for good in the world, and not just as a stress-reduction exercise. So Motivated - yeah..

If there is no WWIII, it could well be because Russia is now a sane country with sane leadership. Sane people are capable of thought and restraint. Insane people (and countries) are incapable of both lucid thought and restraint ... and furthermore, run rampantly to ruin (because they are out of touch with reality).

There could well be other factors of avoidance, but the above is something I entertain in the back of my mind. And Russia may well be induced towards restraint knowing that there only some five scant month left to the American election, at which time everything could change with a Trump win. And besides, Russia has other ways to get back at United States, covertly and financially. And it is the long game which will be the more effective and perm-ant game decisive. It is the long game which is changing the world's balance of power calculation.

I am kind of where Jeff is on this one. Angry, yes - but more of a resolve. And I think it's ultimately good news. They've crossed a line. They had already crossed some lines with their pedo activities in the schools and their persecution of Trump. Witness the Bronx rally, which wouldn't have happened just 5 years ago.

It is sickening, but it's just the natural culmination of what they've been doing for years. And now it's all out in the open for the world to see, including the people celebrating it. It finally happened to someone with the money and the personal character (a stubbornness that I recognize :-)) to withstand it and see it through; to not just give up and walk away like everyone before him has done.

I know a lot of folks are saying this will be marked as a dark day in history, but I think it will actually be the opposite. I think it will be marked as the day things started to turn b/c the corruption of the system became widely known.

I hope you’re right about the turning point. I want to be optimistic, but I’m afraid there are far too many of (what Rush Limbaugh used to call) ‘low information voters’. People who still watch The View and CNN, this will only feed their bad case of TDS.

One very encouraging figure that I heard today, is that 27% of the donations that came in after the sham verdict, were from NEW donors. I think that number is astounding.

Well, I hope I'm right too, lol. I figure the low info voters already hate him about as much as they can. They've been fed 9 years of constant lies and slurs against him. And it seems that once anyone gains any level of info, they move toward, not away, from Trump.

FWIW, the first poll after the verdict showed Trump gained 6 pts, and he was already winning prior to that poll. It's just one poll, but still interesting. At some point, there just aren't enough fake votes to swing a state election. They'd need to have 11M votes in a state with 10M people. So, I am hopeful, but obviously not certain.

I hadn't heard that 27% figure, but it would be impressive. That many new donors for someone who is as known a quantity as Trump should scare his opponents.

Freebird's avatar

Voter fraud is still a concern. I’m not sure how well that’s been addressed since the last election. I could be mistaken, but I seem to recall that scenario in one of the swing states then…more votes counted than registered voters.

All we can do is hope and PRAY!

It is CERTAINLY CHRIST LIKE to LOVE JUSTICE and to see righteousness carried out!! David prayed for God's righteous revenge on evil doers and at just the right time David carried out the law against evil, murderers, liars, and perverts of morality. We have lost our knowledge of truth, of righteous law, and of serving justice. We no longer use the death penalty against those who have murdered. We no longer have law protectors that aren't more loving of money. Our society is...

Revelation 3:14-22 And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These things saith The Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, The Beginning Of The Creation of God: I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So because thou art lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spew thee out of My mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and have gotten riches, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art the wretched one and miserable and poor and blind and naked: I counsel thee to buy of Me gold refined by fire, that thou mayest become rich; and white garments, that thou mayest clothe thyself, and that the shame of thy nakedness be not made manifest; and eyesalve to anoint thine eyes, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I reprove and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear My voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me. He that overcometh, I will give to him to sit down with Me in My throne, as I also overcame, and sat down with my Father in His throne.

I was where you were yesterday, and I still sort of am. I am feeling SO angry and also very fearful. Because this isn't about Trump. This is about the fascists showing us our constitution is a piece of toilet paper and they can lock up anyone at any time for any reason just because they don't like them. That's fascism and that's what our country is now. We just didn't know it until 2020 (or I didn't). Then I started thinking about it more last night. Trump must know things we do not. Would a man with his money and his connections allow himself to potentially go to jail? He had a million options other than that courtroom, and he chose to sit there. So there must be a plan. I just don't know exactly what it is. My prayer? The plan is to show how corrupt this horrible system is and fire everybody up enough that we let him dismantle the whole damn thing.

RunningLogic's avatar

Yes it is odd that he would go through all of this, when I’m sure he could’ve found a way out. I know some say it’s part of some grand plan to get us behind him and then have him go against us. That seems like a very complicated and uncertain way to get to an objective. I find it hard to believe such a convoluted plan.

Expand full comment
Jen's avatar

That one I am not thinking...maybe I am naive? I just can't quite see that one. I do know we cannot live through 4 more years of Biden, so there had better be a plan to get Trump in place. Whatever that plan is. But I will say one thing that does give me pause was when I first saw Bush snuggling up to the Obama's the way he did. It made me see that it was all an act. All those years we thought they hated each other and were fighting for our rights (against each other), it was an act the whole time. So I do wonder if this could be that too? I honestly don't know. Anything could happen before November - people are saying they think the CIA will take him out. At this point, that's not a wild conspiracy theory, literally anything could happen. It's a bit hard not being able to even imagine what this country will look like by the end of this year, you know? I miss 2019 when I was just going about my little life, none the wiser.

RunningLogic's avatar

I am guessing it will likely be something no one has predicted or expected. That’s often the way things go.

I agree about the Bushes and Obamas and Clintons being so buddy buddy, it’s nauseating. They’re definitely in cahoots. I do think Trump was more apolitical when he was in business previously, he just went with whatever seemed to be helpful to him. When he started seeing what was going on and how this country was going downhill, I think he started to take notice and then decided to get involved. I don’t think he expected to resonate so much with people. It took him by surprise but then he started to get serious about it. The left was outraged when their appointed queen Hillary was not put into place and vowed to do anything to take Trump down. After they used Covid to cheat in 2020, they thought he was done. But then he came roaring back to their dismay and they tripled down.

I agree, whatever happens, we need to get Biden and his ilk out. For good. However long it takes and however hard that may be. We can’t give up on that. I hate seeing the comments here that basically seem to say,, ah well, it’s over, can’t be helped, we’ll all be their slaves. What kind of defeatist attitude is that??? I’m so glad our founding fathers were not that weak minded to give up after some opposition.

And yes, my son says he wishes we could go back to his things were in 2019 all the time, and I agree with him 😕 But here we are, what’s done is done, we can’t change the past, only forge ahead!

Expand full comment
Jen's avatar

yes! I completely agree with you. That's the one thing I always come back to with Trump. I think he cannot stand for his country to be a loser. People always get on him and say it's about ego with him, but I don't think that's it exactly. Maybe it is that he can't stand being a loser so much that when he sees his country as the loser of the world (as we've become...China's punching bag, a world laughingstock)..maybe it really is too much for him?

And you're right - we MUST keep fighting. Here's the thing people who say those things don't seem to realize. By giving up, they're consenting to death. You can't comply your way out of tyranny. These people's end game is for us to be gone. They've said it 7 million different times in a 7 million different ways, all meaning the same thing. They view machines and compliant AI as their future. Annoying humans, gone. Just giving up isn't going to be an option. Like they're going to let us live in these micro cities and they'll just keep us around as pets I guess? Is that what they're envisioning? Yeah no, once AI really gets going and there's very little work for us to do, they'll speed up their plan to eliminate us.

The reality is our creator put us here for just this purpose. As miserable and uncomfortable as we are with our mission, he gave it to us for a reason. We have to see it through.

"a single garment of destiny" that's lovely writing. They think they have us all in the cognitive infrastructure of media, and cell phones, and computers, and 5G towers, but we are all deeply interwoven in the collective unconscious and in our highest selves and souls, even if we don't believe in them. There's a great story about the physicist Niels Bohr and the horseshoe he had nailed to his house or barn, and someone asked him why, being scientific and against superstition, he would nail up such a horseshoe. He said "they say it works whether you believe in it or not"
