I have a God story. I recently lost a 95 yr old friend—strong mind and spirit but her body was failing. A couple of days before she died she called her son. She told him there was a man in her room. Mary Ann, when my husband was dying from cancer he woke me up talking in his sleep. I said sweetheart, who are you talking to? He said the angels are here, they are all around our bed. Oddly, that brought me comfort. He knew what he saw even though I couldn’t.
Similarly, my mom told us there was a man standing at the door of her of her room just standing and waiting fora few days before she passed. We do get reminders of His plans and availability!
My mother couldn't talk in her final days because she had Parkinson's. But she kept pointing up near the ceiling in the corner of the room. I believe she saw an Angel.

I’ve read there are many levels of hell and then there is purgatory where we get purified before we can be with God. As Jesus said we need to pay the last penny.
I believe that Jesus loves all of us and wants all of us to be with Him for eternal life. That’s why we received free will and I believe He will give us many chances to repent. It’s not a one and done based on what someone wrote in Hebrews.
Look at Luke 16, where Jesus tells about the rich man and poor Lazarus. I tried to attach a great article I found but Substack wouldn't let me. I recently advised everyone I had received the Pieta Prayer books and had offered to send them by mail to anyone who asked for one (well, the seven I have remaining).
But I also have to make a clarification to set the record straight. I first heard about the story from someone else on here, name not important but it touched me. And they told me it was about an American in Italy living with monks who created it.
I did a little more research and, well, it turns out that is not true, I/We were sold a bill of goods! The Pieta Prayer Book - also known as the Little Blue Prayer Book - was created in the early 1970s by Harry Faulhaber and his wife Lillian in southwest Michigan. It began as a simple, pocket-sized collection of favorite traditional Catholic prayers intended as a s small spiritual gift for parish home visits.
So, now the record is straight and I can go on living! :-)
All that said, the Pieta Prayer Book is an exceptional prayer book, at least from my reading of it. So, don't discount it, because someone provided the wrong information about it's origins.

Last week, our Commander in Chief concluded his speech by giving all of us a task: Call your Senators and any other Senator and ask them to pass the SAVE Act. Fill their phone lines and emails with polite encouragement to pass the SAVE Act and save our country.
The SAVE act is unconstitutional. States control their own elections. Do you want the next Biden or whoever to have control of elections? Why is this not even discussed here?
The Constitution explicitly gives Congress authority over federal elections. Article I, Section 4: "The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations. "
States administer elections, but Congress sets the rules for federal races. This isn't ambiguous, it’s right there in the text. The SAVE Act requiring proof of citizenship for federal elections falls squarely within that enumerated power. States can run their own state and local elections however they want.
The Biden comment makes no sense either. The SAVE Act doesn't give any president control over elections, it just says you have to prove you're a citizen to vote in federal elections. That's a statutory requirement, not an executive power grab. If anything, it removes discretion by making the standard clear and uniform.
The "states control elections" talking point is a half-truth that ignores the actual constitutional framework. States administer. Congress regulates federal races. That's the design.
Also well spoke! "Time, places, and manner" are pretty specific descriptions of the extent to which states can control elections within their borders. To my mindn, those words don't include deciding that non citizens get included, or that anybody who shows up can vote. Unfortunately the "manner" probably can include mail in ballots, though Congress still "may by law make or alter those regulations".
I won't reiterate what Michelle Flanigan put so eloquently, but I will add that Obama specifically refused to enforce section 8 of the National Voter Registration Act where states are required to keep their voter rolls clean. That's one of the many ways cheating went on across the country. J Christian Adams wrote about it. Read his book. Now that other ways of cheating occur, new laws are needed to ensure Americans votes aren't watered down. States still run their elections.
I agree we need watermarked paper ballots which will most likely be in our future, but the cheating happens many different ways. One solution will not solve it all. If your voter roll is bloated, cheating can happen with paper ballots.
Explain to me how a law passed by Congress with specific requirements is then controlled by the Executive? At worst the President can NOT enforce the law, but they can't change the law.

I recently installed a concrete birdbath in a garden bed. It is on a pedestal and the water-holding concrete vessel was new & pristine. After a rain storm, the water-holding vessel is now stained - an offensive orange color from the chemicals in the daily & nightly chemtrails. The stain is permanent inside the bird bath. In early 1970, I began noticing chemtrails in Houston area. Over the years, wrote and called elected representatives to request investigation and effect law. All to no avail spanning 5 decades. Along with years being scoffed by friends and family who still think chemtrails are contrails. Haven’t given up and had hopes with DJT using Federal level to stop the aerial dumping. Some States have effected legislation banning chemtrails but Federal overrides State regulations. Chemtrails have gotten worse every single day and night and are definitely a grave crime against humanity and nature.

He was one of the only attorneys systematically breaking down the COVID legal overreach in real time when everyone else was cheering it on. Easy to critique the guy in the arena when you're in the bleachers.

I have a God story. I recently lost a 95 yr old friend—strong mind and spirit but her body was failing. A couple of days before she died she called her son. She told him there was a man in her room. Mary Ann, when my husband was dying from cancer he woke me up talking in his sleep. I said sweetheart, who are you talking to? He said the angels are here, they are all around our bed. Oddly, that brought me comfort. He knew what he saw even though I couldn’t.
Similarly, my mom told us there was a man standing at the door of her of her room just standing and waiting fora few days before she passed. We do get reminders of His plans and availability!

I’ve read there are many levels of hell and then there is purgatory where we get purified before we can be with God. As Jesus said we need to pay the last penny.
I believe that Jesus loves all of us and wants all of us to be with Him for eternal life. That’s why we received free will and I believe He will give us many chances to repent. It’s not a one and done based on what someone wrote in Hebrews.
Look at Luke 16, where Jesus tells about the rich man and poor Lazarus. I tried to attach a great article I found but Substack wouldn't let me. John Piper wrote, and I agree based on Scripture: “So one of the reasons there is no salvation after death is that there is this chasm fixed. And I think the reason it is fixed is because the Holy Spirit is given, He is poured out on this world, to bring people to conviction of sin, and there is no Holy Spirit promised in hell. If we push Jesus away and refuse to yield to the work of the gospel in our hearts in this world, there will be no reason to think that our hearts will be softened in the conflicts or in the torments of hell.” Human nature does not like the doctrine of hell, but it is in the Bible.

But I also have to make a clarification to set the record straight. I first heard about the story from someone else on here, name not important but it touched me. And they told me it was about an American in Italy living with monks who created it.
I did a little more research and, well, it turns out that is not true, I/We were sold a bill of goods! The Pieta Prayer Book - also known as the Little Blue Prayer Book - was created in the early 1970s by Harry Faulhaber and his wife Lillian in southwest Michigan. It began as a simple, pocket-sized collection of favorite traditional Catholic prayers intended as a s small spiritual gift for parish home visits.
So, now the record is straight and I can go on living! :-)
All that said, the Pieta Prayer Book is an exceptional prayer book, at least from my reading of it. So, don't discount it, because someone provided the wrong information about it's origins.

The SAVE act is unconstitutional. States control their own elections. Do you want the next Biden or whoever to have control of elections? Why is this not even discussed here?
The Constitution explicitly gives Congress authority over federal elections. Article I, Section 4: "The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations. "
States administer elections, but Congress sets the rules for federal races. This isn't ambiguous, it’s right there in the text. The SAVE Act requiring proof of citizenship for federal elections falls squarely within that enumerated power. States can run their own state and local elections however they want.
The Biden comment makes no sense either. The SAVE Act doesn't give any president control over elections, it just says you have to prove you're a citizen to vote in federal elections. That's a statutory requirement, not an executive power grab. If anything, it removes discretion by making the standard clear and uniform.
The "states control elections" talking point is a half-truth that ignores the actual constitutional framework. States administer. Congress regulates federal races. That's the design.
Also well spoke! "Time, places, and manner" are pretty specific descriptions of the extent to which states can control elections within their borders. To my mindn, those words don't include deciding that non citizens get included, or that anybody who shows up can vote. Unfortunately the "manner" probably can include mail in ballots, though Congress still "may by law make or alter those regulations".
I hope this is correct and it is as simple as stated.
I won't reiterate what Michelle Flanigan put so eloquently, but I will add that Obama specifically refused to enforce section 8 of the National Voter Registration Act where states are required to keep their voter rolls clean. That's one of the many ways cheating went on across the country. J Christian Adams wrote about it. Read his book. Now that other ways of cheating occur, new laws are needed to ensure Americans votes aren't watered down. States still run their elections.
As I have stated numerous times before, none of this matters until we have paper ballots that are hand counted.
I agree we need watermarked paper ballots which will most likely be in our future, but the cheating happens many different ways. One solution will not solve it all. If your voter roll is bloated, cheating can happen with paper ballots.

I recently installed a concrete birdbath in a garden bed. It is on a pedestal and the water-holding concrete vessel was new & pristine. After a rain storm, the water-holding vessel is now stained - an offensive orange color from the chemicals in the daily & nightly chemtrails. The stain is permanent inside the bird bath. In early 1970, I began noticing chemtrails in Houston area. Over the years, wrote and called elected representatives to request investigation and effect law. All to no avail spanning 5 decades. Along with years being scoffed by friends and family who still think chemtrails are contrails. Haven’t given up and had hopes with DJT using Federal level to stop the aerial dumping. Some States have effected legislation banning chemtrails but Federal overrides State regulations. Chemtrails have gotten worse every single day and night and are definitely a grave crime against humanity and nature.
