“I love my country… so proud to be an American… so proud to win for our country.” - Jack Hughes, Golden Goal legend and patriot

Huff Post made a negative comment on X about it and Jimmy’s Seafood in Maryland told them to FO. They gave the men and women’s teams free crab cakes for life. https://x.com/jimmysseafood/status/2025695986883129437?s=46&t=HrjIVpMY-LOd752yqNAprA

Jimmy’s Seafood now has almost 350k followers and has offered free food for life to the players on this hockey team. I was on X yesterday and followed this story, and boy, did HuffPost realllllly make people mad.

KC & the Sunshine's avatar

Yeah, when I followed them they had 151k.

There was a photo awhile back of the "editorial team" (I use that term ironically.)

The entire staff is made up of AWFL's. Affluent White Female Liberals. And they look it. I would bet that few of them have been outside the state, and none have ever suffered poverty or even physical issues. They are mostly young, blonde, and look like a sorority with a token non-whitey occasionally at the table.

And most importantly, most haven't been laid in years.

What do you make of Alberta fleeing Canada after (allegedly) being fleeced by the rest of Canada? Is it true they are forced to be their brother's keeper?

UnvaxxedCanadian's avatar

Canada was confederated so upper and lower Canada (Ontario and Quebec) can parasitize western Canada and it’s resources. It’s been going on for a long time. Alberta cash keeps Canada functioning and in a way it is theft.

But expect Ottawa to use all means legally and otherwise to get the result they want.

During the Quebec referendum Ottawa moved all immigration judges to Quebec and minted thousands of “new” loyal Canadians just in time to pad the vote. And when the Quebec leader blamed immigrants he got blasted for racism but it turns out he was right.

MarshaLouise's avatar

Will Alberta also encompass Idaho north and N Dakota? Let’s go, and help Alberta.

I'm Albertan. We have no future inside Canada. Definitely no reason beyond fear to stay. And, yes, it's mostly AWFLs that are freaking out about the idea.

UnvaxxedCanadian's avatar

You have NO IDEA! but Mexico is now off the list, Cuba is too. Where’s a Canadian elbows up idiot to vacay?? We went to Ft Lauderdale over Christmas.

Someone I compete with who is a former Afghan vet and retired police sold his FL condo as he “didn’t want to get shot by MAGA republicans” His EXACT words. I was busy at the time but he said it to my wife. I would have unloaded (figuratively) on him. He doesn’t like me anyway. Deeply grateful to everyone for your prayers and provisions over the last couple of days, things are far better now, and I will endeavor to pay your extensive generosity forward. Here is a story for you, not too unlike the kindness I just experienced:

----

In 1983, our first little home burned to the ground while we watched helplessly in the snow. We lost everything—our wedding gifts, photos, textbooks, all of it. As I stood there in shock, a firefighter—soot-streaked, exhausted, and kind—took me in his arms and said, “This is the worst part. But from here, it gets better.” He later helped organize a fundraiser, delivered donated furniture, and made sure we had a place to stay—quietly, without ever taking credit. Years later, at his wake, dozens of us he had helped surrounded his wife and told her how her husband had saved more than homes—he’d saved hope. —Bethann Siviter, Edited by Bright Side

----

With room and board secured, I will be working on a very special article over the next few days focused on wells we all share of comradery, fellowship, and family, pulled from places of that divide us (intentionally or not), and which I think will imbue hope and restore faith in the power of love and kindness. See you then.

"Those who are filled with the love of Christ do not seek to force others to do better: they inspire others to do better." —Howard Hunter

Trump DID prepare for the "blowback" of taking out this drug cartel boss. He had ICE target certain cities and certain criminal illegals who had been embedded in the US that were part of the cartel's syndicate, and he took them out so they could not be used HERE to retaliate.

Trump declared war on the drug cartels long ago. He knows who was really running them - the CIA and deep state criminal cabal. He was serious about actually stopping them, and stopping the deaths of Americans from their trafficking. He is also serious about ending the cartel's influence in AZ elections, stopping the rigging and theft.

Reginald Thibodeau's avatar

Hobbs needs to be gone. From office, at the very least, the country if at all possible.

Roger Beal's avatar

Sheinbaum's office may be hiring ...

FlatEarthFlyer's avatar

Have you all been keeping track of ICE arrests and the kinds of horrific crimes these mostly Hispanic individuals commit? Why are so many Hispanics from Mexico, Central & South America so unbelievably evil? First, most of those arrested are probably involved with drugs or the drug trade to begin with. Drugs are referred to as sorcery and witchcraft in the Bible. But I also suspect it’s because of all the ancient blood that has historically been shed in those countries during their snake-worshipping ceremonies. Ophiolatry (snake-worship) is considered the oldest religion in history, and the human sacrifice and blood-letting it requires draws demons to the location and empowers those performing the rituals. Quetzalcoatl (Mexico), Coatlicue (Aztec), and Kukulkan (Mayan) are all serpent gods, revered in Hispanic culture even today. Many modern scholars put the number of victims killed during a single 4-day temple-dedication ceremony in 1487 at over 80,000. Now multiply that by thousands of years.

“You shall not bow down to them or serve them; for I, YHWH your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me.” – Exodus 20:5. In other words, if just a single generation engages in idolatry, it will negatively affect the family through the 3rd or 4th generation. But if each of those subsequent generations continues the idolatry, then the curse will never end. Any culture that practices human sacrifice will be infected with powerful demons, and the Democrat abortion and mutilation culture perfectly explains their evil insanity even today in America.

KC & the Sunshine's avatar

Just so everyone knows, the last part of the verse is SUPER important! “…punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the 3rd & 4th generation OF THOSE WHO HATE ME.” Ex.

20:5 *If we LOVE Him and we don’t sacrifice/abort our children or how down to these other gods (**LITTLE “g”!) their son will not be on us. It’s only

if we hate Him and show it by showing down to other gods and doing these things that show we hate Him.

RebeccaGrrrl's avatar

I see how many Hispanics are being arrested by ICE. I’m not sure how many Hispanics are in America legally or by nature have become or been born as citizens… but my mother and her side of my family are of this group and sadly mostly dems but good caliber citizens vs criminals. So we need to remember that Mexico and it’s cartels are sending their criminals to do the dirty drug work on purpose. I have a heart left for my mother’s side, all in California and New Mexico, even if they have shunned me due to my C&C beliefs! I have only my Godfather Uncle who unfortunately has dementia now but was of sound political mind prior to that. But I have a lot of fond memories and appreciate my Mexican American side of my heritage, and needed to remind myself too.

LMWC's avatar
Feb 23Edited

I loved yesterday’s triumph, but nothing will compare to the 1980, Miracle on Ice. Going against the Red Machine of the Soviets, professionals going against amateur, (mostly American college players), was so sweet in victory. Since the advent of pro’s in all the Olympic sports, watching a bunch of pro athletes decide another medal is necessary in their life just has always rubbed me wrong. Now, no one remembers when the Olympics was about amateurs competing. While, it was well done competition, these guys will be back on their pro teams next week with their Canadian counterparts. The best part was Jack Hughes spitting teeth out and literally saying, “Hold my Beer”.

Valerie's avatar

Oh I remember when the Olympics were all amateurs. There for nothing but love of the sport, many of them still are.

Unwoke in Idaho's avatar

Well, the American teams were all amateurs.

Valerie's avatar

So were the Russians, technically. They were all in the army and doing nothing but practicing hockey all day, but since they weren’t technically being paid to play hockey they were ‘amateurs.’

Susan Seas's avatar

I just saw a clip of a sports podcast and they were saying in the movie Miracle there was a guy cut just before the game named Jack Hughes! 😳

You are correct. It is Hughes. I knew I wrote down the wrong name yesterday, but I was too lazy to correct it. Keeping me on my toes, I appreciate it!

Susan Seas's avatar

I didn’t notice that. 😆 I just thought it was crazy at the name. Jack Hughes was in the movie. if you mention that I may have missed it.

It’s incredible to go from one presidential administration that opens the border wide. Allows the Mexican drug cartels to take the border over. Lets pounds of deadly fentanyl flow freely into the country killing tens of thousands of our young every year. Allows child trafficking, the cartels to make millions bringing illegals into America. Biden created his own cartel by coercing and forcing citizens to be injected with dangerous DNA changing chemical injections. Biden’s massive cartel, Bid Pharma and the medical establishment, put the Mexican cartel to shame in size money and killing people.

Then there’s Trump who takes out the cartels and their leaders. Closes the border down. Does his best to stop the flow of drugs over the border into America. Tried his best to use tariffs to stop China from poisoning our kids and create fair trade. But as usual the commy’s just can’t handle it. They have to try and stop him at every turn, every step of the way. They just can’t stand a president that fights for America.

The USA men’s and women’s hockey teams dominate in a bitter rivalry in very poetic fashion with historic wins. And don’t worry young man, we’ll get those teeth fixed, better than ever, such as the world has never seen.

And Alysa Liu single-handedly revived my long-dormant interest in US Figure Skating this past week. She is an American original, her flawless performance was perfectly joyful, and that photo of her with the American flag says it all.

We live here. Costco was not burned down. They just set on fire a bunch of cars surrounding it.

Dara Buenos Dias!'s avatar

Debra I live in both Tapalpa, Jalisco and Manzanillo. We were on our way to Guadalajara Sunday morning and were stopped at the cuota--san Marcos (after Colima, before CD Guzman). Had to wait over 2 hours. Then they reopened the road back to Colima. We went there and stayed with friends, This morning returning to Manzanillo we saw several burned up semi's that had been blocking the road buring yesterday. They had all been moved sufficiently to creep through. But El Mencho was killed in Tapalpa. very close to our house.

debra cole's avatar

Hi Dara, we are in Jalisco/Cabo Corrientes. There are two torched busses blocking Carretera 200 south of Vallarta. We are stuck until who knows when 😂. Our little town lost two OXXO's, a small Kiosko and part of the gas station and the small bank where people can pick up their social security checks. It takes a long time to repair things, as I am sure you are aware. My heart goes out to these people who have built their lives around these businesses. Saludos.

Dara Buenos Dias!'s avatar

Wow. Lots of destruction. I noticed today driving that the small towns were much more affected than larger ones. Likely same damage but shows differently in small towns. El Mencho dies so close to my mountain home—we will wait a few weeks and. Heck with folks who live there before we return. Our neighborhood is small and serine. Certainly don’t need that kind of thing there!

debra cole's avatar

Buenas tardes, Dara. Our town is small too. Why do "they" hurt their own countrymen for something the town folks had no control over?

Today all the shops and schools were closed. Only the little tiendas de aborrotes were open and the larger mercado.

My husband went to town and said there was only one tortilla shop open and the line for tortillas went around a block or two. What was so strange was yesterday afternoon after the chaos---no dogs barking, no Ranchero music, no roosters crowing and no tropical birds singing or flying around. No wind. No sounds. No animals, no music. But this morning it was back to normal at 6 AM 😂.

The road north of us, just south of Boca, is still blocked. But someone said the National Guard is the cleanup committee and they are starting to work on it. Those guys and women are amazing!

hi. Why the smaller towns seem to get the brunt of it? I think each town has a small group of cartel members. All towns have some. SO when they are told to do damage--they do so in or newar their pwn towns. So it becomes more visible in the small towns. But the destruction is not really much different than the protests in the US where they destroy shopping areas, cars, buildings, etc. So very sad that so many people are angry and have gone atray for God.

I totally agree. Our town is fairly "quiet" because of the cartel presence.

My friends in the US texted, frightened for us. But we had to reply, "Antifa, Hamas, ICE protesters are different?"

My friend from Taiwan even contacted us and ask if we were safe. I had to laugh because China is practicing naval military exercises all around her "home" 🤣. Again, it is nice to chat with you. God knows. He who sits in the heavens laughs.

Hola again Dara,

That must have been frightening to have that man killed in your neighborhood. Shocking for the community. So many uncertainties. Something like that is remembered for a long time. Do you think so too?

Debra, my friends, one who is 83 years old, all said that this experience was the first time in their lives that something like this occured--nation wide. But living in ground zero brought a more 'real' aspect to it! I will likely go up their next week for a day if I am told things have calmed down. But it certainly put Tapalpa on the map!

I agree with you that your little town is now on the map. I could only think of Talpa. I didn't know there is a Tapalpa. I think it is interesting what your friends said about these current events. The "signs of the times"---wars and rumors of wars, increases lawlessness. We live in amazing but strange times. PS Thank you for the conversation :)

So what's your insider opinion of traveling to an all-inclusive property in Cancun? Be Well, Be Blessed, Phillip

debra cole's avatar

Hi Philip. So sorry---I dont have an opinion. I have never been there.

Dara Buenos Dias!'s avatar

Phillip, Since I do not frequent (at all) all inclusive places, I would say that they are safe, but getting to them might have been an issue. But now--after tings have calmed down, I do not believe it is dangerous to go to an airport and to an all inclusive place. I do not feel it is dangerous for us to dtravel by car to other towns, either--once things cam down, which they have already somewhat.

Live in Mexico? Ugh.

Oh that’s way better.

I’m optimistic that Bill Gates and his cohorts will be taken down and that our Senate leader Thune will start doing his job 😄

And i am optimistic that McConnell will stop being senile long enough to get the SAVE act through.

Unwoke in Idaho's avatar

We should do a gofundme for Thune to have a spine implant. Or cojones. Either one. The guy is such a limp Richard.

Seeing Bill Gates taken down would make me so Optimistic! I wonder where he’s hiding 🫣

Reginald Thibodeau's avatar

Now that is REAL optimism. Maybe your screen name should be Dr.Pangloss 😉

True. Thune and Judas Johnson are scum... controlled by powerful anti-America groups.

For what it is worth, Johnson was the only representative that stood up for the silenced jab injured. He is featured a number of times in this gripping film.

Oh, please be right.

Maybe the tourists in Mexico went because they were OPTIMISTIC about their chances there…😅

Seriously though I’m sure being in PV right now is extremely stressful and hope civilians and tourists aren’t hurt.

Meanwhile up here, love how C&C has kept us upbeat for the past five or six years! This is the only news roundup I’ve kept up with that long!

Same! I found it later than y’all, but since I did I haven’t missed a day in 24 months. I’ve followed several podcasts and news agencies, but they are sporadic. Only Jeff is my can’t miss news report of the day. ❤️

I found it around the same time, Juju. I really could have used it in 2020.

I would never vaca or step foot in mexico. it is 3rd world. Why spend American money in a place that has so many cartels that brings in drugs to the US? Pick another country that is safe.

Abiding Dude's avatar

Sounds a little nutty (but better than funding genocide)...

Why don't we invade Mexico and take all lands down to Durango (and all of the Baja)?

Would make for a FAR smaller border to control... eviscerate the cartels... and give Trump and Kushner some beachfront property to develop without murdering 300,000+ innocents!
