Annie, yes, in this world the duality is inevitable and there is ever the contrasting principles of good and evil, life and death, ( physical) the battle between good and evil is fought at EVERY level, including the individual life’s we all lead.
So yes, a strong spiritual foundation is necessary to learn to “stand unshaken midst the crash of breaking worlds”.
In this mornings C&C post Jeff mentions that there is no simple solution to complex vast issues. And in my perspective historically accurate observation, the solution is rooted in a vast cultural change of focus to understanding human nature and what actions ( wisdom) rightly and universally produce happiness vs those that promise honey, yet deliver poison and ultimately misery.
So, while it is true that EVERY culture has failed, reconstituted and failed again, we can learn from this and understand that while there are 100 actions necessary to counter todays madness, their is a sea change of understanding true happiness that must become the cultural norm for an enduring prosperous society.
