Friendly reminder that President Trump was nearly assassinated by a plot less than a month ago.

Never forget. Also, in case you didn't see it, Andy Ogles (congressman from TN) was raided by the FBI for accounting errors. He was endorsed by Trump. He didn't buy into the COVID hysteria when he was mayor. He's the most conservative representative from TN.

Expand full comment

Well, given what’s happening in the U.K. right now, with Muslim warriors chasing the natives down in the streets with two by fours and the police helping them find them; there can come a point where the intellectual discussions about emotions, and economics and generational divides and such, become counterproductive and one had better pick a side unless one wants to be ruled by a caliphate, which is the true worldwide threat.

Israel is the canary in the coal mine.

Wasn’t he gearing up to file impeachment papers against Kamala? Or was that a different congressmen?

Expand full comment

Yes! He was. β€œOn Tuesday, July 23, Rep. Andy Ogles (R. – Tenn.) announced he is filing articles of impeachment against Harris for what the Congressman claims are for "high crimes and misdemeanors."

So then just two weeks later the FBI suddenly raids his home and trumps up campaign finance reasons??

Expand full comment

Below is a statement released by Rep. Ogles on his campaign page:

"Kamala Harris has disgraced the Office of the Vice President and willfully disregarded her oath to uphold and defend the Constitution. She is not only an embarrassment to the country but has also intentionally ignored her responsibility to enforce the laws of the United States and protect the American people. On her watch, every single town has become a border town. Hundreds of thousands of Americans have overdosed on illicit drugs brought across the southern border, and countless women and children have been raped and murdered.

Kamala Harris has betrayed the trust of the public by failing to exercise her sworn duty to employ the provisions of the 25th Amendment to remove President Biden from office when it became apparent that he was mentally and physically incapable of continuing to serve. For these reasons alone, immediate action should be taken to impeach her."

And now they go after him. They wasted no time. Lawfare. We should ALL be supporting him.

Expand full comment

Yes, yes, why hasn't she invoked the 25th? Well she did sort of, she used it as a tool to pry old Joe out of office. She's worse than corn pop. So why isn't she president right now? Because she is scared out of her wits at the current situation, she isn't ready for office. She had one job to do, that was to replace Joe if he croaked or became unable to carry out his duties and she reneged. She doesn't have that right constitutionally so yes she should be impeached immediately. Of course that will never happen but that will form the basis for a plan of attack that astute politicians may use to defeat her and all the rest of the democrats. They all stood by like fools and were too cowardly to speak up and say what was obvious to everyone regarding the condition of biden. Ad after ad should state the obvious "vp/representative/senator (fill in the blank) (and note Joe and probably Kahhmla would read the "fill in the blank" part on the teleprompter) so and so in a cowardly and cynical political move continued to support biden when it was obvious to all who cared to look that he was unfit for office, do we really want vp/rep/sen so and so in office? vote in nov"?

Right?? How the good people of Minnesota passed up on Scott Jensen, I will never know. I assume the Muslim vote is huge in this state now.

Expand full comment

Minnesota is a strange state, don't discount the cultural influence of its Scandinavian Christianity roots. It's an odd belief system that elevates being "nice" above pretty much anything else. If telling the truth offends someone, then you aren't allowed to say it as it's not nice. They confuse being being nice with being kind. They pride themselves on being "Minnesota nice" and use that very phrase when bragging about themselves.

Very similar to the cultural influence of Mormonism, which is one of the big reasons Utah often produces such terrible supposedly Republican politicians.

Expand full comment

"Nice" is killing us (and it is really affecting the Church, too).

Expand full comment

β€œThey pride themselves on being β€˜Minnesota nice’ and use that very phrase when bragging about themselves.”

Sounds like they took a page out of the Canada’s pride manual and are following them right off the cliff.

Expand full comment

Agree. If one's cultural identity is defined by how virtuous they (supposedly) are, and they spend a lot of time talking about it (calling one's own group "Minnesota nice" as an example), it's a recipe for narcissism. People that are truly virtuous don't feel any need to promote themselves as they aren't trying to impress anyone. Plus their actions tell the world far more than boasting does.

Expand full comment

No, it’s what happens when nice Scandinavian people start divorcing themselves from their Christian roots.

My grandmother was 100% Norwegian. My grandfather was a Lutheran pastor. We used to have family reunions every few years at the farm until most of my mom’s cousins died. Picture this: 150+ extended family, no one arguing, no one getting drunk, everyone genuinely happy to see each other, and then taking over the little Lutheran church in town on the Sunday morning, belting out Praise to the Lord and A Mighty Fortress together while my uncle signs for the deaf ones, my mom directs the family choir, my dad plays the piano, and my mom’s cousins take turns giving the sermon.

A few of these dear people have drifted Left, leaving behind their faith. (Well, a few of them still think they are Christian, but they don’t believe the Bible anymore and they listen to our culture more than to God.) They are the only ones who cause conflict, but the rest of us don’t take the bait.

I know it seems weird, but it really is possible to get along without that meaning we ignore problems or sweep everything under the rug. We’re just keeping short accounts, dealing with disagreements when actually necessary, and with a calm and friendly approach, usually privately, that maintains the relationship.

Expand full comment

I think we are saying the same thing. I'm not saying Minnesota was always like this but that the cultural emphasis of being "nice" above all else is what causes this, and it definitely has roots in the Scandinavian flavor of Christianity (and other places too as I mentioned LDS). It works fine in a highly biblical-morality society. But when calling out sin is forbidden because it's not nice then things fall apart in a hurry.

And it's not just Minnesota but the Scandinavian countries themselves also. When these areas were homogenous (i.e. nearly everyone had common beliefs regarding right and wrong) then being nice was an affordable luxury. Sweden was socialist long before it was popular because it was the "nice" thing to do. And frankly it worked in Sweden for a long time because of people's common value system. That's no longer the case. Now being nice is a societal liability as it's used to excuse sin and the resulting destruction of Western Christian society.

It's no coincidence that the most-deranged (IMO satanic) denomination in the US is the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. It's also no coincidence that it's stronghold is Minnesota. Everything goes, transsexual priests, homosexual bishops, you name it. The only sin in that church is not being "nice" (i.e. calling out real biblical sin).

Expand full comment

Yes, we are probably *mostly* saying the same thing, but with one major difference: the β€œMinnesota Nice” definitely does not have its roots in Scandinavian *Christianity*.

At least on the Norwegian side, my relatives never elevated niceness above everything else, they are simply kind people all the time. They never use niceness as an excuse to tolerate bad behavior, and calling out sin was never forbidden - except for those who stopped being Christian, or subordinated their faith to cultural norms.

Because I take after my dad’s Scots-Irish side of the family, I watch my Norwegian relatives in awe as they manage to correct their children without raising their voices and have honest, friendly discussions with each other even when they disagree.

I would have loved your family! I come from German Lutheran stock here in Michigan. We have 3 Lutheran churches in our small village. When people ask me why, I tell them family’s of Germans came over together and settled near each other. The first thing they did was form a church and sometimes a school with it. That’s why we have 3 Lutheran churches. One church barely has 70 people on any Sunday, anymore. Their last pastor took early retirement and they can’t find a replacement because there simply aren’t any. Too many of my kid’s generation just walked away. They say they are β€œspiritual”, not Christian or Lutheran and that breaks my heart. I pray covid and all of this open our eyes to revival of the church.

Is there another reasonable explanation?

Women who get abortions don't think about what it is they are doing and suffer long term effects unless they are also a narcissistic sociopath as well.

If women who choose to abort were required to see a few abortion procendures, most of them would change their mind. They do not want that to happen as it will cut into the money and evil research projects.

We were all so fired up to take Michigan back from the lockdown queen, we thought his speech terrific. Three weeks later Trump flew into a small airport near me on Air Force I. We waited in line 6 hours. What a thrill to see Air Force I coming into land. It is gigantic. The crowd packed the airport hanger, mostly no masks and loved everything DJT was saying. He came back 3 more times to Michigan to great crowds. It’s how I absolutely know he won Michigan in 2020. We were betrayed by our Legislature, the media, and of course, AG, SOS, and governor. Our MiGOP screwed us also….

120K: via Sahan Journal, VERBATIM: β€œA federal judge ordered the arrest Monday evening of all seven defendants in the Feeding Our Future trial following allegations that a juror was bribed with a bag filled with $120,000 in cash. JUDGE: β€˜The fact that there are only seven defendants and only seven people other than their attorneys that have the information to get to a juror and bribe the juror doesn’t relieve me with the responsibility to protect the community,’ ordered U.S. District Judge Nancy Brasel. … The development came several hours after a shocking revelation was made in court earlier that morning β€” a juror had been dismissed after a woman arrived at the juror’s home Sunday with $120,000 in exchange for an acquittal. The allegation shocked local law professors, who couldn’t recall a similar incident in Minnesota, and also led to the confiscation Monday of all seven defendants’ cell phones. Brasel said in her ruling that the juror was β€˜terrified’ and β€˜remains at risk for retaliation.’ She also expressed concern that β€˜someone obviously has the addresses of the families of these jurors.’” READ: https://fluence-media.co/3Xdynbb

From yesterday’s lunch take:

CONTEXT: via Minnesota Reformer, VERBATIM: β€œA juror in the Feeding Our Future case was excused Monday morning after prosecutors said an unidentified individual went to the juror’s house on Sunday night and offered a bag containing $120,000 in cash and another bag if she voted for acquittal. The bribery allegation comes during closing arguments and right before the jury was to begin deliberations on the guilt of seven defendants accused of fraudulently getting reimbursed $49 million in federal funds by vastly inflating the number of meals served to children at 50 locations across Minnesota during the pandemic.” READ: https://fluence-media.co/3wSauLw

FEED FRAUD: via a House GOP press release, VERBATIM: β€œHouse Minority Leader Lisa Demuth, R-Cold Spring, is calling for an investigation into allegations raised in court documents that the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) engaged in systematic and potentially illegal efforts to evade compliance with the Minnesota Data Practices Act for documents related to the Feeding our Future fraud scandal. The explosive allegations…claim that MDE intentionally mislabeled documents and misspelled words to avoid being flagged in Data Practices Act requests, deleting documents, and used burner phones and personal emails to conduct government business.” DEMUTH: β€œThese are serious allegations that should be fully and independently investigated; if any MDE employee is found to have purposefully engaged in covering-up these documents, they should be fired immediately. Minnesotans need to know the full story about MDE’s involvement in the largest fraud scandal in state history.” READ: https://fluence-media.co/49qfbcY

FEED FRAUD: In a must read story, Star Tribune reports β€œCould Minnesota officials have stopped the Feeding Our Future fraud sooner?” Attorney General Keith Ellison has been adamant that his office did everything it could, and it was not Minnesota’s fault that federal authorities took 17 months to issue indictments. But Minnesota had very little evidence to present to the federal government, requiring the FBI to build a case from scratch. For instance, the state did not use its legal power to demand financial records during litigation. It also reveals that there were alarms presented about Feeding Our Future presented to the office well before the pandemic. The story uncovers several other steps that could have been taken by officials in the attorney general’s office, the Dept. of Education and other institutions to potentially combat the fraud more effectively. READ: https://fluence-media.co/3W8oY1k

RESPONSE: via House Minority Leader Kurt Daudt, VERBATIM: β€œ"Tonight's Star Tribune report confirms what we already knew: Gov. Walz and Keith Ellison had numerous chances to stop the largest fraud scandal in Minnesota history. Their failure to act allowed criminals to steal $250 million of Minnesotans' hard-earned tax dollars…There are still numerous unanswered questions β€” why did the Walz administration sign a stipulation agreement with an organization they knew was stealing from taxpayers? Why were virtually no site visits conducted? Why was no effort made to enforce the breach of contract?” MORE: https://fluence-media.co/3Fp6QdY

Feeding our Future is accused of running a scheme that stole $250 million meant to feed hungry kids during the peak of the pandemic. Federal prosecutors charged 48 people earlier this week.

In a recent news conference, Gov. Tim Walz said the Minnesota Department of Education's hands were tied by a court order for it to resume food program payments despite concerns the state had raised. He said the Ramsey County District Judge John Guthmann ordered the education department in April 2021 to resume payments to Feeding our Future, and that the court held the state agency in contempt.

"The courts forced us to go back and pay it again," Walz said.On Friday night, the Ramsey County judge delivered a very rare public rebuke, calling the comment inaccurate. He said he never ordered the education department to resume payments to Feeding Our Future."As the public court record and Judge Guthmann's orders make plain, Judge Guthmann never issued an order requiring the MN Department of Education to resume food reimbursement payments to FOF," the court's news release said. "The Department of Education voluntarily resumed payments and informed the court that FOF resolved the 'serious deficiencies' that prompted it to suspend payments temporarily. All of the MN Department of Education food reimbursement payments to FOF were made voluntarily, without any court order.

Minnesota Bar Owner Who Defied Virus Orders Found Guilty

Associated Press reported:

The owner of a bar in Albert Lea was found guilty Thursday of six criminal misdemeanor charges and sentenced to 90 days in jail for defying Gov. Tim Walz’s executive orders to close her business last winter.

The jury found Lisa Hanson, 57, guilty after deliberating for an hour, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported. Prosecutors had asked that Hanson be fined $500 and jailed for several days, but Judge Joseph Bueltel gave her a 90-day jail sentence and a $1,000 fine, saying he wanted to send a message to people who violate executive orders.

Hanson has also been hit with fines totaling over $27,000 from separate legal actions brought after she left the state while facing the charges. Her business, The Interchange, closed in February.

Decision must be appealed to SCOTUS!

.

Per Catholic News Agency, May 23. 2023.

.

β€œSupreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch blasted the COVID-19 emergency orders and lockdowns, calling them possibly β€œthe greatest intrusions on civil liberties in the peacetime history of this country,” in a rare personal statement issued May 18, 2023.”

.

β€œExecutive officials across the country issued emergency decrees on a breathtaking scale,” Gorsuch wrote. β€œGovernors and local leaders imposed lockdown orders forcing people to remain in their homes. They shuttered businesses and schools, public and private. They closed churches even as they allowed casinos and other favored businesses to carry on. They threatened violators not just with civil penalties but with criminal sanctions, too.”

.

β€œFederal executive authorities also violated Americans’ fundamental freedoms, Gorsuch said.”

.

β€œThey used a workplace-safety agency to issue a vaccination mandate for most working Americans. They threatened to fire noncompliant employees and warned that service members who refused to vaccinate might face dishonorable discharge and confinement. Along the way, it seems federal officials may have pressured social-media companies to suppress information about pandemic policies with which they disagreed,” Gorsuch wrote.”

.

β€œIn cases such as these, Gorsuch said, public authorities β€œforced individuals to fight for their freedoms in court.”

1⁄2

β€œWhile executive officials issued new emergency decrees at a furious pace, state legislatures and Congress β€” the bodies normally responsible for adopting our laws β€” too often fell silent,” Gorsuch wrote.”

.

β€œThe judicial system, too, shares some of the blame, according to Gorsuch.”

.

β€œCourts bound to protect our liberties addressed a few β€” but hardly all β€” of the intrusions upon them. In some cases, like this one, courts even allowed themselves to be used to perpetuate emergency public-health decrees for collateral purposes.”

.

β€œThe concentration of power in the hands of so few may be efficient and sometimes popular. But it does not tend toward sound government,” Gorsuch cautioned.”

.

Gorsuch warned that β€œif emergency decrees promise to solve some problems, they threaten to generate others, and rule by indefinite emergency edict risks leaving all of us with a shell of a democracy and civil liberties just as hollow.” 2⁄2

The first time I saw a picture of Walz, I thought Don Rickles had come back from the dead.

There are two possibilities for the pick:

1. Their internal polling shows they cannot win. They choose to lose and let Harris and Walz be tossed into the dustbin of history. Let the riots and ensuing chaos commence after the election. The media are beside themselves, blaming Trump for the chaos. The Jamie Raskin-leaked plan goes into effect, and the Deep State tries to prevent DJT from taking office. It gets ugly.

2. They don’t care that they cannot win because they have their β€œinsurance plan.” The Dominion Voting Systems software code is getting a β€œnew and improved” rewrite as we speak that will ensure a Harris victory (β€œMs. Harris was told she could [read: will] win the White House with any of the three finalists by her side.”) with the most votes ever received by a presidential candidate. It’s historic! The media are beside themselves with glee; it's so historic, it's historically historic! The β€œfundamental transformation” of our country continues apace. In 2030, Cloward and Piven claim their spots on Mount Rushmore next to Biden and Klaus Schwab.

Either way, they are not going to be giving up their power anytime soon. That’s just who they are. Ask the frog who offered the scorpion a free ride.

The whole Jan. 6th event was a Deep State psyop for 2024 'protection'. That they continued to prosecute people for the next 3 years was to send a message to constitution-loving citizens "You better not show up in January 2025 in DC when we work to steal this again. We'll track you down via cell data and toss you in prison to rot." And the Republican "Leadership" under McCarthy, and now Johnson, have shown their true colors in being in bed with the Deep State too. Our guys don't play hardball because they are part of the new Castrati.

I compared him to Ed Asner in my comment, but Don Rickles fits too. The difference though, is Don Rickles was hilarious and lovable despite his insult persona. He also made his appearance work for him as part of his act.

If you haven't see Rickles' opening monologue when he hosted SNL, it's worth checking out as it would never be allowed today. I saw it live back in 1984 and it was one of the funniest things I've ever seen (though I was under the influence of mind altering substances back then, clean and sober shortly thereafter by the grace of God).

We had a union. Local 27 Seattle Firefighters did nothing. That is a separate issue and we’ve been working to see avenues to hold them accountable as well. It is not a union but a one sided club who’s eboard was very pro-vaccine despite taking an internal poll that 70% of the logs was against the mandate. That was at a time 70% attested to have gotten the shot. The union president focused on negotiating a payout to those who stayed of about $1700 and though severs of us filed grievance requests with the union, we (I) was told that they could grieve something that wasn’t specifically referenced on our labor agreement. There have been 2 other Seattle based unions who have had individual members already win arbitration in the very same case to the city’s mandate.

As for the Walz pick, it's great to see so many people coming out with copies of his tweets during our crazy years. Apparently he (or someone) has scrubbed his Twitter feed for that sort of thing now so it's harder to see, but people remember stuff like the "snitch line" and it's getting brought up regularly when the press tries to push his "kind/neighborly" narrative.

Walz is almost a caricature of a candidate, as he fits so many stereotypes. One overweight, poorly groomed, aged white male slob, in obvious physical decline, who hates his race and his sex. He cares so little about his own personal self-regard that he cannot take the minimum steps to make himself appear presentable in public (i.e. step away from the desert tray, get a little exercise, some sun once in a while, and a decent hair cut). It's almost like Kamala picked Ed Asner.

You would think they would pick someone who doesn't ooze self-loathing, both from a personal perspective and one's ethnic stock. The fact he's a left-wing lunatic just reinforces that he hates his own race. Add the cowardice angle that's coming out from abandoning his National Guard role at the start of the Iraq War.

This pick is so bad, part of me wonders if it was intentional sabotage for Kamala's campaign. Her first real test she failed miserably, as it was driven by her feelings (that's the message being portrayed). She's shown she's not up to the task so they have to replace her at the convention. And then we'll have a new fresh face, with a new bump in the polls right before the election. We'll see.
