I’ve heard this in a couple other places too. If he’s so hard left and only in it to foil Trump and therefore let Democrats keep power, then they wouldn’t say things like this at all. I hope they DO drop and endorse Trump. If he has changed as much as I think he has, (and yes people DO change as time goes on,) then he would see the destruction to our nation by leaving the current administration in power. I think he is smart enough to see that, and to see that a Trump endorsement now is not an endorsement for extreme far right agendas, because Trump is not extreme. I think he would see it as a necessary “evil” to save this country. I pray my hunch is right. But who really knows.
I’ve listened to almost all of his campaign speeches and interviews, and I believe he has changed a lot. He believes the Democrat party no longer represents him, and is no longer the same party that they were with JFK, and I agree. I don’t see him as further left than what is in power now. We don’t like anyone pigeon-holing JD Vance to his past comments/views/associations and we give him the grace to have learned more and change his mind. Why can’t we do that for RFKJr?
I agree that he is not fully the best choice at this juncture as I don’t agree with some of his policy ideas, and I don’t think he can get >50% of the vote after all the censoring the left did to him and his platform keeping him from being heard. I refuse to accept leadership that represents less than 50% of our country because that’s not a majority rule. But I agree with others that he has a lot to offer our government if given positions to fix things with the FDA, pharma conflicts of interest, and corruption. Give him those wheels.
People say lots of things for lots of reasons; including how honest they are. It’s certainly in their best interest, if the goal is to take votes from Trump, to convince people that their values are Trump-like values. They are not.
I think she was laying out reasons for ‘never Trumper’ and ‘not sure’
Republicans to vote for RFK.JR., while also ‘explaining’ why they’re not going to drop out, even though that potentially hurts Trump.
They would supposedly help the country by creating a third party, a Trump like party.
If the polls drop for him, RFK, Jr. will exit. If he can get that 5%, they’ll happily try to help the Democrats win.

Talk is cheap. People are gullible.
