So is CA. We are going to do what Daniel describes- taking our mailed ballot to in-person voting, ensuring the precinct worker validates neither of us has voted, requesting destruction of mailed ballot in front of us, then voting. Or, we may just deliver our ballots to the county recorder’s office.

FH if you do the first option, would your in-person ballot be considered a provisional ballot? If so, do provisional ballots even have a chance of being counted? Genuinely asking bc my family has 9 voters that are concerned about making our votes count!
