I hope you are right. The people I see on my social media feeds, supposedly intelligent people, think the Chevron ruling has given Biden the power to assassinate Trump. The Supreme Court came through with the Chevron ruling. That was better than swiping the cannons out of Fort Ticonderoga during the Revolution. Letโs put the Chevron ruling to good use, just like Washington & Knox put those cannons to good use.

Talking point against whoever is the democrat nominee (assuming they will oust Biden):
They all knew about Bidenโs mental state the whole time, and that level of malicious corruption cannot be tolerated. In other words, โ____ enabled it and covered it up, putting our country in grave danger by having such a feeble leader.โ
It was obvious in 2019 and 2020 during the DNC Primary that Biden would be "installed" as the candidate. We saw this as democratic candidates suddenly began to drop out of the race left and right when Biden remarkably won the South Carolina primary. Maybe they were thinking that it would be Michelle Obama and she said "no way" and they were stuck with Harris because Susan Rice was not their pick to run the country as the first female black president. Michelle was still in play for 2024 which is where we are now.
Biden is as 'swampy' as they come, has the required baggage, and was/is selected because he was/is the perfect puppet. They knew he had cognitive issues then but he was the perfect figurehead. I don't think they anticipated how rapid and obvious his cognitive decline would be.
My head still spins when I think of Biden's first day in office, sitting at the Resolute Desk, signing fifteen executive orders which demonstrated his administration's intentions to disregard popular will, the separation of powers, and to do what ever it wanted to advance the agenda of Biden's handlers. Another faint echo from Dealey Plaza.
Puppet is the key word. So we either have a feeble dementia patient running the free world, or some cabal who no one elected and we donโt know who these people are.
Iโm pretty sure the point to camel toes is that she is so unelectable, unliked, and basically an imbecile, they put her in to prevent bringing Joey down before their time frame. She would be a disaster. But no more of a disaster than the deep state ruining the country, which is what we have now. And Iโm still waiting for the 25th to be invoked. Whereโs any republicants with balls. Oh wait, we donโt have any. Unless you count MTG.
Sheโs just loud. The only ones with balls that I know of are Rand Paul and Thomas Massie . But he is in a state of bereavement, and people are beginning to ask if the DS had her killed.
Iโm as disappointed as you in the cowardice of so many Republican representatives, but invoking the 25th is out of their hands. Only the VP acting with a majority of the Cabinet can declare the President unfit under the 25th Amendment.
"Uniparty", lest we forget. That's why they manage to change sides every generation but ultimately, as P.J. O'Rourke often pointed out (and Presidents Eisenhower and Kennedy before him), it's the same people with the same interests.
Which is why we need to trim the federal government down to the barest minimum nub so they have the least amount of power possible (with the added benefit that those kinds of people wonโt be as attracted to government positions if there is less power).
"My head still spins when I think of Biden's first day in office, sitting at the Resolute Desk, signing fifteen executive orders...". That was ominous. My heart sank when I saw that, even though I knew when Trump did NOTHING to fight the steal. If he had just done what Powell, Flynn and Byrne told him he'd have been president in January 2021.
I may be wrong , but I still think there is a power struggle between the Newsom faction & the Obama faction. Having Harris on the ticket was a nod to the Newsom faction, but Obama won't let her take over because she's beholden to Newsom. Obama wants someone he can control & use for his 4th term & Newsom ain't it. I think they'll stick with Biden (they probably have millions of ballots ready with Biden's name), then after the installation, he'll be removed & Obama will get rid of Harris with a judgeship & put in who he has selected - the Gerald Ford plan.... Newsom's plan is to be appointed VP & get rid of Harris with a judgeship or something equally safe for her & take over - a slightly different Gerald Ford plan.
Mind-blowingly astute and a highly believable scenario. I never thought of the DNC in factionalized terms but a schism between the Barry Wing and the Gavin Wing would seem to explain certain things.
As a Californian who has watched what Newsom has done to our state with great dismay and disgust, no matter what he does or says he still comes across as such an arrogant, obnoxious doofus, exceptionally mindless and stupid. But he is obviously being pushed by certain parts of the Dem party and he is beloved by the special interest groups as he continually throws taxpayer money to them. We can't forget his Pelosi connection (relative by marriage, not a blood relative), so she is without a doubt pushing for him behind the scenes and she would retain a lot of control through having him in higher national office. I'm not sure who else is pro-Newsom, but the other day Larry Elder played a clip of a Dem governor who was (secretly?) caught on mike talking about how supposedly a lot of the Dem governors (and perhaps others) cringe when they see Newsom coming their way. "Here comes that *!$% again", they will say. So there may not be as many Newsom supporters as you might think. I think the Dems who like him feel he is handsome (yuk!) and young, and therefore a good contrast to Biden and other older politicians. Newsom is as dumb as Biden, and he will not get wiser with age, I can tell you that with certainty.
I saw a couple of videos from that day with Biden signing all those executive orders. The video claimed they were all blank, but I couldn't really tell for sure from the video. If I had to bet, I'd bet Biden didn't know what the heck he was signing. It was all theater to him. Part of his role. He sold his soul (to whatever degree he has a soul) to the devils behind him so he could play president. He desperately wanted his place in history, but I suspect he didn't realize exactly what he place in history was going to be. No good, that's for sure. Fifty years from now Biden will be seen in such a negative light, one of the worst if not THE worst in American history.
An attorney friend of mine hated Harris. He told a story on his blog about a man (perhaps black - I don't remember the details) being beaten to death by sheriffs in Bakersfield, CA during Harris' tenure as AG. My friend had read up on this story and sent several letters to Harris' office requesting that she look into this matter, and was rebuffed each time. He found her absolutely irresponsible and repugnant.
WIKI: "She began her career in the office of the district attorney (DA) of Alameda County, before being recruited to the San Francisco DA's Office and later the City Attorney of San Francisco's office. In 2003, she was elected DA of San Francisco. She was elected AG of California in 2010 and re-elected in 2014."
One question: how do you "begin your career" in the DA's office? Aren't there stepping stones in a legal career? Maybe she was an aide or the coffee girl or something.
From Yahoo 2 years ago:
โNobody should have to go to jail for smoking weed,โ said Harris during her recent appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers. But as an attorney general, her record is much more complicated. Harris oversaw roughly 1,956 misdemeanor and felony convictions for โmarijuana possession, cultivation, or sale,โ according to Reuters. However, defense attorneys and prosecutors in Harrisโ office told Mercury News that most of the people convicted during this period did not serve jail time. And convictions for marijuana did go down under Harrisโ tenure as district attorney."
A comment below this article: "Her job as a prosecutor was to prosecute and uphold the laws on the books at the time. Did she or didnโt she do that?"
As a teenager and into my adulthood, I was a pot smoker. I'll just put that out there for honesty's sake. I don't consider being a stoner a mortal sin. I rarely partake any more; I'm around it regularly but since I stopped imbibing on a regular basis, at 62 I find I prefer the clarity of mind I experience by abstaining. I've always thought marijuana laws were stupid and hypocritical, considering the toll alcoholism takes on society. Yes, I wanted weed to be legal, and yes, I think putting people in the slammer with hardened criminals for having a joint in their pocket is asinine, detrimental and historically racist.
The laws were conceived in the 30s to incarcerate black people, and should have been rescinded during the 60s social movements, but instead they were strengthened and used against white "radicals" who wanted peace and love. Reagan stepped it into high gear with his "war on drugs", and I remember the 80s and 90s when helicopters were used to find people's pot gardens, "Pigs on the Wing".
While I'm glad it's no longer being used as an excuse to harass and arrest people in my state, I still find it weird to see someone smoking a joint walking by my house in broad daylight.
It's lost its cool factor for me; now that anyone can do it, now that it's not taboo, it's no fun anymore. Moreover, I often see it as a sign that someone just doesn't have their shit together - that they rely on weed as an escape rather than dealing with life head-on. I don't know how much of that is my dad's angry voice echoing around in my teenage mind, or maybe just my own life experience.
But Kamala's hypocrisy on the subject is disturbing - I just can't find a way to take her seriously, even when she isn't cackling..
I've read similar stories about Kamala's heroic tenure as DA. Didn't Tulsi lay into Kamala about her less-than stellar performance in this role during the DNC debates?
I generally agree with your stance on weed. I was in the music business in a former life and I struggled to deal with pot smokers and coke heads. The latter I simply couldn't trust. The former I couldn't engage in a conversation with or rely on them when time was a factor. That said, I have a friend who smokes to deal with service-related PTSD. He swears by it as an alternative to the array of pharmaceuticals the VA had him on so I'm not in any position to judge.
I went to recording engineering school (a 9-month certificate course) in Hollywood in 1981, and the number of coked-out assholes (musicians, engineers and producers alike) I encountered put me off of wanting to work in "the industry".
Most of my friends smoked "to party" - I didn't have any close friends of the "wake and bake" variety. The world was too fascinating a place to be stoned all day long - I had things to do. Besides, I'm a lightweight, at least compared to most. A hit or two and I'm fine for hours. I couldn't see the point of sitting around sinking bongload after bongload - It just makes one cough a lot and beyond a certain point, you just don't get any higher.
I don't like to judge either, but addiction, whether physical or mental, just looks like weakness to me. Conscious, medicinal use is fine. I can attest personally to the pain-relieving value of high CBD concentrates - they're great for backaches, for example.
Harris is the person responsible for tying DEA'S hands when they were pursuing pill mills and bad docs and serial pill hunters, by making it such that law enforcement could not access the "CURES" system in California to compile data
Harris achieved a lot of her California success through her relationship with the extremely powerful Willie Brown (while he was married). When they want to be snarky, people in this state refer to her as "Heels up Harris" for a very obvious reason.
I was aware of Harris for a long time, and to be honest, I never once thought of her as black. Never entered my mind, she doesn't look black at all. We have a lot of Hispanics and people from India here (a lot of Sikhs) among many other groups, and had I even thought about it, I would have thought her to be a mix of perhaps white and something else. People are so mixed race in this state it's not something anyone really ever ponders....except for the race obsessed Democrats and other lefties.

Ok so if it's another Biden-Harris ticket. . . . And Biden bites it. . . CAN they install anyone other than the VP? I thought she HAD to take it.
Re: Harris...
Wow, I did not know that about Harris...
