Have you tried to email your Congressional Representative? I wanted to CC mine on a local issue. At our meeting with our County Supervisor, it was suggested to also CC our Congress person. Well, They don't have to give out their email. One must go through one of their District Offices and first give them your email, et cetera. I'm guessing it is to check jurisdiction and avoid Bots. I sold copiers to County offices in CA from 1980’s thru 2011. One of my departments, Vital Records, was very happy to have a copying machine that electronically deleted information on birth parents: legal status, country of origin, etc. The full birth record was saved somewhere under lock and key, the only information publicly available was devoid of the parents’ legal status in the USA. It's also mentioned in Correspondence, editorials, and some, though not all, of the documents relating to the Ordinance of Secession. Actually the Civil War was created because of the ports. The South had all those great ports thru the calmer gulf waters while the North's ports faced the brutal Atlantic. And as more trade routes opened, the South was getting all the trade.

The problem I have had with the overturning of Roe v Wade in 2022 was I always suspected this was pushed by the Dems to pressure the SCOTUS. When was an opinion written by a majority justice ever “leaked” before or since. And the leaker was never found out or at least revealed. Several blue state governors immediately used this to drum up hysteria for the midterms. And several states got referendums on ballots not only codifying abortion but taking them to extremes such as up until birth and beyond. The answer is in link state by state, but what I’ve read is that YES, this offshore voting is allowed if that persons parent or legal guardian ‘last domiciled’ in that particular state. I read this as meaning the parent or guardian could reside in US State illegally, but because they lived there, their US both tourist kid can now absentee vote in that State, even if kid never lived in US past infancy. That is wild to me. Perhaps another reason to clean up the voter rolls?

I had an overseas exemption for a portion of my income, but I had to file my U.S. tax forms every year and I paid taxes on my income after the exempted portion. This is an interesting idea. My thought was that this ruling just makes it obvious that all illegals must be deported immediately and zero pregnant women be allowed to visit the US, but you’ve taken it a step further.
Makes some sense, if we accept they’re under the jurisdiction of whatever country they came from.
However, anyone residing in the US, citizen or not, is under the direct, practical jurisdiction of the US. Which makes it even easier to deport those here illegally, provided we have the proper legislation that the Executive branch is supposed to enforce.

Who could ever think the writers of the 14th amendment, written just after the civil war in 1866 and ratified in 1868, would agree with the notion of birth tourist, many from enemy countries like China, coming to America, having children, getting citizenship for their child and then going back home. 36,000 births a year is the last stat taken, I’m sure with Roberts and Barrett’s decision, this number will increase twofold, at least. Later, for now, when the child comes back to the states the parents are able to get a type of green card status as the child’s guardian. So if we are to believe the founders intention of the 14th amendment was to let pregnant woman into America so their newborn could be a citizen of America, are we to believe the civil war was not fought over mainly freeing the slaves, but the right for foreigners to come here have children in our country that then become citizens? That is an asinine and a country destroying abrogation of the original intent of the law. As Steven Miller said yesterday “Citizenship means nothing if it is open to anyone”. I sold copiers to County offices in CA from 1980’s thru 2011. One of my departments, Vital Records, was very happy to have a copying machine that electronically deleted information on birth parents: legal status, country of origin, etc. The full birth record was saved somewhere under lock and key, the only information publicly available was devoid of the parents’ legal status in the USA. SO, good luck pulling birth certificates to verify legal citizenship of the anchor baby.

Except that if you read the constitution of the confederacy, slavery is mentioned many times. It's also mentioned in Correspondence, editorials, and some, though not all, of the documents relating to the Ordinance of Secession. It's clear that slavery was the biggest issue for them, though certainly not the only one.
Actually the Civil War was created because of the ports. The South had all those great ports thru the calmer gulf waters while the North's ports faced the brutal Atlantic. And as more trade routes opened, the South was getting all the trade.
So Slavery was fomented as the political trigger to incite war and the North (the Bankers) won and got all the ports..

A POTUS can now hire/fire the 5-member leadership within every Federal Agency (new hires, Senate-approved). This will make these agencies more partisan in their regulation application (or lack thereof), moving forward.
If a too partisan Federal Agency acts in way Congress doesn’t like, Congress can legislate to limit that Agencies authority, or even dissolve that Agency.
As a proponent of limited government, I accept this tradeoff, and return to Congress legislating as our Constitution defines.
I had the same thought regarding the battle is not over. This ruling is a mess. Completely crazy. This is like Dred Scott but not in the way the libs and Roberts and Barrett claim. It’s more like Roe v. Wade in that it created chaos and insanity for decades and produced the absolutely insane incels and narcissistic women who celebrate killing their babies on one side and normal people on the other. I agree with Jeff. It’ll not stand but it’ll take 50 years to undo what was wrought yesterday. And during that time we will have DOJs who will enforce anti- birth tourism and DOJs (Dems) who won’t. So, job 1 win the midterms. This should be issue #1 right after the safe act. And it should be a litmus test just like Roe was until it’s overturned for every Republican candidate. The problem I have had with the overturning of Roe v Wade in 2022 was I always suspected this was pushed by the Dems to pressure the SCOTUS. When was an opinion written by a majority justice ever “leaked” before or since. And the leaker was never found out or at least revealed. Several blue state governors immediately used this to drum up hysteria for the midterms. And several states got referendums on ballots not only codifying abortion but taking them to extremes such as up until birth and beyond. Transgender mutilation was often included in these referendums. Just too perfect for 2022 midterm gaslighting for me to believe it was not timed specifically for that time.
