House Democrats quietly hand Trump a permanent Fraud Division; the Journal finds one Michigan voter and misses the boom; and a week's worth of the voter fraud that never happens.
Before reading past the summary, to counter the doomers and dividers that I know will flood this today, I’d like to declare that life is financially hard, unfair, and we do struggle. But if I had to choose, and I did in 2024, I’d gladly take any financial burden just to have the administration that we have today. The affordability issue is so far down the list for me even though it defies logic, but that’s how I see it. Saving our country from the monsters that once ran it is gonna take time and some financial pain. I will not bail just because I struggle on occasion to afford the American Dream. Our nation was so far from that dream because of all the fraud and corruption of the past presidents and their administration and agencies. I believe we will be making that dream reachable once again for our children and their children, but it takes time to reverse all the damage. If the cost to me to save our nation and drain the swamp is an extra $1 per gallon of gas, I see that as a small price to pay in the long run compared to what I had to pay in the past.
Just needed to get that out. This president and his administration is worth every cent.
But Juju, take heart. If the last regime had continued, life would still be financially hard, plus we'd have the added thrill of heading straight to hell in a hand basket!
And what amazes me most is the fact that so many (non-critically thinking folks) are unable to comprehend reality. What? Are we to believe that if we just vote out "Orange Man Bad" all will be better tomorrow? Gas prices will fall overnight. Inflation rate will drop even further than what it is doing now under Trump's wonderful policies? And strangers, in passing, will nod, tip their hat, and declare a hearty "good day?"

Get real, folks. President Trump and his administration are doing the best job of running our country over and above any other president I have lived with - and there's been a few - starting with Eisenhower. The man truly cares about this country and its people. Ronald Reagan is probably the only other President that truly fit that role. The rest? Not so much, if at all. And besides the chicoms, our biggest enemy today, IMO, is the propaganda spewing Corporate MEDIA (if you want to call it that).

A primarily consumer driven economy paired with smartphones and social media creates this perception distortion in lots of people. Rather than looking inwards and acknowledging what good we have, it allows people to constantly look outwards and be jealous of what others have that they do not. We've also lost the concept of "we're all in this together working to an end goal" -- rather lots of folks (especially the 20-30's with bullshit degrees) wants the quick easy solution.
I think we've as well lost the wonder of the amazing things we do have as a society in this day and age. So, as I type this, I'm listening to music on a device that fits in my pocket and holds thousands of songs, while I am lucky enough to work out of my home, remotely supporting clients that are in both the US and Europe. We've needed some kind of mandatory service to the country post high school since the 90's. Make it a combination of military / civilian conservation corps / job training. The Covid pandemic has made me so skeptical that it could be dangerous. I no longer believe what our governments say. That also includes our healthcare. I now trust what grandma used when we were ill and it works. I now trust myself to decide what I should eat. My body knows and lets me know when I shouldn’t eat something. I am solidly in your Dad's camp. My theory is that it has all happened before, that very advanced societies have existed on Earth before. I think when technology advances too far the mechanisms of governance and administration become rickety and ultimately collapses. Then we climb back out of the caves and it starts all over again. I got 2 chayote squashes, an onion, an Anaheim pepper, and 2 plum tomatoes for $2 this week at Food King. But I also saw ice cream treats at Albertson's ranging from $5 to $9. Customers on a budget can find nutritious food for reasonable prices as long as they know how to cook for themselves.
Deer meat is my #1 protein source. But to be honest, it's not really cheap, when you figure cost of license, bow and guns, arrows (gun ammo is not significant), fuel, and time spent (although it's well spent). And many pay a lot for a place to hunt (I don't). Deer meat is cheap for a minority who have deer on their property in good numbers, or nearby. For most, if you do the math, it's not. But always worth the cost.
Don't forget the safety and security of knowing where your meat came from. Something we had formerly not considered enough before "cultured meat" (made like tumor clusters) was made available and is still not required to be on any labels nor is it required of fast food to list it.
One reason I said it's always worth the cost. I have several hunting spots, some among ag fields. But we prefer deer from areas isolated from ag fields, where the deer eat almost exclusively their natural diet, and no glyphosate and other ag chemicals.

Diesel has spiked dramatically, which is the lifeblood of the economy. So yes, groceries, along with pretty much everything else, has gone up and will continue to. This isn't rocket science folks.
The canard about "no evidence of significant fraud" is sometimes true. The left knows better than to do this everywhere, at scale. It is targeted and precise. Enough for a state house or senate seat. Where it *is* blatant is in the big blue cities. They own the machinery and the people involved, and they scoff at our efforts to find the fraud. After departing that rag, I tried the Financial Times which proved equally worthless. All that said, I am surprised your good summary missed two other critical points which one will be hard-pressed to discover in biased mass media. Firstly, diesel prices which permeate the entire economy due to importance, have spiked significantly due not only to the Middle East disruptions but importantly because Ukraine is actively attacking that infrastructure in Russia. Those areas of the world produce the most heavy crude which is the richest source of distilling diesel. Of course biased media would never want to disparage the criminal enterprise known as Ukraine. Further, raising interest rates will do absolutely nothing to lower prices of energy. Any good economist knows that but there appear to be none left at the WSJ, FT, etc.
In the West, things have sunk very low, with reports of some heads of states in the EU coking it up, reports of some extremely adolescent party behaviors ... an ungodly mess. And in the United States, much of the same kind of thing, but maybe more prevalent in Blue turf areas. And I am not totally happy with the level of conduct of the present cartoon-ish administration. Long ago, I had subscriptions to the WSJ and FT and Barrons ... and later to Investor's Business Daily. And I must say, you had me chuckling. Three of them are as you say ... virtually worthless. I did like Investor's Business Daily and it might have a certain value related to monitoring the probable direction of cash flows (by indirection) and momentum (what's trending, what's being pushed). And IBD may be useful as a screening device leading to further research and gleanings, especially now using AI as an accelerant to the learning/research curve.
Economists? Good ones left? There may be some somewhere, but they ain't in journalism per se. And no economist was ever helpful to me as to day to day or longer term market operations.
Sadly I just tried Barrons and Fortune. Again, both basically worthless. Fortune in particular appears to the magazine of envy and paid "self-promotion". Agree on the value or lack thereof of "economics" and most self-proclaimed "experts".
So it comes down to this, or so I think, and it's counterintuitive in a sense, but make the shoes to fit you and not you trying to fit into someone else's already fashioned shoes. It's probably the habit of the world, but people seem to be always trying to be something other than what God made them to be. It always works better with working with oneself, and not against due to eternal influences.
And so I made my own shoes:
1) The outside leather is based on largely very long term charts ... twenty, thirty or more years. Short term charts are noise and fun, I like them a lot. But very long term charts are your friend, and reveal the long term primary trend, and they show you the inflection points, and especially the point and/or the points indicative of early bird pickings.
2) Get a shave. You will look much better in your own shoes if you use Occam's razor. Reduce everything down to the simplest terms possible. Make your thinking, divisions of things as simple as possible. Don't necessarily think complicated or complex is better, more sophisticated, or whatever.
3) Avoid all experts like the plague. That's TV, financial planners and other various and sundry conformists.
4) People come into my room and think they are in a Wizard Room. I have a bank of three computers, each with a second display. One is trading platform dedicated. On it are two windows, list of stock, indices, things I am interested in, all divided into categories, etc. One Book Trader window, largely useless because I will not pay inordinate amounts for top level trading services I don't need, but I get a kick out of it. There are thumbnail charts, regular charts. I always have MACD at the bottom of the regular charts, a) because I love the colors, and b) it smooths out the chart movement patterns. I tried all kinds of technical indicator stuff, but gave it up, because a) I found it quite distracting, and b) it is not the way my mind works. I do pay attention to volume, particularly over great expanses of time.
5) Follow everything in the world because everything is interconnected. Pay attention to cash flows, yields, and Forex. Pay attention to central banks, BIS policy over time like when BIS moved to gold from a tier 3 asset to tier 1 asset classification (that was a big deal!). But keep it simple. And never forget a lot of stuff is rigged and that the false world is filled with evil people. Maintain a certain degree of wariness.
6) Never be the retail public, except nominally and in name only. And be in control of one's emotions, both fear and greed. Think with your head.
7) I look for and listen to people who smarter me ... but never 'the experts', never the BS crowd, never people trying to sell you the dream world stuff.
What works for me might not work for someone else. And although I think about this a lot ... in fact constantly, I never reach firm conclusions ... because I am not other people.
And any rate, you might glean from this the above why I was so taken with your post today. Getting rid of those publications is like taking the trash out on trash day. And I was glad you took the time. You sort of made my day!
We have had a drought and heat wave that killed off the corn and soybeans around here.
Therefore, when people say that harvest will be affected by the lack of diesel, I thought that maybe the insurance companies would let the farmers slide this time, instead of making them go out and harvest nothing to prove their losses.

My farmer friend says that crop insurance payments are due in 3 weeks and that usually the government waives the date-due so that they can wait until after this year's crop has been sold, but Trump has refused to do that this year.
I wonder how this hand-out ties into that. Will it come before the due date, or is this just money to Monsanto to buy up the farms of the farmers that can't pay their insurance?

Before reading past the summary, to counter the doomers and dividers that I know will flood this today, I’d like to declare that life is financially hard, unfair, and we do struggle. But if I had to choose, and I did in 2024, I’d gladly take any financial burden just to have the administration that we have today. The affordability issue is so far down the list for me even though it defies logic, but that’s how I see it. Saving our country from the monsters that once ran it is gonna take time and some financial pain. I will not bail just because I struggle on occasion to afford the American Dream. Our nation was so far from that dream because of all the fraud and corruption of the past presidents and their administration and agencies. I believe we will be making that dream reachable once again for our children and their children, but it takes time to reverse all the damage. If the cost to me to save our nation and drain the swamp is an extra $1 per gallon of gas, I see that as a small price to pay in the long run compared to what I had to pay in the past.
Just needed to get that out. This president and his administration is worth every cent.

A primarily consumer driven economy paired with smartphones and social media creates this perception distortion in lots of people. Rather than looking inwards and acknowledging what good we have, it allows people to constantly look outwards and be jealous of what others have that they do not. We've also lost the concept of "we're all in this together working to an end goal" -- rather lots of folks (especially the 20-30's with bullshit degrees) wants the quick easy solution.
I think we've as well lost the wonder of the amazing things we do have as a society in this day and age. So, as I type this, I'm listening to music on a device that fits in my pocket and holds thousands of songs, while I am lucky enough to work out of my home, remotely supporting clients that are in both the US and Europe. I have the option to talk and change the lighting in my office. It's basically Star Trek :)
We have been turned into primarily consumers, not citizens.
Passive interaction is the rule of the day -- it's why less people read or want to have deep conversations with others. Why think when you can just listen to a celebrity tell you want to believe. :)
AMEN, brother. I am 82 years old and living on a fixed income. I had to pay $4.29 per gallon for gas today in Augusta, GA, and I HATE THAT!!! But I would gladly pay $20.00 per gallon before I would ever vote for a democrat in any election, local, state, or federal.
The Economy in very Blue States (like Maryland) are performing poorly. By design. Red States are doing well.

Meat prices continue to creep up, so I actually just got on food stamps. But we still support Trump & understand what he's up against & what he's trying to do. And we will be there in person to vote red in the midterms.

We've needed some kind of mandatory service to the country post high school since the 90's. Make it a combination of military / civilian conservation corps / job training. I got 2 chayote squashes, an onion, an Anaheim pepper, and 2 plum tomatoes for $2 this week at Food King. But I also saw ice cream treats at Albertson's ranging from $5 to $9. Customers on a budget can find nutritious food for reasonable prices as long as they know how to cook for themselves.

I had a $7/week grocery budget as a college student in 1989.
Fried deer meat n taters got me through college.
Cooking oil cost more than the staples.
Deer meat is my #1 protein source. But to be honest, it's not really cheap, when you figure cost of license, bow and guns, arrows (gun ammo is not significant), fuel, and time spent (although it's well spent). And many pay a lot for a place to hunt (I don't). Deer meat is cheap for a minority who have deer on their property in good numbers, or nearby. For most, if you do the math, it's not. But always worth the cost.
Don't forget the safety and security of knowing where your meat came from. Something we had formerly not considered enough before "cultured meat" (made like tumor clusters) was made available and is still not required to be on any labels nor is it required of fast food to list it.
One reason I said it's always worth the cost. I have several hunting spots, some among ag fields. But we prefer deer from areas isolated from ag fields, where the deer eat almost exclusively their natural diet, and no glyphosate and other ag chemicals.

Firstly, diesel prices which permeate the entire economy due to importance, have spiked significantly due not only to the Middle East disruptions but importantly because Ukraine is actively attacking that infrastructure in Russia. Those areas of the world produce the most heavy crude which is the richest source of distilling diesel. Of course biased media would never want to disparage the criminal enterprise known as Ukraine. Further, raising interest rates will do absolutely nothing to lower prices of energy. Any good economist knows that but there appear to be none left at the WSJ, FT, etc.

And in the United States, much of the same kind of thing, but maybe more prevalent in Blue turf areas. And I am not totally happy with the level of conduct of the present cartoon-ish administration. And then there was the report of 'the lost coke' in the Biden White House (maybe Hunter?). And then, in the Ukraine, a whole generation of men slaughtered of for the sake of another CIA induced war.
I don't see how we in the US and the Western World skip Scot-free from all of the dissolution. There is a price to be paid coming and I don't think that we will like it.

Long ago, I had subscriptions to the WSJ and FT and Barrons ... and later to Investor's Business Daily. And I must say, you had me chuckling. Three of them are as you say ... virtually worthless. I did like Investor's Business Daily and it might have a certain value related to monitoring the probable direction of cash flows (by indirection) and momentum (what's trending, what's being pushed). And IBD may be useful as a screening device leading to further research and gleanings, especially now using AI as an accelerant to the learning/research curve.
Economists? Good ones left? There may be some somewhere, but they ain't in journalism per se. And no economist was ever helpful to me as to day to day or longer term market operations.
Sadly I just tried Barrons and Fortune. Again, both basically worthless. Fortune in particular appears to the magazine of envy and paid "self-promotion". Agree on the value or lack thereof of "economics" and most self-proclaimed "experts".
So it comes down to this, or so I think, and it's counterintuitive in a sense, but make the shoes to fit you and not you trying to fit into someone else's already fashioned shoes. It's probably the habit of the world, but people seem to be always trying to be something other than what God made them to be. It always works better with working with oneself, and not against due to eternal influences.
And so I made my own shoes:
1) The outside leather is based on largely very long term charts ... twenty, thirty or more years. Short term charts are noise and fun, I like them a lot. But very long term charts are your friend, and reveal the long term primary trend, and they show you the inflection points, and especially the point and/or the points indicative of early bird pickings.
2) Get a shave. You will look much better in your own shoes if you use Occam's razor. Reduce everything down to the simplest terms possible. Make your thinking, divisions of things as simple as possible. Don't necessarily think complicated or complex is better, more sophisticated, or whatever.
3) Avoid all experts like the plague. That's TV, financial planners and other various and sundry conformists.
4) People come into my room and think they are in a Wizard Room. I have a bank of three computers, each with a second display. One is trading platform dedicated. On it are two windows, list of stock, indices, things I am interested in, all divided into categories, etc. One Book Trader window, largely useless because I will not pay inordinate amounts for top level trading services I don't need, but I get a kick out of it. There are thumbnail charts, regular charts. I always have MACD at the bottom of the regular charts, a) because I love the colors, and b) it smooths out the chart movement patterns. I tried all kinds of technical indicator stuff, but gave it up, because a) I found it quite distracting, and b) it is not the way my mind works. I do pay attention to volume, particularly over great expanses of time.
5) Follow everything in the world because everything is interconnected. Pay attention to cash flows, yields, and Forex. Pay attention to central banks, BIS policy over time like when BIS moved to gold from a tier 3 asset to tier 1 asset classification (that was a big deal!). But keep it simple. And never forget a lot of stuff is rigged and that the false world is filled with evil people. Maintain a certain degree of wariness.
6) Never be the retail public, except nominally and in name only. And be in control of one's emotions, both fear and greed. Think with your head.
7) I look for and listen to people who smarter me ... but never 'the experts', never the BS crowd, never people trying to sell you the dream world stuff.
What works for me might not work for someone else. And although I think about this a lot ... in fact constantly, I never reach firm conclusions ... because I am not other people.
And any rate, you might glean from this the above why I was so taken with your post today. Getting rid of those publications is like taking the trash out on trash day. And I was glad you took the time. You sort of made my day!

My farmer friend says that crop insurance payments are due in 3 weeks and that usually the government waives the date-due so that they can wait until after this year's crop has been sold, but Trump has refused to do that this year.
I wonder how this hand-out ties into that. Will it come before the due date, or is this just money to Monsanto to buy up the farms of the farmers that can't pay their insurance?
