I have started becoming an obituary reader. My analysis over the last year: ages 55 to 75 have become the new norm for the phrase, “died unexpectedly”. We had 4 such in my small town last month and just this morning, another one. No one seems to question it….

Within ONE week, I learned from church friends about 5 sudden deaths, all friends or family of those reporting. One was a high school age girl. The others: a 50 year old man died in his sleep, a 57 year old woman sat down to watch a movie at home and died, a 60 year old man died suddenly of a heart attack, and a 30 something year old man died suddenly of a heart attack. We have a friend, fully vaxxed and boosted, who was diagnosed with diabetes, then almost immediately with aggressive pancreatic cancer. Her prognosis is extremely poor. One of our pastors who was vaxxed, has been unable to work since early January. He has been repeatedly sick and is said to have autoimmune issues. A close friend was severely injured after a booster last May and has, so far, been unable to return to her family's ministry in Central America. It looks as if they are going to have to close down the ministry. I could go on and on. How are so many still blind? Is it willful blindness or just stupidity?

Mark Crispen Miller puts out a substack every week with “sudden” deaths. The lists get longer each week and many more young people. The sheer numbers are heartbreaking.

Yes, I get that in email and it breaks my heart every time. The 16 year old boy he mentioned yesterday who died after a reactivation of Epstein Barr was particularly sad.

Me too. I quit taking our local rag as its liberal BS but my D 84 YO mother still takes the paper and she reads the obits for people she knows, I read them to see if cause of death is listed. 'unexpectedly' is definitely thrown in there a lot.

Yes, I too keep up on my home town. Unexpected death, and At Home (no time to seek medical help) Key phrases. So many in unexpected age groups. Ugh

Yup! My fully vaxxed & boosted brother in law died recently of clogged arteries and failed kidneys. But he was 71 and a lifelong diabetic so his death is automatically assumed to be from his diabetes. And I’m sure it played a part. But so did the shots! So many deaths in people over 50 not being connected due to other health factors. You can not see that for which you do not look.

I live in a small foothills area with a lot of over 60's. I also read the obits, but the large number of sudden deaths in the 30s , 40s and 50s has been shocking. We still have a lot of older people dying at very old ages as they always have, so they've obviously survived covid lunacy. But the younger ones....
