Israel must eradicate Hamas. It is an existential threat. How smart would it have been for them to rush into Gaza without preparation when Hamas has been preparing for this war for over a year and probably for much longer. Ultimately Israel will act and go into Gaza as it has no other choice. This is not a replay of the Yom Kippur war. This is closer to 1948 for Israel. Miraculously, they defeated their enemies then, and they will again.
The comments about intelligence agencies allowing this in order to get rid of Netanyahu are, unfortunately, believable. But one only has to read The Book of Psalms to know that this is isn’t anything new. Betrayal of all morals is part and parcel of the human condition, but so is faith and hope in G-d.
