Exactly what do people think when an Axis whether in WWII or today with the ChiCom-Russia-Mullahs Axis happens when APPEASEMENT is the only thing standing in their way?
SMH, this is the exact same thing we saw leading into WWII. Exact. Hey 🐴, exact?

Yes, I said exact because it's that exact with the voices of isolationism leading into WWII for the US entrance as well. They are smaller today but they are more focused deploying ignorance and bad analogies. More on that later.
Why can’t Ukraine be a neutral state as some other states are and as it was before and there was peace? They can go to EU but why do they also need to join NATO? Before all this Ukraine-NATO talk there was PEACE in that region. This only causes problems for everyone. I really don’t think most of Americans are looking forward to sending their sons and daughters to fight foreign wars. It’s been predicted years ago that this policy would drive Russia closer to China and that’s exactly what’s happening. Things are going great! Not.
I meant if they stayed neutral before the invasion then invasion wouldn’t happen I believe. Like Switzerland, Japan, Austria, they all have a high standard of living no? Ukraine is very rich in natural resources https://amp.theguardian.com/world/2008/apr/04/nato.russia I found this article from 2008 and this issue has been already brewing back then. I don’t think Putin was doing anything to anyone before about 2008, was he? Whoever is right or wrong I don’t know but there is a cause and effect. Some political science professors were saying we would drive Russia in China’s arms and instead we should have cooperated with Russia against China which is a bigger threat to us and much more powerful economically than Russia, and the world is as unstable as ever.
Why can't Ukraine be neutral when Putin has been planning and now invading the country?
Do you think Putin cares about neutrality? I refer you to Putin's summer 2021 article where he declared Russia was ripped off and Ukraine was part of Russia as one people?
Although it's ridiculous lie, he acted on it and well, you know there's a saying, eff around and find out. Putin is finding out.
Finland and Sweden are finding out and acting on it with applications to NATO. What do you think they and so many other countries around the world and in Europe know that you don't? Or do you think you know what's best for them in remaining sitting ducks for Putin's imperial empire since the "catastrophe" as you call it imploded the Soviet Union?
There was not peace in the region. Russia was crippled with the economic crisis following the implosion of the Soviet Union. Russia recovered and then went on attacks in Georgia, Crimea and east Ukraine where Putin's war began in 2014.
Many have predicted the rise of the ChiCom-Russia Axis years ago. The US didn't drive them together; they are natural allies sharing a totalitarian vision of a "multi-polar" world which Putin has been yearning and bellyaching for over years.
None of this is out of the realm of public information. It's just ignored here and so Americans then only "know" a little after the fact. Putin has been publicly stating much of this for some years he just was ignored. Until he started his war of aggression illegally invading Ukraine.
Now we have all kinds of people who ignore facts then and now but are experts, self-declared experts on all of this. They don't know more than a single soundbite of Putin propaganda about "family" but they know best. SMH
This is the natural outgrowth of a weakened America and the Afghanistan debacle, Crimea seizure, etc.
Ukraine lost its chance to be a neutral, peaceful, maybe even prosperous nation when it got in bed (or was infiltrated) by the unipolar forces that direct this "rules based" (globalist) world order we find ourselves in (it's funny how you refer to the emerging "multipolar" world like it's a bad thing).
At the time the Special Military Operation was launched, there were several hundred thousands Ukrainian troops amassed in the East on the border of the Donbass republics who had claimed their sovereignty and independence from a Ukraine that treated them like shit and has since killed thousands of civilians with indiscriminate shelling campaigns in recent years. The SMO was a long overdue rescue mission for the millions of ethnic Russians in East Ukraine AND an unfortunate necessity to preserve border security.
The sun is setting on the West, America in particular, and there is a dark reason why US-backed Western nations are so hell bent on this proxy war with Russia. Compared to the sickening hypocrisy on display given US-lead atrocities committed in Belgrade, Kosovo, Libya, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, what's happening in the East of Ukraine (and nowhere else) is minor in comparison.
But keep on peddling those lies and carrying water for evil.
