(Feel free to skip to the link at the bottom for the original story, but MSM's objective of influencing rather than inquiring, investigating, or reporting anything that doesn't contribute to that objective is noteworthy.)

MSM has ceded all pretense of objectivity. Look at the list of about 60 Minnesota companies/organizations that signed a letter, dated Jan 25, 2026, to Tim Walz, et al., encouraging cooperation with the Feds, and then consider that MSM has not uttered a word about it (that I’ve heard). This letter apparently preceded Walz’s call to Trump, but a functioning news media would have recognized and reported this sentiment from prominent Minnesota businesses, instead of wall-to-wall replays of the skirmish that resulted in the death of the mountain climbing nurse who sacrificed himself for the media/anti-Trump/democrat/fraud/anti-ICE/pro-violent crime cause.

The NYPost reported on that story about the MN companies...they also ran a story today about the St Paul Police Federation president blaming the politicians for not allowing the cops to do crowd control.

Donna in MO's avatar

Actually I read that Crowds on Demand's CEO said they were NOT staffing in Minneapolis, https://www.foxnews.com/us/crowd-for-hire-boss-rejects-minneapolis-unrest-illegal-chaos, although there are other protestor staffing companies, names escape me at the moment.

I think at least some portion of these people are true believers, not getting paid but they are being trained in formal classes being held, and called to protests via the Signal network. Have seen videos on X of AWFL's talking about 'getting their affairs in order' in case they are killed, the ultimate virtue signal post saying they are willing to die for the cause. Of course saying it vs actually doing something that stupid are 2 different things....

Erin Fight's avatar

All good, but, still wouldn't trust ANYTHING faux news says.

BBS's avatar

On a side note, you mentioned Fox. Where is Lawrence Jones--one of the 3 anchors of Fox and Friends? Fox says he is taking a break, but I don't buy that. Here one day, gone the next. Lawrence Jones calls it like he sees it. The people who sit on the throne at Fox don't like that--just ask Tucker.

RunningLogic's avatar

And you would believe what they say because… ??

Donna in MO's avatar

Well, if I were the CEO of Crowds on Demand, (Adam Swart) I would be putting the business at risk of lawsuits and possible criminal prosecution if I were sending people to do illegal things.

"Blocking roadways, obstructing federal agents and threatening authorities are illegal, and we don’t engage in any form of illegal protest," Swart said, warning the chaos playing out on city streets will have the opposite effect demonstrators claim to want. "The impact of these protests will actually be to increase ICE operations, not decrease them." Swart said mixing peaceful protesters with agitators creates serious risks on multiple fronts.

Not saying there are not people who may be getting paid, but probably more like cash under the table vs a formal company. But nothing much surprises me any more.

Wait a minute, the MSM doesn't have the people's interest in mind? The MSM is a propaganda arm of the government? Say it isn't so!

Skenny's avatar

That would be a "propaganda arm of the Democrats." They are committed anti-Trumpers and anti-ICE.

Jimmy Gleeson's avatar

A lot of the government is still very much deep state and in line with the democratic party, hence why the propaganda continues, and even if the propaganda stops, we have all seen the legacy of it. There are still many that want the salad days of Covid restrictions back and they love the idea of demanding accommodation of the masses in service of the few.

The local Minneapolis news feeds are calling the encrypted Signal chat participants β€˜rapid responders’

RunningLogic's avatar

I’d read that too but definitely not on mainstream sources.

ADM's avatar

Now, let's cross check this list of companies with those who donated or supported anti-ICE protests and pro-illegal immigrant policies. Target has a long history of Woke lefty policies, as have a number of the sports teams. I can't speak for the others, but I suspect a lot of them have foundations or donation structures that have funded and supported exactly the demonstrators who are causing chaos in the Cities. Even here in California, where we have a much larger immigrant population we haven't had nearly this much violence and chaos. Maybe because a lot of the immigrants here want the criminal illegals out of their neighborhoods so that they can have the safety that attracted them to the US.

Donna in MO's avatar

I looked at https://www.dhs.gov/wow - 3072 arrests in CA vs only 486 in MN. Granted, CA a more populous state but seems like ICE is getting more of them successfully in your state.

SH's avatar

Since those listed businesses want Walz to work with DHS, I doubt you'll find many of them on the paying side of protesters. All the idiots had to do was open jails/prisons to ICE. Kinda stupid not to, since the people there have continued to prove they are a problem - that's why they are in jail. What's going to crush Walz, Frey & Co will be the MN fraud. They had $$$$$ of that stolen money, in their campaigns if not their pockets. https://youtu.be/fa93mwT0fNc?si=l6zLV5R5iR8HWExJ

THAT'S VERY IMPORTANT TO KEEP IN MIND: "The darkest hour is just before dawn." And Churchill said it clear to a school full of frightened students during the Nazi bombing of London: "Never, never, never, never, never,. never, never ... give up!" That's why we turn to God in prayer, act with confidence to do what is right, and never despair: 1) He is on the side of righteousness 2) We know these anti-ICE protests are a tactic to distract/prevent investigation of cosmic levels of fraud and OTHER crimes spawned by that fraud 3) Thus we know that God is on our side in supporting the extermination of this criminal scheme hijacking law and decency.

The media and reporters should stop using the word "protester". These people are not protesters, they are not part of a legally permitted demonstration, they are not peacefully expressing their disagreement. They are violent agitators and disrupters.

They are part of a well organized insurgency group, part of a "color revolution" against a sitting President. They are intentionally obstructing justice and the legal authority of ICE. They are even funded by foreign nationals, promoted by Hillary Clinton and Obama. Data Republican showed this connection. This is what America is up against.

Delightful Designs's avatar

There are lots of things the media needs to quit lying about, whether by actual misinformation or word choices.

You are correct, that is one of the more annoying ones.

I also hate how some people are "man" but others the same age are "teen" depending on the spin they want on it.

Skenny's avatar

There's a blurry line between media misinformation and simply being good, old-fashioned "full of shit."

On an island's avatar

Jimmy Gleeson's avatar

That's not a "blurry line" that's diarrhea.

RunningLogic's avatar

And also by what they intentionally leave out. I guess that’s technically misinformation but it’s somewhat different than outright lying.

Juju's avatar

Respectfully disagree on one thing: I’ve never seen withholding info as different. I’ve always seen it as the exact same as voicing a lie. The same way someone who condones the behavior of a bully by not speaking up is just as guilty as the bully because they allowed it to continue, it’s silent permission. I know others disagree with my take on that but it’s the way I have always seen it. Leaving out key facts that might change perspectives is purposefully allowing false perspectives to remain - that’s basically what lying is for.

Dave aka Geezermann's avatar

I would say that the use of AI to "pretty up" Pretti's photo is also a form of lying to the public.

RunningLogic's avatar

Lying by omission. I understand what you mean but do think they are different, though equally bad/destructive.

RunningLogic's avatar

But tbh it’s splitting hairs, in the end…

KCwoofie's avatar

A shocking whistleblower from within the hospital system has come forward with a grave warning: the term β€œvaccine” is quietly disappearing from medical consent forms β€” replaced with the broad and deceptive category of β€œBiologics” or β€œBiogenics.”

Under this new classification, patients could be injected with vaccines and other biological products without their explicit consent β€” even while unconscious under anesthesia.

According to the insider, new hospital and surgical consent forms now refer to a category called Biologics/Biogenics β€” a vague umbrella term that includes a wide range of substances and medical treatments containing living organisms or their byproducts.

What does that include? The U.S. FDA’s own list of approved Biologics/Biogenics covers:

Vaccines

Gene therapy

Monoclonal antibodies

Whole blood and blood plasma

Blood platelets and red blood cells

Stem cells and T-cells

Growth factors

Allergenics and antitoxins

Recombinant proteins

Hormone replacement therapies (HRT)

Immunotherapies

Botox

In short, signing a consent form authorizing β€œBiologics/Biogenics” may give medical staff the legal right to inject or infuse you with any of these products β€” at their discretion.

Who is sending all of the paid protestors their 1099NECs for 2025?

Are the protestors filing a Schedule C 1099NEC??

Asking for all the IRS agents who should be asking.

Capone went to prison via the IRS.

Any funding over $600 needs to have an attached 1099NEC. Granted the IRS normally doesn't criminally go after Joe Blow tax payer who forgot to file their 1099NEC. However, this level of funding is a different beast. The protestor payments either via SNAIL mail or electronic means crossed state lines. Failure to provide 1099NECs at that point would meet some of the elements of Tax Fraud associated with the RICO statute.

Go after the money and taxes. Someone is on the hook for providing the 1099s and all the protestors are responsible for filing each 1099.

Juju's avatar

If they are so handy and fast with supplying gas masks and glove warmers and snacks, they probably are handy at paying in cash?

Primum non nocere's avatar

Doesnt matter: An audit will show money gping out of accounts. If its converted to cash first to avoid 1099s, then criminal charges come next. See my other post in this thread

Dave aka Geezermann's avatar

They are outlaws and criminals. They don't have any intention of abiding by the law.

Primum non nocere's avatar

Just so that everyone understands how much teeth and legs the 1099 thing actually has in penalties and criminal charges:

https://www.irs.gov/payments/information-return-penalties

Civil charges:

"We charge penalties for each information return you didn’t file correctly or on time, and for each payee statement you didn’t provide correctly on time. " - IRS

Soooo... in 2025 for example, for EACH payment made to a protestor that was NOT followed up by a 1099NEC (aka intentionally not sending out 1099), the penalty is $660 for EACH of the 1099 not sent.

Here is the breakdown for previous years:

2026 $680

2025 $660

2024 $630

2023 $580

2022 $570

2021 $560

2020 $550

Soooo... lets say the IRS looks at (audits) Acme Protestor Funder LLC from 2020 through 2025 and finds, for easy math, 1,000 individual 1099s not sent.

2025 = $660,000 fine

2024 = $630,000 fine

2023 = $580,000 fine

2022 = $570,000 fine

2021 = $560,000 fine

2020 = $550,000 fine

Total = $3,550,500 fine plus interest, etc

But wait, there is more; here the fun stuff

Criminal issues with not reporting 1099s

Tax Evasion (26 U.S.C. Β§ 7201): A felony charge that can result in up to five years in federal prison and fines of up to $250,000 for individuals or $500,000 for corporations.

Willful Failure to File/Supply Information (26 U.S.C. Β§ 7203): This can be a misdemeanor, but if determined to be part of a fraudulent scheme, can carry up to one year in prison per unfiled return and fines up to $100,000.

Making False Statements (26 U.S.C. Β§ 7206): If you filed a business tax return (e.g., Form 1120-S or 1065) and answered "No" to the question asking if you were required to file 1099s, this can be charged as a felony (perjury) with up to three years in prison.

Juju's avatar

But how do they prove there were 1,000 individuals to begin with?

Minneapolis: As the weeks went by, I must admit, with the George Floyd outrage fresh in my mind, I was more than a little frustrated with Trump for not taking control, for not using the Insurrection Act. But then came my lightbulb moment, Of course, I knew Minneapolis was staged in order to deflect from the fraud story, but then it occurred to me that the powers-that-be behind these paid "protesters" had another goal. They WANTED Trump to use the Insurrection Act. They were baiting him to use the Insurrection Act! That would be PROOF that he is, indeed, a fascist dictator. Well, he didn't bite. But then he never does.

In my little mind I decided that letting this β€œpaid protestors” thing keep going was a way for the Trump people to do the behind the scenes research to catch the payers of such underground revolutionists. It was definitely NOT a group of concerned citizens but a color revolution in place there on the streets in MN. I also believe that this revolution has been going on for sometime and we weren’t aware of it until it hit us in the face with the amount of hate against Trump. It isn’t just democrats but many republicans that want this country to be destroyed and made into a socialist nation. I never distrust Trump. ha ha. I really don't mind the tattoos. Everyone under 30 sports them now. Too bad they don't know the inks wind up in your lymph system and lead to increased cancers. But I have to say I LIKE Starbucks. I've had nothing but good experiences with every employee I've dealt with at the ones I go to. All very nice people just trying to make a living. And now, they have these machines that grind and brew a fresh cup of coffee for each order so you don't get anything sitting in a pot anymore, which too many coffee houses still do. Some of the best coffee from those machines. I never bother with the "fancy drinks" loaded with sugar and flavorings.

Jeff S's avatar

The machine at my local Maverick gas station brews fresh coffee on demand using a premium high caffeine blend. It's fresh, and it's cheap. I am too.

Another useless hypocritical liberal chucklehead self-destructs: β€œSilence of the Toads”

Meet Darrin Bell - https://www.pulitzer.org/winners/darrin-bell-freelancer

Bell won the Pulitzer Prize for editorial cartooning in 2019 as a freelancer. He was recognized for "beautiful and daring editorial cartoons that took on issues affecting disenfranchised communities, calling out lies, hypocrisy and fraud in the political turmoil surrounding the Trump administration," according to the awards website. Wait for ………………………...it

The heralded prize winner and sanctimonious icon of the progressive loons was arrested on Wednesday Jan. 16, accused of possessing 134 videos depicting child sex abuse. Bell was being held on $1 million bail Thursday at the Sacramento County Main Jail. A woman who identified herself as Bell's wife said Thursday afternoon in a brief telephone interview, "Pray for me and my children." She declined to comment further.

Here we have yet another textbook example proving once again that every progressive liberal’s haphazard accusations turn out to be confessions. It’s the gift that keeps on giving. Hopefully, this creeping Jesus boogeyman will be updating his resume to highlight his new found β€œtalents” for his potential employers. Wonder if he’ll be keeping his paltry Pulitzer?

Have a great day. Fight the good fight.

Kerrylee's avatar

I totally forgot about that story. It was reported on some time ago and then quickly disappeared. Your Pulitzer Prize reference brought to mind Walter Duranty, who helped cover up Stalin's murderous rampage. Apparently, many knew about this but ensured the story was hidden. I often wonder if Karl Popper's theory that nationalism was the cause of so much rampage would have had the traction it has had if the truth about Stalin was known earlier.

Birthright citizenship is on the docket too. In its 2025–26 term, the Supreme Court of the United States will decide the constitutionality of President Trump’s executive order limiting birthright citizenship.

Oral arguments are expected to take place in the spring of 2026; the Supreme Court is expected to issue a ruling by summer 2026.

Birthright citizenship of those born to illegal immigrants, who thumb their noses at our laws and refuse to assimilate, then connect their children to the welfare state immediately after birth, getting their sacred social security number, creates cradle to grave dependency on the government.

Looking over the plaintiffs' affidavits in the lawsuit, it all too plain to see that dependency on the government is the end game, literally: https://lizlasorte.substack.com/p/doe-v-trump-birthright-citizenship?r=76q58

lI suspect the Pfizer deal involved allowing them to go ahead and run TV ads, which some comments had earlier been made to ban all pharma ads. Danged, I sure wish they had. I get so sick of seeing all these people with their skin maladies and how happy they get when they take

Projectile vomiting (50% of users),

leg cramps, and frequent bowel movements (up to every ten minutes).

Compulsive repetition of "no can do",

visions of the Virgin Mary in treetops, and an urge to shout "I'm gonna whop you wid da ugly stick!" during a Catholic Mass.

Men may experience impotence during intercourse but powerful erections otherwise,

painful urination while sitting, and lockjaw.

Women may suffer loss of libido, voice deepening by an octave, increased ankle hair, and lowering of a testicle.

Unusual physical changes: lumpy back syndrome, bloated fingertips on the heart-side hand, stone-like body density (making flotation devices useless), and shortened intestines by twenty-one feet.

Retroactive birth defects, geiger counter ticks, phantom third arm, levitation illusions, and language inversions like "Hi, are how you?"

Addictive cravings: An insatiable desire to take another dose twenty minutes after ingestion β€” so strong that users are advised to have a friend handcuff them to a large kitchen appliance to prevent relapse.

The drug is also said to contain bizarre ingredients such as crack cocaine, pork bladders, crushed saxophone reeds, gunpowder, and English muffins.

The final warning notes the drug is legal in the U.S. only when the user is straddling a state line.”

CNN was actually trying to plant the details around the broken rib for sympathy. What caught my eye is what they actually said was, β€œhe was taking medicine commonly prescribed for a broken rib”. 🀨 um …. No. He wasn’t. They don’t prescribe ANY medicine for rib fractures. Advil at most, which wouldn’t be notable so if that’s what he was taking they milked the reason and misled the seriousness. If he were on a prescription pain med for it, then it would have been of the severity that he could not have walked as easily as he did in the videos, so which is it?? There is NOTHING they can treat rib fractures with these days. As a matter of fact my orthopedic JUST canceled an appointment last week with the doctor who treated my last rib fracture stating β€œwe don’t treat broken ribs anymore”. So it’s hogwash to state there’s a common medicine prescribed for broken ribs. So why even say that?? Did they think we would contest he had a fractured rib? Or were they trying to milk sympathy by making it sound like, β€œβ€¦the poor man was beaten! He’s on medicine for that beating!”

Let me readjust my legs to find a comfortable position here with the TWO broken ribs I am presently contending with as I type this. I’m in week four and it’s STILL highly painful and impossible to easily sleep at night. No way in hell could I have easily been walking around streets one week after my fall, and certainly not as spritely as he was. Deep breaths are like getting stabbed, a sneeze is literal torture, and a cough stops all train of thought until you can brace yourself to get through it. That’s how painful every little movement you make is. I wasn’t able to walk around easily after two weeks much less one. And Ive broken two others over the past four years to know this pattern: once from simply laying on my stomach, (I was 65lb heavier back then) and one doing the leg press at the gym. This time I took a fall on ice and landed smack dab on my rib cage on the stoop outside. You could say I’m an an expert in rib fractures and their life-cycles of healing (not clean breaks, of which he NEVER would have been able to easily walk away with OR return to scuffle a week later if his was a clean break. So … that means his was (purportedly) a fracture.)

They try to improve more than his features, they try to improve the story details to trigger sympathy over yet another situation that was entirely his fault.

Ruth H's avatar

I had a broken rib and my doctor said it would hurt for six weeks. Painful to sleep, painful to get out of bed. No meds. I remember getting out of bed and it didn’t hurt. Looked at calendar and it was exactly the end of 6 weeks. Mine broke when I passed out and fell on the bath tub edge. I was on a cruise, when I came home saw doc who did all kinds of tests to determine why I blacked out. It was not from drinking alcohol, before you wonder.

CHop's avatar

I had "a broken" rib and was given Vicadin for about 3 weeks. Without it, I couldn't move without debilitating muscle cramps. My rib was separated and I suspected I had some cracked ribs in my back too.

So yes, if he was on prescription medication, its doubtful he wouldn't be able to move much.

Starsky's avatar

When I was in college, I pulled a muscle between my ribs, so not a fracture, but a muscle pull and it was one of the most excruciating injuries ever. Couldn’t sleep, move, breathe, or laugh. I was on a regular dose of Advil plus Flexeril, but that was it. Wrapping didn’t help either.

Still in progress's avatar

Our urgent care gives lidocaine patches for broken ribs.

Juju's avatar

After four fractures they have never once given me that. But - I DID try the DMSO cream I had on hand last week! I had a razor sharp pain just under the skin that was unbearable and it did help that particular pinching/slicing but it did nothing for the primary pains of the fracture. It can’t reach deep enough.

My hunch is his was melodramatic and exaggerated to make ICE look like Gestapo bullies. Some of my fractures showed on an X-ray, others didn’t, but for the ones that did it was hard to discern the severity without a CT scan. He probably had a bruised rib, which has a lot of the same pain as a fracture, and could easily be misdiagnosed without X-ray as a fracture, but you have a LOT easier mobility when it’s just bruised. He had mobility, no question about that. I question the β€œbroken rib” with how mobile he was so soon after, and for me I’d want to see that he was given an X-ray and that it alone was conclusive of a fracture. Not that he was on some medicine. None of it makes sense after experiencing what I have with rib fractures that he could do what he did just a week later.

Synickel's avatar

If Pretti actually had a broken or cracked rib, he wouldn't have been out to participate in riots for another month, unless he was Walter Payton's ghost. I had one, and just barely moving is excruciating for weeks. Breathing can even hurt.

I broke five ribs in a motorcycle wreck in 2024 and was up and about the next day. It's painful, but it can be done.

Juju's avatar
2hEdited

We’re all five actual fractures that showed clearly on scans? Some of them may have just been bruised, as the symptoms are exactly the same. But just one makes most people immobile the next day but it actually gets worse after one week. My best days were the two right after I broke them. After a week I entered hell

Andrew's avatar
2hEdited

Yeah, sometimes you're forced by circumstances. I broke 2 falling off my KLX650 beside Lake Natron. The 8hr return ride to Arusha got exponentially more painful by the hour. Eventually had to sit out of earshot of my trailriding clubmates constant wisecracking whenever we stopped for a puncture repair or rider tally. It was especially brutal because they thought it great fun getting me to laugh against my will.

When still really sore a week later I got an x-ray. At the time I'd thought they were just bruised, maybe cracked. Way more than grateful I hadn't punctured a lung out there!

Synickel's avatar

You are unusual, especially if you were able to still join in with peaceful protest scuffles a few days later.

Juju's avatar

Sitting here with two fractured ribs right now and in week four and I still can’t take a deep breath at all without a yelp. After one week I was only able to lay in my bed and could NOT roll over. Getting up was an afternoon long activity as was laying back down.

When I broke just one last year I had the exact same pain and experience so whether it’s just one or three the pain is the exact same.

It is nearly impossible to move like he did in those videos with a broken rib.

Synickel's avatar

Exactly. Get well!

PamelaZelie's avatar

Depends upon the individual. I broke 4 ribs falling down the stairs years ago. After a stay in the hospital, I found the discomfort mild and non-debilitating.

Synickel's avatar

I tend to believe that it in part depends on how much conditioned muscle is available in that area to contract and push against the rib cage, and whether there are nerve endings affected.

I have a friend who just had the end joint of his index finger bitten off by a mastiff. He is a very studly guy, but the pain has been debilitating, and narcotics useless now for 3 weeks. I had another friend who had the ends of 2 fingers cut off in a table saw, and he felt very little residual pain, and went back to work as a carpenter a few days later. The human body is amazing.
