"I was working as a waitress at a truck stop diner when an older trucker came in looking devastated. He ordered coffee but barely touched it, just sat there with his head in his hands. 'Rough day?' I asked. He looked up with red eyes. 'I just got the call. My wife had a stroke. She's in ICU three states away and I can't afford to fly. By the time I drive there...'

He couldn't finish. I told him I'd be right back. I went to every trucker in that diner and explained quietly.

Within twenty minutes, they'd pooled together $1,200 in cash. I brought it to his table. 'There's an airport 40 miles from here. You can make the last flight tonight.' He stared at the money, then at all of us, completely speechless. 'I don't... I can't...' An older driver stood up. 'We're all out here away from family. We take care of our own. Go be with your wife.'

He made that flight. Three weeks later, he came back with his wife, recovering, using a walker but smiling. They had breakfast with every trucker they could find from that night. She hugged each one, crying.

He handed me an envelope with all the money back plus extra. 'For the next driver who needs help.' That envelope is still going five years later. We've helped fourteen families."β€”Sandra M., Oklahoma City, OK

I would much, MUCH rather read stories like this that weave American warmth and relay decency in our hearts than watch a viral video of a labor and delivery nurse filming herself wishing vile catastrophic perineal trauma on another human. BOOM.

Someone really should find a way to put a video together of this story, even if just reading it, preferably interviewing the waitress and truckers, then post it side by side with that wretched nurse and caption β€œwhich people would YOU rather be associated with?”

I have ALWAYS had a soft spot for long haul drivers - while calling on clients during my field sales rep days, eating at diners along major interstate highways was a regular part of my 'field routine'. I would invariably strike up a conversation with a single guy sitting at a table that looked "road weary" because THESE GUYS see it all. I had a more INTELLIGENT conversation with them than any "elite university graduate"....KEEP ON TRUCKIN' (unfortunately--now...long haul drivers by and large are illegal immigrants who don't even speak English. I'm getting this information from people living near major metro areas whose integrity I trust after knowing them for over 15 years on a personal level. "Driverless trucks" are the future of motorized vehicles--I WELCOME that, believe it or not, because these "illegal immigrant drivers" are ditzes and create more hazards on major highways that we really do NOT need in our country.

It’s been a few years, but during my concealed weapons class I recall the instructor’s clear and concise injunction: β€œIf you’re carrying a concealed weapon and an officer of the law says: β€œStop right there…put your hands up, hands down, hands on, hands off, left foot blue, do the hokey-pokey," whatever…..you do it. No complaints. No sudden movements. No resistance. No dirt nap. Simple. Sadly however, if you happen to be a 5’ 2” female at the Capitol building, and are NOT carrying a concealed weapon you can indeed be legally shot by β€œan officer” in retaliation for the act of not carrying a concealed weapon. - Precedent set by Biden's DOJ 2021

At first, diving into the Minnesota fraud chronicles the obvious question to ask was: β€œWho’s involved in this? Now, given the degree of coordinated effort to support the violent street mobs, the more appropriate question would be: β€œWho isn’t involved in this?” Meanwhile, in an impressive show of force, the Minnesota National Guard has been deployed to pummel the insurrectionists with tea and crumpets.

Dave aka Geezermann's avatar

I have zero sympathy for Pretti. He was INTENTIONALLY involving himself where he knew he could face harm, because he wanted to CAUSE harm to the ICE agents. I loved the way Jeff described the whole thing, and how the fake news is spinning it to support the insurgents.

The Imaginary Hobgoblin's avatar

Minnesota should re-nicknamed: The Land of 10,000 Frauds.

The current mob rule is obviously a cover for what, apparently, has been ground zero for unprecedented amounts of grift and corruption that has been going on for over a decade. On June 14, 2025, Minnesota state representative Melissa Hortman was the only Democrat who voted to stop free healthcare for illegals. Five days later she along with her husband were assassinated in a shooting at her home in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. But, I’m sure it’s another one of those β€œweird timing” coincidences that we’ve been hearing so much about. Can't we be neighborly and gift Canada with Minnesota and call it a day?.. .but let's take Merry with us. πŸ™‚

Merry McIntyre's avatar

Vance Boelter, the man accused of shooting the Melissa, her husband & their dog, claimed in his manifesto that Walz put him up to it. This makes sense since the fraud has been exposed.

Ellen's avatar

What do people "have" on Waltz? Must be something pretty bad.

YourGalapagosGullfriend's avatar

The fact that his political career was bankrolled by the CCP and Somalians. Walz is a retard, but even he knows that dealing with the people who put him on top is way scarier than dealing with President Trump, hence the false bravado that reeks of desperation.

Porge's avatar

Walz is in very deep doo doo !πŸ’©πŸ’©πŸ’©

PrayerWarrior's avatar

Honestly how can people not see the connection

And this whole peaceful protest is to try to deflect the fraud that is being uncovered

These people want to live like this ? Crazy to me

mary's avatar

Demonic influence is the only explanation for why the people are so blind…..

Janet's avatar

Definitely. Something has taken over these people, especially the women. Could be the jabs too. The Dem women were the most likely to get them all and be afraid of those who didn’t. That plays out in my own family.

Becky's avatar

I read recently that these angry, slavering, Trump-loathing women who spit hate and curses upon conservatives actually have man issues … an ex husband, a father, just any man that they can’t move on from. Trump becomes the target of this unhealed rage, and by default anyone who supports him.

nancy roberts's avatar

AWFL's who need a purpose and sense of belonging. They would sneer at the thought of repenting and giving their lives over to Jesus who actually knows them better than they know themselves. And in spite of that, wants what is truly for their best...more than anyone else. At least He told us only a small remnant would do this. So, this is as good as it gets for them. Pretty dreadful, huh?

Freedom Fox's avatar

About those jabs, and WHO's involved...

Remember, masks were normalized during plandemic. Prior to that the ONLY people you'd see in public wearing masks were either bank robbers or plane hijackers. Because masks are terrorizing - actually deployed as NPI for that very reason, though The Science (TM) (behaviorism) said we needed to experience "Fear Amplification" so we'd be more obedient. Nice euphemism for "terrorize."

But I'd like to share a forgotten piece from the WHO, mid-2020, where they actually told us some truth about masks. And it's apparent that the WHO is trying to distance themselves from their subsequent revised guidance...for now since it's top scientist and behavioral scientist, Jeremy Farrar and Susan Michie still support them...that Jeff rightfully calls them out on. Here's the WHO's official June, 2020 mask guidance:

Advice on the use of masks in the context of COVID-19

World Health Organization, Interim guidance, 5 June 2020

https://apps.who.int/iris/bitstream/handle/10665/332293/WHO-2019-nCov-IPC_Masks-2020.4-eng.pdf?sequence=1&isAllowed=y

(p1) "According to the current evidence, COVID-19 virus is primarily transmitted between people via respiratory droplets and contact routes." [Note: the droplets route of transmission was proven to be false.]

(p.7) "The decision of governments and local jurisdictions whether to recommend or make mandatory the use of masks should be based on the above criteria, and on the local context, culture, availability of masks, resources required, and preferences of the population." [Translation: Before requiring masks you must know your culture, including being a western liberal democracy, with an educated populace with strong constitutional and cultural protections for individual liberty and freedom]

(p7-8) "Potential benefits/advantages

The likely advantages of the use of masks by healthy people in the general public include:

β€’ reduced potential exposure risk from infected persons before they develop symptoms;

β€’ reduced potential stigmatization of individuals wearing masks to prevent infecting others (source control) or of people caring for COVID-19 patients in non-clinical settings;

β€’ making people feel they can play a role in contributing to stopping spread of the virus;

β€’ reminding people to be compliant with other measures (e.g., hand hygiene, not touching nose and mouth). However, this can also have the reverse effect (see below);

β€’ potential social and economic benefits. Amidst the global shortage of surgical masks and PPE, encouraging the public to create their own fabric masks may promote individual enterprise and community integration. Moreover, the production of non-medical masks may offer a source of income for those able to manufacture masks within their communities. Fabric masks can also be a form of cultural expression, encouraging public acceptance of protection measures in general. The safe re-use of fabric masks will also reduce costs and waste and contribute to sustainability."

[Note: Every single "benefit" listed is based in social and behavioral science, not medical science. The power of symbolism and manipulation of perceptions for effect. With the first one listed subsequently disproved when the small droplet route of transmission proved false]

Potential harms/disadvantages

"The likely disadvantages of the use of mask by healthy people in the general public include:

β€’ potential increased risk of self-contamination due to the manipulation of a face mask and subsequently touching eyes with contaminated hands;

β€’ potential self-contamination that can occur if nonmedical masks are not changed when wet or soiled. This can create favourable conditions for microorganism to amplify;

β€’ potential headache and/or breathing difficulties, depending on type of mask used;

β€’ potential development of facial skin lesions, irritant dermatitis or worsening acne, when used frequently for long hours;

β€’ difficulty with communicating clearly;

β€’ potential discomfort;

β€’ a false sense of security, leading to potentially lower adherence to other critical preventive measures such as physical distancing and hand hygiene;

β€’ poor compliance with mask wearing, in particular by young children;

β€’ waste management issues; improper mask disposal leading to increased litter in public places, risk of

contamination to street cleaners and environment hazard;

β€’ difficulty communicating for deaf persons who rely on lip reading;

β€’ disadvantages for or difficulty wearing them, especially for children, developmentally challenged persons, those with mental illness, elderly persons with cognitive impairment, those with asthma or chronic respiratory or breathing problems, those who have had facial trauma or recent oral maxillofacial surgery, and those living in hot and humid environments."

[Note: Every single "potential harm/disadvantage" was been proven true. Real, actual harms, only now, years later acknowledged and addressed by authorities. And yet still being ignored in jurisdictions where mask mandates are still required or have been reinstated.]

"If masks are recommended for the general public, the decision-maker should:

β€’ clearly communicate the purpose of wearing a mask, where, when, how and what type of mask should be worn. Explain what wearing a mask may achieve and what it will not achieve, and communicate clearly that this is one part of a package of measures along with hand hygiene, physical distancing and other measures that are all necessary and all reinforce each other;

β€’ inform/train people on when and how to use masks safely (see mask management and maintenance sections), i.e. put on, wear, remove, clean and dispose;

β€’ consider the feasibility of use, supply/access issues, social and psychological acceptance (of both wearing and not wearing different types of masks in different contexts);

β€’ continue gathering scientific data and evidence on the effectiveness of mask use (including different types and makes as well as other face covers such as scarves) in non-health care settings;

β€’ evaluate the impact (positive, neutral or negative) of using masks in the general population (including behavioral and social sciences)."

[Note: Were any of these WHO recommendations followed where masks were been required? Nope. I only remember hearing, "Just wear the damn mask." demands from Governors (Colorado's Jared Polis), Biden, and other national and local health officials and judges imposing sentences admonishing the disobedient for their "dangerous and selfish exercise of freedom."]

I read an account of a family whose father changed after the jabs. Mentally. They were one of the few families to proceed to have his brain autopsied after death. They found that the blood vessels in his frontal cortex were all dead and gray. There was no blood to them at all. The frontal cortex is responsible for higher cognitive functions such as decision-making, planning, and problem-solving, as well as controlling voluntary movements and speech production. It plays a crucial role in managing behavior and social interactions. I also remember a substack by Naomi Wolf where she addresses this very thing. The lack of human spark...I thought I saved it somewhere but I can't find it.

EDIT:

I found the link in a Substack I wrote in 2022. https://sadiejay.substack.com/p/ho-bots

That's ending and they don't see a way forward for themselves except to demonstrate their anger and hatred as the teet gets shut off. Welfare, Medicade, SNAP, etc etc and NGO funding by gov to keep AWFLs affluent as well as gov public sector Unions (which should not exist at all), all supporting the scourge and tyranny of liberalism.

Willing Spirit's avatar

I think a significant portion of the rioters aren’t even from Minneapolis. They are a satanic Leftist force standing ready for mobilization and are obviously well organized and internationally financed.

*There are the AWFLS and people who are trying to build an identity as a virtuous warrior, who stand ready to take orders and try to make a name for themselves. They are likely deep in perverse sin, like the dead woman with her β€˜wife’, and see this as being virtuous.

*Some likely suffer from Stockholm Syndrome. The whole situation is so terrifying that they feel safety lies in allying with the enemy.

*There are anarchists who truly believe everything should just be burned down and crave chaos and violence . They don’t see beyond destruction to what comes next and are prime candidates for the Leftist Satanic army.

*And the sane ones are just lying low, afraid to speak or be seen.

Push will come to shove. This situation cannot stand. They have declared war on the federal government. Apparently for the authorities to avoid losing the grift and facing incarceration, they believe this is the hill they will die on.

The Imaginary Hobgoblin's avatar

Not a snowball's chance in hell.....with all due respect.😁

The reason the moniker even exists is because of this H.L. Mencken quote: β€œThe whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary.”

To shorten it to simply "Hobgoblin" obliterates the whimsy and thereby siphons it of all its meaning and energy.

I agree. Which is why I it's easy to see why the psychopathic elites have total disdain for the public and see them as the pawns that they are. The scamdemic was easy to see through from the beginning, early 2020. Millions did in fact see the obvious. But those millions were a single-digit percentage. Everyone I know outside my immediate family (just 3 or us) bought it like the fools they are. How do you fix stupid? You can't. Maybe the public can be manipulated into choosing the right sides of issues. I hate it but only propaganda and psyops work on them. Logic and hoping they use their nonexistent powers of observation will never work. Nothing new, history shows it's always been that way.

I agree. I have no sympathy for Pretti, anybody who supported the COVID insanity and flooding the West with migrants is our mortal enemy. That said, I'm appalled that Noem and Stephen Miller claimed Pretti went there with the intention of killing as many agents as possible. That's lying in our face. Claiming that having a sidearm and a couple mags is proof of intent to commit mass murder, as they claimed, means a lot of people I know are bent on mass murder. It's commonly recommended to carry extra ammo, just in case. Plenty of responsible armed citizens do exactly that. Are they that out of touch with their base? Or as dishonest as the scum they replaced? Either way, they showed they can't be trusted.

I don’t think Alex wanted to cause harm. He instead wanted to impede/prevent/obstruct ICE agents from what he sees as β€˜kidnapping’. Unfortunately he brought a concealed firearm to the scene and things went south. It should also be noted that both Alex (and Renee) were on-site due to encrypted Signal chat coordination. Signal chats that disappear/evaporate at the end of each day.

Here is Peggy Flanagan (Lt. Governor of Minnesota) talking about this special β€˜community organizing’ during a town hall last week. Then her on social encouraging her β€˜trained legal observers’ to β€œput their bodies on the line”. Is this borderline Sedition?

https://x.com/GrageDustin/status/2015509112818172078?s=20

SteelJ's avatar

You're right. I save my sympathy for people who aren't pushing for flooding the country with migrants and who didn't support COVID tyranny. But there's no reason to think he intended to shoot agents, as Noem and Stephen Miller claim. I hated to see their blatant lying, which only hurts our side. I see the imperative to beef up ICE and hire more agents. But IMO we shouldn't have pushed so many new agents into situations like this without making sure they were able to handle such a difficult job. Most can't do it, and those who can need a lot more training than they got.

Matt L.'s avatar

It appears that the administration underestimated the amount of organized resistance that would be encountered. Hence the call up of Tom Homan today to work on-site in Minneapolis. The Feds will now infiltrate the encrypted Signal chats. And local resistance community organizers will search out a new platform. These people are playing a kind of spy game. The Minnesota National Guard now handing out snacks to protesters is politicizing that body.

Corrin Strong's avatar

apparently, it is also illegal to carry a gun at a protest under Minnesota regulations

Dave aka Geezermann's avatar

And he was intentionally NOT carrying ID, which is also illegal if carrying a weapon.

Even if it's legal; it's stupid. Lots of things are legal--the standard example being a 23 year old girl in a mini skirt and low cut shirt walking alone on a dark street at 1 in the morning. Swimming in the ocean when there is a one red flag warning. Taking money out of an ATM in the middle of the night in a dicey area...all tegal. All stupid.

DaveL's avatar

The hullaballoo about Pretti having a legal carry permit smells like a talking point intended to confuse the issue. Basically, you don’t approach law enforcement with a firearm, legal or not, concealed or not. Permits are irrelevant.

Well it IS illegal to carry WHILE committing another crime. The minute he resisted arrest (a federal crime) it would have been illegal to possess the firearm. The Power of Christian Virtue:

Elizabeth Nickson reflects on the values and character of her American forefathers and reveals by comparison what character traits America needs to re-discover. I found her reflections to be very worthwhile.

...........................................................................................................................

"The beauty of migration as a weapon was that it twisted the reputation of America as a champion of human rights around the country’s neck, and America would not see the noose until it was too late."- Peter Schweizer

....But the ideas and wealth, the motherlode? The U.S.

...Let’s look at the Anglo-Saxon America. I can speak with a little authority on that since both sides of my family arrived from England, one in 1630 in the Winthrop Fleet, and in 1632 on the Griffin. I am four hundred years American Anglo-Saxon, four hundred years of inter-marrying within the same vast clan, enforcing those values over and over and over again.

My upbringing, in spite of our relative wealth - which compared to today was ordinary middle-class - was severe. As was everyone else’s. If you read the infamous Tiger Mother essay in the Wall Street Journal, about how Amy Chua drove her children relentlessly, well, that was our upbringing, sortof. With a stark difference.

More important than school were manners and ethics. That was the home of ferocity. We experienced a whip-driven, savage, muscular Christianity, replete with constant homilies, lessons, moral stories, and examples of failure. My upbringing, like the thousands of others, tens of thousands in our family system, believed that morality, being β€˜good’, actively good, was the highest good. Success was not the highest good. They knew that the smart would thrive, but the smart had responsibility. Success and wealth were cherished and husbanded as an ethical choice. Success was an imperative because it meant they could and would take care of the less-smart.

Displays of wealth were met with contempt, even revulsion, since it was the mark of weak character. And weak character killed. Weak character was marginalized, pensioned off, cast out so that it couldn’t pollute the clan. Alcoholics were sent away to be forgotten, even their names erased. Crime was unimaginable. Crime meant death.

Why? Why this harshness?

The frontier. This pedagogy was founded in the lessons learned from surviving and prospering on the frontier, which in the northern half of the continent, from New York City north, say. Fierce, because if you made a mistake, if you were lazy, if you cut corners, if you lied and cheated and slacked on the frontier, you died and so did others.

All that has been buried. I don’t know one piece of historical fiction, literary or popular which comes close to the reality of the dominance of a muscular activist Christianity in early America. It was everything. It was central.

And it created the success that is the envy and target of every failed system in the world. It remains the formula for success. It is based, entirely, on virtue...

Agreed! If you look up the acronym, DARVO.

"DARVO is an acronym for Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender, a manipulative tactic used by perpetratorsβ€”especially in abusive relationships or situations of wrongdoingβ€”to avoid accountability. It involves three key stages:

Deny: The perpetrator denies any wrongdoing or minimizes the harm caused.

Attack: They discredit the accuser by attacking their credibility, character, or motives.

Reverse Victim and Offender: They reframe themselves as the victim and portray the true victim as the aggressor, often using past trauma or good deeds to justify their behavior.

This tactic is commonly used by narcissists, abusers, and even institutions to shift blame, confuse victims, and maintain control. Research shows DARVO is effective in reducing observers' belief in victims and increasing self-blame among survivors. It was first coined by psychologist Jennifer Freyd in 1997 and is closely linked to gaslighting and emotional abuse." AI generated response

Don’t listen to weak squish republicans like Lisa Murkowski and media supporters of illegal immigration. ICE is not doing harm to the people of Minnesota, the fraudsters and organizers of these riots are doing harm to ICE.

The guy shot and killed on Saturday was armed with no ID on him (sure it’s not illegal to be without an ID)… but he was also aggressively threatening law enforcement agents and impeding their arrests of criminals. The idea that he had a cc permit is irrelevant in the moment, as he was not acting in a law abiding fashion, and had no identification. All this hyper analyzing of footage is also irrelevant. If a law enforcement agent feels his/her life is threatened, he has the right to use deadly force to stop the threat. This is all being perpetrated on law enforcement and encouraged by the corrupt government officials and agitators.

Happy Monday. Outside of Boston seems we got over 20 inches of snow. Here’s a message to warm you up!

No one is perfect, I’d be the first to admit that. And no relationship is perfect either, that’s for certain. We can only do our best to make things as good as they can be. Simple easy positive actions we take can sometimes change things in a positive way. In today’s world, where it’s hard to find something good, we should look for ways to do good for the people around us.

The Note!

A couple of Sundays ago I had mentioned a simple note I wrote complimenting my wife about just some of the wonderful things she does and has done for me and my siblings over many years. I folded the note tight and slipped it into her pocketbook. Almost 2 weeks went by with no sign of her finding the note, it had actually escaped my mind. I took our 2 labs out for a walk and when I got back my wife called me over and with a big smile gave me a kiss and thanked me, a smile like I’ve never seen, she had found the note. She was on her way food shopping and I was parked in front of her which normally would result in β€œmaybe” a snide remark but that day there was patience. The patience has gone beyond being parked in front of her, that simple note, at least for now, helped her to re-see the bond I have too her. It let her know in writing my appreciation for her.

I asked if I could read the note, I didn’t remember exactly what I had written and she said no it’s my note 😊.

A week now has gone by. My wife had worked her shifts at the hospital. Let me say 40 years in an OR my wife has learned to stay out of the office. Many of the staff are in there nearly every day complaining about something or someone. My wife always tries to go directly to the problem and handle it, although I know, as well as she can hide it, I’ve been around a long time, on the inside, she can get hurt.

There was one day one of her many bosses, a guy that is very insecure, had been scolded by the charge nurse earlier that day. When my wife saw him he took his anger out on her with a mean comment, knowing my wife that’s a big mistake. Though this situation is ongoing my wife told me the first thing she thought about was the note I wrote her! What a feeling of trying to do something good and it being successful came over me.

She has kept that note in her pocketbook and has asked if I could write more notes to her, which I will.

Just a piece of advice to you, try this. Send a note to someone you know, someone you think may need it, someone who helped you along the way, someone you want to pick up.

Here’s a short story I think you’ll like;

There was a junior high teacher, who one day saw that her students were very rowdy, they didn’t seem to be interested in learning. The teacher herself was tired and didn’t feel like pushing through it. She told her students to put their books away, take out a clean sheet of paper. Their assignments that day was to write down every students name on the left and then write one good thing they liked about that student.

The students went to work, looking around the room thinking what they liked about each other.

Over the weekend the teacher took the time to write the students name at the top and then she listed all the comments that were written about that individual student. The next Monday she handed the sheets of paper to the appropriate students and they began to read all these comments that were written about them.

The room was just buzzing with electricity. As those students read the comments you could hear the students saying wow I didn’t know they liked me that much, I didn’t know I was good at that, I didn’t know they thought I was beautiful. On and on, those students were on cloud nine. They left that day with more confidence, more self esteem, feeling better about themselves.

Well years later one of the students was killed while serving in Vietnam. Not only the teacher but many of the students attended the funeral. After the service the father of the soldier went up to the teacher and said I want to show you what my son was carrying when he was killed. It’s something he kept in his wallet. He took out this paper and began to unfold it, the teacher realized it was the note that she had copied with all the encouraging comments from her students. The father told how his son treasured that piece of paper. Well when the other students overheard it they began to tell the same story. One man said he keeps his paper in the top drawer at the office. One lady said she put hers in her wedding album next to her wedding pictures. Another man right then and there took out his wallet and he unfolded his as if it was his prize possession.

The teacher was overwhelmed, little did she realize what a lasting impact that little impromptu assignment would have that day.

The message shows everyone needs to be blessed, everyone needs to feel valued, we long for that affirmation.

The idea is we shouldn’t withhold our blessing. Be free with your compliments. Look for people you can build up. Tell them what you like about them. How much you appreciate them. It takes so little effort but it makes such a huge deposit. These are treasures people will carry with them.

Flatter me and I may not believe you.

Criticize me and I may not like you.

But encourage me and I’ll never forget you.

Simple words can make such a difference.

Happy Sunday

Becky's avatar

I had a teacher in my first year of community college who did that! I kept the list of affirmations (about 30, the number in the class) for years. We generally do not have a clue how we appear to others. All the observations were positive. That list changed my life. When I heard that teacher was moving out of the area, I wrote him a letter thanking him for the profound difference he made in my life. I gave it to my parents, who went to the same gym as the teacher. They gave him the letter and watched as he read it. He broke into a huge smile. His one act in class that day came back as an affirmation for him. Big life lesson. And ironically, the class he taught was Business Law. I don’t remember one thing about that subject! 🀣

Unpopular opinion: I don’t think these ICE agents are being hard enough. They should be arresting, pepper spraying, and water cannoning everybody who touches them or one of their vehicles, and everybody who is doing ANYTHING more than just standing there with a sign and chanting some stupid rhyming phrase. The first amendment ONLY gives you the right to express your opinions through PEACEFUL protest. What they’re doing in MN is not protesting and it’s against the law. They are assaulting officers, vandalizing property, harassing other citizens, impeding the ability for others to move about freely, and obstructing investigations and arrests. All are crimes. Mental illness and entitlement syndrome are RAMPANT. They think they can do whatever they want and get away with it with no repercussions thanks to soft parenting and the media egging them on. I just saw a reporter say that β€œprotestors” should carry guns to protect themselves against ICE. While that’s fully within their right, she should have also said, β€œbut if you pull your handgun out of the holster or raise your rifle toward them, you will die because they are trained to protect themselves in self-defense, which is fully within their right.” The longer you let this go on and the more you let them get away with, the worse it’s going to get.

Mark1's avatar

In that freezing environment, a water cannon would be most effective.

Johnny-O's avatar

I must say it is disturbing to hear so many on the right making comments like this. Protesting and free speech is LEGAL, whether or not you agree with it. Just wait until you protest the next covid or whatever government tyranny which you think is a just cause and they turn the water cannons on you - get it?

Mark1's avatar

Johnny, Johnny, Oh, Johnny….if I knowingly drive my car into an active law enforcement operation with the intent to impede that operation, or if I take my loaded handgun with me when there’s even the slightest chance that I might physically β€œinteract” with law enforcement officers, if I’m that STUPID, then a water cannon would be getting off easy. Get it?

Johnny-O's avatar

Did I comment on their intelligence? No. What they did was legal. Protesting and carrying weapons is LEGAL. When you begin to target large groups of people with water cannons - the vast majority of whom are doing nothing wrong (it isn't wrong just because you disagree with them) - that is illegal. Protesting is legal. Period.

Mark1's avatar

Johnny, I’ll agree with you that β€œProtesting is legal”. I’ll even up that to β€œIt’s a Constitutional Right”. But where I’ll have to disagree is that just because something is legal or a right, it doesn’t logically flow that anything done while protesting is legal. For example, impeding law enforcement is illegal, and not following law enforcement officers’ commands is illegal. You might not agree, but that’s the rules we live under. So knock yourself out protesting. Maybe even call law enforcement Fascists (free speech!), but don’t be STUPID, and do it from a safe distance. And DON’T BREAK THE LAW. It’s really pretty simple.

Johnny-O's avatar

I agree, don't be stupid, don't break the law. Too many here seem to think that all the protesters need to be dealt with severely. That is nonsense, and its also nonsense to think that all the protesters are paid agitators. There are 10s of thousands protesting - much of it is organic and the vast majority aren't doing anything wrong. And then of course, there is the issue of agent provocateurs, which the state has used time and time again.....

πŸ”¦Editor’s Spotlight

I am concerned. Concerned that many of us are regressing back to the depths of Covid polarity. Perhaps even further. We are shown a grey picture and half who view it are convinced it is black, the other half convinced it is white. There is no nuance, no trying to understand the other side, just that if you see the picture differently to me then you are a β€˜Gestapo Nazi’ or a β€˜liberal retard.’ If you try to look at things objectively then you get called both names.

Covid was a horrible time. I had hoped those days had passed. I had hoped that the people vilified for their stances on masks, lockdowns and vaccine mandates would think that they would never allow themselves to be that person in reverse. I had hoped that the β€˜critical thinkers’ were able to see ALL things objectively. But it turns out many of those people were just following the crowd on the other side - merely opposed to things that their team was against.

And so it comes to ICE and the tragic deaths that keep and will keep on happening.

If you truly are a critical thinker - and by God we need those more than ever right now - you are able to hold multiple views without being contradictory.

You can think that mass immigration doesn’t benefit your country and that illegal immigrants should be deported whilst simultaneously condemning how ICE do things.

You can support ICE and simultaneously think that they are being inadequately trained to deal with aggressive and provocative agitators. Or that they shouldn’t be masked up, anonymous and militarised.

You can hate what ICE is doing but also see that hard-left agitators are jumping on the bandwagon to worsen situations.

If you were anti guns before, you don’t have to suddenly think that protesting with a gun is fine - just because the protests are against ICE. If you were pro guns previously, you don’t have to U-turn and think that because Alex Pretti had one, he signed his own death warrant.

You may support ICE but you should still champion people’s right to protest them (legally). Obviously, anybody planning on taking it one step further and attacking officers should be adequately dealt with but if you support the removal of legal protest then next time it will be yours that is stopped. It will be an anti-lockdowner that will be shot.

We are in classic Problem-Reaction-Solution territory and the solution will soon be revealed.

A part of the machine is trying to ignite small civil wars throughout the US. I’m still trying to work out for what purpose but it is clear that ideological forces on both sides are deliberately trying to make people angry and hate each other. Perhaps this is to try and destroy Trump in the mid-terms. Maybe that’s why he has refused to comment this time - he can see that factions within his own administration are working against him. But perhaps trouble is being provoked for an even more sinister reason.

Partisan Americans are being goaded into a trap. Stay nuanced, stay critical and objectively analyse everything. It is more important than ever before...

Alan Devincentis's avatar

Is it possible that some things cant be passed off as β€œ two sides to every story, bruh!” In dealing with immigration enforcement, there’s one side. The federal law says illegal immigration is a crime, and there’s a way to answer it. Ice. It’s right in their name. If you disagree that it’s a crime, you’re just wrong. There’s no fucking nuance. It’s a crime! If you disagree with it, get tte law changed. Until then, stand aside and watch it being enforced with your stupid sign. The minute you blow a whistle in a Leo’s face while hes doing his job, you are interfering injustice. Whether you like it or not. Why is this a problem for you.

Alan Devincentis's avatar

Did you ever read the first amendment. Does it say anything in there about throwing frozen water bottles at authorities? Any at all? I know it does mention peaceful protest. I pretty sure that means standing aside and whining. Getting involved physically is obstruction of justice. Why the fuck does this need to be explained to you?

Absolutely agree. Some children need tough love.

Juju's avatar

I agree but what little they have HAD to react to is being used against them as proof that they are harassing innocent US citizens. All taken out of context. What a rock and a hard place to decide whether or not to do more knowing it will ALL be used as proof to the milktoast among us on the fence that ICE β€œneeds a different approach.” I’m hearing this a LOT yesterday suddenly by otherwise sane people. It’s so unfair to ICE.

Guy Montag, E-451's avatar

"They think they can do whatever they want and get away with it with no repercussions ... The longer you let this go on and the more you let them get away with, the worse it’s going to get."

. . .

The same could be said for masked brown-shirt ICE officers killing citizens (at best, "bad shoots") with impunity; no faces, no names, no independent investigations of their shootings. Is that the sort of country we really want to live in?

On an island's avatar

β€œMasked” because they are tracked, hunted, doxxed, and constantly under threat by people who hate this country.

They’re not β€œkilling citizens”. Two people interfering with lawful operations got themselves shot.

It’s super easy! Don’t try to run over law enforcement with your car, and don’t go to a totally not peaceful riot with a loaded gun plus spare ammo πŸ€ͺ

Willing Spirit's avatar

Some judge blocked their use of nonviolent deterrents a few days ago. Legally, I don’t know where that stands right now. But the rioters have a non justice justice system at their backs.

Johnny-O's avatar

And you just wait until those very same tactics against you when you are protesting what you think is a just cause. Why don't people realize this or understand this?

Willing Spirit's avatar

Just when was the last time that you saw a hoard of crazies from the Right out rioting and burning and violently resisting law enforcement? That only happens on one side; your side. So of course you want to protect them.

Johnny-O's avatar

Susan Seas's avatar

Those whistles … seriously…

NoVA mom's avatar

They are making themselves deaf too…..

Navyo Ericsen's avatar

Could you write that again?

Help Needed in KS's avatar

Oh... I see what you did there...

Susan Seas's avatar

Well, that might help me feel a little bit better about them πŸ˜‚ but I’m sure they’ll sue the government because they went deaf because of them. πŸ™„

I heard that noise and I thought no way would that not be irritating the senses and also putting you on higher alert. I wouldn’t want to miss an important noise. Takes away one of the senses you rely on for information. The rioters know what they’re doing and I stand 100% behind Ice. Do what you gotta do to get home to your family. β€οΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Linda Whitney's avatar

Absolutely, Dr. Linda.

And speaking of noise, some have mentioned that the Sig 320 has a notorious hair trigger problem and may have gone off accidentally when the agent who disarmed Pretti turned around. That sound made the other men panic thinking Pretti had fired. Hence the overcharged lethal response.

When you set up situations for tragedy, tragedy is what you get. Those who feel compelled to throw themselves into the caldron should at least consider the prospect of being cooked.

Juju's avatar

Right? The loud whistles and blaring screams through megaphones and honking and banging … they can’t possibly hear what the other officers might be saying. But the left will argue β€œwell they are trained for that, or supposed to be. If they can’t handle it then they shouldn’t be there.” B.S. They are trained yes, but you canNOT train to perfection the ability to hear above all that noise without inhuman, bionic ears. They KNOW this. They WANT this. They have their arguments ready when their antics tick us off. Evil and manipulative.

Regarding the Texas car registration rule, it’s not accurate to say it requires β€œproof of citizenship,” just legal status in the US:

β€œUnder the proposed rules, anyone registering a vehicle would be required to present an unexpired REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or identification card; an unexpired U.S. passport or a foreign passport with a valid immigrant visa or permanent resident card; or a current Texas handgun license.”

(Only in Texas would a handgun license constitute such proof…)

So this doesn’t prevent non-citizen green card holders (LEGAL immigrants) from buying a car. Which is good.

JBell's avatar

Right.... as these people are more likely to purchase auto insurance, as well....... not the illegal ones!

About Dallas auto dealer Octavio Vasquez saying β€œWe don’t care if they carry papers. That’s none of my business"...

...wanna bet that she required customers wear masks and didn't say that was none of her business?

That is not a person to whom ANY credibility about ANYTHING can be assigned. Guar-an-damn-tee you she didn't object or say squat about requiring those type of papers. She can take her sanctimony and shove it up her taquita hole.

I am getting no pushback when I query friends about Immigration. Just say this: "Gee, I'm not an expert or anything, but it seems that all of the conflict would end very quickly if MN officials would simply cooperate with immigration enforcement. Why do you suppose they're encouraging people to fight and die on this particular hill? Kinda makes you wonder, in light of the reports of billions in fraud schemes."

wily_coyote-genius's avatar

I watched this video this morning of former president Bill Clinton speak about illegal immigrants. It should be shown during commercial breaks during the Super Bowl to remind people, it's not just Trump who are concerned about this problem.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IrDrBs13oA

John Galt?'s avatar

Yes, and Obama, Schumer, and may others. But the destruction of USAID, the potential destruction of Act Blue, and the unfolding fraud investigations mark an extinction-level event for the Democrats. They're fighting for their very existence.

WP William's avatar

it's almost as if Sanctuary Laws are designed and allowed to exist for 30-40 years so that criminal political grifting could occur. CONGRESS makes Immigration Law, NOT States, cities, counties, HOAs. All the subversive, contra-Constitutional "policies" for enabling, attracting, enriching organizations and individuals via illegal Immigration is itself illegal and criminal. Can I, as HOA president make my own Immigration policies to attract more illegal residents to migrate to my neighborhood??? Congress Sucks

John Galt?'s avatar

Not "almost". This is demographic engineering. Even if they never become citizens, they count toward the census, robbing collar counties of Republican representation in state and national government. It's all of the above, as the illegals will eventually vote too, legally or otherwise. They're playing a long game

Sue Kelley's avatar

That's rich since 10 minutes ago everyone was an expert on immigration law covid vaccines, tariffs the economy and the food pyramid

I wonder how it would go if state officials simply said: "You want to deport the worst, so we'll cooperate in removing criminals (other than status crimes), if you calm down and let our people, including those without legal status, peacefully live and work."

John Galt?'s avatar

Yes, well, that would betray the real motive, since they do not want to deport anyone whatsoever. The globalist left is at war with the US, and the front lines are in MN. So far they have succeeded in telling their story, but all that changes once the corruption becomes undeniable.

VelvetStitching's avatar

Though that sounds right - it isn't. Those who do not have legal status are by definition breaking the law!

John Galt?'s avatar

Yep. And they are driving up costs, with more people (and money) competing for the same housing, cars, jobs, education, groceries, and other consumer goods

I think this is the ultimate goal of the Democrats. Think about it. The worst are but a fraction of their imported voters. Why are they fighting the removal of the worst of the worst? Because if they make it this hard and this painful to get the most evil deported, nobody will want to fight them for the rest. Their main voter block that aren’t violent will get to remain. Makes me furious.

I want them ALL gone

Abiding Dude's avatar

"without legal status"... grow a pair, wimp, and call a spade a spade... they are ILLEGALS and are cancerous parasites on this nation...

Ban ALL benefits of ANY kind to ILLEGALS and then we can talk.

Simply end federal funding to Minneapolis

And include the photo of Obama giving Tom Homan some award when Obama was Pres!

Is it possible for the federal government to end all grants and payments to Minnesota and Minnesota-based NGOs and organizations? Seems like a good first step to ending the foolishness.

Good Monday Morning everyone!

Thank you Mr Childers for another amazing post!

Have you prayed for your country yet today?

Words Beyond Me-Janice Powell's avatar

I commented on Donald Trump’s post about sending Homan to MN: β€œMay evil be thwarted and lawfulness restored, in Jesus’ name.” Someone responded that he was pretty sure Jesus wants nothing to do with this, that it is the work of the Antichrist. The blindness is astounding.

Susan Seas's avatar

Someone, who proclaimed to be a Christian, told me that God doesn’t care who the president is. I said really? The creator of all who sets up Kings and disposes them? He doesn’t care who is president? Interesting.

mary's avatar

You’re correct. God appoints the Kings and He has even used bad ones to accomplish His will. I don’t believe Trump is bad. He’s human but I believe he is the one who might keep our country afloat a little longer. I’m asking God to bless the midterms because if the Rs…. Also very flawed…. Lose, America is finished.

Using Jesus is blasphemy for political gain. What would he say about killing children in Gaza?

Lynne Morris's avatar

That it is horrific, as was the 10/7 massacre that preceded it and the embedding of armed militants into the Gazan civilian population that caused it.

kittynana's avatar

@Bard- I feel the same way when an NFL player makes a touchdown then points to the sky. Would he involve God in his life if he weren't a player?

kittynana's avatar

@Janice- God gave us free will. He doesn't get involved with everything.

kittynana's avatar

@Mary- He oversees but lets us sort things out. Sometimes there's Divine intervention.
