“If I were to speak with eloquence in earth’s many languages, and in the heavenly tongues of angels, yet I didn’t express myself with love, my words would be reduced to the hollow sound of nothing more than a clanging cymbal.”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭1‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Someone read this verse to Jack Smith.

For that matter, someone please ship Jack Smith a Bible. One of those giant-print, easy-to-read Bibles. Mr. Smith needs help and guidance to find his way out of his inner darkness.

Maybe send the audiobook, too, so he can listen and read along.

It needs to be heard out loud.

Love your suggestion!

He wouldn't read it. It's easily available and easily read but he's far too ignorant.

You are wrong. People like Smith are self-consciously committed to our enslavement and serve only the Master of Lies.

Charity: One wonders how many weddings would include a reading from first Corinthians 13 if the word 'charity' were used instead of 'love' as did the KJV, AKJV, Websters, Douay-Reims, CPDV, and Worsley. My contention is that Charity (in the original sense of the word) is a much better representation of the Greek 'ἀγάπη.' Perhaps the word should have simply been transliterated as 'Agape' as most are familiar with it at least.

Love is too open-ended. Definitions abound. Each person seems to have a different understanding of it. C.S. Lewis wrote a book about four of the meanings and even though the book was only from the last century, it is already out-of-date. The spirit of the age now tells us that "Love is Love" whatever that means.

Agape though.... that is set apart, holy if you will.

Agape is sacrificial love in action.

Unselfish.

Hard to do, but that's what we have been called to do.

I finally understand this verse. If our hearts aren’t open, our thoughts can’t go up to the higher chakras.

This means that all of our thoughts, and so our words, and deeds, will only come from the lower-survival chakras.

The heart, when unwound, is literally a torus, funneling energy up into our higher self.

It’s a stairway to heaven ❤️

This is what gives charisma(Christ energy) to someone’s voice.

A nasal voice is irritating because it doesn’t circulate up through the heart.

Sorry, but chakras your 'higher self' aren't a thing. This is new age deception. Believe on the historical risen Jesus Christ and be saved from your sins.

I was just using the New Age language to describe what I believe is happening. It's not a broken heart--but a closed heart that causes grief. We take in light from the Father through our subtle bodies and which feeds into our physical bodies at certain points.

When we experience grief, we shut down access to the light that comes into the heart center. We can't take in the love that comes from our Heavenly Father which feeds our soul.

Jesus of Nazareth is enough for all of us! He is the only one who died for our sins so we don’t get condemned for eternity! His blood is the ransom price He paid for us! No sacrifice from us can come close to be enough to save ourselves!

Colossians 2:8 See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, and not according to Christ. 9 For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells bodily, 10 and in Him you have been filled, who is the head over all rule and authority; ....12 having been buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also raised up with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. 13 And you being dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive with Him, having graciously forgiven us all our transgressions. 14 Having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us which was hostile to us, He also has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15 Having [g]disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them in [h]Him.

HeartMath, Reconnective Healing, Gary Schwartz's work, etc. Science, not the Scienceᵀᴹ.

Hang in there. Each is on his/her own path. The profound esotericism of the Bible as an instruction manual - not to mention a translation of a translation of a heavily edited text - comes with one's evolution. One rung at a time for everyone. All's well.

I think you may be perceiving something truthful, but "as though in a dark mirror". One doesn't need to be so esoteric to understand the Bible... it says plainly that "Love for God and Love for Neighbor sum up the entire Law". Even the most practically-minded of people can understand that.
