I think some one should verify whether lockdown nostalgia is real or a promoted psy op designed to get folks over their outrage and desire to seek retribution.

Other then some anxious types who probably really have it, I think it is more likely a PsyOp, esp if the idea showed up in multiple publications at the same time. It might be to also prime for the next time they attempt it. On the other hand, I'd imagine someone who didn't do much socially in the first place, who also didn't have financial issues in 2020, probably would look back on it fondly in some regards.
Yup I know people like that too and they claim THEY’RE the “caring” ones 🙄🙄🙄 When I told one former friend that her idea of locking down more stringently was bound to have negative consequences for a lot of people, she got very angry at me 🙄 She and her husband were “essential workers” in the medical field who made a lot of money and barely had any negative effect on income from the lockdowns. It was supposedly all about keeping others safe but in all actuality, she was terrified and just wanted to minimize the risk to herself—even though she kept claiming it was to protect everyone else 🙄
We went to the symphony last night in Tulsa. At intermission, there were two couples near us who were talking and all four had these ridiculous looking "bird-beak" masks on.
Ugh 😑 I can’t stand seeing that. I just roll my eyes and make comments under my breath (or sometimes slightly louder), can’t help myself, it’s just so ridiculous!
Pittsburgh VA hospital still requires masks...or entry and medical care is denied.
How is this humane?
Plexiglas still up at the VA hospital because the VA think germs cannot float above the top of the Plexiglas...because "science."
Every other chair is still marked off preventing veterans from talking to each other...because "science."
My last PCP appointment the nurse asked me if my oxygen level is always so low at 93. Well, those idiots were forcing me to wear a mask. Wearing a mask raises my anxiety level and I can feel my breathing becoming more shallow as the inside of mask becomes soaking wet. I had lung surgery while on active duty and have residual pulmonary problems. Diagnosed with asthma after retirement.
There are a lot of people suffering in silence I bet. The last 3 years have been like being in an abusive relationship with our government and medical system. So many people I know are tired...and exhausted...from the draconian measures taken to "flatten the curve" and force people to take the deadly covid shot.
I don't have any other insurance like most of the veterans I know.
Lots of vets may have lost their job and therefore their health insurance.
But what good would it do to just walk away from a less than perfect situation? I prefer to fight the system. I will complain. Contact my Senator. File complaints on the VA website. Make sure there is a paper trail to document inequities in the current system.
It is my responsibility to fight for other veterans who may not have the energy to fight because of PTSD, Military Sexual Trauma (MST), depression, and anxiety.
Back in March 2023, I contacted Senator Casey (PA) because I was concerned that one of my blood pressure medications provided by the VA were manufactured in China. I felt that giving a veteran a drug that is manufactured in communist China is not very smart.
This is part of the response I received from Senator Casey's office on 27 March 2023.
"Thank you for taking the time to contact me about medicines manufactured in China. I appreciate hearing from you. I have forwarded your correspondence along to my staff that handles healthcare and national security issues, and they will be looking into your concern on my behalf."
Unfortunately, I have not received any updates from Senator Casey's office.
2020 was a time when insanity and stupidity reigned supreme throughout the land! It was maddening, but I'll say there was one aspect I really miss:
The traffic! Or lack thereof. As an "essential" employee living in a normally-gridlocked major city, my commute didn't change except that for a good year or so I never drove below the speed limit on freeways that normally are stop and go. It was glorious! I knew it was a sign of major societal dysfunction, but I couldn't help loving it. I miss it every day.
Lockdown Nostalgia!! The moment I saw the repeated idea across multiple media, I thought, global agenda!!
What agenda? "15 Minute Cities" a climate change initiative that Is gaining increasing support across England, France and other countries!
Where is the pushback? It starts at the local, local, local level. It is at the local government level where this is implemented and therefore, needs to be solidly opposed BEFORE any local elected representative even thinks about it..
The lockdown removed all personal responsibility from those locked indoors. “I wish I could ________ but the lockdown says I can’t.” (Exercise, go to church, go to school, go to work, help another, visit family, fill in the blank) 2020 was a continuous feeling of impending doom—without stacks of bodybags and over-flowing hospitals. The Puppetteers (see Gov JB Pritzker) loved the control and fear grip they held on us. Never, never again.
I could see lockdowns being appealing to people who are addicted to drama. BUT, the fact that it was exposed as one big abuse of power makes it so wrong.

PsyOp - definitely.
The people who are waxing nostalgic about lockdowns just don’t want to put on a bra or brush their teeth. Like- you know- adults...

Galls me.

So many people were like that--"oh, how convenient! I can cover my fear up by looking as I'm really concerned about you." Masky types especially.
Sorry but I am glad she is a former friend.
Yes me too, tbh. It really showed her true nature.
Or to prep them for another lockdown.
It's not over.
No it's NOT! So many people think things are better because lockdowns and masks are not currently required. It's not over.

Yes I bet you’re right.
When you join the military, in the back of your mind you realize that at some point you might have to die protecting and defending the Constitution.
You just don't think you will have to die, while getting or not getting, medical care at the VA.

Thanks for the kind words.
Shivers, but yes climate lockdowns
That's what I say!

I agree, that’s the only good thing about it. My husband also liked the flights where he had most of the plane to himself 😆
The climate freaks are still ecstatic about the reduced emissions in our atmospheres thanks to no traffic during the lockdown.
I know some thoroughly brainwashed friends and relatives who yearn for the “safety” of lockdowns.
Blech 🤮

Or Prepare us for future lockdowns!! Predictive Programming!
