Iran shoots down an F-15E. Vance becomes Fraud Czar. 221 fake hospices gone in 10 weeks. Maine panics. NYT can't spell NATO. Trump's Easter message silences the critics. More.
Hospice fraud is the lowest of the low. Someone who willfully sets out to scam the dying and their families, even if it’s by absconding with funds set aside for actual hospice… that is evil beyond belief.
I hope those people get their just recompense; meaning the severest punishment available so they have a long time to think about their horrible behavior.
I read yesterday that the hospices already audited demonstrated a 97% survival rate for their clients which, as we know, is highly unusual for agencies working with terminal patients. My guess is, many of these agencies are set up and then, as they did with the autism treatment centers, enroll their fellow minorities as patients and bill out for services never rendered (i.e. nursing visits, medications, comfort care, respite care, etc...).
I do not doubt massive fraud is happening all over the US, but just a note of caution.
My father had Alzheimer’s for ten years and was cared for at home by his wonderful wife. He was 98 years old and had an awful episode that required sedation and care and the visiting health professionals thought he should go into their hospice facility, either temporarily or to see if this was his time. While there it was determined end was near. He was no longer standing or walking or communicating.
He was a strong willed man, and he was hanging in there when hospice said if he didn’t pass soon she would have to take him back home or put him in a nursing home. Both of those were devastating decisions. Hospital beds, bed pans etc. and the available nursing home options were depressingly not great ones. It was a horrific couple of weeks that I will never forget. They basically withheld food and water so he would pass quicker and she would not have to move him. Horrible!
They repeatedly said he had been there ‘too long for Medicare’ to keep him any longer, though I don’t recall it being more than a couple of weeks.
I hope and pray this kind of backlash/unintended consequences will not be the result of cracking down on these despicable fraudsters!
BTW, this was in Illinois- one of the most corrupt states out there!
My daughter is a hospice doctor. I hope eliminating the fraud will allow for funds to help the situation you talk of. I watched my aunt deal with the same situation you talk about, Horrible.
This is a horrible story that I fear is not uncommon. I am so sorry that you had to experience this cruelty and even more sorry for your father. I always picture Hospice workers as kind and compassionate but maybe that's not always the case. We have learned so much, beginning with Covid. What was meant for evil has been turned around like a spotlight to expose so much corruption.
It is concerning to think that people who actually NEED hospice would not have it. The few I have known had in home care, till death, with all comforts given that were desired.. maybe they had more money or influence, idk. This WAS in California…but, was a “lifesaver “ for the families….
One used to qualify for hospice only for the last 6 months of life. People are now using hospice to get free in home care they can't afford to pay for- And using hospice for years.
Even longer ago than that. My aunt’s nursing home (in Texas) encouraged us to place her on hospice 5 or 6 years ago. We were stunned, thinking they were saying they expected her to pass soon, but they assured us that, no, hospice wasn’t just for one’s deathbed. It would give her extra caretakers for bathing and other personal care, and a chaplain to come by and pray or visit with her (and in her angry/crazy dementia she just yelled at him to get out). After a year or more, they kicked her off of hospice because they said she wasn’t dying, but then about a year after that, the nursing home scolded us for NOT having her on hospice for the extra care, even though she “wasn’t dying”. 🙄 She did pass away a couple of years ago. In reality, we’re all “dying” at some rate, so what a great racket to be in!
One of the tricks to sign up elderly and ill individuals is they tell them it doesn’t really mean they’re dying. This despite the fact that they have to have a doctor’s order stating they are terminal with 6 months or less to survive. Hospices send out MARKETERS to sign up people! Has this changed? (I’ve been out of the business for a decade)
04/04/26: Actually, the average CA hospice survival rate has been 1,939%. And now, without further ado, we will now all work for Uncle Sam until October 1st of each year so that the United States of Somalia (Minnesota, Maine and California) can continue to live in the style in which it has become accustomed to.
Obviously C&C has missed the point: If you're terminally ill, you must immediately enroll in Demofraud Hospice Care, as you'll almost certainly recover to live long and—if you run for office—prosper!
04/04/26: When Pelosi finally retires, she be listed as an attendee at a CA hospice for the next 900 years. In fact, I'll bet that Feinstein (emphatically deceased) is on the books as well.
Agreed. And I really hope the auditing process is sound so legitimate agencies don't get caught up in the wave. Hospice care, when delivered well, is priceless.
Unfortunately, I think it’s rarely delivered well.
We did not have a good experience with hospice when my mom was dying. After her stroke, she was in a small adult foster care home that presented itself so well until you were inside to see what was really going on. They imported Jamaican caregivers who had zero experience dealing with dementia patients, they fed them, bagged, frozen food, and had very restrictive visiting hours. She always had mysterious” injuries” and the hospice doctor only knew how to administer drugs to hasten their demise. Just awful 😞
So sorry that happened to you and your mom! My sister didnt have a good experience with hospice when our Dad was dying, either. Apparently, they strapped him into an adult-size highchair and made him sit in there in his final days. He didnt have dementia, he was out of his mind with the over-prescribed doses of morphine they were giving him. He sat in that damn highchair, begging my sister to get him out of it. She couldnt help, though. All she could do was sit there and cry with him. She wasnt in charge of his care: his wife was. And his wife 100% believes in doctors and their b.s. Anyway, hospice is supposedly so wonderful, but that's not been our experience, either.
My mother had a very good one in Hendersonville, NC, but it helps when you have a community where most of the people are truly decent and kind. These are the people they targeted in the flood.
We were so thankful to be able to have my dad at home in hospice care. It was terribly hard on my mom and I, but we would’ve had it no other way. Luckily he was not in any type of pain. No one could understand why not. So we did not have to drug him up and we refused all the morphine they pushed on him.
That's awful and not what I would call well-delivered. My only experience with hospice care has been with the local homes in my area - usually connected to a church, but not always - which have maybe 3-4 residents in house with around the clock, trained volunteers. Families can visit at any time of the day, the houses themselves are lovely and well-maintained (again, all through volunteers) and the staff are outstanding.
I amending my statement to add that I think there is a wide range of models in hospice too. In NYS a person can receive hospice services in their own home, in a hospice-specific residence, in a nursing home and even in the hospital (life expectancy determines the extent of services available). The delivery of these services varies widely in the settings above. My FIL received "hospice" in the nursing home. It was not great. Not the worst, but certainly not what most people think of when they hear "hospice care." My mom received in-home hospice which was okay. But in-home services still requires family to bear the brunt of care. The best situation are the residences where, in my experience, the care is comprehensive. However, there are only so many of these homes available.
My sister received in home hospice. They were very good. Sad, though, the hospice nurse was tasked in telling my sister that she would receive no further cancer treatment. My sister was under the impression that she would after a period of home care to recover strength be able to continue. I was there that day. She was very shocked. She was mobile and we had a lovely talk and hug when I left. The next day she was unconscious and died 5 days later. .
My best friend’s husband is in hospice at home. They are really good to him and he has rallied a bit. I think better pain management has been key for him. He’s taking methadone not morphine though that is available too. Pt is coming out and he’s even still in their bedroom upstairs and managing the stairs pretty well.
I’ve always heard our town has great hospice. He met with the palliative care doc first. She was great. Stupid cancer doc was worthless, I’m sure he’s pissed he’s loosing an income stream, er patient.
That’s horrible. The place dad was in had pretty good care, except the food was canned a lot of the time and full of carbs. When he was busting out of the place (escaping to home) we discovered they hadn’t done his laundry in a week or more, and he hadn’t had a bath very recently either. Three weeks later after he passed I called one of the good nurses and told her to please also tell Marie that he had passed. She said she and Marie both quit right after dad left.
I had wanted to hire Marie part time for dad but couldn’t find her.
Note: he was not on hospice. Just expensive nursing care in a small home-like setting.
They got so comfortable with their massive theft, they made it easy and they are now caught... and I believe it will have profound implications in every aspect of saving the country going forward.
My 94 year old mother-in-law is currently in hospice care in her own house which is on our property. The care so far has been excellent with the exception of the "social workers" that come as they are looking for problems and may try to create them based on their attitudes. One thing in all of this is that her provider is our daughter who is a Nurse Practitioner working in the home health care and hospice group for a local health care system. The overseeing doctor and the nurse are some of the most outstanding health care providers I have met.
As to nursing homes, this is Texas and the nursing homes here are not seen as the best or even marginally good. We are hoping that we do not have to place my m-i-l in one of those institutions.
Last fall after my barely 93 yr old dad went to the hospital a few times, mom arranged for him to go to a small private nursing home for $9000 a month!! Yikes.
He was supposed to have pt and wellness checks provided by a medicare company called Assured Home Health. They showed up twice in the 6 weeks that he was there. I called often, the facility called too. All we got were promises, and excuses about being understaffed.
When he finally went home (after begging to get out of that home as the other six or so patients were non-verbal dementia or stroke patients) the Assured folks were supposed to come and help mom with the tons of new meds and bp, glucose, weight, and lower leg edema checks in addition to pt, and they showed again twice in the week and a half that he was home after our calling repeatedly.
Funny thing, I went to the office once when visiting up there (five hours away), there was no one visible and the windows were covered. I finally figured out how to use a phone system that they had on the counter and a gal came out and explained procedure to me, big deal, they didn’t follow through. Oh, we did get a really nice scale courtesy of the feds. Snark, if you couldn’t tell.
This was in Washington state, and a legit agency and it was crappy, but still collecting money… imagine the fraudulent companies and how easy it is to collect money from the government.
Note, he contracted pneumonia and died in November, shortly after coming home. Tri Torch said that pneumonia is called The Gentleman’s death, and I’m grateful for that term. It took my dad out of his misery. ❤️😢
I’m sorry about your dad 😞 It’s already hard enough when a loved one is not doing well health wise so it’s really infuriating when it’s made even harder by these people and organizations that are supposed to help 😡
Thank you, I do have peace with it. Now on to deal with my 92 year old mother. He was an angel to deal with, her not so much. And she’s pretty healthy, but mentally failing.
Sorry to hear about your Dad. I live California and my Dad and Father in law both had hospice services years ago and hospice was a total blessing for our family. I rest in knowing that there is a higher justice and He will demand justice for those who were ripped off by these crooks.
So far they make off with hundreds of millions and only have to pay back a few million with less than 5 years jail time. That won’t be enough to stop the fraud.
Yes....it has been reported....female judges...6 months and not much restitution....no deterrence at all....I will look for the reference which I posted on America's Untold Stories on Locals.
If they could deport the legal immigrants engaging in this fraud or scare them into leaving, that would go a long way for not having recidivist fraudsters, at least.
Thank you for that reference. Absolutely repulsive! All those individuals in the Feeding Our Future fraud need to be permanently deported, and if they’ve become citizens already, it needs to be revoked!
One guy stole millions and a blue state judge gave him a year and only $96,000 restitution. I just saw that on a YouTube post this past week. Can’t remember the blue state though.
A year ago I spoke with a contractor who said his next project was working on a hospice in a light industrial area. Right then I knew the fraud had jumped to hospice.
I would have reported him to the Trump admin and told him to his face his is engaged in fraud and he should be ashamed. I would have taken his license plate number and pic of his truck and forwarded to the Trump admin.
I have to say it makes me sick to hear about these b@stards getting hundreds of millions in PPP loans.
During the fake pandemic, my small business got $10,000 as a PPP grant and I felt like I had just hit the jackpot because it helped me pay rent and stay afloat during the mandated shutdown for “non-essential” businesses.
And our government is handing out MILLIONS to these corrupt fraudsters for their BS non-profits that often funnel to illegals and progressives.
Then FinCen, for whatever good it does, tried to target and force small businesses last year to submit data on all its beneficial owners… for fraud prevention. Talk about misplaced efforts; Fortunately that was overturned.
Having to return to somalia is a terrible sentence in and of itself. Why do you think stinking omar wont voluntarily return even as she professes her love for the s'hole, while never professing love for the USA. Why is she still here???
More evidence of a key pillar of the Leftist Democrat Party (Obama's) Community Organizing for Fundamental Transformation. What establishment Republicans are willing to pile on??? Or will they continue to timidly remain quiet, expecting things to return to "normal" and then they can plead with AntiFa and DOJ that they weren't with Trump and MAGA.
Yes! Seniors thrive when they stay in their homes. I’ve been helping seniors get money out of the homes they already own to help cover these types of expenses. My Mom could have benefited, sorry I learned too late.
Based on what I’ve witnessed, yes, now I understand that.
But done right, I also think it can alleviate suffering for families and dying patients so long as medications are used to ease the pain of transition and not abused.
Not all though. My deceased husband was on hospice for 1 week in our home while I monitored everything. Just as in all things of this world, there is good and there is evil. Back to the old adage, "Don't throw the baby out with the bath water." Not everything is filthy and dirty.
The wife of my immigrant employee from Mexico is astounded by all of the people receiving public assistance in her office who are all just gaming the system, setting up "businesses" with the intention of losing money. Systemic corruption for ALL in Colorado
So frustrating. Meanwhile, those of us who ran businesses had to provide actual services that people would be willing to pay for. No fraud here. Just actual work. And not once did it occur to us that we should bill the state for any kind of fraud.
i'm sure it's a mix, would be good to get a wholistic audit of all this crap from 2015-25 for a real view of demographics, voter data, benefits denied, a true non-partisan view of the mess made and who's pursuing it for personal and political advantage
Yes they are, and they have a young kid whose Spanish is Anglo-phied! A firsthand view of America (and Mexico and the rest of Latin America) through their younger eyes is interesting --my previous, older Mexican-American employee was a devotee of Telemundo, Univision, etc. and all the mainstream Dem-Commie-Media thrown at the Spanish-speaking community. I don't think the younger crowd is Republican but at least they're not Democultists lapping up the propaganda like so many did previously.
Yep, I keep wondering why they don't mention Washington State in addition to all those other leftist States. Washington needs to be brought to heel, and is being run by far leftists who are bent on destroying the state.
I noticed the President left off a few states in his list of fraudsters. One was Michigan. We have a SoS running for governor, much like in Arizona, the one running for governor will also be overseeing her own election. Though she has been convicted of several illegalities, everything remains on appeal and she still runs for governor. Subpoenas go unrecognized in this state. During covid millions were lost in unemployment handouts. Just lost. Billions have been handed out by the MEDC for business developments that never happened and now a big health care scandal is looming out of Detroit, and yet Michigan is left out of much of Trump’s scolding. He sees beyond the immediate and that Michigan is still a purple state. The proposed revitalization of Selfridge Air Force Base is a huge carrot. Trump wants o rebuild a military presence in this state and Whitmer, the present governor wants this to give a big boost to her failed administration, but she can’t have it tied to Trump. Winnie Brinks, Democrat Majority leader in the Michigan Senate is slow walking approval for this project, which is hugely popular with Michigan citizens. I hope they keep squeezing the Dem leaders in the vise.
Washington is worse than California, a communist mini-state with one political party in complete control, passing one partisan law after another to cement its control. There is no better example of anti-representative state government in the entire U.S.
Forcing in-person voting on election day would reveal the level of corruption in a single election, which is why state Dems will fight to retain mass mail-in voting at all costs.
I just saw a great meme, change the name of ICE, Immigration & Customs Enforcement to NICE, National Immigration & Customs Enforcement. That way the media will have to complain about NICE, not ICE.
Oh boy, here we have a loser, someone contrary to Conservatives, trying to build a conservative reputation by choking this stupid comment out, so when it posts something against the conservative movement, everyone will remember this and be more supportive of the stupid comment. Seen it again and again from the liberal liars infecting this page.
I'm too old to deal with it. One strike block the idiots I do not want to hear from. I don't answer spam phone calls, email or text so why would I read or look at the crap of some posers.
I got tired of their constant negativity and the repetition of talking points, going on for months or even years in some cases, so finally blocked most of them. I am happy to listen to well reasoned diverse opinions, some of which I might not agree with, but the screeching and howling of the same old tired “arguments” and the constant doom and gloom were just not adding anything to my understanding of the current issues we’re facing. And most of these people have also been very nasty and never offer kind words or encouragement to anyone here. I don’t need that sort of meanspiritedness in my life.
100% agree! I used to want to give push-back to not let them go unchallenged, but more-often-than-not, I'm not smart enough or don't have the recall to pull the facts out. I'm to the point of just blocking. New people who read their crap will see that no-one is responding to them, and will hopefully figure it out.
Even when I do have facts and good arguments, I don’t necessarily have the time to go back and forth with them, craft a clear, well-worded comment, and find links etc. And anyway, the fact is that they will never consider anything you say with an open mind because that’s not what they’re here for. It’s a bad faith interaction from the start.
Just because we're in the End Times doesn't have to be a party pooper. The end only means another beginning, and what a glorious beginning that is!! The Resurrection is the perfect example. Happy Easter.
I quit reading comments if I get on too late. Just come for Jeff’s good reports. Most people never get beyond the first comments anyway, when there are 85 to a 100 replies, most of them trolls.
I’ve been enjoying comments a lot this week. I blocked so many accounts that it has allowed me to see comments like yours once again! Yay.
More people should just block those that are trying to ruin the solidarity and camaraderie of this community. We should NOT let them win in scaring us away. Block them! Take back our comment section and enjoy each other once again, spreading joy and optimism. ❤️ We ALL know where to go to get alternative views. This isn’t the only place but the trolls comment as if we won’t ever hear the preferred narrative if they don’t force feed it here in these comments. In reality the darkness HATES the light, and so behaves as it does.
(And I don’t mean block someone just because they disagree with you/us. They accuse us of that as a fear tactic to try to force us to see their propaganda. Don’t fall for it. It’s the same strategy as pulling the race card, the “echo chamber” card, and people are so worried to be accused of that they refuse to block. Ppppfffttt. Blocking those plopping down narratives and divisive opinions with no real desire to celebrate wins or see anything Trump does as good, or appreciate anything the rest of us believe or think, is not enforcing an echo chamber. It’s simply removing the saboteurs.)
Ok. I’m old and not techy. How do I ‘block’ on these comments? I can ‘hide’ the comment but I don’t see how to never see that commenter again. Thank you!
There are a couple of really horrible people that pop up here (and elsewhere) from time to time. How do you block them? I see the "report" option, but that doesn't block them as far as I can see.
Roll your mouse over their name and click on the link which will open their substack page. On that page find the three dots on the right side and click on the three dots. Then select the "Block" item. Done!
I think most of us who are reading comments know how to block those who are on here only to try to stick a knife in and twist it. Like minded normal people can have conversations, disagree on maybe the finer points, but are actauly like minded and like hearted.
Click on the person’s name, then you should see three dots in the upper right corner. If you click on that, you should see several options, one of which is “block.”
At least 1 leader in the western world acknowledged the event that changed our great nations. Makes me respect him more. Unlike that wimp on the throne who would rather hail the virtues of Ramadan and ignore his responsibility as Head of the Church. Happy Easter everyone. He is risen!
Roman Catholic Church is just the continuation of the Pharisees with a cross of a dead Jesus hanging around their necks. Their Jesus is actually a witch they call Mary. Think about it. There are many anti Christs in the world. There are many professing believers who like Satan himself KNOW and believe but hate who He is.
As I work on my taxes this week, and realize how much the government steals under the threat of force, I’m constantly wondering how much of the dollars stolen last year from my family went to fake hospice providers and Maine NGOs helping Democrats get elected. Makes me furious and sick to my stomach.
I have heard this said on here before, but I want to say: Jeff, THANK YOU for your optimism and amusing substack. In the last 24 hours, SO many anti-Trump articles came across my page, and it was SO discouraging! Even one that showed I've subscribed to, even tho pro-Trump, was SO depressing!
I am geared towards pessimism, and really struggle to be optimistic. Anyway, thank you so much for loving Trump and showing us the positive side of things. It's much appreciated!
I like to think of it this way: pessimism only helps the enemy. The only way we can persevere and continue to fight is by having hope, being optimistic that we can overcome, that we can win. Pessimism causes us to lose hope and stop fighting. They *want* us to be demoralized because they know that’s how we lose and they win. Don’t let them win!!!!
Also, if you are a Christian, the Bible tells us many times to continue to hope and believe in good overcoming evil. So I hang on to that too 🙏
My mom used to read this poem to us when we were kids, and I feel like it really hits the nail on the head (sometimes I wonder if President Trump has read it too 😆😁):
It Couldn’t Be Done
BY EDGAR ALBERT GUEST
Somebody said that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!
Somebody scoffed: “Oh, you’ll never do that;
At least no one ever has done it;”
But he took off his coat and he took off his hat
And the first thing we knew he’d begun it.
With a lift of his chin and a bit of a grin,
Without any doubting or quiddit,
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it.
There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done,
There are thousands to prophesy failure,
There are thousands to point out to you one by one,
I’ve posted it in C&C a couple of times before because I see too many people get discouraged too easily. It helps me to see things the way the poem frames them 🙏
Time to shut off the electronics. Take a walk. Read a book. Turn off the world noise. I do this every single day. My time is precious as is my mind and heart.
The Democrat Party, its elected and appointed operatives, and its nationwide network of NGOs, vote hustlers, and financiers: THAT is the "Deep State". Time to deep six the lot of 'em.
I heard a recent discussion about how low her LSAT score was compared to most others. And they discussed how Biden, by claiming he would appoint a "woman of color" to the court, had a pool of choices that was about 2 or 3% of those he could have selected from. She's a DEI appointment, pure and simple, and her qualifications (or lack thereof) didn't matter. In the same discussion they were also saying the other two female liberal justices are quite annoyed by Jackson. There have been some 8-1 decisions, apparently, so we know who the one dissenter was.
Elite colleges give everyone at least a "Gentleman's C." No one flunks out. Also take into account DEI and affirmative action. Lots of dummies out there with PhDs.
All levels of education now are like that. When you read that the thug shot and killed after firing on police, was an A student planning to be an astronaut…
Public schools increased their graduation rate by drastically lowering standards.
I saw some report that they’re decreasing again. I guess even paid incentives and the guarantee of a graduation walk before adoring, wildly cheering supporters and big chances of getting into a college for a highly supported degree and a high level government Job no longer beats out the more immediate thrill and flash of the streets.
Another destructive, expensive experiment of the Leftists has failed. But it has provided us with a treasure chest of incompetents in unearned positions.
Being an "A" student in public schools doesn't mean much anymore, sad to say. If kids show up with a pulse and have pushy parents who want their kid to get higher grades than they deserve, the A isn't earned, it's barely a participation trophy. No "F"'s any more, it seems.
Let’s all hope the new AG is willing to arrest one significant Democrat thief, traitor or child rapist. It’s one thing when they called Trump the candidate a Russian asset but when they went after a sitting American president, appointed special council Mueller to halt the people’s agenda, ransacked his house, got together with states filing law suit after law suit, isn’t it time someone, anyone paid a price?
To give Trump some credit he gave it a go on a lot of fronts and the courts keep blocking him. Isn’t it obvious that we’re not voting our way out of this? We need someone who will cross the Rubicon, not just dip their toe in.
As I’m reading the section about Fraud and the raids starting in CA, I’m wondering how long it’ll take for CA to sue the administration and call the federal officers work illegal. Also wondering if they’ll get the paid agitators out again to protest like they have with ICE. Time will tell. 🙄
Of course they are. Because treating this administration like it’s fascist is far more important than actually taking care of the community that’s elected them. 🙄
Think positive. Dont go looking for trouble. Remember how far are we have come. I’ve waited whole administrations to see anything at all done. Both sides. Mostly nothing happens. What is happening now is unstoppable, I believe. The world is changing and that happens many times in history. The PTB have gone too far and they will lose. The EU knows that the U.K. and Ireland are nearest to civil war. They know they are screwed. Of course they will fight back. But God is with us. He can blow the walls down. We just have to be standing in front of them on the outside and go in.This is bigger than anyone alive has seen and experienced and we are in it. God bless us all. Stay strong.
Just a heads-up for all the sane folks here at Coffee and Covid, in case you weren't aware of it, there are a number of commenters/bots using what I presume they would say is "logic" to create and sow division amongst those of us who mostly agree with our wonderful writer and lawyer friend, Jeff Childers, and Jeff's take on current events.
The two I've recently encountered go by the names "Phil Denter" and "Cotton Candy."
Just saying, since Big P(harma) has made so much money off the Death and Destruction they rained on us all over the past 6 years, they are in league with the Democrats and their lying media(75% funded by Big P(harma), to sow division within the conservative minded base.
Beware of these snakes and their attempts to divide us.
Oh I already blocked Denter long ago along with a few dozen others. Cotton is nearing that same fate … None of these saboteurs have power if no one can see their posts. 🤣
If they want to campaign so hard to win our hearts and pull us away from Jeff’s insights, then we can campaign to block them. Fair is fair 🤷🏼♀️
When they are not even listening to our points in good faith, but just want us to hear *them* out, that’s a bad faith interaction from the start. Why should I give them the courtesy of reading and considering their points if they are never willing to consider mine? I’m not here to be lectured to.
Well no one can get booted by Substack itself at the account level unless there is clear violation of their policies. I once had someone harassing me and impersonating my account. Another Substack author helped me report them and their account got banned.
Otherwise each Substack author has their own standards they choose to enforce in their own community.
I don’t believe many are blocked here. A report goes to the manager of the Substack, so either Michelle or Jeff sees the complaint. It’s up to them to decide if someone is unruly enough to be unhealthy for the community they are trying to cultivate and then block them from the Substack, but they usually don’t do that as far as I know. There’s been some pretty revolting and insulting accounts here that have been around a while and still have never been blocked. I think they leave that up to each of us to block what offends us. If I remember correctly he might have blocked one account that started to harass him personally via comment section and he deserved it? I mean if I’m the author and you start to defame me and smear my character, being the owner of the Substack I would boot ya too. LOL duh
They probably have blocked legitimate spam accounts that we report though. The obvious ones that post links spam style.
I only use the report function when I see spam, or I see someone bullying or harassing multiple people. Everyone else I just block on my own. Think of it as each of us has a porch here. I’m keeping my swept clean of the roaches. 🤣
It’s just for me. They don’t see my comments anymore and I don’t see theirs. On ANY Substack. It’s as if neither of us exist for the other. If multiple people reply to a comment and they are one of them, I won’t know ever know it unless I unblock them. I just see the other comments. And vice versa. It’s quite nice.
Some may argue you miss out on the replies to or good discussions from their comments but I really don’t care what these kinds of accounts have to say anymore. They already showed me who they are. It’s never anything new and it’s clear they have one motivation: to discredit Trump and/or this administration and instill doubt and fear into everyone. I’m already getting that through all the other stacks and media, I don’t need it here too. 😆
Besides, I am not here to try and convince anyone to see things my way so there’s no need for me to engage with these sorts of accounts. Jeff already does a stellar job, they just choose to ignore him and bait us into arguing Jeff’s points while undermining everything Jeff shares. And when we refuse to engage the way they want us to they accuse us of “blindly following” Jeff or Trump or whoever. Then they accuse Jeff of becoming a mouthpiece. 🙄🙄 Again, that’s more of the “call em racist” style stigmatizing strategy they use to control people, only here it’s to make you afraid of being called a “cult” or “blind” or in an “echo chamber”. They punish you for not listening to them by labeling you.
And they try to punish Jeff for not being more critical of Trump by calling him a mouthpiece for this administration. It’s their way to try to force Jeff to start being critical of Trump, to make him “fear” being seen as not objective. I hate these tactics. Like I said, no different than “racist!” logic.
Plenty of places you can go to get criticism of Trump, why should Jeff have to join in that melee?
I have disagreed with Jeff a lot lately, especially on the war. Based on your comment it sounds like you want a cult, not a community.
My comments are not one liners and are mostly respectful despite being attacked. Johnny-O would probably fit your description but he is also just putting out facts and interpreting them.
There is nothing wrong with using logic and nothing wrong with disagreeing.
So well said, CK. A cult. If someone on here says something that contradicts the TAW mentality they are "bots" or people attempting to sew division. How puerile.
I was on a site for a number of years, maybe 5, before the Covid debacle was sprung upon us. Some of you may remember it, it was called "Common Dreams" and admittedly it was mostly frequented by those who identify as "liberal."
Anyway, when the Scamdemic was initiated and fear ruled the day, most commenters there were all in on getting the "safe and effective" injections. Many there got to the point of being so militant that they wanted to jail anyone who refused the injections. Most there were Democrat loyalists.
Once several Doctors came out publicly against the injections with information that the establishment couldn't deny(but they could remove as "free speech laws were being curtailed"), I made several attempts to copy and paste those Dr's. statements on to the Common Dreams comments sections. Dr. Jay Bhattachyrya, Dr. Peter McCullough, Dr. Robert Malone to name just a few were advocating against the injections, however by that time the Biden crowd shut them down and did everything they could to punish them for trying to save Americans.
My attempts to save others on Common Dreams from taking the toxic shots were met with hate and derision, and they teamed up on me and had me removed. First time was 6 months, then a year, and the last time was permanent removal.
I guess the point I am making is that my disagreement on Common Dreams with their strong support of the Pharmaceutical Industry in order to save some of my friends there from the harm being wrought on those eager to put the toxic injections in their bloodstream, was all for naught because most people there had already been brainwashed into believing the injections were their only hope. And what resulted was widespread hate for those of us who read books and listened to the Doctors that didn't want to kill us.
pony boy, I read to the end. it was good of you to try to save the brainwashed from their injections!
and it's very sweet of you to make the case for those who dare question the wisdom of our following Israel into a drawn-out foreign entanglement we can't afford.
What drawn-out foreign entanglement are you referring to? You mean like the Biden administration's proxy war in Ukraine?
Clearly you haven't listened to President Trump state, numerous times that we are wrapping up in Iran in 2 to 3 weeks. The initial projections were 4 to 5 weeks.
Do you have trouble listening, hearing, or processing what you hear?
You are sounding very much like Phil Denter, another commenter here sowing division.
Do you all work for the same organization, or all you all individuals seeking to make your own waves?
I'm noticing a trend here that so called physicians are some of the most retarded. Helpful when they put their full name in and you see they donated to Act Blue.
Somehow I’ve missed Cotton Candy. But, if you check out Denter’s logo, I see clues to his identity being a certain well known writer of horror tales, (his original pen name is a clue) who has very publicly attacked Trump.
There’s several others as well. Some new names most every day.
Where would you go to try and influence and divide MAGA? Jeff is certainly one of the most popular gathering places.
“Where would you go to try and influence and divide MAGA? Jeff is certainly one of the most popular gathering places”
It’s not the lowest hanging fruit but you’re not wrong. There’s nothing wrong with skepticism and vigilance but automatically labeling someone who respectfully and thoughtfully disagrees is cult like (or leftist) behavior.
When I was looking for a new placement for my sister who is profoundly affected by cerebral palsy, I interviewed care givers and staff in the homes. Here in Portland, Oregon, we seem to have many Ethiopians who bought suburban homes to live in and rent out rooms to high functioning autism clients. They didn’t want my sister, since she needs actual care. Not just monitoring of the calendar and rides on the Tri-Met Lift bus. It was hard to find an actual care giving placement. Prayers to Our Holy Mother and out of seeming nowhere, the perfect peaceful, kind, and remarkable place opened up. I was told that this place is unique, that there is a waiting list, for the opportunity to work there!
Good lord Jeff, the Strait can't be easily opened. Iran has thousands of missiles and are still launching dozens of highly capable missiles and precisely hitting targets every single day, in multiple waves. This is not good. Expand your information awareness a bit. Your beloved leader and government is lying to you.
3k dead protesters.
10k dead protesters.
30k dead protesters.
45k dead protesters.
The strait is open.
We can easily open the strait.
We ask for help opening the strait.
We don't need help opening the strait.
We again ask for help opening the strait.
Their military has been defeated - Then WHY WOULD WE PUT BOOTS ON THE GROUND?
I’m fairly new to C&C (wish I had found it sooner) and was wondering to whom commenters above were referring when talking about trolls in these comments. Now I know
Don't forget about the blowback in the region. Do you think US forces will be returning to Iraq? Look at this rally from today - go to the 8 minute mark to see the full scale - many 10s of thousands in the streets protesting against the US. I can only imagine this sentiment is common throughout the whole region.
"All wars are NEVER about the publicly stated reasons...
"...This is not an argument in support of the Iranian invasion. I'm simply pointing out the reality of the objectives of the USG. Not only has Europe now lost all leverage, Trump is in the position of declaring that Europe and NATO are no longer an asset to the US but are, in fact, a liability we can no longer afford. The Iranian war has given Trump leverage to end the Ukraine war, force the EU to settle with Russia and reduce or even eliminate America's involvement with NATO. Coincidentally, this also increases Trump's leverage with China..."
Just a random observation: I started calling the US an empire back in the 70s and 80s when I became old enough to begin thinking for myself. When I said that, people would look at me like I was crazy. Now, everyone passively recognizes that the USG is an empire. It's not even controversial, even though many still insist on calling the US a republic because of a founding document the Gov't has long since tacitly ignored.
North Korea delivered 100 long range missiles to Iran through China and Russia years age. We are now exposed. They are hardened and can not be destroyed.
Who needs Social Security when we can add 1.5 billion to the Defence budget.
I wish someone could make a good rebuttal to you, but I seem to be battling another round of chronic fatigue like symptoms, and don't want to waste what little energy I have on it.
Your view isn't totally meritless, but as a token rebuttal, I will say that body counts increase with time, and when you are dealing with a regime such as Iran, are going to be very hard to approximate.
Or they enroll old people without telling them… like the ActBlue fraud.
04/04/26: Which explains why Jimmy Carter will remain on the hospice books until the year 4000...
Yeah, they probably have criminal collab going on! One specializes in identity theft and the other in setting up the fraud scheme.
Remember On, these names also have ballots assigned to them, closing the circle of forever theft.
Probably right 😕
I do not doubt massive fraud is happening all over the US, but just a note of caution.
Correct, the New Hospice isn’t like Old Hospice. That started maybe two years ago?
🤯
just another way US health care doesnt work for most people.
That sounds like a good guess. However, they do it, it’s absolutely disgusting! 🤮
Oh good Lord that sounds like horrible abuse both for your Dad and his family to witness. I’m so sorry for you as well, Kelly.
Way too many of us treat old people as expendable; it’s heartbreaking.
There is a special place waiting for those who abuse the helpless. Those people will have a lot of explaining to do when they meet their maker.
There’s got to be a better way.
I’m so sorry 😞😢
Include nursing homes in that.
Our experience was not great. Not awful, but not great.
Maybe if 90% the money wasn’t being stolen there would be better care
You are in illinois like me—I’m wanting to see some accountability and arrests BIG TIME. All over the news. Start in PRICKsters mansion.
Correction..."set up with THE HELP of Democrats and then..."
Karen, I am so sorry (and furious) to hear this. May the Lord bring you peace in spite of the evil that was done.
Thank you, I do have peace with it. Now on to deal with my 92 year old mother. He was an angel to deal with, her not so much. And she’s pretty healthy, but mentally failing.
Prayed for you and your mom.
Praying for you right now 💔
❤️
I am sorry your Dad is not with you to celebrate another Easter. Losing our parents is very difficult. Memories must suffice.
I do have wonderful memories of him ❤️
Peace be with you Karen.
Well, I hope these people feel good about themselves while scamming families that are desperate for their help.
I couldn’t live with that. I feel bad enough about finding and trusting the adult foster care home to take good care of my Mom. What a joke!
Long ago doctors called pneumonia the old person’s friend.
Maybe ‘friend’ is the word I was thinking of.
Karen, I'm sorry for the negative experience with your dad's end of life. Sounds like you tried your best and good on ya for that.😔
I definitely did. Hugs John 🌺
Sounds like you have a good whistleblower case.
https://www.cms.gov/medicare/medicaid-coordination/center-program-integrity/reporting-fraud
Not a bad idea
My great aunt was a nurse and called pneumonia an old person’s best friend. She said it was one of the better ways to go and she died that way.
It’s unforgivable what they put you and your dear dad through. May they pay for that kind of treatment of ill people. I’m so sorry.
Thank you.
For real? Did you read that somewhere or is this your direct experience?
That’s just enough time to plot their next offense with the money they squirreled away somewhere. No wonder there’s so many repeat criminals!
Set up permanent auditing functions that operate continuously. Fundamental restructuring.
Yes that would be a good move.
The problem is these activist judges ruling with suicidal empathy.
https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/minnesota-judges-enabling-somali-fraud-epidemic-slaps-wrist
Thank you for that reference. Absolutely repulsive! All those individuals in the Feeding Our Future fraud need to be permanently deported, and if they’ve become citizens already, it needs to be revoked!
That’s one judge. Hopefully they won’t all be that way.
Something has to be done about these corrupt judges. That’s a whole separate project, getting them dug out of their Lawfare entrenchment.
One guy stole millions and a blue state judge gave him a year and only $96,000 restitution. I just saw that on a YouTube post this past week. Can’t remember the blue state though.
It was my state, Minnesota 😡🤬🤡🤡🤡
Common sense says the fraudsters pay back every penny. How can a judge come up with anything other than full payback?!
I think it was the case linked above.
This is what I intended to share today but slept instead:
✝️✝️✝️
The way of the righteous is smooth;
O Upright One, make the path of the righteous level.
Indeed, while following the way of Your judgments, O LORD,
We have waited for You eagerly;
Your name, even Your memory, is the desire of our souls.
At night my soul longs for You,
Indeed, my spirit within me seeks You diligently;
For when the earth experiences Your judgments
The inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.
— Isaiah 26:7-9 NAS95
✝️✝️✝️
Thank you, Janice. I’m sure you needed the sleep! A blessed Easter to you 🥰
Yes, I did. What I did not need was to dream about being kidnapped in New York City then waking up more tired. 🫣🤣
😂
Indeed. Anyone who has a small business that struggled during Covid feels it like a real kick in the teeth, hearing about these fraudsters 😡
And then running to Somalia so we can't jail them.
Having to return to somalia is a terrible sentence in and of itself. Why do you think stinking omar wont voluntarily return even as she professes her love for the s'hole, while never professing love for the USA. Why is she still here???
Indeed Dan.
The key must be to stay home, which is what I thought hospice meant.
Both my parents were in hospice in California before they died, but they stayed at home, with immigrant caregivers coming daily.
I can't say I liked the caregivers, but at least my parents were not tied down.
The rule was that the limit was 6 months, and that if they decided to go into a hospital, they were dismissed from the program.
Must have been a legit one.
I warned my parents to stay away from hospitals anyway, so that wasn't a difficult thing for them to do.
Mrs. RW
Yes! Seniors thrive when they stay in their homes. I’ve been helping seniors get money out of the homes they already own to help cover these types of expenses. My Mom could have benefited, sorry I learned too late.
So sorry💔
Do you understand that hospice is legal euthanasia
Based on what I’ve witnessed, yes, now I understand that.
But done right, I also think it can alleviate suffering for families and dying patients so long as medications are used to ease the pain of transition and not abused.
Not all though. My deceased husband was on hospice for 1 week in our home while I monitored everything. Just as in all things of this world, there is good and there is evil. Back to the old adage, "Don't throw the baby out with the bath water." Not everything is filthy and dirty.
Completely agree 😡 These people are such lowlife scumbags 😡😡😡
They will all have to stand before the judgment seat of God.
And we will be there forgiven age nodding in agreement with His righteous judgement because He Lives!!
Indeed 🙏
“They’re going to die anyways”
Sure hope doj and others come after the commies in WA State. We are just as bad as CA or mini Somalia.
Are they legally here?
i'm sure it's a mix, would be good to get a wholistic audit of all this crap from 2015-25 for a real view of demographics, voter data, benefits denied, a true non-partisan view of the mess made and who's pursuing it for personal and political advantage
I meant is your immigrant employee and his wife legally here?
Yes they are, and they have a young kid whose Spanish is Anglo-phied! A firsthand view of America (and Mexico and the rest of Latin America) through their younger eyes is interesting --my previous, older Mexican-American employee was a devotee of Telemundo, Univision, etc. and all the mainstream Dem-Commie-Media thrown at the Spanish-speaking community. I don't think the younger crowd is Republican but at least they're not Democultists lapping up the propaganda like so many did previously.
If they wanted commie info, why come to America with that mentality? Probably using us as per usual since Mexico is a craphole.
If the younger are not conservative/independent right lean or Repub, they are a waste of space and a danger to our country.
I’m sure it’s the whole Left Coast
and the top half of the Eastern as well.
Some of us PNW'ers have still maintained our sanity throughout.
We are that "itch" that will just not go away!
P.S. My ancestors were here when it was all called the OREGON TERRITORY (rode in by wagon train in 1845)
I’m third generation Oregonian. Not wagon train, but later 1800’s. My great grandparents were all born around 1910, give or take.
My kids are 5th gen in same small town here. Ancestors came here after Civil War in 1860s
Yes, Barbara, we are in it.
Yep, I keep wondering why they don't mention Washington State in addition to all those other leftist States. Washington needs to be brought to heel, and is being run by far leftists who are bent on destroying the state.
Yup.
It seems to me that WA is trying very hard to be CA…
Had a bad experience with my dying father in a small town in Washington. Scroll up to the first comment.
Well, Ok Alan, but hey, get in line man!
Minnesota next!
Oregon has a few
As well.

🤣😆
Oh I so wish they’d do this!! 😁
Yeah that seems to be a common strategy. But I’m not fooled by that.
Its really funny to watch these losers and their posts, it never takes too long for them to reveal what their real agenda is.
"Conservative Contrarian" = someone contrary to Conservatism. Thinks it's cute/smart.
I'm too old to deal with it. One strike block the idiots I do not want to hear from. I don't answer spam phone calls, email or text so why would I read or look at the crap of some posers.
Active trolls in the comments today... but I'll join you in counting blessings:
*US pilots rescued (and praying for the third);
*a good start to addressing fraud in Medicare, CA, MN, and ME;
*the amazing miracle of Easter - we celebrate again tomorrow.
Keep up the good work, Jeff.
Indeed! 😊
Happy Easter to you too! 🙏✝️
You are correct Juju. So today, Proberta, Conservative Contrarian, TRM all got my block. Oh, so did "Roman Shapov".
I blocked two that you also did, I'll have to look up the other two and see if I missed them, or already have them blocked. 😁
I'm searching for Proberta... :)
Kelly,
Nice! Why bother with them right?
Dan
Ok. I’m old and not techy. How do I ‘block’ on these comments? I can ‘hide’ the comment but I don’t see how to never see that commenter again. Thank you!
Alright. I just found out as I read further down. Thank you all.
There are a couple of really horrible people that pop up here (and elsewhere) from time to time. How do you block them? I see the "report" option, but that doesn't block them as far as I can see.
Hi CMCM,
Roll your mouse over their name and click on the link which will open their substack page. On that page find the three dots on the right side and click on the three dots. Then select the "Block" item. Done!
Yes! Like I said, it’s not a good faith honest exchange of opinions. It’s just a division and demoralization tactic.
I think most of us who are reading comments know how to block those who are on here only to try to stick a knife in and twist it. Like minded normal people can have conversations, disagree on maybe the finer points, but are actauly like minded and like hearted.
So, how does one block the trolls?
Click on the person’s name, then you should see three dots in the upper right corner. If you click on that, you should see several options, one of which is “block.”
Thank you, I never knew how to do it correctly.
You’re welcome!
I don't see "block". Only "copy link", "restack", "Collapse" and "Report".
One must click their name first to go to their page (at least on a browser). Then the 3 dots. Not the 3 dots here in the comments.
Best to right click it and open in another tab in order to not lose one's place when coming back to comments.
Thank you!
100%!! My blocking idiots makes me feel better about what is before my eyes.
I’ll be blocking soon as well.
At least 1 leader in the western world acknowledged the event that changed our great nations. Makes me respect him more. Unlike that wimp on the throne who would rather hail the virtues of Ramadan and ignore his responsibility as Head of the Church. Happy Easter everyone. He is risen!
Amen, Doug. If you’re talking about the pope, he is NOT the head of the Church, Jesus is!!
I believe Doug is referencing "King" Charles III, defender of the Islam faith.
That was what I understood as well. What a coward he is 😡
WEF marionette
Oy Vey, King Charles. He really is a dope. Always has been.
The U.K. was fortunate that Queen Elizabeth stayed on the throne for so long. She didn't want to turn things over to Charles.
I'd like to see Princess Anne take over Charles' duties under the pretense that he needs to rest and recover, preferably never to return.
Like her Mother, she doesn't tolerate nonsense. And she can be a model for William who appears weak and woke.
Do you blame her, lol!
Kathleen, that makes sense. I’m sure you’re right. My comment applies equally to him! Thanks
But I think the Poop also just added an Islamic prayer room in the Vatican.
https://greekreporter.com/2025/10/15/vatican-library-muslim-prayer-room/
And maybe Red Ridinghood's grandmother should add an extra room for the big, bad Wolf.
I guess you did not see the fine king charlie's celebratory roohah for the Ramadan group while declaring he will not be giving an Easter speech.

Much Love
And Trump is inviting this POS to the White House. 😡
The "Keeping enemies close" strategy.
YES.
YES HE IS!
Spotlights are a magnificent thing, don'tcha think?
That awful Bad Orange Man!
How was Ramadan for you this year?
Apparently we’ve got a King Charles lover here.
I’m assuming Willing’s comment was made with tongue in cheek
No the King!
Talking about the head of the English Church.
Oh yes, King Charles, who also received al Julani, the new "president" of Syria, and former head of ISIS, at his court, I think it was yesterday.
Never mind that Christians are being slaughtered in Syria as we speak.
He may be a vicious terrorist, but he's our vicious terrorist.
Mrs. RW
Can I say this? The current Pope is poop.
I'm not Catholic, but as an outsider I find him totally unimpressive. Perhaps marginally better than the previous Marxist pope.
Right?????!!!! 😡🤬
So I hang on to that too 🙏
Yes, in some ways being in constant despair would feel like a sin.
Good points. Thank you. :)
You’re welcome ❤️
Somebody scoffed: “Oh, you’ll never do that;
At least no one ever has done it;”
But he took off his coat and he took off his hat
And the first thing we knew he’d begun it.
With a lift of his chin and a bit of a grin,
Without any doubting or quiddit,
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it.
There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done,
There are thousands to prophesy failure,
There are thousands to point out to you one by one,
The dangers that wait to assail you.
But just buckle in with a bit of a grin,
Just take off your coat and go to it;
Just start in to sing as you tackle the thing
That “cannot be done,” and you’ll do it.
I’ve posted it in C&C a couple of times before because I see too many people get discouraged too easily. It helps me to see things the way the poem frames them 🙏
Thank you for this. Copied and pasted into my Notes app for future reference!
You’re welcome! 😊 Glad you liked it!
Time to shut off the electronics. Take a walk. Read a book. Turn off the world noise. I do this every single day. My time is precious as is my mind and heart.
I’ve been busy unsubscribing to some of the doomers.
Good Saturday morning C&C. Happy Easter to all!
Good morning all - Happy Easter! 🌷✝️🌷
Good morning Porge! Happy Easter!! ✝️
Back at ya RL! HAPPY EASTER!
Thank you!! 😊❤️🙏
The Democrat Party, its elected and appointed operatives, and its nationwide network of NGOs, vote hustlers, and financiers: THAT is the "Deep State". Time to deep six the lot of 'em.
migrants are welcomed with open arms by Leftists for good rea$on$
It seems the entire Democrat Party is built, funded and operates by fraud. Not much longer...
FRAUD: >50% of harvard grades are A, with median gpa>3.8.
Boy that’s the truth. Just listen to Justice K Brown. She is barely literate - Harvard Law?!?!?
She is painful
And then there is AOC, a cum laude grad of Boston College.
DEI or affirmative action. I mean, would you have let her in law school?
She’s literate if you speak Jive.
This guy does.
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/5FsRohz__FU
Mrs. RW
May I present Jasmine Crockett as evidence? Not sure if she went to an Ivy, but she’s a lawyer. A LAWYER. 😳
Definitely not a biologist 😂
Someone convince me that Obama ever passed the bar exam.
Kamala?
Well he’s a NY Democrat and he’s already said there will be no more Epstein file releases so don’t hold your breath.
It’s one thing to arrest, another to get a conviction. The Left has had decades to create legal barriers and defenses. Lawfare is well entrenched.
It will take methodical and strategic moves, and many of them to defeat this structure.
I don’t believe it is impossible, I do believe it will require careful work and time.
To give Trump some credit he gave it a go on a lot of fronts and the courts keep blocking him. Isn’t it obvious that we’re not voting our way out of this? We need someone who will cross the Rubicon, not just dip their toe in.
And who would that be? An ayatollah or Communist dictator?
A communist dictator?!? You think I’m some sort of jew? That’s what we should be trying NOT to get.
Blanche has been running cover for the Epstein class. He won’t do anything
As I’m reading the section about Fraud and the raids starting in CA, I’m wondering how long it’ll take for CA to sue the administration and call the federal officers work illegal. Also wondering if they’ll get the paid agitators out again to protest like they have with ICE. Time will tell. 🙄
I’m reading it and wondering when dumpster fire Washington state will be audited
Patti, they are taking whistleblower concerns and paying up to 30% to the people reporting the fraud. .
I did see that!
Or better yet, how about doing some auditing in Washington, DC?
They are judge-shopping as we speak.
Of course they are. Because treating this administration like it’s fascist is far more important than actually taking care of the community that’s elected them. 🙄
Taking care of the community was never their aim 😡 It’s crazy anyone who elects these people could even think that but here we are 😕
Most people (even if they vote occasionally) seem to be checked out politically. Those who vote compared to those who COULD vote is a small number.
“I’m not here to be lectured to”. Precisely.
I’m here to marvel in the different insights Jeff makes and the dots he connects, and to celebrate that optimism with fellow C&Cers.
I enjoy different perspectives too, but it has to be done in a respectful way that promotes real exchange and not just a condescending opinion dump.
“Condescending opinion dump”
You’re full of good ones today!!!
Thank you, guess I’m fired up lol 😆
🙏🏽
I blocked cotton candy already.
Does anything happen when we "report" these people? (Does anyone get booted from the Substack?)
When you block them, is it just for you or does Jeff see that and get the option to block completely?
Being 'anti-war' in 2026 is just like being anti-vaxx was in 2020.
Yup. Well said.
or anti-war in 1970.
Sorry if I went on too long.
pony boy, I read to the end. it was good of you to try to save the brainwashed from their injections!
and it's very sweet of you to make the case for those who dare question the wisdom of our following Israel into a drawn-out foreign entanglement we can't afford.
Interesting that some are from Canada too 🤔
or so they say.
I believe it. The hatred some have for Trump seems typical especially for those who consider themselves “intellectuals”.
I'm noticing a trend here that so called physicians are some of the most retarded. Helpful when they put their full name in and you see they donated to Act Blue.
Yes our fearless leader is never wrong. Our troops are winning a glorious victory. War is peace. Do you hear yourselves?
Rant on.
Denter shows up a lot on John Leake's Substack, who, by the way has become a victim of TDS recently.
There’s nothing wrong with skepticism and vigilance but automatically labeling someone who respectfully and thoughtfully disagrees is cult like (or leftist) behavior.
since when is maga synonymous with quagmire?
I blocked cotton candy already. They won't sow division here so they can piss off!
pony boy, didn't you say you tried logic on the brainwashed of commondreams?
Let's hope JD Vance looks at Columbus, Ohio. There are 40,000 Somalis there, the second-highest number in the U.S.
Sounds like a great place to open a Learing Center.
40K, you have got to be kidding. They have got to go back to their own land. Just Yuck.
Nope. I wish I was. They are nasty people.
Interesting. I used to live there, "back in the day" (that expression always confuses me, btw: *whose* day? Why just a day?)
I absolutely hate where I currently live, but I DO appreciate how sheltered and safe we are (at least until the casino's come to town).
I hope they come to my Oregon. I hear we have a bunch of hospice fraud schemes
Wonderful that you found the right place and that Our Lady intervened.
Less than 48 hours☺️🌹
Good lord Jeff, the Strait can't be easily opened. Iran has thousands of missiles and are still launching dozens of highly capable missiles and precisely hitting targets every single day, in multiple waves. This is not good. Expand your information awareness a bit. Your beloved leader and government is lying to you.
3k dead protesters.
10k dead protesters.
30k dead protesters.
45k dead protesters.
The strait is open.
We can easily open the strait.
We ask for help opening the strait.
We don't need help opening the strait.
We again ask for help opening the strait.
Their military has been defeated - Then WHY WOULD WE PUT BOOTS ON THE GROUND?
example of why Substack needs a negative button - pure bs
You are the reason Substack needs negative button. You call BS without even addressing any of the points he made.
We need to not engage the crazy one
Yes, the crazy one who has warned from day one about ME wars spiraling out of control, warning of troops on the ground?
You can keep believing the non-crazies who have lied us into multiple wars this century. I'll go with my track record any day
I’m fairly new to C&C (wish I had found it sooner) and was wondering to whom commenters above were referring when talking about trolls in these comments. Now I know
Don't forget about the blowback in the region. Do you think US forces will be returning to Iraq? Look at this rally from today - go to the 8 minute mark to see the full scale - many 10s of thousands in the streets protesting against the US. I can only imagine this sentiment is common throughout the whole region.
https://www.youtube.com/live/znsPA3b72Uk
What is BS exactly?
Going against the narratives is verboten amigo
Bullshit, to be exact. It’s an acronym. Look it up. Pardon my French.
Or as Rush used to say…Barbara Streisand. Same difference! 🤣🤣
Thanks Mary. I was specifically looking for what I said that was bullshit, to be exact? Maybe you can help?
Boot on the ground would be a disaster in my small mind…
We need to gracefully withdraw and give Israel the boot…
"We need to gracefully withdraw and give Izrael the boot"
Yes Uncle, that would be the wise move.
And it looks like a dozen of America's top military leaders had the same advice for Trump, and he fired them!
It’s those damned Jooz, huh? Always those damned Jooz…
In the "fog of war", one has to question everything.
Empires do what empires do...

Your view isn't totally meritless, but as a token rebuttal, I will say that body counts increase with time, and when you are dealing with a regime such as Iran, are going to be very hard to approximate.
Don’t worry, it’s all doubleplusgood
