It’s true. I live in NW Washington. This time of year, it’s literal paradise but the politics are atrocious and it’s becoming impossible to escape them even in our cute, little conservative town.

They're importing busloads of "protesters" to our small, traditionally conservative farming town and have converted county government into a leftist political tool, using "the tribe" as their battering ram.
It’s imperative that we protect our county governments. That’s what they’re going after, the local level. We see that so clearly in SW Oregon. , They could never win county commissioner elections, so they tried to change the rules, putting that up for a vote. They lost even that, thank goodness.
In King County, Washington, we somehow "voted" to make the sheriff a position appointed by the county executive as opposed to elected by the people. This may have dire consequences.

100% agree. Rally around your good Sheriffs. They are the ones that hold the real constitutional power.

I wasn't sure how it was going to play-out in Jackson County, but relieved they lost. I know they will keep trying.
