Reading JFK and the Unspeakable right now. He was another president who tried. And died for the sin of turning towards peace. Unbelievable how much blood the CIA has on its grubby, power-greedy fingers.
EXCELLENT BOOK! if we didnt have the CIA causing trouble everywhere they go, would we even need a military? maybe it would eventually evolve into a kind of WPA, doing public service, repairing infrastructure etc.
I lived and worked in Iran 1977-79 and then Saudi Arabia from 1979-1987. All the Americans there knew full well about all the CIA types skulking around those countries and working out of the embassies as supposed diplomats. The day I arrived in Tehran in early 1977 a CIA operative was assassinated in Tehran, so there was already funny business going on there that culminated in the ouster of the Shah in early 1979. Thank Jimmy Carter for that one, he believed the lie that the Ayatollah was a "good religious man", as he said one time.
getting rid of the Shah was an excellent thing for Iran. too bad the cia meddled, by installing him in the first place, BY GETTING RID OF MOSSADEGH, the very popular leader, in the early 50s. paving the way for religious extremism.
I'm 75, husband is 77 and a Vietnam war vet. When he came back from Vietnam at the end of 1967, he was treated with disdain by all the anti-war protesters. Those same anti-war people of the 60s sure seem to be pro-war now and very anti-Trump in many cases.
They are the same people, they wanted to destroy the US then, and they still want to destroy it now... and they've created 3 or 4 generations of cretins who have been indoctrinated and brainwashed to think just like them. But we can't totally blame them, far too many good Americans failed to understand civics, failed to understand what the communists were doing in infiltrating every institution in the USA, and we let them take over. Now it has come to a head and people are going to have to decide whether the country is worth fighting for, getting bloody for, perhaps dying for...
Yeah, well, tragic as that may be.... the American men and women who went to fight there were also cannon fodder.
And yet people will fight against Trump, perhaps the only President in 100 years who got us out of wars instead of into them. Its Astonishing.

everything the CIA touches turns to shit.
Reverse Midas Touch.
I truly can not phantom how people hate him. It does seem insane. They like less money and higher prices. ?????? So he has said some mean stuff, omg.
Give me mean tweets and low grocery prices.
T shirt material her, KJ! Re: Give me mean tweets and low grocery prices.
Always lower prices. Save money Live Better, TrumpMart
Yuuuuuuuge!
It is purely a hypnotic spell. I watch my otherwise fairly sane and compassionate friends quote irrelevant media word for word on trump
