The other day at a veterans home, where the elevator keeps breaking over and over again, a vet who lost his legs in combat asked for help to be brought to his room, he was denied. He ended up sleeping on the concrete sidewalk, outside of south station in Boston, it’s disgusting what they do to vets. Governor Maura Healy has spent over 2 billion dollars on housing illegals, free health care, free transportation, free cell phones, free food, free cable tv, free internet, they are treated like first class elites. Meanwhile our vets have been kicked out of their place to make room for illegals.
Over this past winter a 62-year-old homeless American man named Carvell Curry tragically died of exposure on December 5, 2025, in freezing temperatures at the same location, outside South Station.
Income Taxes property taxes, fees and fines have all risen uncontrollably in Massachusetts to pay for the illegals while Americans and American veterans freeze to death in the streets. God help us if the communists take back control.

My brother, not knowing anything about colonial theory, told me he didn't understand. The doctor who caught the mistake was from Pakistan.

If it is any consolation whatsoever, I walked through Greenwich Village NYC today (the epicenter of gay pride in NYC) and things were very subdued. When you choose a book written by men to decide what God wants, you've already lost the argument. There are many books written by men and all claim they know what God wants. And it seems God wants a lot of different things depending on who is doing the writing. There were many versions of just the bible before and after the KJV so why is that one the "official word"? Because some other men told you it was. Many will kill in the name of God. They will claim their reasons are righteous and use various scriptures to defend it. I know that on this particular substack, I'm talking to the hard core believers and nothing I say will change that so all I'm saying is God is a whole lot bigger than anything in a book. God created EVERYTHING. We are ALL part of this God. The God consciousness expands as we expand in consciousness. God knows itself through it's own creation. It's not a judgemental dude sitting on some cloud. It doesn't pick teams, sides. I think of the Smothers Brothers skit: Mom always liked you best. These arguments about who God is favoring are very human and allow those who think God has chosen their side to feel superior to others. It also dehumanizes others and give permissiont to justify hatreds and less than "christian behavior".
My Uncle was a missionary in the Congo. He was a dedicated and stern Christian man. When he returned to the US (midwest in the 70's) he was flabbergasted at how much Christianity had morphed into a feel-good, patronizing exercise. One of his first sermons back was about the book, Your God is Too Small. (JB Phillips.) He said many act as if God is our BellBoy, or needs our help. We pray offering God suggestions and demands on how things should go forward with our lives.
One line stood out for me. "God doesn't need our help. He has a plan. He needs our obedience, our worship, our willingness to be humble and leave our futures up to Him. Stop treating Him like your errand-runner."
That changed the way I pray. I now say "Thank you God for this life. For these challenges. For these lessons and blessings. Grant me the strength and courage to address them and do my best. Amen." That's it. No more lists of things I want. No more demands about where He should go and do what *I* think He should do next.
I've had a challenging life. And still I soldier on. I have no doubts about life after death, nor am I afraid of dying. It's been a good run these 75 years. I'm grateful for it all. I'm not in the Life-running business. I believe many people would have happier lives if they, too, realized that. Young Talarico has a LOT to learn. And he will, in God's time. ha, ha, well I guess I was referring to a God that made the Universe and everything within and is what we are all a part of. Such a God wouldn't deal with petty human squabbles about who It likes best because It made everything. Why would such a God decide it doesn't like some of It's own creation? Why would such a God give one free will and then when it is exercised, condemn it? So, no I'm not talking about the Abrahamic God that is a creation of the men who used such a God to control others. Or the Christian God that the men of the Church used to control others.
Do not be afraid! How many times has God told us to not fear but trust in Him! This is so important because no matter what happens, if you surrender yourself to Jesus and let Him take care of everything fear will disappear. Fear is from the adversary. That’s his major tool to control people.

My Mum attended a one room schoolhouse in the 1930's and took Algebra via correspondence courses. Many years ago we had neighbors who were, we now know....stupid. I was trying to make a point about how gossip works. We had someone we all knew was a big time heterosexual playboy. My comment was "All it takes is for one person to say that John Doe is gay and off it goes." The husband quickly replied "John Doe is GAY?" Holy cats. I pointed out what I had said, but it didn't matter. Forever and ever, Johd Doe was now GAY to that neighbor.

Canada in the '70s to '90s (left in '98) was great. It was already in decline, but I never knew it growing up. There was more than enough good to enjoy. Watching it die from overseas has been a gut-punch.
I was born in the USA, family moved when I was five. Back every summer, some Christmases too. Felt Canadian as all my formal education was there, but real easy to slip back to being American. Never felt the slightest bit of antipathy to the States, the way current Canuckleheads seem to do.
I've never held a Canadian passport. When I first got one, I was an American citizen, and a landed immigrant in Canuckistan. It was my only option at the time. Never bothered to change it after I attained Canadian citizenship as a young man. The war on terror changed the regs, but I still haven't bothered with a Canuck document. Twice as expensive for half as long. Blow me. I'm an American.

I don't lump all Canadians nor all Americans together. But, it has been sad watching people I've known since kindergarten, whose fathers were hardworking farmers and ranchers, brought up on the Praires...turn into all-in "progressives" and vocally support the globalist agenda. So sad.

I spent many childhood Summers in the '60s and '70s in Canada, visiting family and sight seeing. My Canadian people were of Scottish descent, and the it was still evident centuries later and their voices were like coming home, to a home I had never known. These people were chiseled by the Sea and later by the Prairie and the mines. They homesteaded and braced when the Bison herd ran through the farm, dug themselves out of 10-20 foot snow drifts year after year and kept going!
They sent their young and not so young (my grand-father) over to the Great War to die in the trenches, and they sent the son's of those survivors over to take the beaches of Normandy in WW-2 (for the immigrants)! Then the Capture happened, slowly at first to let the rugged, stoic progeny of the pioneering class die off, and to plan the capture of their GGGG Grands!
The last time I stepped foot on Canadian soil was in late August of 2001, for a reunion on Vancouver Island. Little did we know, as we communed in the 1930's Cedar-lined beach cottage, built as a retirement home for the son of a Master Mariner, that the peaceful days of children on the beach clamming and the siren song of Scottish accents working in unison on the Ferry, would soon be over.
I’ve learned a number of things, when dealing with ‘journalism’. First, I note the author of a piece, and then research them…their background, politics, etc. Second, I look for ‘people familiar with the matter’ or ‘those speaking with anonymity’, etc. If there are no names attached to statements, I discount them. The new excuse for propaganda is ‘national security’. Third…..I never read The NY Times, nor do I expect any left wing outlet (most of MSM) to have anything positive to say about President Trump. President Trump once said ‘They’re not after me, they’re after you. I’m just in the way’. Essentially that is correct…the hit pieces against Trump are essentially hit pieces against the majority of Americans who voted him in office, implying that we’re stupid and don’t know how to choose what’s best for us.

I actually know Iranians\Persian people. They are well educated (either sent here to Uni, or immigrated here as children during the mass exodus in late '70s. They are very intelligent people who hold important jobs in the tech and aerospace industries. I have one kid in his 20s and one teen. The teen still likes presents but also likes money, as does the older one. It’s just not that fun to give even though I know it’s useful. And my immediate family is all gone except one, and many of the people I have exchanged presents with in the past no longer wish to, for various reasons. Which I understand and respect but it still makes me sad and disappointed.

The other day at a veterans home, where the elevator keeps breaking over and over again, a vet who lost his legs in combat asked for help to be brought to his room, he was denied. He ended up sleeping on the concrete sidewalk, outside of south station in Boston, it’s disgusting what they do to vets. Governor Maura Healy has spent over 2 billion dollars on housing illegals, free health care, free transportation, free cell phones, free food, free cable tv, free internet, they are treated like first class elites. Meanwhile our vets have been kicked out of their place to make room for illegals.
Over this past winter a 62-year-old homeless American man named Carvell Curry tragically died of exposure on December 5, 2025, in freezing temperatures at the same location, outside South Station.
Income Taxes property taxes, fees and fines have all risen uncontrollably in Massachusetts to pay for the illegals while Americans and American veterans freeze to death in the streets. God help us if the communists take back control.

My brother encountered this craziness on a various serious matter. He needed a change of a wrong diagnosis made for his son. He had to threaten legal action and the doctor - a medical professor at a very prestigious institution - said the demand was based on racism. My brother, not knowing anything about colonial theory, told me he didn't understand. The doctor who caught the mistake was from Pakistan.

I still hold the VA somewhat responsible for the premature death of two VN-era USAF friends, both of whom were exposed to Agent Orange, both of whom were told by the VA to "come back when and if they got sick" (or words to that effect) and both of whom died from cancers.
I feel 100% the same. I was at Ft McClellan, AL. Anniston was exposed to agent orange & other chemicals. The citizenry of Anniston received help from Monsanto.
Soldiers at Ft McClellan received no help. The Military organization said that they would take care of their own.

If it is any consolation whatsoever, I walked through Greenwich Village NYC today (the epicenter of gay pride in NYC) and things were very subdued. Not sure if they just haven't gotten around to going all in yet or if something else is happening. I take it as a good sign that things might be going back to how they used to be...even in the village.

When you choose a book written by men to decide what God wants, you've already lost the argument. There are many books written by men and all claim they know what God wants. And it seems God wants a lot of different things depending on who is doing the writing. There were many versions of just the bible before and after the KJV so why is that one the "official word"? Because some other men told you it was. Many will kill in the name of God. They will claim their reasons are righteous and use various scriptures to defend it. I know that on this particular substack, I'm talking to the hard core believers and nothing I say will change that so all I'm saying is God is a whole lot bigger than anything in a book. God created EVERYTHING. We are ALL part of this God. The God consciousness expands as we expand in consciousness. God knows itself through it's own creation. It's not a judgemental dude sitting on some cloud. It doesn't pick teams, sides. I think of the Smothers Brothers skit: Mom always liked you best. These arguments about who God is favoring are very human and allow those who think God has chosen their side to feel superior to others. It also dehumanizes others and give permissiont to justify hatreds and less than "christian behavior".
My Uncle was a missionary in the Congo. He was a dedicated and stern Christian man. When he returned to the US (midwest in the 70's) he was flabbergasted at how much Christianity had morphed into a feel-good, patronizing exercise. One of his first sermons back was about the book, Your God is Too Small. (JB Phillips.) He said many act as if God is our BellBoy, or needs our help. We pray offering God suggestions and demands on how things should go forward with our lives.
One line stood out for me. "God doesn't need our help. He has a plan. He needs our obedience, our worship, our willingness to be humble and leave our futures up to Him. Stop treating Him like your errand-runner."
That changed the way I pray. I now say "Thank you God for this life. For these challenges. For these lessons and blessings. Grant me the strength and courage to address them and do my best. Amen." That's it. No more lists of things I want. No more demands about where He should go and do what *I* think He should do next.
I've had a challenging life. And still I soldier on. I have no doubts about life after death, nor am I afraid of dying. It's been a good run these 75 years. I'm grateful for it all. I'm not in the Life-running business. I believe many people would have happier lives if they, too, realized that. Young Talarico has a LOT to learn. And he will, in God's time. Not my monkey, not my circus. I have too many other issues to deal with. He gets to reap what he sows.

ha, ha, well I guess I was referring to a God that made the Universe and everything within and is what we are all a part of. Such a God wouldn't deal with petty human squabbles about who It likes best because It made everything. Why would such a God decide it doesn't like some of It's own creation? Why would such a God give one free will and then when it is exercised, condemn it? So, no I'm not talking about the Abrahamic God that is a creation of the men who used such a God to control others. Or the Christian God that the men of the Church used to control others.

Don’t be sad thinking about me. This really is a neat place. Grandma and Grandpa met me as soon as I got here and showed me around some, but it will take a long time to see everything.
The angels are so cool. I love to watch them fly. And, you know what? Jesus doesn’t look like any of his pictures. Yet, when I saw Him, I knew it was Him, and Jesus himself took me to see GOD!
And guess what, Mom? I got to sit on God’s knee and talk to Him like I was somebody important. That’s when I told Him that I wanted to write you a letter, to tell you goodbye and everything. But I already knew that wasn’t allowed. Well, you know what Mom?
God handed me some paper and His own personal pen to write you this letter. I think Gabriel is the name of the angel who is going to drop this letter off to you.
God said for me to give you the answer to one of the questions you asked Him ‘Where was He when I needed him?’
God said He was in the same place with me, as when His son Jesus was on the cross. He was right there, as He always is with all His children.
Oh, by the way, Mom, no one else can see what I’ve written except you. To everyone else, this is just a blank piece of paper.
Isn’t that cool? I have to give God His pen back now. He needs it to write some more names in the Book of Life. Tonight I get to sit at the table with Jesus for supper. I’m, sure the food will be great. Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. I don’t hurt anymore. The cancer is all gone.
I’m glad because I couldn’t stand that pain anymore and God couldn’t stand to see me hurt so much, either. That’s when He sent The Angel of Mercy to come to get me. The Angel said I was a Special Delivery! How about that?

Canada in the '70s to '90s (left in '98) was great. It was already in decline, but I never knew it growing up. There was more than enough good to enjoy. Watching it die from overseas has been a gut-punch.
I was born in the USA, family moved when I was five. Back every summer, some Christmases too. Felt Canadian as all my formal education was there, but real easy to slip back to being American. Never felt the slightest bit of antipathy to the States, the way current Canuckleheads seem to do.
I've never held a Canadian passport. When I first got one, I was an American citizen, and a landed immigrant in Canuckistan. It was my only option at the time. Never bothered to change it after I attained Canadian citizenship as a young man. The war on terror changed the regs, but I still haven't bothered with a Canuck document. Twice as expensive for half as long. Blow me. I'm an American.
Todd, please do not lump all Canadians together. I love America, always have. Many trips across the border growing up, travels with my husband and son down into Mexico, ect. I'm blessed to have wonderful friends and family in the US and unlike others in Canada, I do not have TDS. I admire and respect President Trump and would be overjoyed if he decided to Maduro Canada.

I spent many childhood Summers in the '60s and '70s in Canada, visiting family and sight seeing. My Canadian people were of Scottish descent, and the it was still evident centuries later and their voices were like coming home, to a home I had never known. These people were chiseled by the Sea and later by the Prairie and the mines. They homesteaded and braced when the Bison herd ran through the farm, dug themselves out of 10-20 foot snow drifts year after year and kept going!
They sent their young and not so young (my grand-father) over to the Great War to die in the trenches, and they sent the son's of those survivors over to take the beaches of Normandy in WW-2 (for the immigrants)! Then the Capture happened, slowly at first to let the rugged, stoic progeny of the pioneering class die off, and to plan the capture of their GGGG Grands!
The last time I stepped foot on Canadian soil was in late August of 2001, for a reunion on Vancouver Island. Little did we know, as we communed in the 1930's Cedar-lined beach cottage, built as a retirement home for the son of a Master Mariner, that the peaceful days of children on the beach clamming and the siren song of Scottish accents working in unison on the Ferry, would soon be over.

First, I note the author of a piece, and then research them…their background, politics, etc. Second, I look for ‘people familiar with the matter’ or ‘those speaking with anonymity’, etc. If there are no names attached to statements, I discount them. The new excuse for propaganda is ‘national security’. Third…..I never read The NY Times, nor do I expect any left wing outlet (most of MSM) to have anything positive to say about President Trump. President Trump once said ‘They’re not after me, they’re after you. I’m just in the way’. Essentially that is correct…the hit pieces against Trump are essentially hit pieces against the majority of Americans who voted him in office, implying that we’re stupid and don’t know how to choose what’s best for us.

I have one kid in his 20s and one teen. The teen still likes presents but also likes money, as does the older one. It’s just not that fun to give even though I know it’s useful. And my immediate family is all gone except one, and many of the people I have exchanged presents with in the past no longer wish to, for various reasons. Which I understand and respect but it still makes me sad and disappointed.
Sounds like we’re in a similar situation. Although I do have two grandbabies now, the almost-2 is old enough to love presents. That’s a nice bonus.
