Jeff. I have stayed quiet for long enough and need to fan gush for just a minute. I really look forward to your write-ups, and I even read while having my (2nd cup) morning coffee. It’s only preceded by coffee (1st cup) with God and hubby. You have a knack for covering most of what is important to me, so I can decide whether to disconnect from news for the day, or dig a little deeper. But the best part is that you write in a way that fits my perspective on life in general, and that is “if you don’t laugh, you’ll cry”. So thank you. Thank you for all the showing up you do; whether it’s listening to political drivel, or watching headlines of various sketchy sources, or scrolling social media, and much more im quite sure. Thank you. Much love and many prayers to and for you and yours.
SadieJay, Shari, Rosalind, and Lynn - it’s good to know I’m virtually with fellow appreciators of coffee with serious news/humorous spin. It has lifted my day and prepped me for going out the physical world of crazy. I can better smile to myself and remember I’m not alone. Cheers ☕️ ✨☕️
I think of this & a few other substacks as a safe haven. I feel an obligation to know what’s going on & the comment section is a good , kind, intelligent & supportive community, full of helpful responses, unlike most social media. And it’s ok here to show faith in God- lacking elsewhere.
Definitely agree on all points, especially re: mentioning faith in God. I don’t have to worry about personal attacks or inciting comments. In the comments I often find rabbit trials and interesting nuggets to tuck away for future potential use. And bonus: I can even let my 15 yo daughter read the stack without worry! We’ve both learned so much. :)
I’m extremely encouraged by a growing number of sites and especially substacks where traditional, Christian perspectives are being boldly shared. The Epoch Times comments, e.g., are pretty solid, and Dr. Robert Malone has no problem acknowledging the spiritual nature of this battle, although he is wonderfully diplomatic and inclusive.
Several years ago, I told my kids that I sense a new Great Awakening emerging in the US. Lately, I’m seeing it. “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land” 2 Chronicles 7:14. That’s a promise. Let’s claim it and live it.
Same here! This is my favorite substack and the only one I read daily. Jeff is the best at summarizing and drawing attention to key points one might miss on a casual glance; words matter and nothing gets by him. The comments section is an added bonus and I love the community here:) Prayers for all for discernment and wisdom as we navigate conversations with each other and our circles of family, friends, work, etc.
Yes this stack is also the one I read the most, primarily because Jeff has such a way with words. Our combined prayers for discernment and wisdom are absolutely a must and more and more needed. I know I had gotten a little too comfy spiritually before 2020, so I’m really enjoying the reinvigoration of my own relationship with God. Trials refine us and purify hearts. I’m grateful for it.
Me too! Comfortable Christianity is NOT a good place to be. I love the people on here and it is a treasure. I learn so much from following a rabbit trail or not through the comments. Blessed indeed.♥

Your words are so positive and upward looking, and that particular scripture is so centering. Love it!
Rosalind, agreed!

My sentiments, as well. Thank you, JT, for expressing them for me. God bless Jeff Childers and this community.
Great post, I feel the same way about the daily round up from Jeff! I especially love his optimism and faith!
