My hot-take is dumbed down— and I’m not even a Gray Lady reader nor a Portlander, but “invasion” works for me, all day long.

Say someone walks into your room or home without knocking. That’s considered an invasion ——of privacy, in the case of your room. It’s a home invasion in the case of your home. If millions of uninvited military aged men walk into your country uninvited, isn’t that, uhhh… worse?

Judicial-Executive OVERREACH and Democrap controlled Congress and lapdog RINOs were fine with it all for YEARS until TX Gov Abbott and FL Gov DeSantis finally....got FED up and took action to counter it somewhat. Then PRESTO!!! Instant Democrat Blame-shift to Republican Governors as traffickers and Republican Congress as Scapegoat preventing the magical yet ever-elusive "Immigration Reform". Denver mayor White Privilege Johnston demands his $24,000,000 Federal reimbursement for his Sanctuary City within a Sanctuary State caring for the masses of "Newcomer-Refugee Asylum-Parolees" and providing services, schooling, medical care, housing, food, transportation for tens of thousands before distributing them statewide and on to Chicago etc.

Natelson & Hayman's Abstract in Vol 13 issue 1 of British Journal of American Legal Studies; The Constitution, INVASION, Immigration, and War Powers of the States is an excellent article on the discussion as framed by the Founders.

My personal view is when Federal and State Governments--ALL 3 Branches; (from 1960s-present), for whatever reason (Criminal Conspiracy, DeepState Fedocratic Hijacking, Foreign/U.N. Influence, Party Syndicatism, etc.) FAIL, Neglect, Reject, and/or Subvert by redefining or other activites, their sworn stated and defined Constitutional Duties, then The PEOPLE may and MUST then be obligated to strive by whatever means available to Defend themselves and their Constitutions. The Higher Natural-Divine LAW stands supreme and un-moveable by men or their corrupted nature or rationale. Reference C.S. Lewis Abolition of Man to supplement the modernist Anti-theistic nature of the conflict.

"Follow the Money" dictates that we view the Global Banking system with the MOST Jaded Suspicion; Monarchs bowed to it, Colonial empires and Opium Wars perpetrated by it, and Robber Barons and tech wizards elevated by it. World Wars, coups and Cold Wars, deindustrialization of the West, and a belligerent Communist China have been its creations.

Now we face the ravenous AI-AGE where land, water, resource, energy CONFISCATION will be the rule in order to fully construct the global information (intrusion-surveillance) Matrix for full intersection and interconnection of human thought/action with a mostly dispassionate and contrived technological Master Ruling Apparatus that will evaluate and determine humanity's worth, future, and meaning.

Before questioning your the claim he came in July 2024 illegally, which doesn't seem to be based on more than empty statements that don't match the timeline of his crossing the Darien Gap and arriving in August, the point I hope it would be easy to agree on, is even if someone came illegally, that doesn't equate to being shackled in a confinement center with brutal treatment for probably the rest of one's life.

But I agree with what you say here - "People who enter the country illegally don’t have to commit another crime to be a deportable illegal alien.", if deportation means being sent back to where they came from, not sent to CECOT or Guantanamo. That's nowhere near proportionate or humane.

About Andry Hernandez Romero's timeline and allegations of first coming illegally ... I do take AI with many grains of salt, but Grok is thorough, this is a partial paste of asking it what evidence there is of him crossing legally and illegally.

(And note on the credible fear interview - Stephen Miller says people just know the "magic words" to say to pass the interview, and I'm sure that's true. No doubt many many people pretend they're being persecuted when they have other reasons (some to find higher paying work, not all come to just get free stuff or to murder).

But this guy, a soft, skinny, feminine man, seems just the sort of person who would be brutally persecuted in Venezuela ... by the gangs he's now in CECOT with (supposedly, the minority of gang members in CECOT run the cells, get medicine when they need it, and the non-gang members, most of them at least from this account, get beaten when they need medicine, and urinated on)

~ I just don't want to grasp what it means if a significant amount of conservatives think this is fair treatment for people who have not committed violent crimes (even if they did come illegally)

(This is about the gang crackdown in El Salvador before Trump was in office, interview with a man who made it out, was imprisoned at age 16, and also with a police officer who said they had quotas and knowingly arrested innocent people - https://www.pbs.org/newshour/show/thousands-of-innocent-people-jailed-in-el-salvadors-gang-crackdown )

(And you may think that the CPB One app never should have been given, and that everyone who got it, having been misled themselves, should Still be deported. That's a fair enough conversation to have, unless "Deported" means "put in chains in CECOT to be tortured".)

~~

From Grok 3 about Andry Romero ~

Evidence to Corroborate the Allegation

There is no direct evidence in the provided sources or other credible reporting to corroborate the claim of an illegal crossing in July 2024.

Below, I outline the lack of supporting evidence and inconsistencies:

Absence of Primary Records:No official records (e.g., Border Patrol apprehension reports, ICE detention logs, or court filings) are cited in the Financial Express article or elsewhere to confirm an illegal crossing in July 2024.

Court documents related to Hernández Romero’s case, as referenced in CBS News, The New Yorker, and Los Angeles Times, focus on his legal entry on August 29, 2024, at the San Ysidro Port of Entry via the CBP One app.

These documents include his credible fear interview, asylum application, and ICE intake forms, none of which mention a prior illegal crossing or deportation.

The Immigrant Defenders Law Center, representing Hernández Romero, has not acknowledged a July 2024 crossing in their statements or filings, instead emphasizing his legal entry and due process violations.

The Financial Express claims Hernández Romero was "booted [from] the country" after a July 2024 crossing and returned in August 2024.

However, this timeline conflicts with the well-documented account of his journey: he left Venezuela in May 2024, traveled through the Darien Gap (a months-long process), and reached Mexico to secure a CBP One appointment.

There is no evidence of a rapid deportation and re-entry within a month.

If Hernández Romero had been apprehended and deported in July 2024, it would likely appear in ICE or CBP records, which would have been flagged during his August 2024 entry. No such records are cited, and his credible fear interview in August 2024 proceeded without issue, suggesting no prior immigration violations.

DHS and ICE Statements: The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and ICE have not publicly claimed that Hernández Romero crossed illegally in July 2024.

Instead, DHS spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin stated that their assessment of his alleged Tren de Aragua gang affiliation "went well beyond gang affiliate tattoos" and referenced his social media, but **provided no evidence **or mention of a prior illegal crossing.

***ICE’s intake form, cited in court documents, focuses solely on his crown tattoos as the basis for gang allegations, with no reference to a prior apprehension or deportation.

There is no credible evidence to corroborate the claim that Andry José Hernández Romero crossed the U.S. border illegally in July 2024.

The allegation originates from a single Financial Express article citing an unverified New York Post report, with no supporting records, court documents, or statements from DHS, ICE, or his legal team.

The claim is inconsistent with the well-documented timeline of his legal entry on August 29, 2024, at the San Ysidro Port of Entry via the CBP One app, supported by CBS News, The New Yorker, Los Angeles Times, and court filings.

===---====

Did Andry Hernández Romero Enter the U.S. Legally Through a Port of Entry to Seek Asylum?

Yes, Andry Hernández Romero entered the U.S. legally through a port of entry to seek asylum. Multiple credible sources confirm that he presented himself at the San Ysidro Port of Entry near San Diego, California, on August 29, 2024, after scheduling an appointment through the CBP One app, a government program designed to facilitate legal entry for asylum seekers.

Details of Entry: Hernández Romero fled Venezuela in May 2024 due to persecution based on his sexual orientation and political opposition to the Maduro regime. After traveling through the Darien Gap and Mexico, he used the CBP One app to secure an appointment to seek asylum at the U.S. border.

Upon arriving at the San Ysidro Port of Entry, he was processed by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and underwent a credible fear interview, a critical step in the asylum process.

He passed this interview, indicating that his fear of persecution in Venezuela was deemed credible by U.S. authorities, allowing him to proceed with immigration court proceedings.

Clarification on Illegal Entry Claims: Some sources, such as The Financial Express, mention an earlier attempt in July 2024 where Hernández Romero allegedly crossed the southern border illegally into Texas and was returned to Mexico by U.S. Border Patrol.

However, this claim is not corroborated by other primary sources, and his subsequent legal entry in August 2024 via the CBP One app is widely documented. The consensus from reputable outlets (e.g., CBS News, The New Yorker, Los Angeles Times) and his legal team at the Immigrant Defenders Law Center is that his asylum process began with a legal entry at San Ysidro.

Claims of illegal entry appear to be either misinformation or conflated with his earlier, unverified attempt. Posts on X also emphasize his legal entry, with users like @ReichlinMelnick stating, “Andry entered the country legally at a port of entry to seek asylum,” reinforcing the narrative supported by court documents and legal advocates.

Did He Follow Through with Obligations to Begin the Process of Seeking Legal Residency/Citizenship?

Yes, Hernández Romero followed the required steps to initiate the asylum process, which is a pathway to legal residency in the U.S. Asylum seekers who pass a credible fear interview are placed in immigration court proceedings to adjudicate their claim, which, if granted, can lead to lawful permanent residency and eventual citizenship.

Here’s what he did: Credible Fear Interview: After entering legally on August 29, 2024, Hernández Romero passed his credible fear interview, a screening to determine if he had a viable asylum claim. This step was completed successfully, as confirmed by his attorney, Lindsay Toczylowski, and multiple reports.

The government found his fear of persecution credible, indicating a strong likelihood of winning asylum.

Detention and Asylum Application: Following the interview, he was transferred to ICE custody at the Otay Mesa Detention Center in San Diego due to suspicions about his tattoos (discussed below).

In December 2024, his attorney, Paulina Reyes from the Immigrant Defenders Law Center, filed a formal asylum application on his behalf.

***Scheduled Court Hearing: Hernández Romero was scheduled for an immigration court hearing on March 13, 2025, to further his asylum case.

However, he was abruptly transferred to a detention facility in Texas around March 6 or 7, 2025, and deported to El Salvador on March 15, 2025, without appearing in court, violating his due process rights.****

Outcome: Hernández Romero fulfilled his obligations by entering legally, passing the credible fear interview, and having an asylum application filed. His deportation under the Alien Enemies Act—based on unsubstantiated gang affiliation claims—interrupted his legal process without a hearing, which legal experts and advocates argue was unconstitutional.

Yes, to accurately and LEGALLY define this as an INVASION means admission and disclosure of a decades long intentional plan. A Quasi-Legal but Criminal Conspiracy of Uniparty, U.N., and Universal Wholistic Agency-wide effort that, in 2021-24, was then ultra-manifested with a punctuated all-out assault upon all borders, coasts, and direct flights of tens of millions. Coordinated yet mostly concealed internal resettlement of foreign mal-actors, agents, mixed with general population to be funded and absorbed nationwide all with an aim of burdening and destabilizing communities while furthering destabilization and resource acquisition both domestically and in the countries of origin.

This admission and definition would be a trigger-point for wholesale conflict with masses of elitists and orders-followers who have aided and abetted the Anti-Constitutional Assault via extra-Constitutional means. This in itself would either cure or kill the American Republic, likely a risk worth undertaking even as our conspiratorial Domestic-Foreign Enemies see no downside to our undoing. So no leniency.

It is not injustice to enforce the law. The mainstream media is so obsessed with Trump that they will do anything they can to make sure he does not succeed. Even if what he is doing has been done for the last 50 years by other US Presidents. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. President Lincoln was the last president to suspend Habeas Corpus. He did so during the Civil War in response to activist judges. I don't know if we are at that point yet, but the judges are really out of control.

Common Law is what is used in our system of justice. J6rs were charged with Obstruction (not just illegal entry or protest or other misdemeanor charges). The courts tried to use an Enron Court case law wherein their crime was to tamper with evidence, documents or records and then apply this to the J6rs as Obstruction. It didn't pass legal muster once it made it to the Supreme Court.

In the case of immigration, case law matters once again. Past case law precedence has allowed for massive numbers of deportations (see chart) irrespective of party affiliation. That has changed this year. Thus far in 2025 Trump has deported just over 100,000. A historically very low number. It appears that there are activist judges trying to change case law and make it very difficult for President Trump to do what other administrations have done.

Although this issue is presented as partisan, I don't think it is partisan at its core. Yes, the Democrats would like more illegals to stay to garner more votes, but I think the true drivers are globalists who wish to destabilize or destroy every institution of our republic (similar to the destruction you see in Europe), so that people will accept a more Socialized or Marxist form of government control just to get order back.

I don't advocate opening the border and letting in everyone who wants to come through. I think people who crossed illegally should be sent back to where they came from.

The point of that funny video was if you're voting for open, unvetted borders, and you think the US should house every person in the world who wants to come here, and frame it as racist if the other team wants to have a functioning border and deport illegals, then it would make sense to make room for them in your home.

I think "no human is illegal" is an idiotic slogan ... all of us would be illegal in another country if we decided to stay forever and not come through an immigration process.

I surely did not vote for Harris / Walz, I voted for Trump.

I thought the fearmongering about rounding up random people was an insane exaggeration, from the grains of truth that illegals would be found and sent back where they came from, not to a concentration camp (which it is by definition).

All I'm trying to say is, unless they are found guilty of violent crimes by a court, they shouldn't be sent to a confinement center, chained, and tortured.

I'm not saying it's cruel to have a border, or not give debit cards, phones and luxury hotel housing to anyone and everyone.

I'm not saying it's cruel to imprison members of violent gangs, or murderers or rapists.

I'm just saying it's cruel to imprison people with no criminal record, accused of no crimes, for things like having a tattoos of crowns - https://www.forbes.com/sites/saradorn/2025/04/07/photo-shows-deported-gay-makeup-artist-andry-hernandez-romero-pleading-with-guards-at-el-salvadors-cecot/ ,

Or for nothing at all - https://www.newsweek.com/merwil-gutierrez-ice-wrong-teen-el-salvador-

(All these men came through legal channels.)

Why is this difficult to understand?

Are there other people you consider human enough to not want them chained and tortured, but that you still wouldn't welcome in to your home to live?

At least many of the comments on this forum understand it's inhumane to send people to a foreign hellhole without due process ...

Since you are so familiar with modern day Jews, I assumed you knew what Pharisaism is because modern Talmudic Jews, Rabbinic Judaism based on the theology of the Talmud, are the spiritual and theological heirs of the Pharisees of Jesus' day. But apparently not. Perhaps a review of what Jesus had to say about their beliefs would be helpful.

Expand full comment
Willing Spirit's avatar

I know what Pharisees were from the scriptures. Saul, who become the Apostle Paul, was a major one.

He was so intellectual and so learned in the Scriptures that he was positive that Jesus could not be the Messiah. He was so certain that believing Jesus was the Messiah was heretical and wrong before God and dangerous that he was enthusiastically murdering adherents to the Way up till Jesus stopped him cold.

The Pharisees missed the coming of Jesus and killed him because he didn’t neatly fit into their religion. They worshipped their religion, not God. Scripture says some even knew he was the Messiah.

A ‘pharisee ’ (lower case) is one who worships what he views as his superior grasp of spiritual matters. He is certain that he is so learned of the scripture and that the interpretation he holds is so correct that anything that doesn’t align with it has to be incorrect and morally wrong.

Certain ‘pharisees ’ today (and you appear to be one) have missed the signs of the return of Israel.

You would see Israel dead and gone before you would acknowledge you might have it wrong.

But the Pharisees couldn’t put an end to Jesus, and today’s’pharisees ‘won’t put an end to Israel

Expand full comment
Politico Phil's avatar

It's quite interesting how, as a Christian, you can completely skip over the fact that today's Judaism is the theological offspring of the Pharisee religious establishment of Jesus' day by flipping things around and accusing another Christian of being a Pharisee. Nothing you said was even relevant to my comment you were responding to which tells me you don't have the ability to address what I said in a straight forward manner. I can't even imagine the twisted logic your position would have to use to address the passages where Jesus was condemning the Pharisees for their apostasy to the Biblical faith in God's promise of the coming Messiah.

The "judges" ignored habeas like the plague, they were there to find these people guilty or simply mire their cases in lawfare to keep them locked up as a threat to everyone else who dare challenge the coup-de'tat conducted in 2020... let's be clear, the J6 people went to DC to use their right to free speech to protest a stolen election. The treasonous government put into power by the coup conducted an operation to accuse them of insurrection and lock them up.

What happened to J6'ers (and President Trump and all that he had to suffer through) will go down as the most reprehensible un-constitutional in-justices in the history of our country. I pray and hope that President Trump and the DOJ can prosecute all of them.

(How the J6ers were treated was horrible and unforgiveable) .. From the perspective of those who dehumanize Trump supporters, who assume they're all the same and actions of some reflect on the others ... Videos showed windows broken, and police officers assaulted (some probably by protesters who weren't even feds)

Red hats, American flags, Trump supporters, all the same (according to the logic of dehumanization) ... so punishing different people for what others did is part of this injustice that cuts and pastes crimes where they don't fit, and punishes innocent people, to make a point.

I don't think this is OK, at all ... I don't share this way of thinking ... but it feels similar to how migrants and immigrants are thought of ... innocent people, young girls, have been brutally murdered and raped by migrants (some who had criminal records and never should have been let in.) Open, unvetted borders are a disaster that I'm not excusing at all.

But anger at the crimes of some migrants is being taken out on others. There's no humanity for people with no criminal records who are flown to CECOT and Guantanamo, with no due process.

And to rationalize it, people point to crimes that other people, with common nationality, did ... even when the immigrants did come through the legal process ...

And the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them, and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. Bible prophecy is so incredible. Revelation is a book of no comparison. It is Gods encrypted message and only those who know Him understand it’s inevitable truth about the end. I love Him for what He did for Me. It’s a personal choice. Just make it. Don’t wait!

Expand full comment
Politico Phil's avatar

Not being contradictory here but Revelation actually is a book of comparison. The intense imagery used by Christ in His message to John to deliver to the seven churches in Asia draw heavily on the imagery used by the prophets and writers of the Old Testament. Being steeped in the knowledge of the OT, the first century church who lived during Jesus' and Paul's ministry understood the meaning of Christ's message and as a result escaped the destruction of Jerusalem before the city was surrounded by the Romans.

Today Christians are woefully unfamiliar with the OT and when they read Revelation they try to interpret Christ's meaning by shoehorning current events into the narrative. The only way to understand the Bible is to let the Bible interpret itself.

First, God didn't "encrypt" the Bible. Second, no one knows the source of the words that eventually became this book of the Bible. Third, the idea of a lake of fire is crude and primitive. The Two Contradictory Creation Accounts

The Book of Genesis begins with two contradictory creation accounts (1:1-2:3 and 2:4-3:24). In the first, God created humans (male and female) after he finished making all of the other animals. In the second, God made one man ("Adam") and then created all of the animals in order to find a helpmeet for Adam. God brought all of the animals to Adam, but none of them appealed to him. So God made a woman from one of Adam's ribs to serve as his helpmeet.

It’s EASY to take the wide path of unbelief and doubt. It’s much harder to DIG for understanding. The ‘majority’ is rarely correct. That is why true believers are called ‘the Remnant’.

The way of unbelievers is a wide path, a wide gate. Easy-peasy.

The way of the believer is the narrow path, narrow gate. “The road less taken”.

The disciple John is believed to have written the book of Revelation. He was the youngest disciple and the last to die, an old man in his 90s. He was also the only disciple not martyred as a Believer in Jesus.

ALL the others died violently as martyrs, refusing to save their own lives by denying what they had been teaching about Jesus.

They must all have been totally convinced by Jesus teaching and miracles, by witnessing his death and then the impossible, meeting him alive again.

Luke the medical doctor wrote Luke's gospel and book of Acts. He said he did so after talking to many who had personally known Jesus, many of whom were still alive when he wrote his books. He said that up to 500 people together on 1 occasion all saw and heard Jesus alive after his resurrection.

None of the disciplines denied who or what Jesus was to save their own lives. They died as eye witnesses.

Something so totally and powerfully convinced this odd group of men about Jesus that it totally changed their lives.

Yet of course the left is blind to the tyranny that was vaccine mandates, and many other things ...and they can never admit anything Trump does is good, nor that there was such a mess Dems had created that needed rebalancing ...

But still, disappearing people into a dungeon with no due process or criminal records is not the same as sending illegal migrants back to their home countries ...

Sad to see that some of the stereotypes the left goes on about have more truth than I realized, or wanted to realize ...

It's not just the multiply-boosted, biological sex-denying, MSNPC-trusting left who see serious problems now. And denial of due process when what's at stake is sending people to be chained in a confinement center where they will be tortured and may never leave, should not be a partisan thing to oppose.

Those who cheer it on feed the worst stereotypes of Trump supporters, stereotypes I did not want to believe were true.

"Since so many people seem to have forgotten, due process is not enshrined in the US Constitution because the framers wanted to be nice to monsters. It is there because the framers wanted the new nation to operate according to the rule of law, not according to the will of tyrants, whose excuse for tyranny is always 'the monsters'“- CJ Hopkins

MCM saw that the 2020 election was stolen, was right about covid / masks / shots all along, and compiles lists of people likely killed from the vaccines. The non-partisan middle is pleading with both "sides" to not loose humanity. To not loose the ability to be critical when it's deserved, which sometimes it is.

(although the staunch Trump-hating left may be beyond reach, but maybe someone here is not ..?)

"We ALL should try to take the high road (inconceivable though that may be), and join forces to bring down our REAL enemies, who are really neither left nor right, but sway them both, from high above ...

What Trump has done, in short, is build on rational and even necessary policies—deporting foreign criminals, pushing back on DEI, protecting kids from mutilation, saving taxpayers money—to go hog-wild across the board, and without clearly saying why"

Grok.com query - I asked if the Trump administration has given any evidence of criminal records for these people, and Grok said no they hadn't.

- Andry Hernandes Romero (crown tattoos over his parents' names & works in the beauty pageant industry. A gay man who is probably being treated horrifically.)

- Jerce Reyes Barrios (supposedly made a gang sign in a social media post from 14 years ago, probably a misinterpretation of the sign for "I love you" in sign language, similar to the rock n roll hand gesture used all the time; a soccer player with soccer ball tattoos)

- Merwil Gutierrez (19, no evidence at all, no tattoos, one officer said "he's not the one", the other said "take him anyway")

- Ricardo Prada Vasquez (delivery driver who took a wrong turn toward Canada, has legal US residency).

All came here legally. These are just the names known, there may be hundreds more, and if habeas corpus is suspended, there may be thousands - millions more.

~~

If these peoples' humanity does not mean anything, imagine the slippery slope of denial of due process + "homegrown criminals" in an administration with President Pritzker or HHS Secretary Dr Peter Hotez or some other insane tool of darkest of evils ..

Because the more people who disappear to CECOT or Guantanamo while there is no evidence shown as to why, the more likely it will be for Dems to win back power.

Meant with respect .. and sadness ...

What was so sad was that my friend called me on my birthday and told me he got the covid booster. He joked, "and no side effects." I had tried to warn him about the shots, but his doctor convinced him to take them.

Another person I know just died this week. Elderly person who had a history of cancer prior to CoVid but was healthy and in remission for years. CoVid injected and boosted to the max (because she was “vulnerable”). Turbo melanoma. Tumors everywhere. Started treatment but was too far gone and because we are in Canada-was offered and took MAID service. So sad. The news of another study about the mechanism of harm from mRNA injections and decreasing fertility seems particularly poignant coming out on Mother’s Day weekend.
