My husband and I have done what is almost always a 16 hour daily fast for quite a few years. We started doing this at least 10 years ago to drop about 25 lbs each, and once we accomplished that through a mostly Atkins type diet, we kept the fasting routine and have also easily maintained our weight loss. We are both almost the same weights were were when we met in high school in 1965, so I have to think the fasting has excellent benefits. We try to eat dinner early around 6 pm, and we don't eat until 10 or 11 the next day. This is quite easy to do on a daily basis.
