I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.

— 2 Timothy 4:1-4 LSB

✝️✝️✝️

Lord, I ask you to please remove the scales from the eyes of those who claim Christianity yet are blind to obvious violation of your law and choose to support evil policies. As you changed my heart and opened my eyes to my own ignorance all those years ago through someone I worked with, help me be somebody else’s “someone.” In Jesus’ name, amen.

John Galt?'s avatar

Can you imagine having a world view 180 degrees opposite of this?

That's what we're up against.

Words Beyond Me-Janice Powell's avatar

I was starkly reminded of this when an old college friend and fellow aviation student with my husband reconnected on Facebook recently. He began making absurdly ignorant comments on my posts, and when I countered them, he blocked me. Comment on my posts then block me? Ok. I have been praying for him.

CeeMcG's avatar

You are a far better person than I am, Janice! 🙏🏻. I would probably stalk said person on their social media profiles and make snarky comments … and then block them in return! 🤣

Words Beyond Me-Janice Powell's avatar

I just hope I never encounter him in the cockpit of a commercial airliner upon which I am flying. He’s a captain. 🙈Good thing I try not to fly. 🤣

Lori's avatar

You are one of God's finest Janice and we all love and admire you.

Words Beyond Me-Janice Powell's avatar

Thank you, Lori, but “all” might be a stretch. 😝

Lori's avatar

I say all bc with hope, even those that are deaf, dumb and blind right now may be moved by your beautiful words. As you have said time and again, God can do anything. Hearts and minds can be moved to the Light.

Although I try hard to stay positive I struggle with the cold weather setting in. I know how important staying positive is and believe it or not I try not to be negative, but last winter my natural gas bill was 1500 dollars per month to heat my 1800 sq. ft. cape style home. Governor Healy this year excepted another 4 large donations from my energy supplier, Eversource, and approved a significant increase for Eversource’s gas and delivery charges, I’m not sure how I can possibly pay even more for Healy’s corrupt greed. Her and the utility companies are a mafia. It’s hard to hear her say how much she’s saved the people of Massachusetts on their utility bills, what a filthy dirty liar. I always pray for people, this year I’ve added a prayer for Gods help that I some how can make ends meet this winter. I feel horrible for people even older than me that have a fixed incomes. I’m afraid Maura Hold It Healy couldn’t care less for them. But enough with my problems.

My Saturday Nice Post

Accepting forgiveness for things that I’ve messed up is always tough for me. Too often I don’t think I deserve it. God sending His Son to forgive us our sins is the most powerful gift ever given to us. We all have to gain the will to accept it and not only accept it but to give it as well, forgiveness is freeing.

I recently came across this story of forgiveness. I hope you like it.

There was an older man that was in and out of a hospital in the Sierra Mountains in California. On a very stormy night he was admitted to what would be his final days.

A nurse at the hospital called her minister at the rectory, Father John Omalley, who said he would make the trip through the flooding wind swept rains. With streets flooded and roads closed, the normally 20 minute drive ended up taking 3 hours.

Father Omalley finally got to the hospital at 3 in the morning and was told the man was not at all friendly and had no family. Father Omalley, as he walked by the room turned and went in. He said excuse me sir I was passing by and thought I’d stop in and see how you’re doing. The man looked up and said it’s 3 in the morning you know I’m dying. Father Omalley said is there anything you need to make right. The man wouldn’t say a word so the Father said some prayers and began to talk about the storm, sports, eventually the man began to join in on the conversation.

3 hours went by and the man finally opened up and said Father I need to get something off my chest. He said 31 years ago I worked as a switch man at a railroad station. It was late at night, 2 days before Christmas, and the crew and I that were on that night were drinking heavily. They needed someone to go out and make the switch so that an incoming freight train would go around and continue North. This man, named Tom, volunteered, went out and accidentally hit the wrong button. The freight train ended up slamming into a passenger car that had stalled on the tracks killing a young couple and their two daughters. He said nobody has ever known what really happened that night. I’ve lived with the guilt and the shame for over 30 years. I’ve never been big enough to admit to the family that it was my fault and how sorry I was. God could never forgive me for what I’ve done.

There was a long pause, Father Omalley took the man’s hand and said Tom the people that were in that car were my parents and my two older sisters, and if I can forgive you God can forgive you as well.

It’s truly amazing how Jesus suffered to take away the sins of man. No mistakes we’ve made are too big for Gods mercy. This is Gods Grace and undeserved favor. Have Faith in God. Hope you all have a blessed Saturday.

J. Goodrich, we too have gas heat, stove and hot water heating. We purchased some tiny electric heaters and we run one in each room, only when we are in the room.

You can, believe it or not, use terracotta flower pots and saucers to heat a room. You place a candle on the terra-cotta saucer, light it and place the pot over it. It is amazing the heat that it puts out.

I pray that the Father “……will provide all your needs according to His riches in Glory through Yeshua, our Lord.”

James Goodrich's avatar

Thank You CStone, I was thinking of the electric heater idea as well. I have seen those small heaters that are plugged directly into the outlet. I may pick a couple up and try it. It couldn’t be any more expensive than what I’m paying. I am blessed and I’m sure God will come through for my family and I.

neener's avatar

We have used those heaters for years as supplemental heat in our largest open area in the house. Very efficient and our little dog lays next to it all the time enjoying the warmth .

Lynne Morris's avatar

I am so sorry for your utility costs and I will try to never complain about mine again. Your positive story is very uplifting. If you have never done so read Mitch Albom's The Five People You Meet in Heaven. It is also a you just never know tale.

CeeMcG's avatar

Thank you for the story, James, that was a 😢 yet uplifting. My sympathies for your heating bill, good grief! Natural gas in California has gotten ridiculous as well so in the winter we have used the electric plug in heaters. Electric blankets or heated mattress pads for beds help a lot at night (granted, we don’t have your level of cold). If you’re on X, I would ask Grok for suggestions - if you tell the AI where you live, it can usually pull utility rates and can even suggest the best models of electric heaters. Blessings and warmth to you. 🙏🏻

Lori's avatar

OK, James, the story got me tearing up. Thanks a lot.

What a beautiful story, no words for that forgiveness.

Lori's avatar

Healey is a demonic monster. A sick twist. A POS. Nothing good will ever come from her or around her. I long for the day she is horizontal so I can piss on her grave.

RunningLogic's avatar

Ugh I am sorry that you are dealing with those exorbitant heating costs, James!! I am very grateful to live where I live and have a reasonable cost of living. Love the terracotta flower pot idea that CStone mentioned. I also like using flannel sheets in the winter so I can keep the temperature low at night and still be warm.

Isn't it crazy how many things that never happen suddenly started to stop once Trump started his 2nd term, while at the same time the very things that were stopped somehow started to "prove" that they were so rare that it wasn't worth the effort to start stopping those things from starting in the first place?

Ok, I'll stop starting more conspiracy theories...

Justin's avatar

If you haven't heard a good rumor by 10 am....

Then start one.

Ryan Gardner's avatar

LOLOLOL.

But times are tough for us "conspiracy theorists" we're down to Flat Earth and dragons at this point.

Steenroid's avatar

If you’ve ever been to the Texas Panhandle it’s obvious the Earth is flat.

Gary's avatar

Yes, the wind keeps it flat! Have you been out there when the Tarantulas are moving!! They cross the roads by the thousands at times. Pretty amazing, however not as cool as dragons would be.

steven t koenig's avatar

I'll vouch for that. Born and raised near Amarillo, falling off the edge was the best thing I ever did

Christine's avatar

Mmmm Dragons! 😃

David Nelson's avatar

The thing about us conspiracy theorists is that "we couldn't think BIG enough" in terms of scale.

Justin's avatar

IKR? Things were so good that the time between conspiracy theory and reality was getting down to weeks.

But stand strong, my fellow tin-foil hatters! (fist raised in the air in solidarity) The democrats will go back in office someday and the world will once again need us to sort out BS from truth. We will rise again, like The Incredibles, don our super suits and

(record scratch)

Wait, who WRITES this stuff???

In my humble opinion your comment wins comment of the day 🍿💎🥰🔥🌟

Gary's avatar

Yes, but if everything was perfect what would Jeff do in the mornings??

Lori's avatar

Ryan, they did exist btw. Just watched a podcast on this by Man in America, Seth Holehouse on dragons and unicorns and other "mythical beasts".

DS's avatar

My Dad always told me there are two kinds of people when it comes to rumors; one who starts them, and one who spreads them.

Justin's avatar

You know, once when running for office, I found myself passing along things that were probably more rumors than fact, and I didn't like myself for that. It was a cheap "currency" to look well connected. Granted, we had a crazy competitor who let her shopping bag dog do the talking for her... And the crazy domestic violence stories with her lesbian partner (same person). And there was more. I feel greasy even suggesting "how could you resist?" But when all was said and done, I had to look in the mirror and admit I didn't like what I saw in my performance.

nancy's avatar

Don't worry, the Liberal left will always do stuff, that when called out, will be considered conspiracy theories. But they end up being truth but never acknowledged. Right now, I am at least 85% on the accuracy scale. At least I know to follow my gut. And as Jeff says, read with an open mind as to intent.

CeCe Brown's avatar

I call myself a conspiracy realist

David Nelson's avatar

FWIW, w/a little help from AI, we learn "conspiracy theories" and "I see a rich crony's pot" are anagrams.

Justin's avatar

David, you crack me up at times with some of the most sarcastic stuff... I just wanted to take a moment to recognize your brilliance.

What I find more amazing, is the "paradox" that many maga supporters now support neocon deep state objectives, or sit idly while they get unrolled.

Justin's avatar

Btw, the apathy of some is appalling, With people thinking they'll let Trump take care of things for us. We all need to put on our britches and get to work. Make it so painful and risky for those trying to criminally subdue us that they think really hard about even trying. We need more accountability and arrests.

Johnny-O's avatar

Speaking of apathy, a commenter down below, in response to someone saying they want to see more arrests and the big fish fry, said we just need to wait. Uh, I'm sorry, but if none of that happened when Trump had both houses - NEWSFLASH - it ain't gonna happen. Which myself and a handful of others have been saying this whole time, and been castigated for it.

Justin's avatar

They paused slightly to regroup, but the effort to censor and control us has renewed. We just have to get up one more time than they throw crap at us. Get rid of the leaders they finance to steal our natural resources and suppress freedom.

It may have to get uglier with them.

Get on to Kalshi and bet everything you can on massive increased majorities for the GOP in the House and the Senate. The polls are BS. The American people love what POTUS has achieved on grocery prices, gas, cost of living and all of his objectives in the war on Iran. A massive red tsunami is coming. Bet everything on GOP victories. You will feel so smart on the day after the midterms.

Did anyone see the Cleveland Ohio post on the excessively long lines of people waiting to get into an OBAMA 😳😬🫨🤯😲 rally !?!?!? Really gotta wonder how at this point of demonrat Obama corruption revelations people are sooooooo blind and ignorant… obviously they only get their “news” and fake polling numbers from the Pedo globe networks… the lowest of the low info voters. 😵🤨😖

Johnny-O's avatar

Both "sides" participate in the pedo global network. Trump admin is actively breaking the law in not releasing all the epstein files. Why?

The Trump deification sufferers are little different than these shitlibs you despise. Blind tribalists who ignore all the bad thing they do and just point and scream at the other "side."

laura-ann Knox's avatar

After being positive about Trump presidencies for, well, a long time, just the other day I started getting black pilled. Despite reports, the economy does not look good down here on the ground. Gas is still at astronomical levels. I can't shop in full-service, top -tier grocery stores any more because they're too expensive, and yes, people's reports of their power bills are crazy.

I'n spite of border control, my town seems much more infested by SNAP-bearing foreigners who insist on driving even though they don't know how.

Help me.

And yes, C&C is the only news I read.

Freedom Fox's avatar

Yes. The polls are BS. Watch the betting, though. The Theft of elections is real. Nothing was done since 2020, not even since 2024 to fix the rigging. The only 'fix' is to make the actual results "too big to rig." That's it. That's all we got. The close ones will get stolen. Even the close ones where the R is (s)elected - that's gonna be a Rino, or else they woulda stole it. Any bettor had better take that into account before they plunk a chunk down on Kalshi.

Johnny-O's avatar

Utterly delusional.

What are "all of his objectives in the war on Iran" that have been accomplished?

Bard Joseph's avatar

Interesting that USAID was being dismantled in early 2025 and that fake pollster registered in Fl in March ‘25. If you are following DataRepublican’s uncovering of the “color revolution “ here, you have to draw the conclusion that this outfit is part of that. As are so many. Part of the playbook is to publish fake polls and have them pushed by willing (undoubtedly paid) media. Jeff gives the MSM a pass as to being lazy or dumb. I give no such leeway. It is intentional and they are as guilty of sedition as all the actors in that fetid mess.

Yesterday I penned a piece called "Remove the Handle". It relayed the story about a simple solution to a cholera epidemic in London. John Snow saw the patterns and narrowed the source of the contagion to a single well. Removing the pump handle caused everyone to go elsewhere for water, stopping the outbreak in its tracks.

This week has been eye-opening for many, though the vast majority will be spared the spectacle, since their web browser and iPhone news feeds neglected to mention it. Try not to hate on the ignorant.

Be like @datarepublican and do the digging using the skills you already possess. The source(s) of the contagion must be located and pump handles need to be removed. This is Patriotism, my friends.

Roger Beal's avatar

Secondary benefit: Pump handles make excellent weapons in close-quarters combat.

Casey Jones's avatar

You might want to look into what happened to Mr Snow.....

Curtis's avatar

I've not read your piece, but it's important to know that "the science" refused to acknowledge Snow's actual discovery, and removed the pump handle only to placate and silence him, allowing thousands more to die from cholera due to polluted water.

Sherrylyn Young's avatar

My take on the fake polls. They are used to justify the fake results when elections are stolen.

william howard's avatar

if democrats can put a person in jail for reposting a meme (election interference) shouldn’t republicans be able to put a fake pollster

Bard Joseph's avatar

Or to think that voting counts.

Johnny-O's avatar

Bingo!

Isn't it amazing, that pretty much everyone here agrees that elections are stolen via electronic voting machines/tech, yet they buy into the narrative that its all the illegal voting that steals elections?

Proberta's avatar

Remember when Abortion was the Conservative political trigger to whip the followers into a frenzy?

Ever since Trump said he would veto any abortion restrictions, Abortion has become a political non-issue!

Now its election fraud and illegal immigrants used to incite the troops.

Johnny-O's avatar

Yes, everyone is being primed for a challenged election. Dipshit Mike Johnson, who many here used to rightfully think was a deep state neocon, has already not held votes to seat people, so I'm sure he won't hesitate to do that again.

Mass civil unrest in our future? Perhaps. All because Trump has started a destructive, wasteful, and harmful war for another country. Yet he is the 10D chess master! He is going to get crushed by a horrible horrible criminally corrupt party, yet he is some genius. Effing clown town around here.

All polls are propaganda.

All of them.

Johnny-O's avatar

You guys sing a different tune about polls, economic numbers, etc when they align with what you want to hear. When not, they are fake news!

Primum non nocere's avatar

Nope. I consider all polls paid propaganda. Dont care if its Dem, Rep or Ind polls.

Its all a means to alter voter turnout.

Its nothing more than a pre-election psyop that serves to convince the public elections are preordained and that an election outcome that validates the polling in turn legitimizes the polling process

Johnny-O's avatar

Well, elections are pre-ordained as long as we continue to use electronic voting.

Primum non nocere's avatar

Yep.

My entire point.

Electronic elections guarantee election outcomes.

Political polling preps the public psyche before the elections so that the preordained outcome is accepted by the masses.

Example:

Democrat is preordained to win.

Since its a "competitive" district then the polling must reflect that. The State ran media in turn Mockingbirds the polling.

Pre-"election" polling shows Republican up by 1 point.

One week before election its a "statistical tie" and the Republican lead is "within the margin of polling error"

Democrat wins by 0.1%

Everyone "accepts" election result because polling said it would be close.

However, the Democrat was going to win regardless.

The election cycle and polling is simply the circus side show to distract and mislead the public
