Sometimes what we think are small gestures of acceptance, that are forced on us, or being told this is normal behavior, or just go along with it, turn into some of the biggest issues in our lives. We seem to be tested every day, undercurrents slowly move us, subtlety pushed, nudged, little by little until we wake up one day and we see all of these small manipulations have turn into, take it or lose your job. It’s become very obvious there are certain groups that do these things to us to just see if we will allow it, how far can we push these common folk? Bad company surely corrupts good character. You know how medical staff, doctors, nurses, etc., at hospitals, were forced to take experimental injections like it or not. Or I’m sure you’ve heard about states allowing men into the ladies locker rooms and showers. Well I can tell you this takes place now.
My wife and her co workers are forced to allow an intact man, cross dresser, into their locker room where they change. As uncomfortable and abusive that this is no one can say a word or you will be fired for discrimination. Most every nurse in that locker room is completely uncomfortable and against this policy of being forced to change in front of a strange man. Slowly over time this manipulation became policy and if you speak up your fired. I’m not sure why the upper people in the hospital, let’s take the director of nursing is not forced to get undressed in front of this man as a gesture, showing that she is on board with forcing females to be abused in this way. If it’s such a good policy I think all of the management, directors, coordinators etc. should be forced to undress in front of this man with make up fake hair and fake breasts. Does my being uncomfortable not have the same stature as a man with gender dysphoria who says he’s uncomfortable changing in the men’s locker room. Do children that have major or minor procedures done need this type of controversial situation thrown in front of them while getting a procedure done?

I (now retired), was self employed (realtor) so when I say I agree I will be honest in saying I was not in a position to need to quit a job ... realtors could still do their jobs but with ridiculous rules (I lived in SoCal then with some of the worst covid restrictions) .... so I can't speak to making a choice if in that situation your wife and daughter were BUT I would like to think I would have quit. I boycott by my non-presence and non-support, many things these days....now living in a small coastal town in Oregon, one of THE worst states in this nation. It gets easier all the time. I MUST STAND FOR TRUTH. In my head I literally imagine what I would do if someone came up to me, pointed a gun at my head and said "Do you believe in God?" I practice the YES. As horrific as that sounds, I would enter into the presence of God immediately if they pulled the trigger. We know that already goes on in many parts of the world. I was a nurse (LPN) back in the old days (early 1990’s) and took a break to have a baby and stay home for a few years, but ended up having 4 babies (staying home for 17 years) and never returned to nursing. I realize now that I could NOT be a nurse in today’s world…so sad.
You are exactly right!! Stand together and quit! The hospital can’t afford to lose their nurses! Nurses are in high demand as it is. These women have more power than they know I said the same thing during Covid. If everyone in a company that was forcing vaccination quit in mass, the company would have to relent. They can’t afford to lose their people. It would cost them a fortune look for replacements and rehire them.
A lot of these nurses have families, kids, and they provide the benefits through the hospital for their family. Many of them including their family have medical issues so again they are forced to comply with these authoritarian policies. This guy is an anesthesiologist so it also could be looked at as an issue of status! Pretty much he’s a doctor and from what I understand he’s not very good.
Again, they are not forced. There are plenty of other employers. We are a country filled with excuses about why we don't do the right thing - why others fight our battles for us. Re just get another job -- In S Oregon there is basically one hospital organization that controls the facilities in Ashland, Medford and Grants Pass. I do not know their policies but if someone were to quit, there is NOT another similar job that can be obtained without moving a fair distance. Lori--I wish it were so simple for the nurses to organize and quit. I have a story: I was once a part of a group of doctors who organized and quit an HMO. I think we all had the best of intentions at that time. But what happened next, I never saw coming. The HMO administrator went individually and secretly to each of the doctors and offerred them a HUGE sum of money to see the HMO patients. It was just too inticing, and when many of the doctors agreed, the whole boycott failed. The HMO administrators had come to me and offerred me the same deal, and I had stuck to my guns, thinking all the other doctor would too, but not everyone is the same as me. And once the HMO had enough doctor on board, everything reverted back to what it had been, with all the same problems. So you can see how the nurses might fear the consequences of trying to do the right thing.
If you live in fear, nothing will ever get done. For one's sanity and dignity, you quit if there is a man in the women's locker room. No more excuses, no more wait and see. We have waited too long and are now seeing what is happening to all of us.

There's enough of a nursing shortage that your wife likely has many other options. Speaking up and getting fired might lead to a large bolus income down the road, but might slow down the ability to get another job by a month or 2. If she quietly leaves for another job, she has the option of going back to the prior employer when attrition causes them wise up and create a separate locker room for the person who wants to be a girl.
Nearly 4 years ago, I was able to leave the practice of pharmacy entirely by living simply and cutting expenses by 2/3. This also cut tax payments to the IRS by a great deal. (My opinion of the FDA remains very low).
(Years ago, I had been fired for doing-no-harm, and it took 3 months to get another pharmacy job, because I told the prospective employers that I had been fired and the manner in which I would continue to do-no-harm, so as to assure a good match.)

These women have more power than they know I said the same thing during Covid. If everyone in a company that was forcing vaccination quit in mass, the company would have to relent. A lot of these nurses have families, kids, and they provide the benefits through the hospital for their family. Many of them including their family have medical issues so again they are forced to comply with these authoritarian policies. This guy is an anesthesiologist so it also could be looked at as an issue of status! Pretty much he’s a doctor and from what I understand he’s not very good.
Again, they are not forced. There are plenty of other employers. We are a country filled with excuses about why we don't do the right thing - why others fight our battles for us. It is why we find ourselves here. These attitudes lead to societal and national collapse. People must stop looking for a hero "out there" and find it within themselves. There are only so many Pierre Korys, Paul Mariks, Mark Trozzis and countless other healthcare workers. People should ask themselves, "What if I were fired?" Their answer would be they'd make it work.
Re just get another job -- In S Oregon there is basically one hospital organization that controls the facilities in Ashland, Medford and Grants Pass. I do not know their policies but if someone were to quit, there is NOT another similar job that can be obtained without moving a fair distance. If you have a family this would not be a simple process.
A doctor is changing with the nurses? They have their own rarefied places to change.

I do very much agree that the time has come for us to take a stand. Even if inconvenient. If we do not? What are we supporting? All it takes for evil to prevail is for good men/women to say nothing. All walk into the hospital admin's office, tell him or her why and leave their badges on the desk and walk out in unison. Those nurses will be hired someplace else very quickly. Lori--I wish it were so simple for the nurses to organize and quit. I have a story: I was once a part of a group of doctors who organized and quit an HMO. I think we all had the best of intentions at that time. But what happened next, I never saw coming. The HMO administrator went individually and secretly to each of the doctors and offerred them a HUGE sum of money to see the HMO patients. It was just too inticing, and when many of the doctors agreed, the whole boycott failed. The HMO administrators had come to me and offerred me the same deal, and I had stuck to my guns, thinking all the other doctor would too, but not everyone is the same as me. And once the HMO had enough doctor on board, everything reverted back to what it had been, with all the same problems. So you can see how the nurses might fear the consequences of trying to do the right thing.
If you live in fear, nothing will ever get done. For one's sanity and dignity, you quit if there is a man in the women's locker room. No more excuses, no more wait and see. We have waited too long and are now seeing what is happening to all of us.

In the letters, ask President Trump and Ms. Levitt to "please keep their names anonymous" or simply sign the letters anonymously to protect their jobs from the reptilian authoritarians in charge.

Every hospital is desperate for nurses. Maybe a new job in a different hospital is on the horizon for your wife? If it were me, I'd have already walked out. We must STAND UP for what we believe in!
There's enough of a nursing shortage that your wife likely has many other options. Speaking up and getting fired might lead to a large bolus income down the road, but might slow down the ability to get another job by a month or 2. If she quietly leaves for another job, she has the option of going back to the prior employer when attrition causes them wise up and create a separate locker room for the person who wants to be a girl.
Nearly 4 years ago, I was able to leave the practice of pharmacy entirely by living simply and cutting expenses by 2/3. This also cut tax payments to the IRS by a great deal. (My opinion of the FDA remains very low).
(Years ago, I had been fired for doing-no-harm, and it took 3 months to get another pharmacy job, because I told the prospective employers that I had been fired and the manner in which I would continue to do-no-harm, so as to assure a good match.)

They won’t , can’t fire everyone- too bad the nurses being harassed can’t stick together & demand this stop. Agree. I was talking with my liberal 45 year old son last weekend about Fauci. He in essence said the hearing was a joke and Fauci was being persecuted. I asked him if he had read the “diaries”, he admitted he had not. I suggested he do so, but I am sure he will not. He believes the news, and thinks his parents are conspiracy theorists and just old conservatives.
My sis in law is the same way. They use the fact that they consider it "politically motivated" by Paul or a "personal vendetta" to keep their heads in the proverbial sand and refuse to actually look at the rapidly mounting evidence against Fauci.
