That is such a load of BS about rural people needing NPR for weather alerts or PBS for their kids to learn to count 🙄🙄🙄 When I was a kid growing up in a rural area, we couldn’t even get PBS unless we had cable (which was outside our budget so we didn’t have it). And yet somehow, even without access to Sesame Street, I managed to learn to count just fine 🙄

Also it’s so funny how NPR and PBS despise and have nothing but contempt for rural people but now they’re trying to make us believe they really care about them 🙄🙄🙄 Oh please 🙄

Annie's avatar

But de-funding PBS and NPR will "kill" people! 😉 This from a group of people who wholly support the killing of the unborn up to and including during birth. Perhaps if they view this "killing" as a post-birth abortion, then they could support it.

RunningLogic's avatar

Yeah killing people is okay with them as long as it’s on their terms (vaccine mandates, hospital protocols, abortion, etc).

Alan Devincentis's avatar

You forgot White people.

RunningLogic's avatar

I didn’t include it because no one can define it 😑

AND ONLY 9 BILLION??? WITH A B!!!

rolandttg's avatar

Or to harvest andrenochrome. I plan to start asking ' tards if they are pedophiles, or just pedophile enablers? Ignorance is not the same as innocence, especially their ubiquitous willful ignorance so fully embraced by my satanic sister in law.

Robin Landry's avatar

Brilliant. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Donna in MO's avatar

I saw Lisa Murkowski tweet something to that effect when they issued a tsunami warning off in the Aleutian islands after the earthquake. She got ratio'd on X big time.

Annie's avatar

She's a turd. 💩

Ray Bob's avatar

Annie, I think that's very unnecessary and rude, to compare a sitting United States Senator, to a turd. There's absolutely no need to insult turds, by saying they are the same as this useless piece of human garbage. This filthy bitch stinks so bad, that an open sewer pit on a Hot August day, smells like Chanel Number 5, compared to this stinking dirty lying filthy useless piece of garbage. Oh s*** I just insulted garbage😅

Merry McIntyre's avatar

Ray, you have no trouble at all expressing how you feel. 🤣🤣

RunningLogic's avatar

She really is. I’m sure she has zero regard for rural people unless it’s for her own opportunistic purposes 😡

Graham's avatar

That's their modus operandi!

rolandttg's avatar

'tard. RINO extraordinaire.

Truth Seeker's avatar

why candy coat it?

Susan Clack's avatar

Well....I have to chime in here. Up in Alaska, the remote Aleut/native villages use Public Radio as their lifeline to the outside world. My cousin in Homer works very closely with one village that has a public broadcasting radio station there, and it IS the only source of Intel to the surrounding area (millions af acres, dare I say ..) so as much as I detest Sen Murkowsji, she was most likely telling the truth. The guy in charge of the station up in the Bush is very concerned that they'll lose their lifeline to the outside world. Too bad they hitched their wagon to a Leftist Star.

Donna in MO's avatar

Wow, thanks for letting me know. That being said, I don't think the public radio stations are going to go away, they just won't get Fed $.

RunningLogic's avatar

Well I’m guessing there are other possibilities. Or they can just fund that part themselves. Murkowski probably has enough money to do it on her own even but naturally wants the taxpayers to fund it instead.

Also thanks for the local view, I always appreciate when people give relevant additional information on these topics.

Cousin Clem's avatar

Subscription and not cheap.

Truth Seeker's avatar

Even if that is true, it is but an opportunity for a much better station to emerge. Concern is one thing, reality another. NPR has been so terrible for so long there is no way to defend it as it circles the bowl.

M Bagwell's avatar

I believe there is a way they can set up a satellite link to stations in Anchorage or Fairbanks for outside info or emergency notifications. Also can have emergency alerts broadcast from the National Weather Service that are supposed to be operational even without cellular coverage. I wonder if Elon will provide Starlink access until something is worked out.

Frank's avatar

NPR won't fund rural areas. 😢☹️

Susan Clack's avatar

Oops, fat fungers with Murkowski's name ☝🏼☝🏼☝🏼

LMWC's avatar

They never get the connection.

Deb's avatar

Oh, I think they do "get the connection." They want to see if anyone will be brave enough to stand up to their deceitful lies! If no one does, they push forward!!!!! All in the name is saving humanity!!!!

Lori's avatar

I agree 1000%.

Gym+Fritz's avatar

There’s something about NPR, & especially the CEO, that reminds me of that old Paul Simon song verse: “they’d kill you if they could”.

Matt & Walter did a terrific session, yesterday, on NPR, so much cringe.

rolandttg's avatar

Hell. They tried. And did kill countless thousands in kill centers, formally known as hospitals. And wanted to kill a lot more in FEMA camps. Remember Biden's threat to go door to door to ensure jab uptake?

Janet's avatar

I do. I remember checking my pistol was handy. But figured they didn’t have authority to get into my house if I didn’t open the door. I didn’t answer the doorbell for quite some time after that. Email me, jackboots.

Truth Seeker's avatar

20 million dead from Covidiocy, a much larger # disabled

Hardly over. Virus of the month club still has signups.

Thank Big P and the Medical Cartel, the delivery boys.

RunningLogic's avatar

Ugh he’s such a creep!!! 😡

Donna Oliphint's avatar

And THEY literally killed grandma in nursing homes during Covid and with the jabs. My husband (80 years old)has just gone into a rehab facility to recover from brain bleeds, and they questioned us regarding Covid, tetanus, pneumonia and RSV vaccinations. Our answers were no, and one whispered good for 5 years after the pneumonia question. So why do they push every year for a vaccine that doesn’t do much anyway?$?

RunningLogic's avatar

For sure 😡

They killed more than grandma, my 53 year old brother in a rehab facility for a broken leg was killed because of the lockdowns too 😡 Medical neglect which nobody could anything about because there was no access to patients by outsiders 😡

Elaine Russky's avatar

That's a genuine nightmare. I'm so sorry for this senseless loss.

RunningLogic's avatar

Thank you. I keep telling the story because so many people don’t realize that a lot more innocent people were harmed than most think.

laura-ann Knox's avatar

Nothing short of a taze could have kept me from breaking into a nursing home and dragging a relative out, if I'd had one in there.

RunningLogic's avatar

My elderly parents went through enough grief and guilt as it was. They didn’t realize that he was in as bad of shape as he was, and to what extent the people at the facility had lied to them. It’s easy to say stuff like that when you weren’t there and didn’t experience it. I was a day's drive away and couldn’t get there in time to help. The facility sent my brother to the hospital finally but it was too late. My parents saw him leave in an ambulance and that was it, he passed away by the time they got to the hospital.

ETA:

This was also in late March 2020 just a short time after the lockdowns started.

The Great Resist's avatar

I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s all the more painful to accept when it didn’t have to happen. I’m so angry on behalf of everyone harmed and their loved ones. Sadly, medical “care” continues to harm and kill people today. My 86yo dad was at a rehab hospital last December after patella tendon surgery when he was dropped by someone who tried to cover it up and denied it when it was reported. The drop resulted in a catastrophic injury. My dad has had multiple extensive painful surgeries trying to repair the leg that was damaged, but every medical facility has some doctor or nurse or aide who is negligent and/or incompetent, leading to more complications and “setbacks”. They finally had to amputate my dad’s leg mid-thigh a few days ago. He begs anyone who comes in his room to shoot him. If I could get my hands on that incompetent fool who dropped him… and all the others who contributed to this result. I sincerely believe that a lot of medical staff have been mentally damaged by the shots, and no longer have good sense.

Elaine Russky's avatar

That must have been terrible for them. At that time, most people didn't realize how treacherous it was (is) to go to a hospital.

NAB's avatar

March 2020 have been the worst time to try and get him out of a facility. Even assuming the best about the people running those places, they had collectively lost any sense of reason and proportionality. It would have taken an almost-armed force of rescue personnel to get him out of the nursing home. I am so sorry, RL. So, so, sorry. And your poor parents. It will haunt them forever, I'm sure.

If not too personal a question - what was the cause of death listed on your brother's death certificate?

Truth Seeker's avatar

I realize it is difficult to hear. Virus as agents of infectious disease DO NOT EXIST.

There are more details than you care to know. The vaxs now quaxs (mRNA) do plenty, including myocarditis and turbo cancer... and its deliberate.

Elaine Russky's avatar

Before mRNA, what do you think it really was, that was blamed on a virus? A chemical?

Truth Seeker's avatar

You are asking an enormous question. In the case of polio, the "resurgence" is linked to arsenic based pesticides. Every disease and breakout has different mechanism. Virus is a catch all word, no one has ever seen, isolated, or proven to cross infect. (Kochs postulates)

Time mag. about every 2 years trots out the latest "virus" hysteria.

Seeing about 10 (dated), covers next to each other illustrates the point.

Elaine Russky's avatar

I know; I've read some of Cowan's book. I probably just don't have enough scientific knowledge to appreciate it. It's always been a mystery how they can distinguish bacterial from viral as a cause.

Gary's avatar

can you imagine how lucky we would be if HRC's mother had her beliefs. And many other people would still be here. So ironic all the ones that like the abortions are here to promote the killing. Guess they don't see the big picture! HA!

Kenpowoman's avatar

That takes a self-reflection most are unwilling/incapable of taking, which is what enables them to continue to wreak their damage.

What's funny to me is that rural people can smell the weather change, feel it in their joints. And they've lived it for generations. Rural people depend on each other, not on talking heads on national media. You gotta really be out of touch to believe that comedy.

Robin Greer's avatar

In our area, it's much more reliable to look out the window. You can see approaching storms and you can smell the rain in the air.

RunningLogic's avatar

And feel the pressure changes.

NAB's avatar

Definitely. I fell on my face a few years ago when out for a run and developed what became known as a "face ache." I can feel the fronts coming in now (probably related to traumatic injury to my sinuses).

RunningLogic's avatar

Ouch that sounds super painful 😞

Lori's avatar

And watch how the animals react too as their senses are very keen.

Margaret Allison's avatar

That’s what we used to do when I was a child! Look outside. Mom knew! I am grateful for weather radios but we don’t need these 2 (NPR PBS)telling us anything!!!

NAB's avatar

We used to read a children's book called "Berenstain Bears and Too Much TV" to our kids. In it, Mama Bear decides they need a break from TV. When Papa Bear asks, "how will I know what the weather will be like?" she (somewhat contemptuously) answers, "it's called, putting your hand out the window."

Truth Seeker's avatar

Amish friend of 28 years used to look at the sky and matter of fact say that it would rain Friday so he would plant his cover crop Thurs. City folk assume rural dwellers are bumpkins. Often they see what others do not...

Paige Green's avatar

We have a different set of skills that urban folks do not, and that they abhor. In Polymarket betting, guess who would come out the winners in a Zombie Apocalypse? Not the person who pays for a mechanic or needs their daily Starbucks 😂

Robin Landry's avatar

They also watch their animals.

Kat's avatar

I’m wondering why the animals in Yellowstone are hightailing out of the park? I’m thinking maybe a big earthquake??

Kenpowoman's avatar

That story was later reported to be untrue. NOTE: I understand that Snopes is not always the most reliable source but it appears to be the only place that checked on this.

Listen to the birds. When they go quiet, the storm is about to hit. When they start back up with their chatter I know the worst has passed, even if there’s still thunder and lightning seen and heard.

Elaine Russky's avatar

It's not just rural people who know when the weather is about to change. We city folk have that ability, too. It's the arthritis that speaks the loudest.

DJL's avatar

☝️☝️☝️ yes. Common freakin’ sense. Which is what leftist idiots lack

Dr Linda's avatar

Agreed! We get a PBS station where I live that is several hundred miles from where I live. It is not local. Their weather information is almost irrelevant to our “city”, I am rural.

Jeff S's avatar

I get all my weather from GUTFELD!

kittynana's avatar

@Dr. Linda- we live 15 miles north of Buffalo (Niagara Falls area on the Canadian border). When 'Buffalo' gets hit with snow our familes always ask how much we got and if we're ok. Buffalo rarely gets hit with that kind of snow- it's south of Buffalo which is why it's called Ski Country. We don't get snow unless it's coming off Lake Ontario or it's a general, all over snow fall. Same with rain. The southern tier of NY gets rain all the time. We hardly get it.

Jeff Lebowski's avatar

I was once snowed in at a friend’s house in Buffalo in a lake effect blizzard with three feet of snow. Two blocks away it was no more than a dusting.

NAB's avatar

Yep. Welcome to the land of "snow bands."

Jeff Lebowski's avatar

No more. 55 years of ADK and Rochester winters, left it in 2017, never going back. For more reasons than the crap weather.

Alan Devincentis's avatar

Erie is horrid for snow until the lake freezes.

kittynana's avatar

@Alan- which is what caused the Blizzard of '77. The lake froze over and there were around 3" of snow on the lake which all blew eastward.

Kenpowoman's avatar

I lived through the Blizzard of'77 in Massachusetts, too.

kittynana's avatar

@Ken- good times! not

NAB's avatar

We had two kids go to Hillsdale College in Michigan which required us to travel from Rochester NY. The drive required us to basically follow Lake Erie's shore line. Trips around Thanksgiving and Christmas were always a crapshoot (typically pretty awful, actually) with my husband experiencing "thunder snow" several times. I'm kind of thankful my youngest was waitlisted there because that drive was awful.

Elaine Russky's avatar

What's Niagara Falls like? I've been there only one time, when I was three years old. Has it deteriorated like other towns have?

kittynana's avatar

@Elaine- yes, unfortunately. The city has been hit hard. But the falls themselves are stunning. We usually tell people to go to the Canadian side if they're looking for clean, family fun. The American side has the raw nature of the falls.

Elaine Russky's avatar

That's interesting. Same things on the Canadian side as on the U.S. side? Hotels and tourist stuff?

kittynana's avatar

@Elaine- the Canadian side has more to offer in hotels and entertainment.

Judith Arnold's avatar

We live in South Buffalo so unfortunately we are usually in the snow belt!

kittynana's avatar

@Judith- yup. We're in Lewiston, above the hill, and rarely get it.

RunningLogic's avatar

I grew up not too far from you both! But in the boonies 😁

kittynana's avatar

@Running- where? I grew up in Wellsville.

NAB's avatar

And you guys get smacked as early as October sometimes!

Dr Linda's avatar

I assume that weather is predicted anyway?

kittynana's avatar

@Dr.- Mostly but not always. A few years ago Buffalo proper and just south got absolutely destroyed by a surprise October snow storm. Then a couple of years ago they got hit again the day before Christmas. Our granddaughter lived in the city of Buffalo at the time and our daughter lived just 12 minutes south of us. Granddaughter was LITERALLY snowed in and there was a travel ban but daughter was able to sneak onto the Thruway and make it for Christmas Day. Granddaughter didn't ge out for days because it was a side street and they're always the last to be cleared.

RunningLogic's avatar

That was also the case for my family.

Janet's avatar

I didn’t even know that PBS or NPR does weather. That’s how little I watched it. The only thing that interests me on PBS are the archaeology programs like Egyptology or digging up ancient humans stuff. Suspicious of the other science programs now and I can get masterpiece streamed.

happyinfl's avatar

I had never heard of NPR before last year 🤣

Janet's avatar

I used to listen to some decent music programs at night on the area university station driving home from visiting my mom. I found the repetitive nature of NPR programs and news during the day very annoying and quit listening long ago.

RunningLogic's avatar

They’re just the *wrong* kind of “whites” 🤷‍♀️ Not “allies” or otherwise people who can be used to achieve their political ends. People who don’t want or need big government.

Peter Schott's avatar

We actually did get PBS/NPR over antenna, but it was never completely clear. But those days were quite different when the kid's shows _were_ educational and not pure propaganda. Their news was relatively balanced - maybe partly because of the "fairness" doctrine. And they did have a lot of local people able to have some low-budget show to inform/entertain. Those days are past, but I will give them credit for what they did 40-50 years back. And had they stuck to that sort of thing without pushing their crazy views on the country, the budget cuts wouldn't have come up.

But "weather alerts" from PBS/NPR? Nope. Click & Clack, perhaps, but not weather.

RunningLogic's avatar

Click and Clack were the best!!

Jeff S's avatar

Yeah, they were funny and informative. I learned a lot from them about life and cars: I should work on the one, but not the other.

RunningLogic's avatar

Yes the combination of humor and common sense was excellent! Entertaining and informative!

We also watched PBS over antennae, but the only times it was worth watching was during the fund raising drive. They put on their best shows and you had to endure 15-20 minute fund raising ads in the middle of the shows. I've lived without PBS for the last 15 years, so I'm not really concerned. Oh, and I never turned no their kid shows. We didn't watch TV during the daytime when the kids were young.

SeeingTruth's avatar

Fabulous comment, and adding on.

Recall NPR's CEO complaining that the government going after NPR/PBS was about "viewpoint discrimination". Guess karma's a b.....

RunningLogic's avatar

And she tried to say they weren’t biased but people had the receipts to show that was a lie!

Ya....we all had the receipts!!!

Great logic! Yes they "care" so much about donations and mind-control, that's it. You are living up to your name (:

Mary Ann Caton's avatar

NPR hates rural America just as much as Hillary and Barack did. No one in rural America wants to hear a book about looting discussed from the perspective that looting is an approved way to redistribute wealth.

Jeff S's avatar

USAID = wealth redistribution.

Ruth's avatar

There was a program on a few weeks ago about “small” farmers trying to run farms. They were in different parts of the US, but the emphasis was on the fact it was 2 lesbians and how they met, went to college and hooked up, and repeatedly talking about how community was accepting (or not) of their lifestyle. None of that had to do with farming.

Mary Ann Caton's avatar

In News of the Idiots Among Us, New York's state legislature is thinking about restricting the number of cows that farmers will be allowed to have. Idiots from the cities probably think that their beef originates in a back room in the grocery store.

Glitterpuppy's avatar

Who the hell is going to go out and count the cows? 🐄 great job for NY politicians

Mary Ann Caton's avatar

I can see it now: NY politicians in their suits with clipboards, making tick marks every time they see a cow. Sounds like it could be an episode on "Green Acres."

NAB's avatar

I cannot believe how NY politicians continue to destroy what is a beautiful state. It just breaks my heart.

Mary Ann Caton's avatar

The only thing they have is better highways than we have in Pennsylvania, oh and Wegmans.

I hate to break it to them, but our nephew and his family just bought an Amish farm in Missouri, and, gasp!, it has indoor plumbing! Including tub, toilet, and sink! All in the same room.

Mrs. "the Knife"

RunningLogic's avatar

A lot of things depend on the order they belong to. Some are stricter than others.

St. Alia the Knife's avatar

That is a very good point; our nephew was able to purchase the farm because the owners were moving to join another Amish group in Wisconsin that is apparently more conservative than their group had become.

Mrs. "the Knife"

Note: Our nephew sends us Zillow listings for properties around them.

RunningLogic's avatar

Where I grew up, there was a lot of farmland, much of it abandoned between the early part of the century and the 70s. The Amish started moving into the area in the 80s, buying those farms, and my family had quite a few interactions with the Amish, so we learned a great deal from them.

I once wrote a letter to the NPR headquarters telling them of my accomplishment of deleting their local affiliate from my car radio after they aired a particularly heinous piece.

A year or two before, I laughed at one of their pieces about climate change and the person they were interviewing was too honest, and the NPR interviewer would have none of that, and made 4-5 attempts to rephrase the question and get the RIGHT answer they wanted. The scientist just kept producing the data that did not support the global warming agenda. The interviewer quickly wound down the interview afterwards.

RunningLogic's avatar

So typical of them!

schneile's avatar

How would a NYT writer know or care what happens in rural areas--those places filled with "smelly Walmart people"?

RunningLogic's avatar

Who are, as they term them “magats”—just a bunch of bigoted, racist, backward, uneducated people 🙄🙄🙄

Mike's avatar

DOn't forget...ARMED!

RunningLogic's avatar

Yes another reason they don’t like rural people!

Elaine Russky's avatar

I was a rural person until I left home at age 18. Both parents worked in town. I went to school in town. We weren't as alienated from society as people might suppose. My mother didn't go outside to the great country outdoors to commune with nature because their was no air conditioning and she didn't like to get dirt on her shoes.

CStone's avatar

There was a line in between frames and all it said was “Do brain supplements really work?”

I laughed so hard😂

Was it an ad or snark added by the author of the column?

I don’t know. And I don’t care.

It is funny!!!

RunningLogic's avatar

They’re just random ads I am pretty sure, but that one happened to be perfectly placed I guess 😁😆

The Great Resist's avatar

I love how the NYT reporter thinks NPR/PBS steps up and replaces the local newspaper: “Large parts of rural America already have no local newspaper, so a local NPR station may be the only source of news, of information about school snow days…” The small town I grew up in had (and still has) a newspaper — once a week. That sure helped inform us about school snow days! 🙄

I have no idea what radio station in my area is NPR. I’ve made the very rural drive between North Texas and West Texas a hundred times, and never once found an NPR station when scanning AM and FM for something to listen to (back in the days before satellite radio or streaming tunes). I used to love watching classic BBC sitcoms on PBS: Fawlty Towers, Are You Being Served, Keeping Up Appearances, My Hero. I would still watch them now, except they haven’t been available on PBS in years, at least not on my local affiliate. There’s absolutely nothing on PBS I would watch now.

Elaine Russky's avatar

Do you think newspapers were replaced by the internet, or at least took an electronic form when the internet became ubiquitous?

JW's avatar

NEXT....The View gets cancelled. Way overdue.

Annie's avatar

Agree 💯 Colbert show should be pulled now. Not May 2026. These progs are ridiculous. If his show had enough viewers he wouldn't be canceled. What it is showing is there's less people who identify as progs. They were always the loudest gas bags.

Willing Spirit's avatar

Little known fact-Stephen Colbert (coal-bear) grew up being Steve (coal-Burt).

His parents are/were Mr. and Mrs. Coal-Burt.

For some reason, he frenchified his name for t.v.

There is probably a backstory or inside joke that explains how it came about but I was never a daily viewer and didn’t care enough to know (even then it was a biased show, albeit on a teenage humor level).

schneile's avatar

Yup. My cousin married a guy named Colbert. That's exactly how they pronounce it: Col-bert.

Lisa Ca's avatar

LOL!!! Frenchified!

Elaine Russky's avatar

Close to "frenchifried."

Jon Stephenson's avatar

When Colbert took over the Late Show in 2015, for several months that fall, I thought he was actually good. He wasn't overtly partisan and had a good time mocking the gazillion Republican and Democrat primary candidates, most of whom were ridiculous and easily mocked. Over 50% of his jokes were non political, many quite funny.

When the primary process was over, he did lots of anti trump jokes but still did a lot of non-political stuff. When Trump won, his brain broke same as most of the media and he became 100% political and unwatchable.

In the days of Carson, Leno and Letterman, I was a big late night show watcher. When Colbert flipped, I weaned myself of the habit. Now I can't imagine wasting time on that stuff.

pretty-red, old guy's avatar

yep, me too.

Carson was the one, downhill after that.

Remi Steele's avatar

Agreed. He and Stewart were funny when they 1st started, and then TDS took hold...

PapayaSF's avatar

I gave up on Stewart long before Trump came along. Back in the Obama years it seemed like his writers were actually the DNC Humor Department, with an annoying fake evenhandedness. Republicans were terrible for everything, and Democrats were terrible for not standing up to Republicans.

Here’s my concern: the Constitution specifically identifies what constitutes treason against the United States and, importantly, limits the offense of treason to only two types of conduct: (1) “levying war” against the United States; or (2) “adhering to [the] enemies [of the United States], giving them aid and comfort.” They specifically narrowed the definition to keep people from invoking it simply to hurt their political opposition.

I worry they can easily escape actual “treason” charges given how narrowly our founders wrote that.

So wouldn’t this be better labeled a crime of “seditious conspiracy”, “rebellion/insurrection”, or “advocating overthrow of government”? The specific identifications of those crimes more accurately describe what they did. One of them would be much harder to escape than a “treason” charge.

Edit: this is the webpage I got my info from. After the definition of treason each of the others is defined below that in its own paragraph. https://uscode.house.gov/view.xhtml?path=/prelim@title18/part1/chapter115&edition=prelim

Jeremiah Davidson's avatar

For the sake of those of us who believe in God, I would like to say that maybe we shouldn’t be so concerned about consequences in this life for these evil people, but more, I’m thinking, we should be satisfied that what was whispered in secret is shouted from the Internet, and what was done in the dark is brought into the LIGHT.

God can handle the rest of it.

Juju's avatar

I’ve been thinking more like this lately. After so many lies and deceitfulness hurting so many, having the truth known by all is sufficient for me. The truth (God) will take care of the rest. Witnessing justice is always nice, but I care more that the truth is broadcast around the world.

Juliann's avatar

Concerned mom's avatar

My prayers in the last 6 years have included: "Lord, expose the darkness and their evil works" AND once that started happening, first with CVD, the sexual exploitation of the innocent, and then with the other evils of the global elite (which Obummer, Killary, et al are part of) then my prayers also included: "Lord, bring justice to all the unjust, evil things they have done"

I believe we will see justice served for many of the unrighteous things we have been oppressed by and made to suffer.

To God be all Glory, Honor and Power!

Jeremiah Davidson's avatar

Yeah, I didn’t say that we should not prosecute these evil people, but that our concern should be more about exposing the truth to the light. We need to put the truth out in the street where people can deal with it, and then perhaps stop the future BS that’s sure to come if we continue to be unaware of it, and who it is that’s doing it. (e.g.,IC)

As far as your point about the effect of prosecuting criminals, I offer you one simple example; prosecuting murderers has not stopped future murderers from killing people. However, I am not saying that we should not prosecute murderers (or people who brutalize our children). Personally, I think prosecution is too good for them, but until men are willing to bring the type of justice that these people deserve, (“Whoever sheds man’s blood, by man his blood shall be shed” gen9:6) we have to rely on God to handle it.

Ruth H's avatar

Good points made on treason, even though it feels like treason when a current president goes after the newly elected president. DOJ will most likely go with conspiracy charges that do not have a time limit and can be applied to all involved. DOJ needs to add more names to this conspiracy charge and go after every single one (esp Hillary, Strozk, Page), but Tulsi named some big ones.

Elaine Russky's avatar

I came up with a list of who I recall being involved in the Russia hoax. It was longer than Tulsi's list:

Barack Obama, Christopher Ray, Hillary Clinton, James Comey, John Brennan, James Clapper, Mike Pompeo, Christopher Steele, Igor Danchenko, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, Alexandra Chalupa, Paul Manafort, Tony Podesta, William Barr, Bruce Ohr, Nellie Ohr, Avril Haines, Glenn Simpson, Mary Jacoby, Carter Page, Amy Klobuchar, Mitch McConnell, Perkins Coie, Robby Mook, Harry Reid, Merrick Garland.

MaryAnn's avatar

That is a lot of evil. 😳 I wonder if they thought they had safety in numbers?

I will add BHO’s VP to that list.

Well, your job is to plant the seed, pray and God will do the rest: "And those whom He predestined, He also called; and those whom He called, He also justified; and those whom He justified, He also glorified." Right with you on not even watching tv at all. What for? Those of us who already watched at the apex(60s, 70s, 80s) turned it off as the 1980s slide into adrogeny and imbecilic sitcoms made way for murder/death/kill and overt guy sex in clothing, language, and behavior, leaving nothing to the imagination. That assault is what led to NPR. The calm voices, classical music interludes, and humor@ PrairieHomeCompanion were relief. Gabbard has FAR exceeded my expectations. If this case proceeds to any type of successful conclusion, she will be the first female POTUS. I think very highly of Vance, but Gabbard at the top of the ticket would be unbeatable, especially if Vance volunteers to be VP again. He's quite young and can follow Gabbard as POTUS in 2036.

Republicans have a "good problem". There are so many highly qualified people that will be able to run in 2028, and I'm sure all are ambitious, that they'll have to be very careful not to break the party apart during the primaries. It's going to take some very selfless moves from a number of folks to, for the good of the country, not run in 2028.

But what about this? Take a look at this 1 minute video. This kind of content is suddenly all over YouTube. And it is no accident. Somebody is pushing this. Up to now this kind of thing was always labeled anti-semitic.

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/cH20aD7Tuu8

mary's avatar

The anti-Semitic rhetoric so prevalent on social media is frightening.

Politico Phil's avatar

To be clear, that video was not anti-Semitic. Owen was complaining about the amount of undue influence Israel, a foreign state, has in American politics and government. The Demorats made up lies about Russia Russia Russia having influence all the while ignoring the one foreign power that DOES have undue influence and has hooks into every Congressman.

Normally, any media complaining about Israel's influence would get silenced and, if not, all you would hear are screams of "Anti-Semitic" the same way the woke commies would scream "Racist" if you complained about the open borders or the policies of the Biden regime.

The fact that there are now videos all over YouTube like Owen's suggests to me that a change is happening here. I'm very curious what this means.

Praying for you now, right this minute. I pray that God will be glorified through this, reach out his healing hand for her, and work in the lives and hearts of all involved in her care. I pray His presence is felt by her and that she and you feel His loving embrace and grow confident that whether here or with Him she is in loving tender hands and therefore has nothing to fear. I pray most for a miracle, if it can fit within the plans He has for her that He heal her, whether through leading her caretakers to alternative treatments or simply blowing everyone away with an unexplained miraculous recovery that allows her to walk out of there and live a long life. I pray for you and your family to remain steadfast and confident in God’s will, whatever it may be, and find peace even now.

I am so sorry. My sweet neighbor just passed from that on July 9. We are so sad. Prayers for all of you. 🙏

RunningLogic's avatar

I’m so sorry for the loss of your neighbor 😞

Jeff S's avatar

Sad. Sorry. Praying for her.

Susan Seas's avatar

I’m so very very sorry! 🙏🏻

CStone's avatar

And my prayers for her and the entire family.

Ok Tulsi- now do Fauci and Gates and the various “health agencies.” The mountains of evidence on their bio-weapon attack on we the people awaits.

Barbara ( Portlander😵‍💫)'s avatar

Yes please. Fauci could be charged with crimes against humanity

Kathleen Janoski's avatar

So should the DoD and DARPA and NIH.

Joze's avatar

Why not charge the heads of those agencies and then let them all turn on Fauci until the world court turns on him and we the people could turn him over... Sounds like fun and they could finally serve a useful purpose again.

Bitsy54's avatar

Frau hi is a cockroach for sure, BUT Peter Danzig and Ralph Baric were masterminds behind the scheme and their names need to be brought out into the light.

Kat's avatar

I don’t know how those 3 sleep at night. You’d think their guilt would be like the Edgar Allen Poe story of the ever present beating heart!! I’m guessing their hearts are of stone!!

Lydia Lozano's avatar

Where is that in the Constitution? "Crimes against humanity" are prosecuted by the International Criminal Court in The Hague. Its jurisdiction is not recognized by the United States. There are plenty of U.S. laws that he appears to have broken that would serve as reasons for his prosecution.

GregWA's avatar

And put Fauci in Epstein's cell...I hear it's available and it has a noble history of being a safe place to hold someone under threat.

AJF's avatar

Barbara, "should be" with all the available evidence 🤬

FreeBird07's avatar

And Francis Collins, ironically he was just on Colberts show yapping about misinformation...

Conservative Contrarian's avatar

I'm worried she put it all on the blackhole known as Bondi's desk.

Craig Warhurst's avatar

Don’t forget that we are seeing 4 D political chess being played out for many to be drawn in and macerated.

John Sutton's avatar

Canceling Colbert was a VAX SCENE reaction.

Starsky's avatar

I had seen the Vax-Scene clip previously, but when Gutfeld showed it again last night, it startled me all over again. How could people not see that for the utter agitprop it was???

RunningLogic's avatar

It was bizarre and creepy 😳

Carrie's avatar

Arrest Obama and his minions!!!!

RunningLogic's avatar

I’m glad they’re looking at getting rid of the liquids rule too. Most of the TSA rules on that are relatively arbitrary (someone I know had a tub of butter taken away because it could melt into a liquid 🙄). Some consider gels liquid, others don’t. I don’t think we are any safer as a result of these rules.

I also have heard horror stories about the newer machines that scan and detect moisture, with people who sweat a lot (or even women menstruating) having to get an extra close up pat down to check that they’re not transporting something they shouldn’t. Apparently these machines are not used in Europe because they’re considered to be too inaccurate. But they’re yet another opportunity to humiliate and inconvenience the American traveler 😡

Robin Greer's avatar

My Aunt had a jar of sealed jelly from a popular local touristy restaurant which my mom bought her. The TSA took it from her. I was thinking that was totally ridiculous and stupid. It's like sanctioned thievery.

Bitsy54's avatar

On our way to Vienna one year my luggage got pulled aside for a suspicious item inside. As the TSA agent pulled all my carefully packed items out and dumped them on the table, I objected to the haphazard handling on my “stuff” and the agent bruskly said, “no talking! Mam” and continued. My 6 year old daughter, standing with my husband who had successfully cleared the check, nervously asked her dad, “If mommy goes to jail, can we still go on vacation?” 🤣🤣 When the agent successfully dug out the offending item and held it up I told him, “That is a metal sanding file for pedicures; it smooths callouses” TSA is a joke.

RunningLogic's avatar

Ooh you’re so dangerous with your pedicure tool 😱🙄

Also 😂 at your daughter’s question. Kids are so unfiltered 😆

PamelaZelie's avatar

Years ago, at the airport trying to corral 3 young children through check-in, they stopped me to search more extensively, including a pat-down while letting strong, able-bodied, unaccompanied men stroll through inspection. And no, no alarms or warning preceded them choosing me to harass. I’m surprised the next person they chose to pat-down wasn’t an elderly grandmother.

Susan Seas's avatar

See my above comment on my confiscated peanut butter. I’m probably on a list 🤣

Horizons's avatar

We were carrying a travel sewing kit and the agent took out the needles, broke them all in half, then returned the kit to us.

Horizons's avatar

Seriously, if I could take down an airplane with a 2 inch long sewing needle, couldn't I still do it with half a sewing needle?

luluweaver's avatar

As someone who sews, I laughted out loud at your comment about taking down a plane with half a handsewing needle! Hilarious and unbelievable!

Robin Greer's avatar

It's like they all have a major Barney Fife complex

Susan Seas's avatar

🙄 they once broke my husbands fingernail clippers you know the little “knife” part 🤣🤣🤣🤦🏼‍♀️

PEL's avatar

A few months after 9/11 a Canadian agent took my dangerous tweezers.

Robin Greer's avatar

🙄 You might pluck someone's eye(brow) out.

luluweaver's avatar

Oh your comment is a good one too!

Oregon Kathy's avatar

Unopened! I had peanut butter taken.

Robin Greer's avatar

The insanity is overwhelming.

Carol M.'s avatar

Tulsi got the up close and personal virtually each time she flew.🙄

Kathleen Janoski's avatar

Tulsi had the dreaded SSSS on her boarding card.

CStone's avatar

And I’m willing to bet that they never embarrass , humiliate or inconvenience a Muslim woman.

PamelaZelie's avatar

That would be discrimination.

Jeff S's avatar

I got pulled aside once for having a full bladder.

Tom's avatar

"Sir, your heart is filled with blood."

luluweaver's avatar

I'm laughing my head off this morning with these comments about TSA take downs. Great comment!

RunningLogic's avatar

I believe it! 😛

Pthalocyanine's avatar

break some bones and you always get a pat down. I don't care anymore, no big. Want to stop having to pull out the liquids tho. just scan my bags!

Sue Kelley's avatar

Just flew last week. Had a brand new bottle of tanning water I thought I put in my checked luggage. Oops 8 oz. Got pulled aside and the nice agent said “ I’m going to let you pass but be aware other checkpoints might not.” I was blown away!

Jeff S's avatar

Ah, true magnanimity. The putz.

RunningLogic's avatar

Well at least he was trying a little. Most would’ve just thrown it away 😕

Jeff S's avatar

At the end of the day, those agents probably empty the bins and divvy up the contents for personal use or sale?

RunningLogic's avatar

I always wonder about that!

Beckadee's avatar

Too many Barney Fife's working for TSA.

JBell's avatar

What is tanning water?

Jeff S's avatar

Tan lotion container emptied of lotion then filled with liquor of some kind, I think. At least, that's what the guy told me before I bought a bottle from him in Coach.

Tom's avatar

I'm guessing it was the gentleman who lacked a tan, but had red spider veins on his nose.

Jeff S's avatar

He resembled William Claude Dukenfield (W. C. Fields), if I remember correctly after finishing off that entire concoction.

Juju's avatar
Jul 19Edited

That laugh caused me to cough and choke. 🤣😆

mary's avatar

And I thought common sense was dead!

Laura Z's avatar

Wow I wish that had happened to me with my expensive sunscreen I forgot to take out of my backpack in Hawaii;

Susan Seas's avatar

I had to throw away a small jar (unopened) of peanut butter 😡

🌱Nard🙏's avatar

Adam Ruins Everything did a hilarious episode on TSA several years ago. TSA has NEVER prevented an attack on the homeland. You can watch it here: https://youtu.be/-LDzOi1dyAA?si=zZNnOuTP8NyLefHE

RunningLogic's avatar

I know someone who inadvertently left a large hunting knife in his bag and went overseas with it and it was never caught. He realized he had it only after he’d gotten to his hotel and started unpacking.

🌱Nard🙏's avatar

Can’t tell you how many times I traveled with pepper spray designated as a weapon…made it through every single time.

Robin Greer's avatar

We know someone who did the exact same thing. Don't catch the obvious but have a fit over a jar of peanut butter or jelly.

Jeff S's avatar

In my salad days, I once passed through security with a knife in my back, exactly where my old girlfriend tried to hide it. She was a real cut up.

Kathleen Janoski's avatar

Taking my shoes off really, really annoyed me.

Was safe in flying out of the US because of TSA Pre-Check, but still had to do it in some countries in Europe.

Susan Seas's avatar

What they put my poor dad through who we would hire someone to take him in the big wheel chair. Stroke victim with poor mobility and couldn’t go through the scanner you would have thought he was on a ter ror watch list!!

RunningLogic's avatar

It is just beyond stupid sometimes 😡

Alan Devincentis's avatar

It’s why my bride and I no longer fly. She too is in a wheelchair, for travel. Apparently those terrorists use little old white ladies in wheelchairs to transport bombs. Idiots.

RunningLogic's avatar

That’s terrible, it infuriates me that she is treated like that 😡

JBell's avatar

Why is someone traveling with a tub of butter?

RunningLogic's avatar

I knew someone would ask that question 😆 It was because he was staying at a place where he needed to make his own breakfast and didn’t want to have to go and get groceries right away so took some food with him. In any case, what business is it of the TSA agents why he’s traveling with butter if it’s not a restricted item?

Jeff S's avatar

Literally, a tub of butter? Not a tubby travel companion?

RunningLogic's avatar

Yea, as in the spreadable kind, not the sticks of butter 😉

Jeff S's avatar

It's none of my business, either, but travel with a tub of butter? He should have gone out for breakfast at a trattoria or boulangerie, depending on the destination?

RunningLogic's avatar

Saving money. It’s a long and complicated story. Don’t want to go into it here.

Susan Seas's avatar

No but I have been MANHANDLED in Europe many times that made me feel violated!

Kathleen Janoski's avatar

They should at least buy us dinner first.

RunningLogic's avatar

You wonder how many people get a charge out of that 😡

Jeff S's avatar

Oh, only all of them.

PEL's avatar

I enjoyed a free breast massage at OHare last month. Better than my gynecologist!!

Juju's avatar

And ALL the mysterious aircraft crashes in the past year alone were caused by the pilots, not any of the passengers and their mouthwash bottles or suspiciously large shoes. It’s a perfect example of tearing away the freedoms of all for the scant few “what ifs”. Has ANY terrorism been prevented by these rules even once in the past 20 years?

RunningLogic's avatar

Right?? I don’t think any of these ridiculous rules have helped. But I’m sure they’ll point to the fact of not having any attacks as proof. Um well, as everyone loves to say, correlation doesn’t always equate causation!

Cynthia's avatar

As of yesterday’s dramatic disclosures, I’ve added Tulsi to the people I’m praying for God to protect and keep safe.

Mark Ritter's avatar

Jeff thanks for including us while on your vacation. Hopefully your family still enjoys the time you all have together.

RunningLogic's avatar

—“Good morning, C&C, it’s DayOfWeek!”

😆😂 This is a great way to avoid the “Jeff, it’s actually Saturday” kinds of comments 😁

Carol M.'s avatar

And he is on vacay🤓☕️🍪I like it’s “day of week”🥳

RunningLogic's avatar

Me too! 😁 That’s what it always feels like on vacation anyway 🤪😆

schneile's avatar

I caught that, too. Jeff works so hard that I'm glad he missed one small detail! GO JEFF!

MJOBrien's avatar

When I'm on vacation, I don't know what day of the week it is, either. But Jeff must have had a hard year - he doesn't know what year it is! (2106)

schneile's avatar

LOL I saw that too but didn't want to be a nudge!

MJOBrien's avatar

I don’t know what a nudge is, but I don’t want to be one, either. Everyone deserves a vacation!

RunningLogic's avatar

Back to the future? 😆
