Thank you so much for this information - it greatly helped me prepare for my interview. I was completely grilled with every question mentioned in the post by my employers employment attorney. He even brought up the over the counter Tylenol, Advil blah blah. I stuck to my guns. Hopefully, I will have my exemption granted. I just feel violated to even have to explain such personal information to a complete stranger.
I have a coworker whose religious exemption accommodation request reads as follows: "I prayed to the divine energy of the universe to ask if I should receive the Covid-19 vaccine, and the divine energy of the universe answered my prayer with the word, 'No.' In accordance with this answer to my prayer, it is my sincerely-held, personal religious belief that I must not receive the Covid-19 vaccine. My deeply-held, personal, religious beliefs are exactly that -- deeply-held, personal, and religious. As such, I request a religious exemption accommodation." Coworker is not claiming any connection to an organized church or religious leader, states this is his personal, deeply-held religious belief. His strategy is to keep it very simple and straightforward. Thoughts on how this may or may not succeed?
Like most people who work for federal subcontractors - I don't think it matters how many layers down - I just got the letter and this is very good info. Thanks. Like the repetitive, very lenient use of the terms safe and effective. Abbot put them in his proclamation too.
My husband is experiencing this right now as well as a he is involved in sales to some federal agencies...the crazy thing is he ahs been working from home for almost 2 years and could still plan to do so, SO why does he have to follow this mandate!!!
"On September 24, 2021 the Safer Federal Workforce Task Force released guidance on implementing President Biden's Executive Order on Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors. Per this guidance, contractors and subcontractors, including those teleworking, must be fully vaccinated by Dec. 8, 2021, unless they are exempted for religious or medical reasons." ... "staff must be "fully vaccinated for COVID -19" by Dec. 8, 2021, unless the employee is legally entitled to an accommodation. Fully vaccinated is defined as two weeks after they have received the second dose in a two-dose series, or two weeks after they have received a single-dose vaccine as shown below: ...(list of dates)..."staff who have had a prior COVID-19 infection are not excluded from the mandate and will be required to be vaccinated."
Then it goes into you have options, such as quitting.
Wish I would have read this when I helped my husband with his RE paperwork. We submitted it just before the lawsuits kicked in and stopped the nonsense last year. The employer backed off mandates and rightly so in light of today’s SCOTUS decision.
Still, the employer has that RE paperwork on file somewhere and I’ve wondered what, if anything will become of it🤷♀️
C&C thank you so much for this guidance - a friend who may be subject to OSHA mandate cheered today, but we will keep your advice close at hand in case company still enforces it
How many class action lawsuits have been awarded against FDA approved drugs? It's a stretch to call it "safe" or "effective " since it still allows infection and spread. Mandating it on people with natural immunity is not science, it's politics.
I turned in a DETAILED lengthy religious exemption citing scripture, but also citing detailed reasons (none of which are conspiracy based) and my employer is STILL requesting a letter from someone…. Is this legal?!
I am in Ga and had to with draw my grandbaby from daycare because GA has a religious exemption form that the parent has to sign and the form can not be changed according to the auditor. I did not agree with some of the statements and refused to sign so the state said they will fine the daycare if my grandbaby is still there without the form not being altered. Is there anyone I can contact about this.

Hi Eddie - What letter did you receive?
The contractor standard letter in part:
"On September 24, 2021 the Safer Federal Workforce Task Force released guidance on implementing President Biden's Executive Order on Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors. Per this guidance, contractors and subcontractors, including those teleworking, must be fully vaccinated by Dec. 8, 2021, unless they are exempted for religious or medical reasons." ... Do you have any recommendations on what to put in a new contract when going to work for a corporation?
Especially for a corporation involved with health care.

Thank you Jeff. This is of such great value to me!

So if they request a signed letter from a pastor, that is not legally required?
I turned in a DETAILED lengthy religious exemption citing scripture, but also citing detailed reasons (none of which are conspiracy based) and my employer is STILL requesting a letter from someone…. Is this legal?!
No, third party verification is optional. Tell them title vii of the civil rights act says so and cases have upheld this.
Can an employer legally require a letter from a pastor
